Reading Configure- Station Options- Immediately Goto Cleanup on Sequence Failure Checkbox Setting

In TestStand 3.5, how do you programatically read the status of the Configure->Station Options->Immediately Goto Cleanup on Sequence Failure checkbox?  How would you programatically set this value?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Thanks for the reply, but I tried your suggestion and it cannot resolve the reference.  When I typed in Engine. it was immediately replaced by RunState.Engine. so I used RunState.Engine.StationOptions.AlwaysGotoCleanupOn Failure.  When the step was executed, there was an error stating "Unknown variable or property name RunState.Engine.StationOptions".  When I go to the context tab, I see the Engine object, but I cannot expand to see what elements it contains.  Any further suggestions?   How does one find out what "Engine" contains anyway?

  • Where is "Immediately Goto Cleanup on Sequence Failure" stored?

    1. When I set "Immediately Goto Cleanup on Sequence Failure" on the Station Options dialog, where is that property stored? I want to have the process model set it and not let operators set it.
    2. If I am running the Batch model, and one socket fails, what is a good way to terminate the other socket(s), or make the other socket(s) jump to their own cleanups?
    Thanks,
    cc

    Hello cc,
For your first question, you can use the TestStand API to set the Engine.StationOptions.AlwaysGotoCleanupOnFailure property to True.  This has the same affect as setting the Station Options manually.
You second question is more tricky.  One way that you can have the other TestSockets go to their clean up is by sharing a FileGlobal.  If one TestSocket fails, then it would set this variable to true.  Then all of the other TestSockets would check this variable before each step to see if there is an error; if so, then they would branch to clean-up of that sequence.  You will most likely want to use the ProcessModelPreStep and ProcessModelPostStepFailure Engine callbacks in your process model.  They will fire at the appropriate time in your client sequence file (not in the process model where you defined them).  I hope this helps.  Have a greay day!

  • Changing station options programmatically

    Hi
I am trying to change the Station Options programmatically (in a TestStand seq) rather than via the dialog. In particular, I want to change the "Immediately Goto Cleanup on Sequence Failure", although I will probably also want to change other options later.
    I have succeeded in:
Getting the ConfigFile (PropertyObjectFile) using the Runstate.Engine reference
Getting the Data (PropertyObject) using the Configfile reference.
Setting "StopOnSequenceFailure" using SetValBoolean with the Data reference.
Saving the changes to TestExec.ini, using SaveFileIfModified with the ConfigFile reference.
However, the change only takes effect when TestStand is restarted, and does not show up in the StationOptions dialog (until a restart). Using the dialog, I can change the setting while stepping through a sequence, and it takes effect immediately, so there must be a way to do this from within a sequence.
How do I "refresh" TestStand's "copy" of the variable?
    Thanks
    (I am using TestStand 2.0.1.)

    Jan,
What Version of TestStand are you using?
I assume you are using the TestStand API.
You can get a reference to the StaionOptions Object from the Engine.
    StationOptions Property (Read Only)
    Syntax
    Engine.StationOptions
    Data Type
    StationOptions
    Purpose
Gets a reference to the StationOptions object.
    Remarks
Use the StationOptions object to set preferences for your TestStand station. Station option settings affect all sequence editor and operator interface sessions that you run on your computer.
    See Also
    StationOptions
    Check TestStand Help.
Usin this reference you can access most of the options present in the station options dialog.
    I hope this helps.

  • Where is the station options configuration stored

Where is the station options configuration gets stored in TestStand 4.2.1?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The StationGlobals.ini file is in your TestStand Config directory, which is found at <TestStand Application Data>\Cfg.
On Windows 7, this is C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2\Cfg. I don't remember off-hand what the exact path is on versions of Windows earlier than Vista... Somewhere under C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\. You can just search for StationGlobals.ini if you need to.

  • Airport Utility won't read base station configuration

    Hi
This is very frustrating. I've just bought a new iMac and found out my previously working Airport Express that I use as an AirTunes hub can't be seen in iTunes.
No problem, after trying everything I decided to reset it's factory defaults and then use Airport Utility 5.2.1 to set it up again from scratch. The utility sees my Airport Express hub and when I go to configure it it just stops on 'Reading base station configuration...' and doesn't move any further.
Has anyone any idea why the utility is playing silly sods?
    Gaz

I am having the same problem (sort of). I have two AX set up as WDS. I can see both units in Airport Admin Utility but cannot read configuration on either of them. It accepts their passwords but then returns the message "unknown error connecting to Airport Express" after a minute or so of the spinning rainbow.
My main AX seems to be working fine. I can connect to the internet and my home network from either my iMac or MacBook Pro but my range is fairly limited which leads me to believe that there is a configuration issue with the 2nd AX as a WDS client but I can't check it. I have tried soft, hard and Factory reset all of which seemed to be successful but the problem still persists.

