QM process in Raw material procurement

Dear friends
I wanted to know what is the QM role in procurement of Raw Material. I know that at the time of GRN, we can post the GRN to Quality stock( blocked stock). But after that what would be the process from a QM perspective. Do we need to transfer the QM stock to unrestricted stock after inspection? If yes, then what movement type will be used.
A small process flow would be very useful, starting from the GRN.
Pointss will be rewarded for replies.
Thanks in advance
Amit

Hi
Buyser creates PO>GRN is made in factory>Before that MM should maintain QM view & inspection type 01 should be active.>after GR made(101 Mvt) material comes to QI stock-->Quality perpole will take usage decison of accept or reject immediatly after lot create in QA32
If they accept the material-->321 mvt
if they reject the material-->122 mvt
if they put in block stock-->350 mvt.
when Quality post material to unresticted from there it is issued to stores...
I hopw i have made you understand.

  • Regarding Raw Material Procurement Cockpit

    Hello everybody.
I am test the new business function named raw material procurement cockpit(RMP Cockpit).
I just checked the following SAP information.
Raw Material Procurement Cockpit - Consumer Products for Food and Beverage Industry (PP-PI-CFB) - SAP Library
But I cannot find the restrictive condition information for RMP cockpit.
For example, if use the subcontracting function for Japan-specific, the cost calculation cannot be used.
Would you like to tell me the restrictive condition for RMP cockpit?
or show me the way to find the information about RMP cockpit restrictive condition.
    Thanks in advance.

In SFW5, click on impact analyzer and then details for the business function.
Check the transaction codes that are affected.

  • Raw material procurement based on the LTP Plan

    Dear Friends,
How can I create a procurement proposals based on the LTP Plan. For example for material A, I am doing the LTP planning for entire Year. As per the LTP plan I got the Raw material requirements. I don't want to make the total plan as active. That means I don't want to create PIRs for my finished material A for the entire year. But  as per the LTP plan of finished material A... I want to create a procurement proposals for the raw materials for the entire month through schedule lines... How can we do it?
If any further clarification is required... please let me know.
    Regards.

    Hi,
Based on the forecast for the material A, the simulative planned orders will generated for its raw material duirng the LTP run.
If you want to convert hte planned proposal into PR then you can run MD43 for the particular Raw material.
Before running MD43, in MS04 - set firming date and then run MD43, planned orders will get converted to PR (firmed). Then run LTP again using MS02 (then the planned orders get deleted)
Please check and come back if you need any clarification
    Thanks,
    JK

  • How to attach returnable packaging material to raw material or semi-finished material or finished material?

    Hello experts,
i want to send raw material to a subcontractor for external process. my raw material is Steel Rods and i am sending it for some micro blasting process or some finishing process.
i want to send the plastic crates with the rods. (capacity of 1 plastic crate is of maximum 6 rods).
my problem is, whenever i send the rods, the system should ask to send the plastic crates according to the qty of rods.(for 1 to 6 rods = 1 plastic crate).
if crates are not present in stock then system should not allow to send the raw material or rods to suppliers.
the plastic crates are my assets. it should be return back the same way as per the return qty of rods. and i should get the report like, how many plastic crates are laying with how many suppliers, when i had sent the plastic crates to suppliers, with what type of material, and how much cost of plastic crates is laying with my suppliers etc.
is it possible in SAP? if yes then please let me know what type of settings i have to do in SAP?
i am eagerly waiting for your reply...!.

T- code -cs01, enter Raw amterial, Plant , BOM usage and enter
enter your component material as Plastic carates qty 1 ea.
Click on Item Icon and enter as per below in the screen - Base qunatity - 6 ea
Double click on item 0010 on Display Material BOM : General Item overview page
On Basic Data tab- Quantity data - quantity -1 ea and remove tick mark from Box- Fixed quantity and save it.
Create PO , your material component will show on the screen- Material data tab.

