Qualification (Infotype 24) - Overlapping of Qualifications

Hello
Is there a possibility, to enter the same qualification twice at the same time?
For example:
Qualification "A" with Proficiency "Approved Level low" from 01.12.2010 to 31.12.2012
Qualification "A" with Proficiency "Request for Approval Level high" from 14.12.2010 to 31.12.2014
When the second entry changes from "Request" to "Approved" the dates will be changed.
For example:
Qual with "Approved Level low" from 01.12.2010 to 20.12.2010
Qual with "Approved Level high" from 21.12.2010 to 31.12.2014
So my problem is, how can I map the time while one qualification should be on "Request" and the other one should still be "Approved"?
Thx for all answers in advance
Christian

  • Urgent: Qualifications Infotype (IT0024)

    Dear All,
I'm currently in a project to migrate HR configurations from 1 company's server to another company's.
However, I'm facing with a problem where company A is currently using the PA version of the Qualifications Infotype (IT0024) whereas in Company B has the PLOGI QUALI flag activated in table T77S0 which means that when users access this screen, they will see the PD screen for Qualifications infotype.
Is there a way to have both screens to be displayed where the right screen appears to the right users? Perhaps with the use of User Group Parameters or Screen Modifications?

    Hi
It seems not possible for company A users to retain their old screens after integration into company B.
Company A will have to leverage on company B screens as the PLOGI QUALI switch is an enterprise wide setting.
You may also look at this thread for more information and background.
Re: Integration between PD/Qualification and PA IT0024
Re: [Qualif.] Difference between object type 'Q' and infotype 0024
    Thanks.

  • Qualifications and Infotype 0024

I would like to understand the relationship between Qualifications Profiles and Infotype 0024
When we create Qualifications Profiles on the PD side, on the Person Object, for example, does it automatically get transferred to IT0024 or do we have to run a Program or a Report to populate IT0024.
Similarly, if we create IT0024 with Qualification data, do we have to also maintain Profile on the PD side with similar data or does it trnasfer data automatically or do we have to run a Report or a Program.
<b>Pl note that PA/PD/OM integration is all ACTIVE</b>

    Hi My Friend
Please refer to the SAP note  384001 -  FAQ: Qualifications and Requirements
    1.  How do you activate integration between Personnel Administration and
         Personnel Planning for qualifications?
Customizing: table T77S0, parameter PLOGI QUALI
                                                                       Page 2
    2.  How does active integration affect infotype 0024 in a personnel
         action?
When integration is active, infotypes 0024 or 0025 must always come at
the end of a personnel action.
    3.  What impact does active integration have for the Ad Hoc Query?
When integration is active, the data is no longer physically stored in
infotype 0024 (table PA0024), but in infotype 1001 (table HRP1001
subtype A032).This explains too, why you can no longer directly access
the infotype fields of IT0024 in the query. Any attempt to access these
    always fails.
    4.  Why is the qualifications catalog not alphabetically sorted in F4
         possible entries help?
Generally speaking, sorting in the qualifications catalog (transaction
OOQA or PPQD) is not the same as sorting in the possible entries feature
(F4 help). The reason for this is the different method used for the
sorting. While sorting in transactions OOQA and PPQD is done
alphabetically, the possible entries feature only sorts the first level
(qualification groups) alphabetically. All other levels are sorted by
    object ID.
From release 4.6C you can sort qualifications manually in the
qualifications catalog (transaction OOQA).From a technical point of
view, this information is stored in the database field P1001-PRIOX.This
sorting also applies to the possible entries help. Thus, the
qualifications catalog has the same sorting throughout.
If you have a pre-4.6C release, you can only achieve the same sorting if
you adjust the field P1001-PRIOX accordingly using transaction PP01 or
PP02. Before you use transactions PP01 or PP02, you should check whether
maintenance is allowed in table T777I.
    5.  How are notes for qualifications stored in the qualifications
         profile?
The notes are stored period-independent with the key 'person has
    qualification' (for example, P 0003212 A032 Q 50001231).The advantage of
this is that you only have one note attached to a qualification, whose
    history you can monitor.
    Example (Qualifications profile):
    Qualification Proficiency Period Note
       English 1 01.01.1980 - 30.06.1998 X
       English 2 01.07.1998 - 31.12.9999 X
The same note is displayed regardless of whether you look at the note
for the first or second entry.
    6.  Can you create customer-specific Infosets (Ad Hoc Query) for the
unrestricted search for persons and applicants?
Yes, you can create customer-specific InfoSets. These customer-specific
InfoSets must be defined in the 'global work area' in transaction SQ02.
Customer-specific InfoSets for Personnel Development must not be
defined in the standard work area, they must always be in the global
    area.
    7.  How does the inheritance logic work for the specification
         descriptions for qualifications?
If you want to store standard values for the specification descriptions,
you can do this in the IMG (Personnel Development) under 'Edit scales'.
So that these standard values are inherited to the qualifications, in
the qualification catalog, the 'Default' flag must be set both in the
qualification group and in the qualification in the tab.
If the flag in the qualification group is not set, the stardard values
are not inherited t othe qualification below.
If the flag is not set in the individual qualification, the standard
values are only not inherited to this qualification. Then you can enter
a specification description for this qualification.
Hope it can give you answer

