PRodn qty to be 2% of sale order

hi,
my requirement is that when a sale order for a matrl is created for 100nos,the prodn plan has to be always 2% of the sale order, ie the pld order or a prod order should be 102 nos.
is this possible in std SAP. If so how?
regards

Rishi,
That is why i wanted to know if there is any system which will boost the pld ord qty by 2% over the sale order qty after MRP run.
Absolutely, this is standard functionality.  The answer was give to you earlier by expert Sundaresan
Maintain assembly scrap as 2 % in MRP1 view of the material master , when you run MRP ,System will plan for 102 qty,
.  However, you rejected this answer, it appeared this did not comply with your business model.
This is the business model that has me baffled.  Why would a business invest resources (Raw materials, Labor hours, etc) to physically build 102 pcs, but then tell themselves it only cost M/L/O equivalent to build 100?  If you actually performed the work to build 102, why wouldn't you book the cost for 102?

  • Fix Date & Qty Field in Schedule Lines Sales Order

    Dear Friends,
I want to understand the need and use of the Fix Date & Qty field check in the sales order -> Item -> Schedule Lines.
Can anybody explain me the need of the same.
    Regards,
    Harsh

If the availability check for an item determines that the item cannot be delivered fully on the requested delivery date, and, as a result one or more schedule lines have to be created for later delivery dates, the customer can decide whether to accept these delivery dates and quantities.
You can record the customer's decision either by setting an indicator in the Fixed date and qty field or by leaving this field blank. The field is displayed both on the schedule line overview screen and on the availability screen.
<b>Customer Accepts the Schedule Line Proposal</b>
If the customer accepts the schedule lines which are proposed by the system, mark the Fixed date and qty field. The system then transfers the requirements for the schedule lines to material requirements planning.
    <b>Customer Requires Goods Earlier</b>
If the customer requires the goods earlier than the date that the system can confirm after the availability check, leave the Fixed date and qty field blank. The system then only passes on the requirements for the requested delivery date and does not take the quantities and dates confirmed by the system after the availability check into account. In this case, it is assumed that the requested delivery date can be kept to because, for example, additional production capacity may become free. The system only confirms the sales order once the entire order quantity can be delivered on the requested delivery date. In the subsequent delivery processing, the sales order is only considered to be completed when the entire order quantity has been delivered or when all partial delivery agreements have been fulfilled.
A fixed item is considered to be completed once the entire confirmed quantity (which can be smaller than the originally requested order quantity)has been delivered. Therefore, it does not make sense to fix the confirmed quantity to 0 as the item is considered to be completed from the start.
During rescheduling, the fixed quantities and dates are no longer taken into account.

  • How to block the material qty to 1 while creating sales order (VA01)?

    Hi All,
Scenario :  We have 20 Materials each with 100 qty in Plant. In the sales order we should have all the 20 materials with qty one. The sales order should throw an error if the material qty is more than 1 and should not allow to create a sales order.
so is there any transaction code where we can block the entire material qty to 1 from the same plant while creating sales order?
Note: We should not set in MM01 "Minimum order qty". Assume we have 100 material in plant we can't set for each material one by one "minimum order qty".Instead of that is there any option to set the whole material qty to 1 as minimum while creating sales order?
Kindly guide me how to proceed.
    Thanks,
    Renjith

If you have access to idoc before calling the processing Function module, Adding header text segments E1EDKT1 and E1EDKT2 to the idoc will create the header text.

  • Dly Qty is Diff from the Sale order Qty

    Hi,
    Gurus
The sale order quantity for the Material X is 100 Qty, Material Y is 99.601 Qty, Material Z is 99.601.
While we see the same in delivery level the quantity is coming as 99.730 for Mtl X, 99.330 for Mtl Y and 99.330 for Mtl Z. Even the the quantity is confirmed for the Exact Qty in the Shedule Line in sale order.