  • Raw material shortage

    Hi
    Experts
I am having problem in Production order. Raw material shortage
We create Production order manually no MRP.
    Process is
(Raw material in KG converted to EA)
Cutting Order(EA), Forging Order(EA), Heat treatment order(EA), Machining order (Finish) (EA)all codes are different.
We have one raw material which is used in 5 different Products
Is there any code to find where it is used
    Thanks & Regards
    Pert

    Dear Mr Kumar
    Both the Orders are diff
    1) Cutting order material is in Kg cut in to pieces say 100 kg rod conveted to 500 pieces
then we create Production order for Forging this 500 pieces
    2) but our sap MMBE system shows Forging semifinish stock is of 900 pieces (physsically not present)
    3) Our store people say they issued material for the new order ie current which we have shortage of raw material.
    4) My issue is solved when i get back this Forging semifinish stock of 900 pieces revert to store
but my problem is i am not able to trace out the production order of which this 900 pieces are?
if i revert both forging and cutting order then automatically sap system shows the raw material
    So how to do it?
    Thanks & Regards

  • Raw Material Consumption to Process Orders

    Hi Friends,
I need help with changing the way how we consume raw materials in our manufacturing organization.
    Current Process:
    A.     Receive product A in Warehouse, movement type 101. Debit Inventory Account, and Credit GR/IR.
    B.     Move product A to a storage location (out of Warehouseu2019s custody). Movement type 311. No impact to P&L, as no accounting entries.
    C.     Consume product A in a u2018Process Orderu2019 from that storage location 311. Debit Consumption Account, and Credit Inventory Account.
Product A is listed in Bill of Materials and has to be issued to process orders for final consumption u2013 to give production variance as we are on standard costing system.
    Desired Process:
We want to have stronger controls in our organization. We want to hit P&L in step B, as soon as Warehouse issues items out. This can be done using movement type 201 GI for Cost Center.
But we also desire to see final consumption happening in process orders, as all our BOMs and standard costs account for the consumption of product A.
Please advice how do we issue items to a process order that have already been issued to a Cost Center. What is it that I am missing?
    Thanks,
    Meet A

I believe we will stick with our current process. See Ajay's reply on the link below:
Raw Material Consumption to Process Orders

  • Process to split production order based on the raw material batches

Hi All, below is a business situation which needs some some SAP process to help overcoming this issue.
We are working on process industry, where the core fabric (SFG) are produced from different machines and which are used as raw material in the subsequent process (Coating).  Business wants SAP to generate individual planned orders for Coating when it uses this materials
    e.g
    Current situation.
SFG1  is the component of SFG2
SFG2 is  the component of FG.
When the demand for FG is 100, you get 2 planned orders  SFG1- 100 yd and  SFG2- 100 yds
During production, the Planned order for SFG1 is split for 2 production order  each producing 50 yds each.
    Now I have SFG1 - 50 yds ( Batch A001), and SFG1- 50 yds ( Batch A002).
Now Business wants  SAP to automatically propose 2 order for SFG2, However based on MRP it will  only show 1 planned order of 100 yds required for SFG2 since the demand of FG is 100.
We want to split the planned orders of the higher level to look at lower level stock.
    Any ideas or thought process.
    Regards
    Sarvan

    Sarvan,
You can have MRP propose two lots of SFG2 based upon lot sizing.  For instance, if you always will want SFG2 to have orders of 50 each, then one way to achieve this would be to set the 'maximum lot size' to 50.  MRP1 Tab of the material master.
There are other lotsizing methodologies that may be better suited to your business requirements as well.

  • Availability check of raw material during sale order processing

    Dear experts,
When i am entering the finished good in sale order processing, system should check the raw material availabilty. Is it possible in STD sap
    Regards,
    murali.R

thanks to you all for your reply,
My customer is bright bar manufacturer,They just buy the steel bar & process it & sell it to the customer. So there is only one RAW MATERIAL.
Their all the activities are mainly based on raw material. So customer wants.....when we enter the finished good system should check the RM stock, based on RM STOCK,sytem should do the availability check...& confirm the delivery date
I have mapped customer requirement, after modifying item category & assignment......
Sales BOM explosion & delivery group is maintained for header material.availability check is on at component level & header level. So now system consider the raw material stock & it conform the dates when  i do availability check combinely.
I would like to know how it will affet the MRP incase of alternative BOM....FURTHER PROCESSING
Is it the right practise.....Please reply...............