  • How to get Essential and additional qualifications ,From which table

    Hi all,
In one of my requirement, the report should show the Qualifications and Essential qualifications columns in the output.
    Requirement is :
    1. I have brought qualifications of Applicant from PB0024 table.
    2. I need to compare these with the Qualifications maintained in Job for the pernr.
    3. There are two types of Qualifications namely essential Qualifications and additional Qualifications.
    4.
How do we get the Qualifications maintained for a job/Position?
How can we distinguish between Qualifications and essential Qualifications maintained for a job at the database table level ?
    Please reply ASAP.
    Regards,
    Rama.P

    Hi Dilek Ersoz Adak,
How can we get the jobs assigned to a position ,from which table ?
Actually i am doing a custom recruitment report which displayes several fields along with the qualificaions and additional qualifications.
For the two fileds: in the spec it is given as:
    14.     Qualification (This is maintained in HRPE_PROFQ_TBJID-infotype 0024 of the employee. Thus, check Position maintained for the employee in P4002_OBJID, against this position check for Essential Qualification, related object type u2018Qu2019 HRPE_PROFQ_ESSENTIAL, compare this with the qualifications maintained for the employee in Infotype 0024, and display wherever these maintained.)
    15.     Additional Qualification (This is maintained in HRPE_PROFQ_TBJID-infotype 0024 of the employee. Thus, check Position maintained for the employee in P4002_OBJID, against this position check for Essential Qualification, related object type u2018Qu2019, compare this with the qualifications maintained for the employee in Infotype 0024, and display all qualifications for which HRPE_PROFQ_ESSENTIAL is not maintained.)
    16.     Proficiency (HRPE_PROFQ_PROFC_TEXT)
    in clear :
    1.       Positions (Object Type S) are linked to Job through relationship A 007
    2.       In APDISCOM scenario, Qualifications (Object Type Q) are attached to Object u2018Jobu2019 (Object Type C) through Transaction Code PPPM
    3.       Now, for a Job there can two types of qualifications maintained Essential Qualifications (ii) Additional Qualifications
    4.       For essential qualifications: Against a Qualification we can maintain u201Cessential check boxu201D HRPE_PROFQ
    5.       For additional qualifications: Those qualifications for which HRPE_PROFQ is not maintained
    6.       Now, for an applicant, Qualifications are maintained in Infotype 0024, wherein the necessary qualifications would be selected.
    7.       In the report for field of u201Cessential qualificationu201D, check for qualifications maintained in Infotype 0024 and compare it with qualifications maintained in Job (through Position assigned to the applicant in P4002_OBJID)
    8.       Check for essential qualification HRPE_PROFQ maintained in Job and check whether the same Q is maintained in Infotype 0024 for the applicant, if yes, then generated Text of the Q
    9.       If there are any additional qualifications which are maintained in the job and not maintained in Infotype 0024, DONu2019T GENERATE ANYTHING IN FIELD
    10.   If there are any additional qualifications which are maintained in the job and if same are maintained in Infotype 0024, generate Q text under field of u201CAdditional Qualificationsu201D in the report
    11.   If there are any extra qualifications in infotype 0024, which are not maintained in Job, then generate Q text under field of u201CAdditional Qualificationsu201D in the report
Please provide the procedure.(For clarity copy and paste the text in a MS-word)
    Please reply ASAP.

