Project data cross client

Dear all,
We are implementing SolMan, and have created two client, one for testing and the other for product.
There is a problem,
When I create a project in the test client, it (the project) appears in the product client.
so does the project data cross client?
then how about user testing in the project level?

Dear Friend,
If you want to post some TEST tickets yes you can do so without worrying yes it is client dependent
E.g I have One server with clients - DEV 100 and Qual 300
If I post a ticket in dev 100 client its invisible in Qual 300 client.
So I think i clarifies your doubt you assign pts and close the thread if your doubt is resolved.

Prakhar

  • Transfer master data from a project from one client to another client

    Hi all,
I have a training client and a production client.  The project master data has been created (Tcode CJ01) in training client with multiple levels and WBS.  Is there a way to transfer the master data from the training client to another client so there will be no need to create the same project in another client?
    Thanks.

Refer note for 37899 batch input option.
Though this pertains to older versions with few changes to code it might be suitble to the version you are working on.

  • ALV - To diferrentiate client specific and cross client data

    Hi,
In an ALV grid , i am suppose to show the client specific data  and cross client data. I dont know how to differentiate these 2 type of records. Is there any standard icons available to differentiate cross client and client specific data.
    Refards,
    Jey

    > Its fine, is there any other way  to differenitate these 2 by some icons.
It is up to you to differentiate them using Icons or may be coloring differently...
Based on the Client you can populate the icon/color information.

  • How to create a cross-client table maintenance dialog?

    Hello everybody,
I have a client specific table (mandt is the first key field) that should be maintained cross-client: In the table maintenance dialog, I want to change/create/insert values belonging to clients other than the current logon client. Can I do this with a generated maintenace dialog? If yes, how?
Thank you for your help, regards, Kathrin!

    Hi Kathrin,
I think you can't, you must create your own dialog maintenance program.
They are some program to copy data from client to others .. but never seen any dialog cross client. (or remove the mandt  in your key).

  • Reading MS Project Data from a SAP program

I have a requirement to read a Microsoft Project data into SAP.  In other words, the client wants to do his planning in MS Project and then when he has finished, this plan needs to be read into SAP, that is the tasks, start date and end date.
Has some done this.  Is there a BAPI or anything else that one can use
    Can you help
    Thanks in advance
    Martin

for this you need to use some third party tools like redwood..
in my project also when the MS project  finished the redwood take the files and keep the some directries then the XI will take this file and create the idco in SAP..

  • Create source system without cross client config

The SAP-Help URL given below explains the prerequisites for linking BW to a source system. One of the requirements is that the source client is open for cross client configuration.
Is there a way to create the source system without having cross client rights in each source client?
I understand that the client only has to be open while it is being linked to the BW system but I would prefer to avoid opening the client at all.

    Hi ,
You can perform the following check :-
    1) Check if BI DBMS and Source DBMS are same. If not then you have to Install DB Client for that Source then this error should not come.
2)Check if DBSL(Data Base shared Library is installed in BI for this Source. If not Kindly Install that in BI server.
Kindly perform these operations and lets see what happens.

  • Cross-Client (HR Related)

    Hi
we are using the ECC 6 with teh following patch level
    ABAP / BASIS        11
    PI_BASIS            11
    SAP_HR              14
    SAP_APPL            09
This is Quality system where users are testing the scenario, i have protected the client.
I have complained from the HR users which are listed down:-
    1) whenever he executing the SQ03 to create the group, the dialoge box appear that "Changes to repository or cross-client customizng are not permitted"
    2) PA30,to change anything in the master - data are requring to make customizing request.
    Please provide the solution ASAP.
    Regards

    Hi
Generally to customizing in carried in Quality server, it is used for testing.
As per my knowledge all the customizings are done in develpement and ask the transport no from basis once we get that save that and send it to Quality. there we test the configured steps wth values and then again get the transport no save that and ask basis to transport to Production.
Yup Any data changes has to be first customised in development and follow the same proses as above and move to production. Any editing everything follows the same stps....
    Hope this help u,
    reward if helpful,

  • Cross-client material transfer with conversion.

