Product view in DP session

Hello
In the SNP94 I use the characteristic locationproduct in the shuffler. With a right click I can show me the product view (via Shuffler).
I want to use this function in a DP session, but how I define ja characteristi combination locationproduct for the shuffler?

Dear Sven,
As far as I know there is no direct answer for it.
But still you can view the SNP transaction data from the DP planning book.
This may require lot of vaildations and Coding (ABAP/Macro).

PReqRel can not be seen in product view in apo

Hi expert
when we have stock transfer process, we can see purchase requistion for the material in procure plant in product view
in apo. And we can see TrRes. for this material in supplying plant. But we can not see related PReqRel in supplying plant in
apo. I don't know why. Which Material dependent object should be marked if we want to transfer PReqRel for the material?

Data is right. This is the 'classic' case of missing Source of Supply
Open the Preq in rrp2 and see if a source of supply has been assigned. See if there is a valid transport activity in the preq. Look for available Transportation lane and ensure one exists.
If the problem is with incorrect Master Data, correct the data, delete the original preqs manually and rerun heuristics.

Distr. Key GLEI in Prod. order not getting reflected in SCM product view

Hi,
We have the CIF integration model active to transfer production orders from R/3 to SCM-APO.
When we create a production order in R/3 it is getting transferred over to SCM and can be seen in Product view for the material-plant combination.
If we have the distribution key as GLEI on the production order in R/3, and we looked at stock requirements list-MD04 the receipts were split across evenly from the start date to the end date of the production order.
However, in the product view of SCM, the material was shown as available only at the end date of the production order with the full quantity.
Please provide any pointers as to something we might have missed out that made the CIF'ing not work properly...

Hi Renjith
Yes I do mean the Production Process Model. To check setting you need to do the following:
Transaction /sapapo/scc03
Click on choose plan via PPM and enter your material and location and press change.
Double click your operation
Double-click your activity
On the components tab you should see your "Output" material (Type O in I/O Indicator field), next to this should be the consumption indicator field. This is the one that has to be set to 'C'.

Horizons are missing in product view

Hi Frns,
In my product view of a KMAT material, the SNP Horizon & PP/DS Horizon lines are missing !! What could be the reason ??
I have maintained the horizons in the product master (SNP2 & PP/DS tabs)
Still the horizon lines are not visible in product view...

Forecast Consumption in APO- No Data Available in Product View

Hi Experts
I facing some problem in Forecast Consumption in APO. The APO system is connected to a R/3 system. So data relevant for Forecast consumption comes from R/3.
The allocation indicator in the requirement class assigned to the strategy maintained in the product master is set as " no consumption with customer requirement". and the same is transfered to APO.
I have the changed the settings in APO and here are the setting maintained in APO to enable Forecast Consumption.
Product Master Setting:
a) Consumption Mode: 2 ( forward and backward)
b) Consumption Period: ( 30 days both backward and forward)
c) Strategy Group : 20 and assignment mode is set to "Assign customer requirement to planning with final assembly" and category group has sales order - BM
d) The check mode setting in the ATP tab is set to "Assign customer requirement to planning with final assembly"
I have a forecast for today's date and a sales order transferred from R/3 for the same date. But I do not see any data in the Forecast tab in the product view ( /sapapo/rrp3 Tcode)
Please let me know if I am missing any setting in APO. Or the SAles order carries the strategy information from R/3 and influencing the consumption any way.

What is your Forecast & Sales order quantity? If these are same then sales order consumed forecast, so you can not able to see in the rrp3.
Second thing try to increse the forecast quantity than sales order quantity & then check it.

Error while creating planned order in product view

I am getting following error when I try to create planned order for a product in a Location manually in product view using /SAPAPO/RRP5.
Error occurred while creating order
Message no. /SAPAPO/RRP251
I checked the product and resource. Everything looks good.
Block is available in the resource WMP1_2041_001 for characteristics specified in planned order.
Product master and PDS look good.
In the planning log, I see the following error message.
Plan explosion failed for product LBRA1050-661 in location 2041
Message no. /SAPAPO/RRP718
I have not found SAP notes for above error.
Can you pl let me know what this is due to?

Srini,
The message was created as a result of several notes, such as 1582997. There are others.
The implication is that you have an invalid source somewhere in your BOM. Maybe a bad component part, maybe a bad transportation lane, maybe an invalid BOM, or maybe a bad PPM/PDS.
If you can't find the problem using logical troubleshooting steps, have one of your programmers debug. Have him put breakpoints in FM /SAPAPO/RRP_PLORD_CREATE . If you are particularly lucky, you will find a developer that understands German, because all the internal comments in this FM are in German.

Missing Process order components in product View

Dear all,
We have a problem with Process order in APO.
We have created a planned order in APO and converted to process order . All the components of the order are APO relevant and PPM is having all the components . When We create the planned order , RRP3 is showing all the components but when we convert the planned order to process order , then the components are missing in product view . But all the components are available in Process order in ECC . We deleted the process order in APO and again CIF the order from ECC to APO , but still the components are not appearing . We need to have all the components of the order to plan the dependent demands.
We checked the Queues and found no blocked queues .
Can any one suggest me what could be the problem.

Hi Prabhakar,
How are you integrating your production order - like are you sending the planned order to ECC and convert there or you are not transferring the planned order to ECC, but setting the conversion indicator in APO?
If you don't integrate the planned order to ECC, then all the components will be displayed in APOby exploding APO PDS - no active integration model required for components.
If you integrate the planned order to ECC, then in ECC, the BOM explosion happens. - So, active integration model required.