    Hi,
Thank You All, Thank you all for the Coordination.
I have checked the same for what you have all told. I identified the Material in the sales order, the item category for this material as BOM.
I have also checked the bill of material display header overview. The Base Quantity maintained as 1000 EA3. The SUBITEM maintained in G in the unit field in bill of material display.
Accordingly i have checked the same for material master's additionl data in Units of Measure tab, it is mentioned the basic unit as 1000 EA3 and alternative unit as 600 G.
My client processed the order for 100 QTY. The QTY for the two sub item is 99.601 each in the sale order.
My client Question is why in delivery the Material Qty is coming as 99.730 and the SUB ITEM is coming as 99.330 EACH.
Note:-  The material X  is maintained in EA3 in Bill of material header overview. I do no how the sale unit came as G for the Material in sale order.
The other two sub item is perfectly coming as G. Because it is maintained in G in the Bill of Material Display.
    Guide me GURUS.

  • Component Qty Increases during change in Sales order for CONFIGURABLE MATL

    Hi PP Gurus,
I have setup a configurable material with a bom that has component quantities is computed by entering the characteristic values (length, width, thickness) in the SALES ORDER creation. When the go back to the sales order (VA02), and I change ONE CHARACTERISTIC value,  the component quantity changes as expected. However, when I select the header material then click the configuration icon to see the characteristic value and press back after seeing the values, the odd thing is that the component increases by a FACTOR (conversion of cubic inch to Liters, 61.023).
When I change the setting in the CONFIGURATION PROFILE-> untick "manual change allowed in the sales order,  this STOPS the component quantity from increasing.
I would really appreciate if someone can help me.
    Thanks,
    Heinrick Palad
Edited by: Heinrick Palad on Feb 11, 2009 4:32 AM

    Hi Shaik,
Yes, I have maintained an alternate unit of measure. The base unit of my component is LITERS (IN3) while my issuance unit / sales unit (unit in BOM) is CUBIC INCHES (IN3). It is interesting that the conversion from Liters to cubic inches is 61.023. WhY does it multiply by 61.023 everytime I tick on the CONFIGURATION ICON in the SALES ORDER while Im not changing anything in the CHARACTERISTIC values?..
It continues to multiply by 61.023 if i repeat on ticking on the CONFIGURATION ICON and going back to SO header view (until it encounters an error, because of a value of quantity too large).
    Thanks,
    Heinrick

  • Qty field greying out in Sales Order

    Dear Gurus,
I already posted one thread as given below:
Status of Sales Order not changing .
I was told that the status of the first OR will never change from 'Open', in the process flow:    OR - OR - LF - F2,    since the Schedule Lines created in the first OR will never be delivered.
We created a new Doc Type 'ZOR' an exact copy of 'OR' and a new Item Category 'ZTAN' an exact copy of TAN and unchecked 'Schedule Line Allowed'. Assigned 'ZTAN' to Doc Type 'ZOR'.
My understanding is now since ZTAN is not relevant for Schedule Lines, this sales order should not create any schedule lines and when this doc type ZOR is referenced to create another order 'OR', the status of 'ZOR' should change to 'Completed' once fully referenced.
But when I created a Sales Order, entering the SP, Material and Quantity and clicked 'Enter', system is giving the Item category as 'ZTAN' but greying out the Quantity field with out any value. Why is this happening?? What am I doing wrong? Please help me out here.
    Thanks and regards.
    Venkat - Hyd

    Hi Venkat,
If you will remove the tick mark/ activation from the "Schedule line allowed" check box in the Item category ZTAN, then you can not deliver the item as without schedule line, you can not delivered.
    The process is,
    Standard order(e.g, OR) -
    > Delivery (LF).
If you remove the activation, then system understands that it is not a deliverable item and takes it to grey mode.
If you want to deliver an item physically, then schedule line must have been allowed for it in its Item category level AND that schedule line must have been deliverable at the Schedule line category level ("Delivery relevance" field must have been activated).
Even one of the two condition is missing then you can not deliver an item physically.
For example, In Item category AGN for Quotation, you will find schedule line is allowed but if you will go to its Schedule line category BN, you will find it is not deliverable (the "Delivery relevance" field is blank).
Therefore, even though there is a schedule line for the Quotation item , still we can not deliver it which is logical.
So, use the available field for logical purpose, it will support you. As the fields are available, you can not put any value what you want, it must be logical.
If you want to make blank the "Schedule line allowed" field then copy the Item category "WKN" or "WKC" and from TAN.
Similarly, copy the Contract and not OR for your purpose.
Where as, you can not create a Delivery directly from Contract. So contract items do not require schedule line. Contract is completed by one or more Release orders and Release orders contain schedule line.
    The process is,
    Contract (e.g, QC, WK1, WK2) -
    > Release orders (e.g, OR) -
    > Delivery (e.g, LF).
Therefore, in Item category in contract (e.g,WKN , WKC etc) you will find that "Schedule Line Allowed" field is blank.

