Product registration website.

Posting in the main forum so someone could give me pointers....
I recently purchased a new Toshiba laptop( L305-S5955) and googled for the product registration website.
One of the links landed me onto: http://www.toshibaproductregistration.com/cgi-bin/reg.cgi
I submitted all the information but then I had this nagging doubt that maybe this was a fake website.
A WHOIS search took me to a 'private member' who has registered this domain.
Can someone confirm if this is a genuine website or a fake one?

Not sure. Just click on Warranty on top of this page then go to product registration. It will take you there for sure.

Unable to view photos of products on certain websites, why?

While in some websites to view their products, I click on the product and only the text comes up, no picture of the product just a blank space. I also tried going in to my recipe box through another website and the page is totally blank. The homepage of these websites is fine, pictures and all, but when I open a link within the site is when I am getting blank photos and pages. This is only happening since I am using Firefox, but I did try Internet Explorer and had the same results. Any ideas why?

How To Resolve Product Registration Issues?

I found it impossible to register my new Toshiba laptop on the registration web site. First, it claimed that my "product is already registered", then would not allow me to attach a PDF of my purchase receipt on the "Change Registration" screen.
I tried calling the support number to get help with registration and was unable to reach a human. I tried lying to the phone system and got tect support, but they said my issue was not theirs to handle.
I also tried to use the link to "Report web site problems", but that link is dead. How can I talk to a human at Toshiba about product registration issues?
This is my first interaction with Toshiba support, and I'm not favorably impressed.

Creative Product Registrat

Hi. Everytime we log in to our laptop, an error message comes up and won't go away. The message says the following:
CREATIVE PRODUCT REGISTRATION
This is not a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED MB Ready System.
This program will only run on a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED MB Ready system.
When I click OK, the message doesn't go away. We still have sound, so I don't know what I need to get rid of this message.

I recommend getting a startup manager and trying to narrow down just which creative app. is causing the error. You can get a great one from:
www.windowsstartup.com (Starup Inspector)
Make sure to click the "Consult" button after you open it so it checks online for what each file does. You may end up speeding your run speed and boot-time a good bit while your at it too
After you know which app. is causing the problem you can either re-install it or be able to very accurately describe the problem to Creative support.Message Edited by sni'ves on 0-22-2006 2:06 AM

How to create a silo for a product on a website with natural shadow?

I have 15 images that are shot on a white background and need to create a silo that has a transparent background but includes a natural shadow.
I'd also like to create an action for it.

I don't know what you mean by "silo", but just in general...
Use transparency in your Photoshop design, use e.g., a Drop Shadow layer style, and save your image as a PNG-24 file, which supports 24 bit color and partial transparency. All the modern web browsers will render PNG files with transparency.

Where to get refund on website for 3g Shuffles

About three weeks ago, I sadly bought a 3rd generation shuffle, specifically for physical activities. Like many, I have ran into incredible problems with this poorly constructed device, including the music control on the headphones going haywire and the battery charge lasting less than an hour. I was in the process of using the warranty to get a replacement, but really don't want another 3G, as this product is really garbage. Does anyone know how to get a refund for this product on the website?

If you bought it in the UK you can use the Sale of Goods Act if it can be shown that the goods (the ipod shuffle ) are not fit for purpose or not of merchantable quality.

Not recieved my product

Hi. I bought the photoshop creative cloud with 1 app download earlier today, but never got any product code or serial number. The payment has been taken though. I did download the photoshop from the creative cloud app that i got but when I open it i get a message saying my free trial has ended so I can't use it. What do I do? I do find it a bit rude that the payment has been taken when I cant even use my product! please help! and by the way, it is really hard to find out who to contact for help and support!

Hi. I have done all you sayd, but my photoshop is still not working. Still saying I need a serial number and that my trial has run out. If this is not sorted today I want my money back and will not be buying your products from the website any more. In my account it says that my order is still being processed and it can take upto 24 hours, but it is now many days since i bought the product! You're biting off more than you can chew. Even for those with vast amounts of skill it takes some understanding and a few years to really do what you want to achieve it seems in a few days/weeks.
Yes, on the face of it it seems pretty simple but believe me when you are in it head first a hundred and one issues that you never even thought about will come to light. Without the experience its going to be virtually impossible to tackle this as a bespoke solution.
Like for starters how are you going to determine that they are bee keepers posting to your site? How are you going to stop other people posting stuff you don't want to your site. Are you monitoring what's being posted and oking it first in which case you will have to post to a 'holding' database and then once accepted transfer the information to a 'live' database and then you will have to send an email to the poster informing them that their post/product has been accepted - will you do that all manually or do you want that automated.........consider that.........for starters.