  • Qualification block QB assignment (in SAP HR - Skills Management)

We have concept of Qualification block QB (in SAP HR - Skills Management) in our project.
Qualification block is a group of diverse  individual Qualifications/Skills with different scales.
When we assign a position at least one of the qualifications in a qualification block, the system automatically assigns the qualification block to the position.
Any idea of how to link our created positions with these Qualification block.
    I assigned Qualifications(Q)  to Qualification block(QB) through IT 1001.
Also assigned Qualification block(QB) to Position(S) through IT 1055
In PPPM tcode, when we select position, the list of Qualifications in the qualification block should get displayed.
But even after the above assignment, the list is not getting displayed
Can you suggest how this will work.

as you are aware of transaction pp01 and pppm.
what you have to do ...
    call transaction code  pp01
create QB OBJECT  along wit the following infotype..1002,1025,1033,1055.
through infotype 1055, you can as many Q object as you want.
then call the transaction code pppm  (assign QB object )
you can then assign qualification blocks to persons as qualifications and to positions, jobs, and tasks as requirements
for ex, i call object P.
Choose the Requirement Block tab page.
Choose Create and select the qualification block you require.
Enter the required proficiency and the validity period.
    Save your entries.
When you assign a person at least one of the qualifications in a qualification block, the system automatically assigns the qualification block to the person. (In the interest of data consistency, the user is not provided with a function for direct assignment.)
if you want to see your assign assign QB object , which will automatically get assign , you can check in infotype 0024 (qualification block tab.
or if you want to see want all the Q object linked with QB , CALL transaction code PPCP
select your objec for eg. P
enter personnel number, select include qualification and execute the transaction.
here you will find all your QB object, select your object and click on profile on top, there you can check all your Q object.

  • SAP HR - Qualification (IT 0024) - how to get them?

    Hi Gurus,
I'm starting to work on SAP HR and i'm finding some difficulties with infotypes.
My main problem, at the moments, are Qualifications (infotype 24).
I need to read all the qualifications for a Personnel number i got from input.
I think that table PA0024 contains them, but it's empity!
Via PA20/PA30 i can see the qualification for my Personnel number.
There is any FM i can use to read them?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
If you can see the qualification in PA20/PA30 then you can see them in PA0024 infotype. Check you have provided proper values in the selection screen.
PA0024 saves the codes of the Qualification and Proficiency

  • Problem storing two identical qualifications with different proficiencies

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to store qualifications in infotype 0024 (although the actual data ends up in HRP1001).  My issue is that if an employee holds two identical qualifications (ex. CPR) with two proficiencies (ex. basic and advanced), the system will not let me store both of them.  It either forces the earlier one's date to be delimited, thus making it no longer valid, or if the date range for the qualifications are the same, deletes the earlier one entirely and just saves the new one.
I know that this is because the key is duplicated in HRP1001.  BUT, HRP1001 also contains a SEQNR field that should handle this, but I cannot get it to work?  Is there a way to activate HRP1001-SEQNR?
I have tried playing with the time constraints.  I assume that '3' is the one to use, but I still can't get all of the qualifications to save.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks in advance!
    Shane LaBonte

    Hi Roman,
I want to use the Qualifications infotype because we need the data in e-recruitment as well.
I used CPR as a broad example.  I am in the K-12 Education sector.  A real-life example would be an employee that holds the qualification: Intermediate & Senior.  The proficiency of this qualification could be: Music.  Another could be: Law.
There is a college that all teachers must register through to get their qualifications recognized.  We are at their mercy in terms of how a qualification is defined.  And because of the sheer number of qualifications that could exist (we're talking upwards of 1000), we DO NOT want to get into any sort of mappings between a qualification coming from the college converted into a different qualification recorded at our end.
Any ideas?  I know this problem is quite unique.
    Thanks
    Shane

  • Deactivate the link between qualification and appraisal

    Hi expert,
i have a question for the qualification(infotype 0024) and appraisal (infotype 0025) in PA here.
After I maintained qualification for infotype 0024, i found that, when i go into appraisal(0025), the screen automaticlly switched to qualification(0024).
As i known, i have already done the configurations for the appraisal, but all the appraisal criterira didn't show in info type 0025.
Anyone knows how to deactivate the link between qualification and appraisal?
    please advice.
    Thanks,
    Liang

    Hi Liang,
    Goto SM31 -> T77S0.
PLOGI APPRA - make it 0.
PLOGI QUALI - make it space or 0 A032 Q.
    Try it.

