Process China Collect Process

Hi, Experts,
I need to add a decision step in my process chain so that if one of the precedessor sucess, it will continue the chain.
That is to say, the process chain will continue only when all the predessors finish and at least one of them is finished with green.
I tested the "OR" collect process type, it seems that it doesn't wait the finish of all the predessors. If one finishes with sucess, i would continue.
Can someone confirm that and give me a solution?

Hi, Srinivas
To what i know, the OR will run every time if one of the predecessors finish with sucess. Ex: If you have Step A1, Step A2 and Step A3 at the first level  in paralel, then you have OR linked these predessors to Step B.
For the instant T1, STEP A1 is still running, Step A2 is finished with success, Step A3 is finished but red.
> Step B will run as Step A2 is green.
For the instant T2 (T2>T1), STEP A1 is also finished with green, STEP A2 is finished already finished with sucess, STEP A3 is red,
> Step B will run again as STEP A1 is green.
This is what i understand the collection type "OR".
What i need is to wait until all the predecessor finish, and at least one of them finish with sucess.
If we continue with the above example, the process chain will wait until Step A1 and A2 and A3 are all finished, then it will look at the status. If there is one green, it will run Step B. But Step B should only run ONCE.

  • What are process types in process chain

hi any one tell me what are process types in Process chains

    Hi,
In the Plan View of the process chain maintenance screen.
In the left-hand area of the screen, a navigation area is displayed. In the right-hand area of the screen, the process chain is displayed.
Use the drag-and-drop function to add the relevant processes into your process chain.
You use the Process Types function to select the processes. This sorts the process types according to different categories. You can also call up InfoPackages and processes for the data target from the separate InfoSources and Data Targets navigation trees.
If you insert into the chain a process that is linked to additional processes, the respective process variants are generated and inserted into the process chain automatically. These variants are suggestions and can be changed, replaced or removed from the chain if required.
Only if the attribute realignment run is inserted automatically, do you also arrive at the variant maintenance screen.
If you want to specify yourself the processes that are to be included in a chain, choose Settings ® Default Chains, and select the Do Not Suggest Processes option. As a result, the system does not suggest, generate, or insert automatically any processes into the chain. This setting is user-specific.
If the chain that you create does not correspond to the standard, the system displays a warning. You can ignore these warnings if you are sure that you are creating a chain that meets your requirements. Warnings do not affect how the chain operates during runtime.
Your chain is checked in the checking view and during activation. The system tells you if it discovers any errors.
Creating a Process Chain Using the Maintenance Dialog for a Process
You are in the maintenance dialog of a process that you want to include in a process chain.
    1. Choose the Process Chain Maintenance pushbutton and create a process variant.
    2. Save the variant and go back to the previous screen.
A dialog window appears in which you enter a technical name and a description of the chain that you want to create.
    3. Confirm your entries.
The Add Start Process dialog window appears.
    4. Create a variant for a start process.
    1. a. On the Maintain Start Process screen, choose whether you want to schedule the chain directly or whether you want to start it using a metachain.
    2. b. If you choose to schedule the chain directly, enter the start date value for the chain under Change Selections and save your entries.
The Maintain Start Process screen appears again.
    3. c. Save your entries, return to the previous screen and confirm your entries in the Add Start Process dialog window.
You are taken to the Plan View of the process chain maintenance screen.
The various process categories, the application processes, and collection processes are displayed in the left-hand area of the screen. In the right-hand area of the screen, the process chain is displayed.
If the process that you used to create a chain is linked to additional processes, the respective process variants are generated and inserted into the process chain automatically.
    5. Use the drag-and-drop function to insert any additional relevant processes into your process chain.
You use the Process Types function to select the processes. This sorts the process types according to different categories. You can also call up InfoPackages and processes for the data target from the separate InfoSources and Data Targets navigation trees.
Additional Steps to Creating a Process Chain
    6. When you add a process, you need to select a process variant or create a new variant. For collection processes, the system determines the variants.
Various functions for working with the process are available from the context menu:
Context Menu Entry for a Process Function Information
Maintain Variants With the exception of the variants in the collection process, you can use this function to change all process variants.
Exchange Variants You can swap the variants for an existing variant or a new variant.
Display Scheduled Jobs Once the process chain is active, you can use this function to display the jobs that have been scheduled.
Display All Jobs After at least one run of the process chain, you can display, for a specific process, all of the scheduled jobs for this process and all of the jobs with which this process was run. You arrive at the job overview from where you call up the relevant job log.
Create Message You can also send messages to an application process of the chain, depending on the success or failure of the process.
    1. 1. From the context menu of a process, create an additional process variant of the Send Message type.
    2. 2. If you maintain a message, first specify whether you want the message to be sent when the process has been completed successfully or unsuccessfully. Then choose Next.
    3. 3. You arrive at a window, in which you can select an existing process variant or create a new one.
    4. 4. If you create a new process variant, edit the document that is going to be sent, and maintain a list of recipients.
    5. 5. Save your process variant and go back a step.
The message process variant is now assigned to your application process. When the message is sent, the status information and the process log can also be sent.
    Wait Time
You use this function only to debug a process run.
Specify how long (in seconds) you want the delay to be between one event being triggered and the next process starting.
You can capture the process by using transaction SM37 (Job Overview) or SM50 (Process Overview).
Remove Process You use this function to remove a process from a process chain.
Manage Data Target You use this function in connection with the following types of process variants
    1. • constructing indexes
    2. • deleting indexes
    3. • constructing database statistics
    4. • rolling up filled aggregates
    5. • compressing InfoCubes
    6. • activating ODS object data
to call up the administration for each of the data targets.
    7. Hold down the left mouse button to connect the processes through events.
Before you do this, select the process underneath the process type row, and position the cursor over the required process. When you select the process type row, the whole process is moved into the plan view.
From the context menu of a link, you can display the event or remove the link again. To do this, highlight the link and right-click with the mouse.
    8. If necessary, specify whether you want the event to be triggered after the previous process has been completed successfully or unsuccessfully or whether you want the event to be triggered independently of the outcome of the process that precedes it.
    9. Under Attributes ®Display Components assign a display component to the process chain.
    10. Maintain additional process chain attributes if necessary.
    11. Check your process chain in the Check View and make any necessary corrections.
The Legend explains the meaning of the different colors used to display the processes and links.
From the context menu for a process, you can display the messages resulting from the check.
    12. Save your process chain if it does not contain any errors.
    Result
Your process chain can be activated. After activation, the chain starts in accordance with the start process selections. For example, if you scheduled the start process directly and chose Immediately as the start date value, the chain run starts immediately after activation. In the Log View, you can display the reports for the chain runs.
    Hope it helps.