  • Stuck at "reading base station configuration"

    hi
i just had a problem with configuring my new airport express base station. my ibook would see it, but would spin indefinitely at "reading base station configuration". i didn't find a clear answer here, but figured it out after some experimenting, and thought i would post my results to pay back the numerous times that this forum has saved my hide...
before getting the "reading base station configuration" message i would get a message saying i needed to switch networks to continue, which i finally realized meant that my airport card was working on connecting to another network.
i went to system preferences/ network / locations, created a new location, went to "configure", then under "airport' i clicked on the thing that says "by default join preferred networks". under that was a huge list of all the networks i had ever been on. i used the minus sign to wipe them all out, and voila, next attempt to connect was successful....
    jeff

Try configuring the Airport via an ethernet cable. Plug cable into WAN port on Airport and then into your computer. See if that works. You should be able to configure it this way.
I think the last Airport and software updates are buggy myself.

  • Station Options - User Manager tab

Within the Station Options, I see the User Manager tab.  If I use the default configure location, the Users.ini file will live in C:\Program Files\National Instruments\TestStand 3.5\Cfg\Users.ini.  Is this where BOTH the development and target Users.ini file will live, or is this only the development location?  If this location applies only to the development, where is the target location specified?

    That's correct.
All of my deployments, locally and at our contract manufacturers, are connected to a network. For the CM's we provide an inexpensive server that is connected to the CM's network. The testers are connected to a network provided by the server. All test results go to the server. That makes it easy for both the CM and my company to get test results. Also, the sequence files, test steps, model files, etc. are all deployed to the server. This makes it simple to update all testers at once and I don't have to worry that one tester out of several and 3 thousand miles away missed getting updated. Servers are cheap.

  • How can configure scope options in dhcp server

    Good Night Partners.
I need configure scope options in dhcp server on mac mini.
i dont know how to do.
its my first mac and i confuse.
    Can anybody help me please.

Are you referring to DHCP Option Codes? If so then this can be done with the DHCP server included with Mac OS X Server. However Apple do not provide a tool for doing this nor for encoding the values in the required format.
What you will need to do is edit the DHCP Server configuration file manually using a text editor. This configuration file is located at /etc/bootpd.plist before you do this I advise having a read of the Unix man page for bootpd (the DHCP server software Apple use).
You can use a utility I have written to generate the required information and then paste this in to /etc/bootpd.plist it can be downloaded from -

  • DBCA - "Configure Database Options" is diabled

    Hi,
I installed Oracle Database 10.2.0.4 without Oracle JVM. Now I want to add Oracle JVM.
However when I run dbca the option "Configure Database Option" is disabled. What can I do to enable it?
I read in Oracle doc http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/java.102/b14187/chfour.htm#BABGAHEE the following:
If you have already installed Oracle Database without Oracle JVM, then you can add Java to your database through the modify mode of the Database Configuration Assistant of Oracle Database 10g. The modify mode enables you to choose the features, such as Oracle JVM, that you would like to install on top of an existing Oracle Database instance.and I'm trying now to do that. Is "Configure Database Option" what I need or it is something else?
    OS: Solaris 10 x86

The issue is resolved. I just have forgotten to add an entry for my database to oratab file. Now the option is enabled in dbca.

  • Configuring PPP options for only one VPN connection

How do you configure PPP options for only one VPN connection that is using L2TP over IPSec? The built-in VPN client in 10.4.9 is failing authentication because it won't talk MSCHAP-V2 (this is the only authentication protocol I can use) with the server. I am able to establish a connection if I add the following to /etc/ppp/options:
    refuse-eap
    refuse-pap
    refuse-chap
    refuse-mschap
    require-mschap-v2
However, these options will affect all PPP connections. The preference file that contains the network configurations (/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist) also contains PPP options for each specific network service. After some searching around, I found that there are several keys that seem promising (MSCHAP2, etc.). But these keys take a string value and I have no clue what they should be. These keys are defined in SCSchemaDefinitions.h file.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Brian,
I just tried to check all of ADDT´s "includes" files for any internal references (read: "require" or "require_once" statements) to the file "tNG_config.inc.php". So far I can only see this file referenced in the file "tNG.inc.php" (within the "$KT_tNG_uploadFileList1" array).
So what could this mean ? Maybe you´ll have to make copies of the the original "tNG.inc.php" as well and save them as, say, "tNG.inc_ital.php" file plus make sure that these copies internally point to a different "tNG_config_ital.inc.php" file -- because it´s always the first mentioned file which gets referenced from e.g. an ADDT login page (see the "Load the tNG classes" - part)
I want to use ADDT’s User Registration Wizard and I have looked at all the neat stuff in the Control Panel/Login Settings
The Control Panel will always update the main "tNG_config.inc.php" file, so any further modifications will have to become manually applied to the custom files you´re creating.
    Cheers,
    Günter

  • Station options not copied to deployment

In my .tsd file I checked Deploy files in TS public directories as I had been told this would cause station options to be copied. However my cfg directory preference does not come across. We use a custom location instead of the default for the cfg directory so we can place it with the rest of the version controlled software. The source directories on the development machine are different then the deployment directories but I don't think this has not been a problem in the past.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    jh

    Hey Hoss,
I am not sure that I am clear about your setup, but if you are developing a sequence file through SVN, you should do the following:
Create a workspace with all dependent configuration files, sequence files and libraries (I have attached a screenshot of what this would look like). You should then upload this to SVN and allow users to make changes to files through the workspace. Once you are ready for deployment, you can download the workspace file and deploy using the workspace option. You should never replace altered configuration files with the original configuration files in your development environment, as this will affect all future development.
Having said that, if you are considering changes on a test station that has already been deployed to, you can replace configuration files once they have been altered.
Please let me know if I have thoroughly addressed your question and I hope you have a great day!

