Process getting killed automatically

Hi
I am using jdk 1.5 and java processes are getting killed automatically on server. Processes were working on test servers. Is anybody facing the same issue or knowledge about the same.

Some background processes getting killed abruptly

Hi,
We have an E-Biz database and sometimes users complaint that some of the forms/JSP pages are not working fine. When i check the alert log, i find the following error messages which are marked as non critical.

When i checked the background processes, mmon and mmnl processes were not running. When we restarted the database, everything started working fine.
this problems keep coming occasionally. Any help will be appreciated.

PMON failed to delete process, see PMON trace fileWell i think those are enough for you to understand the problem but the important thing here to diagnose is the "deadlock". First of all forget about everything and answer the question "do you know what is a deadlock?". If your answer is no, please go to the http://tahiti.oracle.com and search for deadlock.
The problem is not the Oracle database, is the application that you are currently using. You have nothing to do about the suicide of the PMON and if you can not solve it by your own than you need to create an SR call.
Background processes "normally" do not kill theirselves.

Process not getting killed

Hi ,
I tried killing the process but still it is not getting killed.Used the below command.
kill -9 <pid>
sapkxdap10:orads2 9> ps -ef | grep sap

I cannot understand what the second field means question mark is there.How to kill the process if they are hung.Thanks.

I don't know - I have no clue under which circumstances something that like can occur. You can check using
ipcs -m
if there are any shared memory segments allocated. Also stop/kill "saposcol" and "sapstartsrv".

The question mark means the process has no connected terminal (just read the headline when you execute ps -ef) and was started by another process.

Restart automatically if application gets killed

I have this issue for two precise applications:
1. Mplayer - Wich I use as wallpaper but sometimes gets killed
2. Osdlyrics - It gest killed for no special reason (Seg fault)
I want to make a script so this applications be restarted in case they get killed, how could I track that and restart it?

Open Item not getting Cleared automatically

Dear Sir,
For a GL "Cenvat Clearing" , we have ticked the option "open Item Management" in FS00 .
Our business scenario is as below :
After MIGO , we do excise posting using J1IEX and here in the posted Fi document the GL "Cenvat Clearing" gets Credited . Subsequently during the MIRO this GL i.e "Cenvat Claering" gets Debited .
My problem is that when I see in FBL3n for this GL the relevant transaction still appear under the open Items . Pl guide me , as what is the reason for this entry not getting cleared automatically .

PO number cannot be taken as sort feild hence the value is in blank always.
You need to identify some value for this feild and as a process you need to tell your users to incorporate the same at the time of doing MIRO.
Or other wise you can take out the assignment of sort key to this GL account, and as a process you can instruct your user to use reference feild and input a value. If you fell that this is a tedious process,
the Identify another feild that is common for both debit and credit line items and try to post with a common valuie using, one ABAP program which will update this feild. Mind that this feild need to be in the OB74.

File Adapter BPEL Process getting switched off

The file adapter BPEL process reads a csv file which has a series of records in itfrom /xfer/chroot/data/aramex/accountUpdate/files. In between reading the files, the BPEL process gets switched off. The below snippet is the error we found in the domain.log. Anybody can you please suggest what to do?

The app gets killed on navigating to one or two views without showing any crash logs. How to check the cause of crash?

On launching the app, it works fine upto two or three pages and gets killed after some time. Currently not able to figure out what is the reason since its not showing any logs in device as well the project. In case there are memory issues , how can I fix them?

Use Instruments to Profile the app.
You can use Heapshots to see where memory is being allocated but not released.

1)Are the bgd workprocess free in the system currently?Check if there are any long running jobs holding them.
Bgd Work process are free but with error code 373,223,007 etc for all 5 bg wp

Getting so may Tem se management errors.
Some TemSe objects are stored in files. To do this, a path name is set up from the TemSe object name. To be able to use this path, TemSe management requires a directory. It attempted to create it itself. However, this did not succeed.
3)Check if the filesystem is full as you suggest no logs are being written.
File system having free space
4)Check if the user who has scheduled the job is locked ?

Reports Server Process gets crashed in 10.1.2.3.0

Hi,
We have 5 standalone production reports servers (10.1.2.3) load balanced through netscalar. We observed that the reports server process gets crashed intermittently which kills the reports jobs in the queue. Error as below is seen in the ipm.log under $ORACLE_HOME/opmn

Any idea wat could be causing the problem.. any configuration changes that need to be done like to set or increase some timeout parameters in the rep_server.conf, etc. Each time process crash is for exact 6 secs. It clears the failed jobs queue during this time. Do not see any jobs starting or ending during these 6 seconds.
Reports server version - 10.1.2.3.0
Platform - Windows
Report server type - Standalone
(Affecting our production environment ... Any suggestions, workarounds are highly appreciated)

Null value passed from first sheet will reach as value "" in second sheet. If passNullParameterAsNull="true", then Null value will always be passed as Null to second sheet irrespective of the value of "ShowNullValueAs" in second sheet.

Transfer order not getting created automatically for a backflushed FERT

I am having a strange problem. in my business process the WM system is set in such a way that the when a production order is confirmed automatic goods receipt for the FERT is done. which will automatically create a transfer requirement and convert the TR in to TO automatically and TO will be confirmed automatically.
the issue its not happening so.
when I confirm a production order its creating a TR instead of creating TR --> TO --> TO confirmation.
I tried doing manual goods receipt for the production ordeer and the process worked perfectly.
this process is not working for only one plant. and in another plant when i confirm a production order its creating a TR automatically and then tr is getting converted in to TO automatically and TO is getting confirmed automatically.
I checked all configuration and its all same for both plants.

I have got Nokia C6-00 in March , However after some day I started facing issues. Images in Photos and Messages are getting deleted automatically ..
Could you please suggest how to resolve this issue?

I think there are many equally likely explanations:
(1) The system is running normally, its just the application allows large backlogs to accumulate before it processes messages (eg, there are large bursts of messages).
(2) The application simply isn't processing messages as fast as they are produced.
(3) The application is somehow failing to delete messages. Perhaps there's a durable subscription on a topic that isn't being serviced, or perhaps the MDB is throwing exception or calling rollback.
(4) Some other type of data is accumulating in the store. For example, diagnostics subsystem logging may have been enabled.
I recommend examining your statistics to see if you can pin down which destination and/or subscription is accumulating messages (if any -- its possible some other subsystem is accumulating data -- such as the diagnostics subsystem has been known to to this).

Systemd/user: tmux sessions get killed when stopping systemd session

Following the wiki guide on systemd/user, I am now starting my X sessions using systemd unit files for my user.
My problem: when I quit X or exit the systemd session (for example through $ systemctl --user exit), my tmux sessions get killed along with it. Note, I do not start tmux with unit files, but simply through invoking “tmux” in a virtual terminal. I have also tried detaching the tmux session before quitting the systemd session, but to no avail.
How can I make my tmux sessions survive X closing?

That is beacuse tmux becomes a child process of the systemd --user session. So it gets caught up in the cgroup and everything. What I have done is I start a system service of tmux as my user (I have creatively come up with the name "[email protected]"). Here is what I've got, that has been working for me:
