Production Order confirmed finish date

Good morning,
I have a question concerning the confirmed finish date (GLTRI) on the general tab of the production order header. We have an order that a partial confirmation was done on the last operation with no yield. This was the first confirmation of the order. The general tab shows a confirmed start date and a confirmed finish date. First question is why the confirmed finish date if nothing was completed. The confirmation was then canceled and the start confirmed date was removed but the confirmed finish date remained. More testing revealed if a final confirmation was performed on the last operation where it is set to do an automatic goods movement the start and finish confirm date was filled in. When the confirmation was canceled the start and finish confirmed dates were removed. Has anyone come across this before?

dear John,
I played in our TST system and found the same behaviour (which I consider is a standard).
I can't see this "confirmed dates" settings in config.
It seems like as soon the first entry comes in AFRU system sets the 'Start Confirmed' date even if LMNGA is zero
After cancellation system cleans this field date because the order status comes back to REL (the was only the one zero partial confirmation which was cancelled later). but keeps 'Finished Confirmd' field populated. Of course, the second record in AFRU (the cancellation) is created.
To avoid a misunderstanding I suggest advise your users to run CO14 (display prod.order confirmation) or just use COOIS.
good luck!

  • Production Order Basic Finish Dates

Our plant managers expect production order start and finish dates to freeze at release, even when operation confirmations are not made according to schedule or when the component availability situation changes.  Is there a way to freeze the production dates without affecting the sales order schedule line dates--we're in a static assembly world.
    Thanks,
    Amy

    Dear Friend,
As i said, in Production order, under Production order - Setting - Scheduling maintain the number of days in past (says 100 days).
Now in below select the scheduling type as backward scheduling and in Finish date give the date which is in past and now enter (or schedule the order). Because of this system will propose the start date which will also be in past.

  • Production Orders - Scheduled Finished Date Basic Finish Date

In production orders, it is being noticed scheduled finished date lies further than basic finish date, what could be the
reason? what configuration should we need to do in order to make scheduled finish date matches (or) lies before basic finish date

    Eshwer,
Basic dates of production orders can be made to match scheduled date.
Config is at OPU3.  Under the "adjust scheduling" section, select either 1 or 'blank'.

    Hi Gurus,
Please help on this issue to get any user exits .....
As part of Serial number management, we have a certain issues on serial number confirmation, goods receipt from production order and quality inspection with UD.
    Master data:
Finished product material master, Workscheduling view, Serial number profile maintained " ASRN"
    Process flow:
    1) Avalon Specific Serial numbers generation for finished goods through production order release status.
                  (A11206000001)
                                        A  - Avalon
                                        1   - PCB Unit 1
                                        12 - Year 2012
                                        06 - Week
000001 - Running serial number for the week.
    2) Production order confirmation through CO11n transaction.
    3) Production order Goods receipt through MIGO transaction against order.
    4) Quality Inspection with Usage Decision through QA32 transaction.
    5) Goods Issue for Delivery.
    SAP Product Error:
    1) System does not track and control the operation wise confirmed serial numbers during order confirmation.
    2) System does not track and control the finally confirmed serial numbers during order goods receipt.
    3) System does not track and control the last goods receipt qty in Usage Decision.
    4)  For semi finished product, if we maintain serial number profile in workscheduling view, system is not showing goods issue material list in Co11n transaction for the finished goods.
    5) Interfacing the serial number reading scanner with SAP,  is not working without entering material number and serial number manually.
    6) System does not tracking and controlling the last Usage Decision done serial number during Goods issue to Sale order Delivery.

    Santha

    Hi Santha,
This is a bit vast, but I'll try to address at least some of the issues:
1- serial number in operation confirmation is not possible, for the reason that serailization is part of stock management, and as WIP in an order, this is not stock yet. Actually you cannot confirm the manufactured material either, and those 2 go together.
For tracking specificly WIP, there's something called WIP batches; you may look into it to see if you can use it.
2- during GR system will propose those SNs that you have defined for the order at release or creation.
    3- ?
4- GI in CO11N is provided only for BACKFLUSHED material components. Serialized materials CANNOT be backflushed.
5- You can use a barcode reader to read the serial number (instead of keyboard entry) when cursor is on the right field in the respective screen.

  • Creation of Production order for FInished Product through Project

    Hi,
Pls clear me on how we can create a Production Order for finished product.
If we confirm the production orders in PP, cant the same be confirmed in PS.. Should we consider the same activity types in both PS and PP
    Pls clarify

    hi srikanth,
your answer has been very helpful... but could u clarify  why MRP is run in MD51 for WBS element and in MD02 for network..
Pls clarify...  My scenario is like this ...
    A
                            B                                                                                C
                    D  E F G H I                                                                                J K L M N O
I have  a Assemblies B and C which are always delivered in sets.. under assemblies B and C,  we have 6 sub assemblies which has its own components.  I am assigning sub assemblies to differenet WBS elements 01 and 02. so, initially these sub-assemblies are produced to stock. this should happen in PP i.e., through production orders generated in MRP run ( MD51 ). In the next phase i will assign Assemblies B and C to another WBS element.  Again system should generate two Production orders thru MRP for this. Here the 6 sub-assemblies produced earlier will be consumed in confirmation of the production order...
What i am doing is this correct...
and the procurement for the components is happening thru the purchase requisition generated via MRP. the components themselves are not directly assigned to the project..
    Pls advise and clarify?