  • Any provision in MIRO to process payment collectively?

    Hi,
I have got to know the SAP option whether it is available or not?
SD transportation/shiment cost intergration with MM-Account Payable.
    process:
    1. VA01 - create sales order
    2. VL01n - create Delviery
    3. VL02n - PGI
    4. VT01n - create Shipment
    5. VI01 - create shipment cost doc.
then PO will get generated automatically.
for that PO, a service entry sheet is created for every L.R no given by Transport vendor.
then MIRO is posted for the service entry sheet.Payment is done against that.
But my client's requirement is that normally transporter will have contract with the company.
Transporters supply to various Customer place and raises the bill for every L.R no.
The company will do paymen for the amount based on Bill no.consisting of multiple L.R no / invoice no.
Is there any provision in MIRO for posting multiple invoices raised by transporter?
To brief this, multiple invoices raised by transporter can be settled bgy single payment in AP module . A validation also is needed there so that it should NOT allow the system to pay for the same L.R no. twice.
Tthe requirement is 1 bill is sent to the company which consists of various L.R Nos with the relevant invoice no and Amount.
I request you to furnish any provision in MIRO to process payment collectively.
Please help me in this regard.
    Regards,
    Anbu

    hi,
    From the MM side...
when you make the invoice for the same vendor and for the given amount twice...system can automatically restrict it....
to achieve this scenerio...you have to activate the Vendor double/duplicate invoice check...
You can activate it for :
    1. Company code
    2. reference number
    3. document date
    4. vendor
    5. amount
    6. currency
While you set up from the below link, when you set up for first three options the system automatically activates for the rest three as well...
    settings:
SPRO >> MM >> LIV >> incoming invoice >> check for duplicate and double invoice....

  • Collective Processing VL10 is not grouping deliveries for same sales parame

    Hi.
Created multiple sales orders for same sales parameters like ship to, sold to, sales org, etc.
When tried to process collectively the delivery ceation via VL10, system generated group for each delivery selected instead of creating group for multiple deliveries.
When I compared my client's system config with Standard config client, it is exactly same in terms of all parameters, scenario profile, delivery creation profile, etc. The standard system works as expected and grouping the deliveris and create one group for multiple deliveries.
The group type is L and delivery categories we are tryign to group is J & T.
    Thanks,

    hi sridhar
Collective processing of deliveries means delivering the few order collectively. that means one delivery document for  all orders.
In vl10h u can access only orders due for delivery.
first of all mark the orders line items to do collective processing deliveries.

  • Concurrency Visualizer Extension (VS2013): "An unknown error occurred while trying to start the collection process."

Not sure if this is the right place to ask about this but since my question concerns an extension I'll give it a shot.
I'm trying to use the Visual Studio 2013 Concurrency Visualizer extension to debug a simple test console application. I've set executive paging to disabled in the registry as it directed and hit "add SDK to project" in the concurrency
visualizer menu options. And of course, restarted my computer to apply the settings. When I try to "start [the concurrency visualizer] with current project" I get an error popup:
"An unknown error occurred while trying to start the collection process."
I really need the concurrency profiling to start debugging contention in my multithreaded application. Prompt assistance would be much appreciated.