    Hi....
I have a problem to solve....i am supposed to transfer material data from client 040 to 041 with conversions. I am thinking to do it by ALE. what conversions i am supposed to perform is not yet decided by project manager so as ALE is not very flexibe in certain areas...is it worthy to use ALE and what would be another way to carry out this task... please help me in this  problem...any article  or suggestion will be great help of mine....thanking you,,,,

    Hi!
? Strange. At least not easy. Do you speak about a development system? Maybe you just make a client copy and some hard database changes. Won't be OK, but if you just need some data for a performance test, this could do.
Test for a migration? Try to stay as close to the final way as possible.
You might save the outbound IDOC into a file, make some search and replace (in easy cases even in an editor) and upload the file for inbound IDOC. Also a report for file conversion can be used.
User-exits for IDOC segment changes might be possible, but doesn't look like a good idea (one-time special rules, but coding for all the time and everywhere).
Direct table copy is out of scope (e.g. because of internal number ranges).
LSMW might be an option, too. As input file you could again use outbound IDOC saved as file (with conversions?). Then inbound conversion would be in a transparent and easy to maintain way.
Hope you got some new ideas,
    regards,
    Christian

  • SCM APO can we copy the data from client 001 to client 002???

    Hi Guru's
SCM APO can we copy the data from client 001 to client 002???
If it is possibulity please let me know?
    Regards,
    Sree

    Yes you can do.
    Tcode SCCL.
    Options :
When copying clients, you can select what you want to transfer from the source client to the target client:
User masters: You select this option, for example, if you want to give all users of an existing client the same authorizations in the target client.
Client-specific Customizing: You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a new client in an existing system.
    Client-specific Customizing and master/transaction data:
You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a test client that is identical to the production client (in the same system).
Client-specific and cross-client Customizing: You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a quality assurance system based on the production client of another system.
Client-specific and cross-client Customizing and master/transaction data: You select this option, for example, if you want to set up a test client based on the production client of another system.

  • Repository or Cross-client Customization

    Hi Experts,
I am planning to creating a Generic DataSource in R/3 (SPO2) to fetch data to BW. Just wanted to know whether it is a Repository changes or Cross-Client changes? How to differentiate between a repository or Cross-Client changes?
    Thanks in advance.

    HI Pankaj,
Thanks. That's exactly what i was looking for. An extension to the original question - I create the DataSources in Client A, so i'll not be visible to me if i logged in from Client B?
    Thanks.

But when i opened 620 and 920. The added mail step in visible in all clients.
My doubt is Are worklows Cross-clients??

  • Cross-client transports in ChRM.

    Dear SolMan Gurus!
How to handle cross-clients transport request in change request management. Is it in the way that no matter how do I set may landscapen = transport routes, than all cross-client transports go to the cliet 000? Do I need any additional setting in SolMan Change Req. Man.?
    Thank you for you reply.
    Best regards,
    Petr Syka

    Hi Suker,
There are two ways to transport your Workbench/ Customizing request from one client to the other, The detail are as below:
    1.  SCC1: Create a transport request for the task done. Move to the target client and enter the tcode: scc1. Specify the transport request and upload it. The data will be transfered.
    2. BC Sets: Create BC Set for the Cutomization done and upload it to the target system.
    Award points if useful.

    Dev & Prod.
Actualy Mapping with  ECC Dev to  BI Dev Sys , But, Unfortunately my management asking please collect the data from ECC QTY to BI Dev.
We have only data's avilable ECC Qty, there is no data in ECC Dev.
My Question is how to collect the data in different Client (or) Cross Client.
*how to connect cross client then how to extract the data from ECC Qty to BI Dev System.
Can you please provide me solution ASAP...
    Thanks in Adance Guru's.
    Regards,
    Kumar

    Hi,
You have to map your ECC QUA to BI Dev system.
Communication Setting between BW and R/3
Step 1: Define Logical System in R/3
Step 2: Assigning Logical System to Client
Step 3: Setting Up an RFC Destination
    Step 4: Distributing Data Model
Message Types Involved in Process of Data Loading
    Step 5: Generating Partner Profile
Step 6: Maintaining Message types in T-Code WE20
Cross check the system mappings in RSLOGSYSMAP table in both systems.
You can search some step by step docs in SDN.......

    Suman