  • Airport Express 802.11n - Fixed reading configuration freeze! :)

    Hi,
I have been fighting with my airport express for a day or 2 because every time Airport Utility found it, it hung on reading configuration. I googled, read tons of tips, reset everything millions of times always the same result. It would show up sometimes, but airport utility stuck on reading configuration. Today I fixed it with this,
    1- Open a terminal window
    2- Copy this line
    sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder.plist
3- Paste into your terminal window, press return and enter your admin password when prompted
    4- Try Airport Utility again!!
Please let me know if this helped anyone else, I am so pleased I've got airtunes working at last and I can setup my AX without using a different machine.

Damas&Co., Welcome to the discussion area!
Unfortunately I don't think you are going to get that to work. Most 3rd party devices are NOT compatible with Apple's WDS. No one has ever reported success using WDS between one of Apple's base stations and any 3com device.

  • "problem reading configuration"  Bug in Admin for Graphite and Snow

Background: Bought a used "graphite" (M5757 SN PW9495EYH93) for a friend with only dial-up access. Downloaded Airport Admin for Graphite and Snow. System seemed to be operating fine - I could see it on WiFi and even connect. Of course I was missing some passwords, so I needed to get it back to default settings by doing a hard reset-"perform a local reload". Support article HT2439 provided instructions: I plugged in a wired connection.
But "Auto" address selection didn't seem to work - I kept getting "problem reading configuration" messages.
So I tried "Manual" for entering IP address and password.
OOPS! When selecting "manual" for setting the IP address, the IP address triplets entered were reversed when saved in the device. Or at least they display reversed in AirPort Admin, while other nearby AirPort addresses display correctly.
For instance, when I set the device to the Apple default address of 192.42.249.13, the address displayed in AirPort Admin was 13.249.42.192. This was reliably repeatable, and worked around by entering the desired triplets in reverse order. Once I inverted the triplets and got the IP address I expected into the AirPort, configuration proceeded smoothly.
This bug can lead to frustration finding and reconfiguring AirPort devices, communicating over ethernet (since of course the network address and subnet masks work perfectly, but not as expected) and displaying/changing configurations. I didn't spend more time investigating the boundaries of the problem after finding the work-around and getting this particular AirPort working, but the problem might be the cause of some of the other configuration issues that seem to crop up regularly.

Hello Dudlington. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
The "Airport Admin Utility for Graphite and Snow" seems to be at version 4.2.5 for OS X and was released in April 2008, yet only supports the "dual ethernet" versions.
Not to worry, the "Dual Ethernet" and "Snow" actually refer to the same model. The 802.11b Snow is the predecessor to the 802.11b/g AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) and followed the "Graphite."

I'm using a relative path to my .pfx file for both the transportServerCredential and licenseServerCredential in the flashaccess-tenant.xml and my password has been scrambled using the Scrambler.bat.
Also, when I verify setup using http://<LicenseServer>:8080/flashaccessserver/flashaccess/license/v2 I get the message 'License server is setup correctly.'
Any ideas of why the Validator.bat can't read the configuration file?

I agree with you that if I can successfully playback content the license serve is setup successfully. Here is what I've tried and how I've set things up:
I have my license server setup (its the Protected Streaming version).
I'm using Adobe Media Server as my content/packaging server. I successfully served Vanilla PHLS sample streams to the sample Adobe Access player on iOS devices.
I have configured the Adobe Media Server to point to the license server and certificates as per the documenation and this Adobe Dev article (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/adobe-media-server/articles/content-protection-using-phds-phls .html). Since I am using a trial version of Adobe Access my .der files are the same for transport and packaging.
I am using the local key mode to remove one more variable (I have setup a remote key server as well).
I have placed a copy of the 'vod-policy.pol' policy file from the reference license server resources directory in my Adobe Media Server 'creds' directory and used the relative path '..creds/vod-policy.pol' in the httpd.conf file.
When I attempt to load the sample stream http://<mymediaserver>/hls-vod/sample2_1000kbps.f4v.m3u8 using the Adobe Access sample player on my iOS device I receive the following errors in the player:
    DRM error Major[3363] minor:[0] NSError:(null)]
From my knowledge of working with the Adobe Access Objective C library to create a PhoneGap plugin it appears that a decrypted playlist is not being returned by the Adobe Media Server. Additionally, I can find no information in the Adobe Media Server or Adobe Access logs that pertain to my setup.
I would love to have someone from Adobe speak to the problems I am having. I find the documentation to be hit and miss and most of my successful results during this proofing process have been from piecing together disparate pieces of information and trial and error. Information on using the Adobe Media Server with Adobe Access is limited to one Devnet article (above) and the help in Adobe Media Server that doesn't explain pathing to the license server or Java policy files in any detail.