  • Batch Traceability for Sugar as raw material during the production process

    Dear Colleague ,
I need your support for a traceability issue in a customer on beverage sector
    See the case below:
Batch Traceability for Sugar as raw material during the production process
In AMSB the batch traceability in some production processes is very difficult, especially in case of sugar where tanks wherein more than one batches of the same material can be mixed. For example, in a single day almost 17-20 batches of the same material can be mixed and as the result is a composition of water and sugar the normal FIFO rule strategy cannot be applied during the component consumption.
The raw material (sugar) is received in tank S5 at different points of time, and its content is transferred to tank B1 for storage purposes as well as for mix the sugar with other material such as water.
At a specific moment the S5 tank contains only a single batch, while the tank B1 contains more than one batch. Tank B1 is used in order to supply the production line and the corresponding material consumption is triggered in backflush as soon as the production activity is declared (production confirmation). Along with the material consumption the batch determination takes place and a complex algorithm is applied: at a very high level, the single batch is consumed depending on its percentage inside the mix of composition and in case the this
percentage is under a threshold level the current batch should be full used in order to avoid that it will exist for ever.
Moreover, the good movement reversal (reversal of material consumption) and its correction lead to a complete new calculation of all the batches consumed after the original movement date/time. This means that the algorithm for batch determination should be reapplied for all the consumptions subsequent to the original movement.
On the other hand it’s not possible to identify the mix of batches at the exit point of silos B1 because the total consumption of the material in the tank will never happen. As long as the tank level decreases it will be filled up from the tank used for receiving of sugar (S5).
As requirement AMSB needs to post the material consumption starting from EWM, this means that EWM should be the master system in this case and the correspondingmovements have to be  transferred to ECC afterwards. This mainly because EWM  should guarantee the business continuity in case the ERP system is not available.
AMSB asked if the scenario depicted has been implemented in some customer, in EWM system or in any other SAP solution.

    Hi ,
At the time of consumption you can put ' * ' aestrix sign in the batch field.
You will get list of batches of that material.select ur batch and consume the quantity.

    Piyush

  • List of process order for particular raw material

    Dear PP Gurus,
Suppose we have one raw material said - X and this is used to create finished product A, B, C an D.
Now I would like to know, In particular period how many process order is created for raw material X?
Ex. for one month only 2 process order usind raw material X are created. 1(finished product - A and 2 (finished product- B)
I tried COOISPI but not getting success.
Through MB51 I can get report of process order against which material is issued. (261 is done)
But my basic req. is to know the process order created.
I am from MM side so no much more idea in PP area.As working for SAP support we have to look little bit in PP ara.
    Thanks all
    Rajan

    Hi Rajan,
You can use COOISPI and select Documented Goods Movement and give the Basic Start date range as you want and execute.
You can use filters in Movement types and get your desired result. 261 is for Goods issue of the components and 101 is for Goods Receipt of the header material.
    Hope it clears your doubts.
    Regards
    Suri

  • Reg. Process cost and raw material cost added

    Dear Friends
    Please consider our below scenario
PO is created and stock is maintained in unrestricted (Raw material)
and then Production order is created for Cut pcs and Raw material is issued to production order through 261 mvt type
next Cut pcs is received against the production order through 101 Mvt type. Now operation cost is not added with the Raw material cost, only the Raw material cost is represents in MIGO-> FOOTER  - QUANTITY->Quantity in LC field.  What to do to calculate the process cost too.
When we receive the cut pcs what we attached as component to the cutpcs's cost is calculated, the charge for Cutting is not calculated. we want both cutpcs charge(10.00 per pc)+component cost(raw mat. 180.00 per 1 kg)
    Cut pcs    10 pcs * 10 Rs   = 100 Rs
    Raw mat  10 kg * 180  Rs = 1800 Rs
the total cost is 1900 Rs should come in that field
    Thanks

    Please give solution
