Purchase order in Qual.Inspection

Hi,
I wounder if there is a simple way to determine if a specific purchaserorder is in Quality inspection.
I know I can see it in MSEG but it's toooooo big.
Any pointers ?

Martin,
In table QAMB, u can find the Inspection with the Material Document Number(<b>mblnr</b>).. With the help of this, u can find the Purchase Order Number(<b>ebeln</b>) in <b>mseg</b>.
I think, this is what u r looking for!!!!
Thank

  • Wrong purchase order item in inspection lot record

we have a purhase order in which item no. 1 & 2 have the same material code .
GR  has been done against item no. 2 in MB01.  Also the usage decision has been done
in QA11 for the inspection lot no. generated. Now when we see  the purchase order data in
inspection lot in qa13 the value in  purchase order item no. is  1,whereas the GR has been
    done against item no. 2.
Please tell why the inspecton lot is picking wrong reference of Purchase order item.

Thanks Jürgen L.     for your reply.

  • Source inspection - STOP Purchase Order GR

    Hi,
We have a requirement in quality management in procurement process:
Requirement:  System should perform inspection before goods receipt is made to the purchase order. Pre-receipt inspection should have three MIC to be inspected. When all the inspection characteristics are OK then system should receive the material to unrestricted. If MIC are not ok system should not let doing GR of purchase order.
Possible solution: I tried leveraging source inspection functionality to meet above requirement. I created QIR and selected Source inspection = 0101 and check box for Source insp u2013 no GR active.
Material master is assigned with inspection type 0101 and selected control key with GR for rejection = Goods receipt not allowed, GR control/Batch = u2018Do not create new ILu2019
When purchase order is created system is letting GR for the purchase order without error. I used QI07 and created an inspection lot for the purchasing document, however before I do UD for the inspection lot system is letting to do GR for purchase order  Or before I create IL for the purchasing document system is allowing to do GR for the purchase order. Which I believe is incorrect.
Is there a way I can stop doing GR of purchase order if source inspection UD is not Ok. If source inspection UD is rejected then system should not let doing GR of purchase order.
    Please advice...
    Thanks

  • Inspection before GR against purchase order

    Dear friends,
    We have the following scenario.
Purchase order item of 100 Tons.
The material will be received in a truck of 20 T.  So there will be 5 trucks coming for the same purchase order.
Now we want to check the truck before it enters into our premises (before GR). If the material is ok, I will do GR and if not ok, will send the material back. I want to record these quality results of outside testing into the system.
I know by source inspection, I can record the results for a Purchase order before I receive (GR) the material. But in this case I require to record the results 5 times or more against the same purchase order item.
Is it possible and how to configure this scenario?
    TIA

Yes sorce inspection it is possible to configure this scenario but when PO of 100 will be created
immediatly lot in QA07 you will have to create.
here problem is that system will not consider it as 5 lots.so whatever rejection you have can not be done in source inspection,as it is not stock relevent(partial posting not possible)
so don't think about source inspection.
Best way as per my knowledge you can create a manual lot of 89 or 01 inspection type.
then carry out result recoding & defect recording. This lot you can only create when rejection is there.
If no rejection found you can use GR process.
I hope this will add some value

    Hi Experts,
I am facing problem while doing UD for Goods Receipt Inspection against Purchase Order.
    The Problem is,
"Selected set code does not exist, or data entered is incomplete
    Message no. QV121
    Diagnosis
Code  in code group * (selected set 1000 in plant ) does not exist.
    Procedure
Enter a valid combination or complete combination, or make sure that the combination is available in the selected set."
And the Result Recording for Inspection lot is completed.
    kindly suggest..
    Thanks in Advance,

    Hi Naveen,
    1.     Go to QCC0 > Quality inspection  >  Inspection lot creation  > Maintain Inspection Types > Select 01 (or the type which you are using) and double click on it.
    2.     Check what code is maintained in UD Selected Set
    3.     Create the same code in QS51 for your plant.