  • Sales order qty vs Billing Req qty

    Dear Gurus,
I created a Sales order for qty 100. with reference to this sales order i created a billing request for qty 70.
Now while i creating one more Billing request with respect to tha same sales order it is showing the open qty as 30, but when i try to change the open qty from 30 to 70 the system is allowing me give mor qty against to the respective sales order.
in this i want to restrict to the system to allow more qty against the sales order, how can i restrict?
    Cheers,
    Sumith

    Hi sumith
Check weather the billing relevance feild is C in for the item category VOV7.
check the copy controls in VTFA for OR and F2. for that item category and check weather the document flow is positive or not
But sumith if the item category is TAN in the sales order then it will take N number of qunatity in F2 ,as the item category TAN  is relavent for delivery. so copy controls wont be there for TAN. in VTFA.
    Reward if useful

  • Sales order qty not confirmed when delivery done with partial qty

    Hi Guru's
    Need your help............
We have issue in drop shipment scenario process. Sales order created with 10 line items from CRM and order released from CRM and replicated order to ECC and backend created PR also. After that user set reject status for all items so that PR line items also deleted, again user released rejection status for all items and line items updated in the same PR with different line item number for materials then PO & GR also done in ECC and stock also allocated for sales order line items but still sales order qty not confirmed in CRM sales order.
I checked all configurations regarding availability check but could not found.
    Example:
Sales order line item qty: 4            -      2 qty confirmed (delivered).
For remaining qty (2 items)I have done GR. After GR It is allocated to sales order but it is not confirming the order quantity.
plz help me to fix this issue?
    regards
    sai

    Hi,
Please check In ERP transaction OVZJ, for the sales org, distribution channel, and division that is being used in the affected sales orders, set the Avail. Check Rule to 'E'. Then retest the issue, as this might help.

  • Backorder qty on sales order

    Hi
When doing a sales order for item A, Qty = 100 (In stock = 90, Available = 90), the open qty (rdr1.OpenCreQty) on the sales order line = 100. In previous versions (if my memory serves me correctly) the open qty should be 10).
Only when copying the sales order to an invoice, does the open qty on the sales order change to 10. Therefore when running the backorder report it also shows 100 on backorder and will only show the correct backorder qty once the order is invoiced.
Did something change or is this a bug as I suspect.
    Client is on 2007A PL35.
    Regards

    Query for back order items.
    SELECT T1.[ItemCode],  SUM(T1.[OpenQty]) AS 'Back Order Qty' FROM ORDR T0  RIGHT OUTER JOIN RDR1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    WHERE
    T0.[DocDate] BETWEEN '[%0]' AND '[%1]'
    GROUP BY T1.[ItemCode]
    ORDER BY T1.[ItemCode]

  • BOM business requirement for sales order and PGI

    Hi Experts,
    Current setting
    The BOM structure is A = A1+A2
    1) Material A created in MM master item category group = ERLA
    2) Sub component material A1 and material A2, MM master item category group = NORM for both component.
    3) Maintained in CS01 BOM header is A and items are A1 and A2.
    4) Item category in IMG was created and assign item category also created.
        4.1) OR-ERLA-TAQ-TAE
new business requirement as listed below.
    5) The material A is alway zero quantity on hand, no goods receipt required with no physical with such material or package at all. (it is dummy material number in SAP).
    6) while SO created.
6.1) Fro material A sales price captured at BOM header level only, NO QTY and COSTshow in the sales order.
6.2) Material A1 and A2 are actual physical inventory item in the ware house.
6.3) The sub component of material A1 and A2 is required to captured QTY and COST. NO SALES PRICES NEEDED.
    CONCLUSION
HOW to setup/configure such a business scenario?
    - Is it logic to configure as OR-ERLA-TAE-TAN that's what i think of?
My problem is how to make the material A is alway ZEROS stock on hand and allow in sales order creation with ZEROS order qty?
MATERIAL                                          QTY                             COST                                  SALES NET VALUE
           A                                                      0                                   0                                              1,500.00
           A1                                                    1                                  100.00                                           0
           A2                                                    1                                    50.00                                           0