You can download the software from the website and then type in your old serial number to activate it... that is, IF the installer database will work with your operating system. I am having problems reinstalling CS4 with a new computer running on Win 8.1. When I called customer support, they told me a whole lot of nothing for 45 minutes and then directed me to a chat session. After about 30 minutes on chat, I was basically told they don't offer support for older products. The website says "no known issues" for installation... but that very well may be because they are unwilling to record the issues when someone calls to report them! Good luck with your install. I wish I had CS5 at this point, as it appears there is still support available for it... but you are on the bubble timewise for that to continue. Other downloads

E-commerce website with problems after problems?? HELP

Basically I have quite a few accounts that have an online store but I have no problems with them and then I have one client that has problems and problems from day one (over a year ago) . I have contacted bc support over 14 times and Sage over 18 times and no one seems to be helping me. There all blaming each other. I now have the client threatening to leave me which is very upsetting when the problem does not lie with me and he is a very big client of mine. So I was just wondering whether you guys have had these issues and whether you could maybe shed some light on the problems im having to help me resolve them.
1) We had a customer today that put through an order. It says it hasnt been paid ao it says amount paid £0 http://www.sealandgov.org/payment.jpg, so no email has been recieved about this etc like you would expect. But... the order did go through and it shows it on Paypal?? So its not a good thing as an invoice hasnt been generated and the gift will never be sent because no one know about it???
2) This is the worst of the worst part. This problem has been outstanding for over a year and still has not been resolved. I have still on going cases with Adobe but no one replies to me. I ve been waiting for over a month and its still open and no one has responded back to me??? Great customer service guys?
Well basically the customer is with Sage pay. They want to have recurring products to be purchased so they have chosen Sage which is fine.
When someone tries to buy an item that is recurring from the website it comes up with an error 4006 andit will put a £1 payment through regardless to whatever the total or product prices should be. On Sages side they say that Adobe is trying to make a defered payment that is why, Adobe tell me that the system does not do defered payments. Then Sage show me details of what they are being sent which shows its defered??? So basically I dont knopw what to do anymore the customer still cant have recurring products on their website otherwise the whole order just goes through for a £1 which is useless and not a recurring payment either.
3) Error 4042 : The VendorTxCode has been used before for another transaction. All VendorTxCodes must be unique.
I have done this myself testing out the payment side and so have a huge amount of other people. Basically once the shopping buy form has been filled out they go over to 3d secure, If they enter the password incorrectly for their card. The second time roung they will not be able to put a card through regardless to whether it is correct or not. The reason for this 3d secure wants a new transaction no because when the password failed they will not allow that transaction no to gopt through anymore. but the system will continue to try and put the same transaction no. through so it will keep failing till the customer clears the cart and starts again?????
4) yes theres plenty more but the above are more important to me and the client. So I would be really greatful if someone out there somewhere can actually help me before I have a nervous breakdown.

Error for recurring with sage is no.2 - .Ticket no. #13689 which I now assume is being ignored. So was #12128 and # 0183641828 and #0183532657. I have had calls with everyone and a million live chats to resolve but sage and you guys both tell me to call each other but nothing ever resolves it. Sage say its you, you say its Sage??

Product Tax rules & Destination State

Hi partners,
What's the best way to set up Tax Options for differently taxed products in Business Catalyst?
We have 3 types of product taxes: GST 5%, HST 12% and tax excempt 0%.
Some products have taxes and some don't.
Depending on website visitor's Destination State - the taxes will change.
A couple of examples:
Product
Canada - British Columbia
Canada - Other Provinces
United States
Candle
HST 12%
GST 5%
0%
Honey
0%
0%
0%
It looks like Taxes and Destination States are merged in Business Catalyst.
Once I add the Tax Options in Business Catalyst, for example:
HST 12%
GST 5%
Tax Excempt 0%
They appear in the Shopping Cart as Destination State.
Is there a way to set a different Tax to each product and
still be able to select a correct Destination State in the shopping cart?

The solution that worked for us:
1) setup a tax for each province - examples Ontario 13%, Alberta 12%, etc. (Unfortunatelly there is no clean way to display GST & PST separately - so you'll need to combine them into a single rate, ie 12%)
2) DON'T apply tax to each product (just leave it as Not Applicable)
3) Enable destination state tax on shopping cart (this will enable the Destination State dropdown in the shopping cart, which will calculate the correct tax)
If you have different products on your website which require more than 1 tax in a specific State/Province (for example, in British Columbia you have one product taxed at GST 5%, and another product taxed at GST+PST 12%), then there IS NO WAY to do this properly in BusinessCatalyst (as of April 2013)