  • Inspection lot creation during GR with respect to Purchase Order

    Dear Experts,
    Here is my Question
Inspection lot creation during GR with respect to Purchase Order
Inspection type 01 set in the material master
inspection lot will be created during GR for a Purchase order
from my understanding for every GR a inspection lot will be created
    No batch Management
but the requirement is irrespective to GR qty and number of times of GR
we need inspection only one inspection lot
    For Instance
There is a PO for 1000 kg no batch management
now i do GR for 100 kg for 10 times with different dates
now i need to have only one inspection lot
not 10 inspection lot for each 100 kg
can any one suggest a solution, please advise my understanding is correct
    Many thanks
    Raj

    Dear Raju,
There is a solution for that .The setting can be done two ways, either in the material master or in the configuration
    1) Material Master
MM02> QM View> Inspection Setup> 01> Control Insplot> 'X' An inspection lot for each purchase order item/order item 0r  An inspection lot for each material document and material
    a) 'X' An inspection lot for each purchase order item/order item
    This Means
This setting is limited for use with the inspection lot origins 01 and 04.
An inspection lot is only created during the first goods receipt for each PO item or production order.
    b) '1' An inspection lot for each material document and material
If you set this indicator, the system creates only one inspection lot for a material document (in a goods receipt transaction) for each material. This setting is useful, if several purchase orders or partial deliveries are processed for the same material in a goods receipt transaction.
    2) You can do this default in the config
SPRO > Quality Management >  Quality Inspection > Inspection lot creation >  Define Default values for inspection type > 01> Control Insp lot
    Hope this helps

  • GR Purchase Order to Blocked Stock / Inspection Type 01

    Hi all,
I want to receive 100 KG of Material X from a purchase order:  95 KG to Quality Inspection Area and 5 KG to Blocked (Stock Category S)
For the 5 KG to be received to the Blocked Stock, I used movement type 103, the material was received to "GR Blcoked Stock".
Then I used movement type 105 to release it. I chose Stock Type "Blocked".
After posting, the material was received to "Quality Inspection Area" and NOT to Blocked Stock. I think the reason was the Inspection Type 01 was activated, so the material was received by default to Quality Inspection Area.
How can I receive a material directly to "Blocked Stock"?
    Regards,
    Kifah Yacoub

thank you, but it seems you misunderstood my question.
What i want is: How to receive from purchase order to Blocked Stock (Stock Category S).
I tried movement type 103, but it's not exactly what i want.
    Thank you

  • One inspection lot for multiple materials of purchase order line items

    Hi All,
My client requirement is one inspection lot for multiple materials of purchase order line items.
    Please share your thoughts.
Thanks in advance for early reply.
    Regards,

    I totally agree with Amol.
I don't think I would touch that development nor would I ever tell a client it could reliably be done through development.
Knowing what I know about the table structures, I don't think you could create any development for this that could use a significant amount of the existing tables and functionality.  I think you'd have to create all your own Z tables and basically rebuild the functionality.  Tying it back in with SAP data will be difficult.
You're even looking at all custom screens for your results recording and UD as well.  And if you have follow-on functions like batch classification requirements, batch determination, COA publication, results copy functions, use of DMR and sampling procedures, physical samples, quality notifications, etc. etc.. you could be looking a whole lot of development.

  • Purchase order field missed in inspection lot 17

    Hi,
We create a purchase order and then inbound delivery in ECC6.  inbound delivery is then distributed in SCM/EWM and good receipt is performed in EWM, an inspection document is created in EWM and an external number (17) is created in ECC6.
The issue is that the purchase number field is no more visible in the inspection document 17 when we display the inspection lot 17
(we are using this field in a workflow and now this action is failing).
Is there a way to bring that missing field
Any help on this will be appreciated
    Thanks a lot

  • Source inspection before 365 days of delivery date of purchase order

    Hi Experts,
Business wants to create source inspection lot well in advance before 365 days of delivery date of purchase order. this lot is required to record results.
In SAP, transaction code QA51 allows only two digit characters for 'number of days for opening period' so system is not creating inspection lot for more than 99 days delivery date from current date.
    Please advise.