    As per your post,
    -  You are creating Main item which is a dummy material without any physical inventory maintained, but the pricing/billing should be done @ main item level.
    - here you are not dispatching main item, but billing should be carried at this level. in such case, I suggest you to go with the new sch.line cat w/o maintaining any mov type to it. & use Zitem category for this main item in VOV7, mark "Order qtty=1" so that min order qtty for this main item should be 1, so that you can calculate price.
    -  You want to capture Cost of sub items , summation of sub items cost is total cost of main item & Profit will be calculated accordingly.
Sub items, sch.line category should have mov type, item cat should be not relevant for pricing & billing , but relevant for sch.lines. In Copy control from delivery - Billing @ item level, for the main item ,- item category, choose "Cumulate cost", so that cost of the sub items will be cumulated to main item.
    eg:
MATERIAL QTY COST SALES NET VALUE
    A 0 0 1,500.00
    A1 1 100.00 0
    A2 1 50.00 0
My problem is how to make the material A is alway ZEROS stock on hand and allow in sales order creation with ZEROS order qty?
To avoid this, mark order qtty=1, in item category for main item, but for the same item, sch.line category should not have mov type. so that there will nt be any PGI document. But PGI should be done for sub items to capture inventory & cost.
Test & revert, if any issues.

    Dear SDNites,
When i make a account assigned PO(with ref to sale order), then material comes and goes directly for consumption.
I want that when the material comes after 105 movt., it should go to un-restricted stock and i can see in mmbe(or any other transaction) how much qty. has come against
which sale order, so that i can issue material also sale order wise by movement 231
Pls. help as to how to go about it.
    Rgds.,                                                    Parag                                                     09815999582.

    Hi,
When you are trying to create PO with reference to SO what is the item category used in SO, Use item category as "TAB" then SO will generate a Purchase Requisition. Convert this Purchase requisition in to Purchase Order, account assignment will be copied as "E Individual Customer stock" Sales order and Cost element will populate from PR.
When you post the GR for above PO, the stock is managed as Special Stock indicator "E" sales order stock, in MMBE also it displays as SO stock. At the time of GR value is booked to SO and stock will be shown in MMBE.
This stock is reserve for particular SO against which you have procured, but you can transfer post the same from SO stock to your OWN stock
    Hope this clarifies,

  • Batch split in sales order

    Hi,
I have a requirement as follows regarding the batch determination in sales order.
There is an item with 4 batches of 10 Qty each.
In the sales order the item is entered for 24 Qty, system is proposing 1st batch with 10 qty and the balance 14 is confirmed for a different date as no qty available for the stock as on today on the same batch.
But the stock is available with the other batch items meeting the selection criteria.
So can anyone let me know when the item is entered for 24, system should propose the available batches as 10 batch1, 10 batch2 and 4 for batch3 in sales order.
What is the setting required to be done for this scenario?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Gopinath Naik R

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
But my requirement is exactly the one u have suggested and it goes like this,
    Item A has three batches 00001111, 00002222, 00003333
    00001111  -  12 Qty
    00002222  -  15 Qty
    00003333  -  10 Qty
When a sale order is created for 14, as per the selection criteria if the selection is as per the sequence shown above, then system is first getting the batch 00001111 of 12 Qty and will prompt for 2 qty of stock not available.
But ideally system should first get 00001111 of 12 Qty and then in the next line 00002222 of 2 Qty to meet the requirement.
Please let me know if this was clear and let me know if any possibilities to meet the requirement.
    Thanks and Regards,