  • Qualification blocks

    Hi SAP'ers,
I'm trying to use qualification blocks, where the blocks "represents" the roles of an employee. I was thinking that when I have created all the necessary Q- and QK objects, then created blocks and assigned them to positions, that they all would show in portal for the person/employee. It does not seem to work like that, do you know how I can fix it?
I first tried to assign the Qblocks automatically by creating a qualification which is part of a block to a person, that looks ok when I check the Qblock tab in PPPM, but it doesn't show all qualification in the qualification block, and that's what I would like to have. I actually have to add all qualifications to get them to show in portal (rated or not), then the purpose with QB is gone.
How do an employee know i.e which requirements they haven't fullfilled if they doesn't show?
I'm not familiar with these Qblocks, so I would really appreciate some hint and tips regarding this.
    Thanks,
    Erik

A Qualification Block (QB) is a bundling of diverse qualifications for the purpose of assigning them
to other objects. Qualification blocks enable you to bundle individual qualifications from diverse
qualification groups (with different scales) together and assign them in a block to other objects in
order to map qualification and requirements. The qualifications assigned to a qualification block do
not inherit the attributes of the qualification block.
„ You define qualification blocks in the infotype maintenance transaction (PP01). There you can also
assign qualification blocks to one another and create a hierarchy of qualification blocks. You can
then assign qualification blocks to persons as qualifications and to positions, jobs and tasks as
    required.
„ You must activate the qualification block in the Set Up Control parameters step with the QUALI
QBUSE switch and defined the view for editing Qualification Blocks for desired objects in the
    Define Profile Views IMG step.
„ When you assign a person at least one of the qualifications in a qualification block, the system
automatically assigns the qualification block to the person. In the interest of data consistency, the
user is not provided with a function for direct assignment. The attributes include the Percentage of
how many of the qualifications in the block are already assigned. This assignment is stored as an
external relationship in Infotype 1055. All qualification assigned to the qualification block are
displayed as inherited requirements, even though, technically speaking, the only direct assignment
created was the assignment of the object (S, P or T) to the qualification block.

  • Qualification vs Education and Experience.

    Hi experts,
What according to SAP is a Qualification (Q). How is it different from the Educational Qualification infotype and Experience infotype.
I sense that any skill or knowledge, which is gained by an employee (P) or applicant after attending a training event or course (E), which can be transferred through follow-up in TEM/LSO.
Before implementing, how to present/conceptualise to the core team members, what is a Qualification?
Is a qualification anything apart from a recognised degree/certificate from a formal educational body?
If it is being provided by an external trainer (not by the client), say an institution, how can the candidates be rated on that qualification? Should the client just request the institution, say on a scale of 1-10 and go ahead for a Profile Matchup?
    Earliest response appreciated.
    Regards,
    Veera Sasidhar Jangam

    HI,
Qualifications are the Requirements for the position. Education is an academic qualification.
for example for one to become an HR manager in an organisation where SAP is implemented the requirements/ qualifications can be given as
    a) Should have MBA in HR from a premier institute
    b) Should have 10years of administrative Experience
    c) Should be well versed with SAP implementation
    d) Should have good communication skills etc.
    The education qualifications can be
    MBA from XYZ college
    Graduation from XYZ college
    Intermediate from XYZ college Etc
Based on the inputs given by the applicant on the resume the profile of the candidate can be matched with that of the requirements in the process of shortlisting the applicants from the applicant pool.
    regards

  • Show Qualification tab

    Dear experts
In PPOME, while defining a position in SAP, in ides system, we have a tab which we can enter the qualifications needed for position, but in our development system we can't view this tab.

  • Qualifications in Appraisal catalog

    Hi,
    1. Is it a good practice to add the qualifications in the appraisal catalog? or is it better to record appraisals and qualifications separately?
    2. Assuming that qualifications are added in the appraisal, then  i have got generic qualifications as well as job (or department) specific qualifications. (our qualifications are basically like competencies, e.g, Office administration-generic or applicant handling-job specific)
While i can add the generic competencies in the appraisal model, but because of the job specific competencies i would probally need to define a diffrent appraisal model for each dept. (PSG in my case). Is that the right approach?
    3. Also, SAP allows to add a criteria under a qualification in the Appraisal Catalog. What is the purpose of this? Can someone please explain with an example? I would assume the qualification itself can be rated and there shouldn't be a need to add a criteria under it.
All comments appreciate (and rewarded with points)
    Thanks

    1. I think it is a good way to use qualifications in appraisal form. Because most of the firms' performance appraisal system is including a qualification part. When the qualifications are appraised in form the results of the final appraisal column can be added to appraisee's qualification infotype(0024) automatically. There will be no need to maintain the info type manually again.
    2. You can customize the forms by using badis.  If you use Free Enhancement - Add Requirements of Position and maintain the required links (such as every position must have an job and each job's requirements are defined.) you can see only the appraisee's job's requirements in the form.
Hope it will be useful for you.