Hi Patel, I really got interested on this particular issue because we have been using source inspection in our company for a while. After some investigation on ABAP code of report I will share with you my fact findings:
    1) System calculates the start date of source inspection (delivery date from PO - Leadtime from q-info record). For example, in my test case it was 14.08.2015 - 0 days. So field g_datum below will be 14.08.2015:
    2) System then checks if you are running the report in background (highlighted in yellow above). If so then it will check if the start date of inspection (g_datum) falls on opening horizon (g_datum_eroff). The opening horizon is calculated as per formula below (system login date + opening period). As an example: 14.08.2014 + 30 days = 13.09.2014.
Default opening period (p_eroff) is 30 days:
    3) So all-in-all, when you are running QI07 online you´ll get a yellow traffic light on the long leadtime PO but you will be able to process it (on-line). However if you run the report in background (job scheduling) system will only create inspection lot to the relevant POs if the PO's delivery date falls on the 30 days window based upon the current date.

  • Purchase order GR need to post to Quality inspection stock

    Hi all,
How to post stock to Quality inspection directly for a PO. Even though in GR i make sure that its posting in Quality inspection, by default it is going to Urestricted stock. How to fix this by posting stock to Quality inspection directly?
    Thanks,
    Avani.

    Hi Avani,
    Pre-requesite:-
QM should be live at plant level.
Data toeb maintained in QM view.
You need to activate inspection type 01 (For GR against Purchase Order) and 04 (For GR from Production, against Process Order) in QM view of Material Master. Doing this all the GR quantity will be posted in Quality stock automatically.
If QM is not live, you need to activate the "Post to insp. Stock" inidicator in Materail master QM view.

  • Incoming Inspection at purchase order type level

    Hello guys,
Would anyone know if we can somehow activate inspection for goods receipt for one type of purchase order and not another. Part A when GR'd against PO type ZA should not create an inspection lot. However if the same part is GR'd against PO type ZL an inspection lot is to be created.
I don't think this can be done using standard system but need confirmation please and also any tips/ advise if somehow this could be done using an enhancement.
    Thank you,
    N.

    Hello Nav,
Create two inspection types Say ZSUB and Z01.
ZSUB: Inspection of Sub-contracting Materials. (Copy of 01 inspection type)
Z01: Inspection of Goods receipt XXXXXXXX. Set default values as shown below, Purpose is to have inspection lots without any Specification requirement and results will not be recorded.
Assign both Inspection types in an inspection setup.
Implement User exit QAAT0001 - Inspection type determination different from variant 01.
Select inspection type based on Document types ZA and ZL.
Use Automatic UD and Automatic stock posting for inspection lots with Z01 inspection type.
Refer below document, Page number 17.

  • Stock Type "Quality Inspection" on the Purchase Order

We would like to use the quality inspection stock type in the purchase order; so when are users go to receive the materials it would automatically post them to quality inspection stock.  We are trying to do this without using alot of the functionality in QM.  My question is, in transaction MIGO it normally uses movement type 101.  When we try to receive the materials we get this message:
"Account determination for entry 0010 BSX ____ ___ 7920 not possible"
My questions is, are we using the correct process/movement type.  We have been researching this but have not found much detail on the movement type 101 for this process.
We realize we can use movement types 321 and 322 in MB1B to move the product.
    Any suggestions would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi,
The message you are getting is in no way related to the Quality inspection stock. You can check this by changing the Quality Inspection stock type. The message is related to valuation class entered in the mateiral master. Pl. check your system configuration for valuation class indicated (7920) in transaction OBYC (for GBB - BSX). This setting automatically determines the G/L account to which the FI entry should be posted at the time of posting GRN.
If you maintain correct G/L account entry for valuation class 7920 in transaction OBYC for GBB - BSX, your message will disappear & you will be able to post GRN.