Interactive Heuristic not working in product view

Good morning,
I am trying to run a Heuristic in the Product view (sapapo/rrp3) and I get the following message:
'Stage number algorithm can not be run in the simulation version' but I am trying to run this in our active version, any ideas?

The Heuristic maintained in the product master is the SAP_PP_002 (Standard lot) which is working but if you go into the header menu and we run the heuristic that replicates our nightly run (this is a 2 step planning run with SAP_PP_020 = Stage numbering algorithm and then SAP_PP_002 = standard lots).
It fails at the first step saying that it can not be executed in the simulation version?
Could this refer to the nature of the process rather than a simulation planning version? I mean due to the process that the number staging algorithm works, may not work running in APO and simulating the results (due to the data is only firmed once saved).

Alternative unit of measure in Product View

I'd like to know the mechanism of how to convert the qunatity between base unit and alternative unit in Product View.
Example:
[Assumption]
Material: MAT001, Base Unit=KG, Alternative Unit=PC(1PC = 10KG)
Planned OrderA: MAT001, Quantity=108(KG)
[Process]
1. Open the product view and check the quantity. Quantity of planned orderA is 108KG.
2. Change the unit from base unit(KG) to alternative unit(PC).
3. Check the quantity. Quantity is 11(PC)
On the other hand...
4. Open the Stock/Requirement list(MD04) in ECC and check the quantity. Quantity of planed orderA is 108KG.
5. Change the unit from base unit(KG) to alternative unit(PC).
6. Check the quantity. Quantity is 10.8(PC)

I checked Units of Measure tab but I couldn't find the rounding-related field...
I also checked conversion setting of /CUNI transaction but settings of both ERP and APO were entirely same.

Delete transaction in SNP and data inconsistency in product view

Hi,
After i run the SNP heuristics,system is creating PurRequisition say in DC 1500 sourcing from 1510. But in the product view of 1510 location,there is no PurReqRel is visible.This is happening for some products. And also when i use Delete transaction, /SAPAPO/RLCDEL - Delete Transaction Data , i am getting the messages orders are deleted. But when i look in product view,orders are not deleted. This issue is for all the products. we are using SCM5.0. I have run all the consistency checks like OM17,time series check etc. Any one got the same issue?
Any suggestions?

Product View - Start and End dates

Hi,
I have a material that is externally procured from a vendor to a location. In product view, I have few purchase requisitions. When i double click on it, it takes me to the details of PR. I am trying to understand what start and end dates of the PR are.
For some PRs, the start and end dates are same but for some there are is some times a day or two and even 3 in some cases.
I am wondering what makes the end date differ from start date.
There is a safety day's supply of 2.5 days
We have a transportation lane with transportation duration 23hrs.
Any of these play any role in the end date delay?

What do you mean by the time duration that shows up in the T Lane corresponding to the inforecord?
Here are the times I see in transportation Lane;

Are any of these effect the delay?
My ECC is EST and the timestream is EST. Should I change the product view (also my own data) to EST or UTC??
I have a product that has no delay between the start and end dates. The difference I see between the one that I am having problem (the start and end dates are apart ( I'm calling it bad one) by atleast a day) with and the one that has no delay(I'm calling this good one) between the start and end dates is the "Planned Delivery time.
The good one has 1 day and the bad one has nothing defined.
Does this make any difference?

Sales order appear in Product view but not available in Livecache

Dear Gurus,
We have an issue right now wherein there is a sales order with a certain line item that is consuming stock in ATP tab of product view but in Elements tab of the same material, the Sales Order is not seen. Because of this, some orders cannot be confirmed as the stock is not sufficient
We have tried /SAPAPO/OM17, SDRQCR21, and /SAPAPO/SDORDER_DEL to delete the Sales Order but no Sales Order is being selected.
Kindly let me know if there are other reports or process to be done to delete this inconsistency.

Go to transaction /sapapo/mvm go to the active version and check under ATP whether update fro, atp time series is checked. If not then to do atp check in apo you wud need to delete the active version and recreate it with the required setting.

Order highlighted when product view is called.

Hi All,
In APO , We have one custom report which display all orders. By clicking on order number , it displays its product view. Here , product view contains many orders so it would become little tedious to find that order from long list.
Is there any way that product view is called with order number being highlighted so it become very easy to locate.

We have created custom interactive report which shows orders based on plant and product mentioned on selection screen. Here , if we click on any order within report , its product view is getting called. I am able to call product view but if there are many orders for that product location then it one has to search order number in product view. We need somehow if we click on order number within custom report , product view should be called with order number being highlited in product view ( in blue text ) so that user would know by which order number this product view was called.
I am calling call transaction "/SAPAPO/RRP*" from my custom report , here product view is getting called but I need to search order number ( need to remember order number while clikcing ) from long list in product view.
Does any on know any fucntion module or any way to highlight order number when product view is called.

CIF - PurchOrder to SCM - how will PO be displayed in the Product View

I am just wondering how a purchase order from R/3 (material is purchased from an external vendor) for a specific plant is shown in APOs Product View:
1. New Purchase Order - PchOrd
2. Purchase Order in R/3 with an order confirmation (AB category) - POMemo????
3. Purchase Oder in R/3 with a shipment notification (LA category) - POMemo
Why is the category within APO already a POMemo even so we only have a order confirmation?

Restriction of the selection in the product planning tab.
/SAPAPO/PPT_SELRES:Adjustment of Selection in the Product Planning Table
Also for scheduling planning board you can use customer exit APOCDPS8 to select object according to customer-specific criteria.