    Hi,
This forum is to discuss and ask questions about extending and integrating with Visual Studio (using the Extension Manager, building VSX containers for deployment, Visual Studio SDK, and more), Visual Studio Online (REST APIs, service hooks, and OAuth),
    and Team Foundation Server.
You have problems when using Concurrency Visualizer Extension, please ask in
the page under "Q AND A". Since Concurrency Visualizer is a diagnostic tool, you can post this issue in
Visual Studio Diagnostics (Debugger, Profiler, IntelliTrace) forum too.

Well known issue in LMS 2.6. Most likely you are hitting CSCsm97530. As a temporary solution you could remove and re-add problematic device from CS. To get a permanent fix you need a patch (provided by TAC).

  • Regarding process chin.

    Hi all,
If i am using process chin then how can i ensure that the data is uploaded in to PSA,ODS and infocube.
I mean is there any log facility for this..
    thanks,

    Hi Gautam,
We can check thi by many ways,
1.Tcode RSPC --> Duble click your process chain --> Click on Log View Ikon or Shift+F1
    2. RSMO gives info about all loads
    3. SM37 -> type * and click Execute --> select the job and click Job Log
4.Go RSPC1 and mention your process chain
    5. RSPCM monitors daily process chain
    Hope this helps,

  • Collective processing for status CLSD for production order

    Hi, All.......
Is there any provision or Tcode to give status CLSD for all Production orders.......
I hv checked COHV tcode but except TECO there is no provision for CLSD.
    Yogesh.........

    Hi Yogesh,
Now there are 2 things involved in this..
    1. CLSD or DLFL
    2. Collective settlement of the Orders
    Isn't it??
    2. Collective Settleemnt of the Orders/Collective Processing with CO88.
Before this there will be other steps also like Over head calculation, WIP calculation, variance calculation etc.. So, check with Controlling Team also..
After that, you can device a Process for this and instruct the user to follow the process..
    1. Until unless you does the Settlement, it is not possible to have the Status CLSD/DLFL
For collective updation of the Status DLFL, you need to go with the Program PPARCHP1.
If you execute the Program with SA38, in the next scrren, you can select Multiple Orders or as per the selection criteria and Tick the Chcek Box for Deletion Flag only..

  • Tcode for Sales Order Output(collective processing)

    Hi
What is the tcode or program to print sales orders collectively, similar to VL71 for deliveries & VF31 for invoices.
    Regards
    Uma

    Hi Uma
There is no such T code for sales order print.
You can use SE38-> run RSNAST00 program for sales order output (collective processing).
    try and revert.

They are definately supported. However such issues are usually due to device packages, if unavailable or not installed.
    Please do following :
    1. Check Admin > software centre > device updates and check any devices packages available in Cisco.com and install it and recheck.
    2. Please do a snmpwalk on problematic device on sysObjectID and share result. Following is the way to do snmpwalk :
GUI - Open the device in Device Centre (Inventory > Tools > Device Center) and open the device with IP and from tools select snmpwalk and do it for sysObjectID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2)
CLI : CD to NMSROOT/objects/jt/bin from command prompt. run command as per following syntax:
    snmpwalk -v2c -c <snmp_community_string> 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2
    Example :
    community string = test123
    IP = 10.1.1.1
    snmpwalk -v2c -c test123 10.1.1.1 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2
    3. Please check your device package, by clicking on the number of packages in front of Inventory, conifg and image management from :
Admin > System > Software Center > Device Update
Also, check device identity under edit identity option from :
Inventory > Device Administration > Add / Import / Manage Devices
Check my screenshots for details :
    Please check and share results.
    -Thanks

  • Collecting Process Chain Statistics

    Hi anyone,
I'm looking to write some ABAP Code to collect Process Chain Statistics so they can be coherently evaluated and not by looking at the process chains individually. I'll be looking to identify variances in # of records, load times, etc. so I can send out alerts.
I've been able to collect a lot of Process Chain Process information so far using existing API and FM calls.  I'm able to get down to the Process Log Levels so far, but I'm trying to think how to go about collecting the actual key figures I need.
<b>I'm looking to capture things like the following:</b>
    - Statistics of each process chain and related process chain process like I need to know that my ODS activation started @ 10am actived 10,000 records and ended at 10:01 am. (how long it took).
    - I need to know that my data load loaded 1,000 records and how long it took.
    - I need to know that my rollup compressed x number of records and took how long.. Etc, Etc, Etc.
I know the BI Administration Cockpit in 2004s might provide some/most of this information, but it isn't an option right now.
The way I see it I really only 1 option with a 2nd potential option:
    1. Most likely option is to write a program to go out and collect the statistics for all the processes executing the program on a scheduled basis.
    2.  Modify/Copy the process chain process classes to somehow output the statistics I need.  No idea how I would do this yet.
So again I am currently down to the process level logs and just don't know how to collect the statistical key figures I need like how many records were loaded, compressed, activated, etc...  I'm thinking of somehow parsing the logs to get the key figures, but that seems like it would be difficult.
Anyone have any suggestions or ideas how to collect this information so I can report on it?
I posted this here because I thought the bw abappers would frequent this area.  Also, If anyone thinks this would be better suited in another forum then please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Ken Murray
