I phoned BT last week on Tuesday, 23rd March 2010 to launch a request to move my telephone line AND broadband service to my new address.I was told that my telephone line will go active on 29th March and my broadband service will go live on Tuesday, 30th March 2010.My telephone line started working at my new address on 29th March as promised..you can imagine my horror on phoning BT this morning (Wednesday ,31st march 2010) wondering why my broadband didn’t go active as they’d promised last week only for them to tell me that my contract had been cancelled without my knowledge!
I know I had two months left on my contract but that’s no way for BT to cancel my contract WITHOUT my consent!..Had it been the other way round, I’d been hounded like hell by them!..They’ve got the nerve to tell me that I can get my broadband set up  no problem but it’ll have to be a new contract!!..that angers me!..As weird as it sounds, I never had any problems with BT ,in fact, I was considering extending my service with them but they’ve put me right off!!
I phoned them today at 12pm and I was on the phone with them for 40mins only for this GUY with a very strong Indian accent hang up on me!!..
They haven’t heard the last of me!,my sister is a laywer and she says the they’r ein breach of my /their contract.The contract works both ways and they’re liable for damages!!
Im definitely taking this matter further!!

    Hi I had an email from bt on 28-03-14 saying about a cancellation of my contract? I have had no contact with bt to cancel my contract and they are requesting I pay over £300. I have recently moved into a new property after having a lot of problems with my previous landlady. I do not want to cancel my contract I want to do a home move when I'm settled. The contract is all paid and up to date so their should be no reason for bt themselves to cancel the contract but by the sounds of it my previous landlady has done it without consulting myself?   • I want to cancel my broadband and pay off my debt.

    Recently I was shocked to discover that my direct debit had been altered to £73.50 a month! I was informed, upon contacting your billing people, that this was due to a number of phone calls I had made.  I have since discovered that the internet phone which was provided with the Option 3 Broadband package is no longer being produced and, therefore, my free evening and weekend calls no longer apply.  No warning was given or any information about this passed to me!  I have been informed that the onus was on ME to find this out!  I entered a contract and the terms of that contract were made clear to me and that contract has been broken as far as I am concerned. 
    Ever since I made the terrible mistake of signing up for BT Broadband, I have been treated appallingly and it is my wish to cancel my Broadband and no longer have anything to do with British Telecom or its services.  From day one my speeds were absolutely ridiculously slow and I had to go through the indignity of calling an Indian call centre who's staff would give the constant run around with the usual "Switch it on and off again" stupidity.  We are talking speeds of less than 1meg which was not what I was paying for.  I was even, on a few occasions where I said there was something wrong with the line, called a liar and had the phone slammed down on me.  Throughout this time I was charged £65 a month which was way over the agreed amount but I accepted this as I was told this was the charge for installation.
    This £65 bill went on for longer than I care to remember (And certainly much longer than was necessary to pay off the installation charge!) so I contacted one of your staff who agreed that I was paying way more than I should have been and so the charge was reduced to £40 a month.  I was told that it would always be £40 a month and was assured that that was set in stone and would not change.  Once again your staff have lied to me. 
    I spoke to one of your staff recently, after they had contacted me enquiring about my cancellation of the direct debit (I had no choice as we have no income and are awaiting news on benefits and have a chronically ill baby son so any money we do manage to scrape together goes on train fairs to Great Ormond Street for his treatment.  I also have a chronic kidney condition which is potentially fatal and have had to give up on my own medical treatment, essentially condemning myself to death, as I can no longer afford to get to my own appointments.  I include this information to illustrate just how terrible our financial situation has become.) explaining that I wished to cancel my BT Broadband and phone package as I  am moving home and simply cannot afford to have a landline and internet package anymore.  I was advised that I should wait until I had further information on my move, as the moving in date had not been set yet, and call again where I would be able to cancel my package and come to an arrangement to pay off my debt (Which would be around the £140 mark - your staff are unable to give me a fixed sum as of yet) in instalments.
    I called today to cancel my package on the date of 24th May 2012 (Our moving date) and arrange said instalment plan only to be told that I am unable to come to an arrangement to pay the debt if I dare to leave British Telecom and that they will have no option but to contact a debt collection agency to claim the amount in full unless I renew my contract(!).  It is my understanding that, as I am not in contract with BT anymore, I can cancel my broadband package any time I please and it is also my right to arrange a payment plan without being bullied and cajoled into staying as a BT customer when I have absolutely no desire to do business with this company EVER again.

    Maybe the document is corrupted. Can you open other Pages documents? Preview may open it. Right click (or control click) on the document in Finder and Open With > Preview.
    If that works, Edit > Select All, Edit > Copy. Then paste into a blank Pages document. Formatting may be messed up, but you will have editable text. Then Save (with a different name), close and see if you can open the new document.

    Is there any way of cancelling a broadband order on the grounds of unreasonable delay in fulfillment? I've moved house and office I was told that my phone number would be moved and my broadband set up within two weeks - that is, one week after moving. This was just about acceptable since moving is always chaotic and friends, clients and colleagues expect it. But I run my business from home and I have been told today (19 Jan) that I will have to wait another week.This is unacceptable to me if I can find an alernative supplier who will set me up within the next few days.

    Bear in mind, its Openreach that do any provision works for all service providers, so cancelling and changing providers, would send you to the bottom of the queue.
    Broadband provision cannot take place until there is a working telephone line. Once that is in place, then there will be a delay until the broadband task can be completed, depending on how busy Openreach are.

    Your question, "Based upon that, I believe you are telling me you do not think it is the BIOS--is that correct?" Yes, as long as you dont see any "white" light reveal from LCD bezel back side while with blank screen state. LCD bezel is the cover around LCD, most design put LED modeule at the bottom side next to LCD. While back light is not on during boot up sequence, that means system doesnt have chance to get BIOS program running. It also means, it stuck at state of hardware bring up. Normally motherboard related.
    I quickly checked hp.com and found some link that may help. Or 1-800-HP invent (1-800-474-6836) can save times. This forum only intends to quick/simply reply users questions. About another service and repair charge, I have to give you other links to reach.

         Use SM 36 for creating the job...and SM 37 for displayin the job...here
    u can see some details such as job name,job modifier name,modified date from which date to which date....but u must know the job name den only u can find the modifier name there...
    it is possible to know such logs.....
          select the job..in that screen job log button is there..select the button,can get the job log ..ie start time and end time and some  other informations..

    if you do nothing but install it, yes.
    what you can do is control click on the application and chose the "Duplicate" option. this will create a renamed copy of GBv5, and when GBv6 replaces the original GBv5, you'll still have the renamed copy available in your Applications Folder to launch (i currently have back to version 4 available on this machine... back to 3 on another).
    for v6 and lower, the instruments will stay the same (GBv10 is vastly different and does replace instruments)
    SOP: if you don't have a full backup of your system, you'll lose everything at some point. as long as you do, you can at least recover from any failure such as installing new software

    Have you tried holding the power button down for several seconds? I would try the force quit as mentioned earlier first, or go to the Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities and try force quit there.

    Sorry we are unclear as to the external hard drive and its connection to the TC..
    For instance the light that blinks.. is that the TC or external hard disk or what.
    Did you try just rebooting / restart the whole network in correct order.. modem.. router / TC.. external drive.. clients with 2min gap between each.
    Are you actually running Snow Leopard as the profile states?
    How old is the TC?

    Unfortunately, Skype discontinued its Unlimited India subscription last month.  Skype is not renewing those subscriptions.  There are now 4 subscriptions for calling Indian telephones (60, 120, 800, or 2500 minutes per month).  If you want to continue with a subscription for calling telephones in that country, you would need to select one of these subscriptions.

  • BT terminated our business Broadband without us kn...

    So on the 23rd April, BT disconnected our Broadband, without our knowledge or authorisation, and as we are an online business we've lost customers and credibility in the days that it took for the faciity to be set up again!  We even had to buy a dongle with a sim card & data contract to try and retrieve some broadband connectivity.
    I've written to BT at Durham, describing exactly what they did wrong and the nightmare process we had to get through to get the Broadband facility up and running again. I stated that we need recompense for the extra expenses we've incurred and the loss of business.
    I've not had any reply from BT acknowledging receipt of the letter. I've even completed the online complaints form with a copy of the letter and been given s reference number but still nothing definitive from BT!
    Can anybody suggest what we should do next?
