Recently purchased X1, Windows 7 update issues

Hello everyone!
I recently purchased the X1 and I love it so far. But I am having troubles with Windows update.
I am able to download the updates. But whenever I go to restart my computer to complete the updating process, the "configuring Windows update" only goes up to 15%, then it shuts down. Upon re-boot it then goes to 15%, but then it says it is failing at updating and reverting all changes.
I have tried using the Windows Update Troubleshooter. But that has not fixed anything.
Any suggestions for quick fixes? If not, I think may have to call Lenovo Tech Support and maybe have it sent in.

Hi there I too own an V3 -571. Unlike you, when I ran the Windows 10 app compatibility test, it said my laptop was compatible and reported no issues. So I went ahead and upgraded to W10, despite Acer website not having this model listed. For the last seven days I've been searching forums and the web to eliminate an issue around my boot up time, which was previously less than 15 seconds on 8.1 and was now up to 3minutes! You'd get a black screen and then eventually it would get to the login screen. It was so frustrating. I tried endless tips and instructions, but apparently it's the drivers (predominantly the display adapters) than need updating. However, this is impossible if our model (V3-571) isn't supported and W10 compatible drivers aren't available. Dolby home theatre v4 stopped working too, which I've seen a lot of other users complain about on this forum. Last night I reverted back to 8.1 as I'd had enough. If you do go ahead and update I'd be intrigued to know how you get on and whether you ecounter the same boot up issue that I did, especially as we have the same laptop. I've decided to wait for either Microsoft or Acer to iron out the cracks and all relevant drivers are available, if ever. I like the new W10 but I can't deal with laptop taking 3 minutes to turn on.

I have iTunes on an XP service pack 3 computer, recently purchased a Windows 7 Home preimum laptop. How do I move my music from the XP to the laptop? do I need to have the same version of iTunes on both computers?

I have used iTunes on a desk top with XP service pack 3 and have quite a bit of music on that computer. Recently purchased laptop with windows Premium Home and am now laoding iTunes on the laptop. How do I copy my music to the laptop and in the future how do I sync the music files on the two computers? Do I need the same version of itunes on both computers?

Quit iTunes on new computer.
Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /My Music/ on new computer.
Launch iTunes.
Thant is all you need to do.

Windows Black Update Issues Error Code 801882d1

I am facing an issue while trying to download the Windows Black update on my Lumia 520 (India). I am trying to download the update through Wi-Fi.
The issue is that the download continues till 35% and then it gives an error message saying- The update could not be downloaded. (801882d1).
I have the process at least 10 times but everytime i am getting the same error. I have tried the basic troubleshooting like restarting the phone, resetting it etc. but in vain. There is enough space in my phone as well, more than 3GB.
Is anybody else facing the same issue?

Thanks for your inputs...this will help us to understand the different kinds of issues that people are facing.
I have already spoken to the Nokia Support team regarding this issue and at first they were trying to convince me that the Black update has not been officially released for 520 in India. To which I pointed that the announcement regarding the the availability of the update has been published in Nokia website and if it's not official released then it should not have been published by Nokia in the first place.
They did not have any answer to my argument and finally accepted that there are some issues at their side with the Lumia Black OTA updates and they are investigating this issue.
Also, I have raised a complaint regarding this issue (Service request number 1-14960725149) and waiting for the resolution. Leys see when they provide the resolution. Will update the forum.

BIP Desktop - windows security update issue

Hi Wizards,
My PC has automatically installed Windows 7 security updates yesterday. As a result, the BI Publisher Add-In has disappeared from the ribbon in Word (it is fine in Excel though). A similar situation happened in August, where BIP did not work correctly due to another update.
I have already removed and re-installed BIP Desktop (11.1.1.5.0) with no success at the end.
I urgently need the fix, could someone point me to the right place in this forum or somewhere else, please?

Windows 7 Update issues NB505

Tried many times to get Windows Update to update various files, but just won't update. I've disabled my Norton Anti-Virus before the attempts, but still won't update.
Error messages are Code 80070BC9, Code 643 and Code BC9. As far as I'm conerned it shouldn't be up to the user to have to continually research why this or that won't happen. That's Toshiba's or Microsofts responsibility. I go all the way back to the original DOS days. This thing of user research has gotten way out of hand.

I am having an impossible time with wiondows updates. Every time I try to install updates the error code 80070241 comes up. It will not show me any previous updates or anything either.It says that updates were never installed and there were never any recent updates. I tried to install the updates manually from a list I found and then the error code : "0x80073afc the resource loader failed to find the MUI file" came up, please help!

Is this a brand new install of Microsoft Windows 7, or one that was working previously and then started having this problem?

Unable to launch iTunes recently after my windows vista update

When I launch iTunes, the error prompted. "iTunes has stopped working" - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available - "Close program" button. Then the following error prompted;

I resolved this myself by uninstalling ALL Apple programs and reinstalling the iTunes software. No files were lost and account sync worked as before.

there was a recent Aug 2013 Windows 7 update for broadcom bluetooth and now laptop it will no longer pair iphone5 or iphone4s or ipod. I tried system restore before the update but no luck. went to broadcom.com to get latest drivers but now it says it can't detect bluetooth device. it all worked up until the update. Any suggestions?

I recently purchased a tv episode from the iTunes store. However, I can not get the tv episode downloaded to my IPOD Touch i.e. can not sync movie although music works fine. From what I read it is an issue with the format of the episode. The format is HD and apparently is too much for my IPOD touch. According to the documentation, the SD format for the episode should have been downloaded at the same time as the HD. I have the latest iOS for my IPOD Touch, 4.2.1 and latest for ITunes 10.5.3.3. I am using my PC with Windows 7. I can not download directly to the IPOD Touch since access to the clous is required i.e. iOS 4.3 or higher. Any suggestions?

My suggestion is for you to do the downloads overnight.