  • Defaulting the qualification in E-Recruiting manager requisition ehp6

    Dear Experts!
We are on EHP6 with standalone scenario.
We would like to default the qualification/requirements in Requisition form for manager when he selects the position/job.
Please suggest the pre-requisites and activities to be completed to default the same.
I'm aware about the following requirements-->
1.RECFA HRQUA to be set to X in T77SO
2.Org Unit data is( C/S objects and relationship between them) is transferred via ALE.
    3. I would also like to default the qualification for internal employees.
    Queries-->
1.Do I have to transfer qualification catalogue from ECC to EREC using ALE for defaulting the requirements in requisition form?
If yes what should be filter model for qualifications( which infotypes objects/ types/subtypes/ relationships are required to be transferred for this requirement.
2.Do I need to transfer the qualification catalogue for defaulting the qualification for persons? If yes what filters should be added to ALE for this.
    Appreciate you quick help!
    Thanks,
    Poonam

    Hi Poonam,
    Please have a look at:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/en/45/8150635e9c40c1e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
Qualifications are stored in HR in infotype 1001 (032) for the person object type. So you need to add that in your distributional model to get all qualifications for employees also on E-Recruiting side.
For the whole qualification catalog transport check: http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/en/43/e8640b80d7719ce10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

  • MRS (Multi Resource Scheduling) - Using standard HR qualifications

We are using HR records to represent our resources and have decided not to use MRS qualifications but rather stay with standard HR qualifications.  Therefore, in basic settings, we have not turned on MRS qualifications.  Our challenge, however, is that from within the planning board we are not seeing "required qualifications" and "suitable resources" as we would have expected.  We have done the following:
    1.  Created a simple scale (qualified/not qualified).
    2.  Created a qualfication group with the simple scale assigned.
    3.  Created two qualifications within the qualification group.
    4.  We then created a logistics requirements profile with a qualification which was marked as "essential"
    5.  We then used this requirements profile in a maintenance operation.
    6.  We also used PPPM to assign these qualifications to a few resources with an indication of them being "qualified".
    7.  We also made sure that the operation dates fell within the valid period for the qualifications.
    8.  I'm not sure if it's required but we even ran /MRSS/HCM_RPTWFMIF with the "transfer qualifications" box checked.
However, when in the planning board, if we select the operation and look for "required qualifications" we see nothing on the list even though the qualification in the profile had been marked as "essential".  Also, when we look for "suitable resources" we get a list of people that seems to have no relationship to the resources that have a qualfication.  Resources will show up on the list with an indication of 100% qualified even though they may never have had the qualification assigned to them or have had "not qualified" assigned and then resources that do have "qualified" assigned may not show up.  There are also other combinations and permutations of people on the list of "suitable resources" that show up but there is no way to tell what is good suitability data and what is not.  Any idea what we may be missing here?  (We are on MRS 610 SP06.)

    Hi Mark,
    Check the following:
    1) You have run the report /MRSS/HCM_RPTWFMIF with transfer qualifications as checked. I guess (from your other post) this data is going in own HR box instead of MRS box (due to RFC issue)
    Check the table: /MRS/D_BAS_REQ
If you solve the RFC problem, this should get solved automatically.
    2) When you created a Requirement profile, you need to attach it on the "Internal" tab of the operation
    Now check following:
    1) Right click on demand and select "Required Qualifications" -- It should show the qualifications
    2) Right click on Resource and select "Qualifications" -- It should show skills of resource
If 1 fails - Order Qualifications are not transferred !!
If 2 fails - Resource qualifications are not transferred - RFC issue (may be)
If both are there then the suitable resource should work.
If both 1 and 2 are not there then 100 % result is correct -- Because from the demand side no skill is required so each resource is qualified to do the job...
    Regards
    Varun