  • Change Work Center during production order confirmation

    Dear All,
I must to modeling this situation:
I created an production order. In routing I used an work center A.
After I confirmed a half of quantity, the work center A was damaged and I must to change it, with the work center B.
The system allow this change, but when I checked the costing, the situation isn't real. The system counted the costs just for the work center A, and no for work center B.
My question is: it's possible to change the work center, during production order confirmation and the costs updated with new cost?
    Thank you for your answer!
    Regards,
    Marian

once a Order is released, the Process order detaisl for that order is frozen.
however if you want to do it, change the order status to CRTD after reversing the Movements done.
Do READ MAster data , this will copy the new Work center , redo the previously done Moevements.
if the change is long term.
    or
Just manually add the new work center and do the processing. if the change is temporary.

  • Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date

    Folks,
I have a requirement from the business to be able to update the Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date independently from each other.
In other words, update the Basic Finish Date and the Scheduled Finish Date cannot change or update the Scheduled Finish Date and the Basic Finish Date cannot change.
I believe the reason for this is to be able to use the Basic Date to maintain the ATP accurately and keep the Scheduled Date to mark when the order was originally due from the shop floor to be able to measure if orders are being completed on time or late.
I have worked in tnx OPUZ and had some success with other issues with these dates but I can't seem to make them work independently from each other.
Or does anyone have any ideas how to measure proces order performance to the production schedule?
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg

Rajesha, thank you for your reply but it doesn't solve my problem.
    Let me restate my scenario:
I start a process order and both the basic and scheduled finish dates are the same, June 1.
At some point, shop floor tells me they will be late and cannot deliver until June 15.
I need to update a date in the system so the ATP and the MRP planning runs have correct information for promising customers, I will update the Basic Finish date with June 15.
I also need to keep the original June 1 date in order to measure the shop floor performance to the production schedule to measure how early or late the  order was delivered. How can I keep the original finish date or how can I measure if a process order is early or late??
    Thank you for your help,

    Hi Vichy,
    Try this,  COOIS,

    Profile =std profile
    selection -> sys status =CNF
Resrict ther report with Dates with Order header level.
To get activity values use change layout option inside the report.

  • Production Order Confirm/Label Printing problems

I am currently having issues printing out labels for production orders.  Whenever I confirm an order, our printer will print out a different quantity or no label at all.
Here is a brief history of production order confirmations today....
    Entered                Printed
    80                           40 (2 labels of 20)
    20                           No Print
    20                           No Print
    40                           No Print
ALL confirmations were accepted by SAP
SAP WILL often drag during a normal confirmation when correct labels are printed
SAP will NOT drag when a confirmation is entered and no labels are printed
Yesterday I had a confirmation for 10 print out a label for 19.  All of the quantities in SAP are correct, it's only the printer that is creating labels for different quantities.  If all the lot sizes in SAP are correct, what do you think the issue might be?

    Hi,
Based on what i understand of your query, would suggest to work with your technical person to have a look at the print program. The delay you notice or the incorrect data being printed might have to do with the program.
    Regards,
    Vivek

  • Serial nos entry during production order confirmation in CO15 - User Exits

    Hi all,
Is there any user exit existing for a serial nos screen pop-up during production order confirmation.
    Regards,
    Sravan Kumar V

    Hi,
For serial numbers at the time of goods receipt, u have to activate sr. no. mgt for that particular finished product. This can be done by assigning sr. no. profile in the material master record of that material in work scheduling view. once this is done , system will automatically prompt for sr. nos at the time of goods receipt. I am not aware about any user exit.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Using employee in production order confirmation

    Dear All,
I want to use employee number registration in production, order confirmation.
What transaction I must to use?
I checked PA40, but I don't need to implement HR module, and there are many other informations that I dont't use in PP.
I need for a name, surname, employee number, date for beginning, date for ending.
Can somebody tell me an easy way to do this?
    Thank you very much!

Then enter the Personnel area, Employee group and Employee subgroup and save then you will get create personal data screen in that you enter name, surname, employee number, date for beginning, date for ending then SAVE.
If you follow the above procedure you can get the personnel number in confirmation screen.
    Prerequisites:
You need to create in SPRO
    1. Personnel area
    2. Employee group
    3. Employee subgroup

  • Production order confirmations to BW

    Hi,
Does anybody know if it is possible to take production order CONFIRMATIONS (Fertigungsauftrags Daten auf Ebene Rückmeldungen) to BW via standard routines? In LBWE (with 2LIS_04_P_ARBPL, ...) it does not work.
    Would appreciate any idea ...
    Thank's Markus

i don't think we are getting that from standard DS. I will tell you our set up. Workcenter will assigned from the Planed Order.
Comming to your cases... check the DS once again. I will check it out. If you are not getting the values for work center where it is confirmed.
Create a Generic DS. i can guide to generate a DS and for delta handling.
    1. Create a Generic Extractor for Master Data.
    2. Provide Table Name "AFRU".
    3. save the DS. click on Generic Delta Provide the field "ERSDA" and select the Calender Day. it will pick up the Delta records.
Any questions let me know. If you reslove this with creating Generic DS please update the thread.
    All the best.
