Rectangle values won't print

I am working on a program to create a rectangle class with attributes of length and width both set to 1 and then caculate the area and the perimeter but it won't display the data. and gives me an error on the line for printing area and perimeter say it needs method but the method is already there. any help would be appreciated.
package rectangle;
import java.util.*;
import java.awt.Rectangle;
public class rectangle {
    private double length;
    private double width;
    private double area;
    private double perimeter;
    /** Creates a new instance of rectangle */
    public rectangle() {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
        public void setWidth(double x)
        width = (x > 0.0 && x < 20.0)?x : 1;
    public void setLength(double y)
        length = (y > 0.0 && y < 20.0)?y : 1;
    public double getWidth()
    return width;
    public double getLength()
        return length;
    public double cArea() {
    return length * width;
    public double cPerimeter( ) {
    return (2 * length) + (2 * width);
      // Print out of rectangle details
     public void showDetails()
       System.out.println("Rectangle Width: " + width);
       System.out.println("Rectangle Length: " + length);
       System.out.println("Rectangle Perimeter: " + cperimeter());
       System.out.println("Rectangle Area: " + carea() + "\n");
     } // end class main
}  // end class Rectangle

I am no longer getting an error but it still does not display informationany help would be appreciated. reposting code without error.

  • Report won't print to the end of width in Oracle E-Business Suite

    Hello all,
    I desperately need help to setup Reports 6i layout. I created a report for a 8.3 x 11.69" and it seems fine when I print directly from Reports Developer but when I register it in Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 it won't print to the end of page width. It always cut the print in about 3/4 of page width. I already setup the report as a text and pdf but still no success. Enlarge the width and height of the report won't help either. Anyone can suggest something to help? Thanks.

    With only one cartridge light blinking I would suspect the cartridge, they do rarely fail (much more often for reman cartridges, see here).  Clean the cartridge contascts as shown here.  If that fails and the cartridge is an original HP then check the warranty date as shown here.  If the cartridge is in warranty return it to your dealer for a warranty replacement.
    The printer will automatically switch to backup mode if the black (or color in some printers) cartridge is removed.  I do not know if this works with the PSC 1510, some all-in-on devices insist on having both cartridges present.

  • Pantone Color 5615 Coated Won't Print On 1 of 2 Identical HP DesignJet 5500s

    Hi,
    We've run into an odd problem where we have 2 locations with identical setups: Creative Suite Design Premium 4, Mac Pros, and HP DesignJet 5500s.  The same InDesign file prints fine in one location with a DesignJet 5500, but when we print the same ID file at the second location that has a second DesignJet 5500, the only color that doesn't print correctly is Pantone 5615 Coated.  We're using same printer driver version for both printers.  I haven't yet checked Firmware versions for both printers.
    On the printer that won't print Pantone 5615, the printer doesn't print it correctly in any of our Creative Suite applications.  We tried creating completely new files in ID, PS, IL and the color won't print.  We've checked color management in Bridge and ID and they seem OK.  We're not currently having any other color problems printing with any other Creative Suite files with this printer.  Colors are accurate all the way around.
    I read the forum and saw a lot of posting about Pantone colors, so I will try some of the suggestions related to Pantone issues.  At the moment, I'm not at the location with the problem printer and can't try the suggestions until next week.
    When I was at the location yesterday, we tried printing Pantone 5615 from Quark 7.5 and the color printed fine.  Obviously, we don't want to use Quark on an ongoing basis for this project.  It seems likely that it isn't a printer hardware problem since the Pantone color prints out fine from the Quark file.  There seems to be a setting somewhere in Creative Suite that the printer at our one location doesn't like, or there is some setting on the printer that is different than the other printer.  I don't think it's a network problem with the one printer versus the other printer because I would think Quark would then run into the same problem.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Jason

    I have the same issue with my 44" Z3100ps GP Photo, but it is when I print from Photoshop CS5. I am running OSX 10.68 and since the last Apple/HP printer driver update this last Summer my printer will not print solid black strokes or borders around an image, yet the image prints perfectly.
    I tried to roll back the drivers with no success. If I make a solid black rectangler file and try print it nothing at all prints. If I scribble in Photoshop with white paint brush in the middle of that same file the printer skips the left edge of the black rectangle and then prints the middle scribbnle and right egde of the rectangle folowing the contour of the scribble on the left.
    Had me baffled and still does, the printheads are in good working order. I print large canvas photos with 1.5" black borders used to cover the sides of stretched canvases. The only way I have found around this issue is to add an inch or so to the canvas size all the way around in photoshop and make it white. That seems to fool the printer into printing the file with the full black border. Still this is not a real fix, but at least it keeps my printer running.
    Let me know if you find a solution to this. HP support doesn't help as they only give support to in warranty printers. Maybe Apple could help with the drivers?

  • Printer won't print too- need a new printer head. i want to know if you have one in stock

    Hi, my printer won't print and the error message states "bad printerhead".  My printer model is  HP officejet d 155xi.  I need to know  how much it costs or would it be cheaper to buy a new printer.  Still have four cartridges of ink.  Please advise.  Thanks.

    HI,
    You can find the General prices for the printheads HERE, if you only have to replace one its ok, but keep in mind that the other printhead are likely to be just as old and might break down as wel.

  • I have an hp photosmart c7280 all-in-one series printer won't print. error message, system problem

    I have an HP Photosmart All-in-One C7280 series printer/fax/copier/scanner. I have been having issues with printing for the past few weeks. It is a wireless printer, with a jack into the wall (for fax) and it is plugged into a power source. I never used to have issues with it before, but recently, it won't print when I send a document to it to print. It will print its configuration pages, reports, etc if I select them from the Printer's menu but not when I send a doc to it to print. First it was saying it was offline, but I figured out how to override that by operating as an administrator and selecting "Use Printer Online" from the dropdown menu when I right clicked on the printer from the control panel. But now it says "Error: Printer failed to print document. System error".
    Noooo clue what to do now. This is the only color printer we have so we kind of need it to work. We bought this printer off the shelf at a office store (before I started working here) and so we don't have any designated technichians to work on it. I asked the guy who services our Image Runner Copier to look at it but he had no clue what was wrong with it. Hopefully someone can help?

    goestherain,
    I need to know what operating system you are using to helps narrow troubleshooting a bit, what OS are you running?

  • Hp deskjet 1510 series won't print

    We mloved recently to  la Gomera (Canarian isle)  and there I bought a hp deskjet 1510. It won't print when connected to my lap top, also HP with Windows vista, although it is connected, is on, and is the default printer. I tried everything the print and scan doctor suggested (like switch off fire wall, chekc print ooler, remove and reinstall driver and software  etc) and everything else I found in support from HP. it still does not print. When connected to our other lap top, also HP but with windows 7, it works fine. The only thing I managed to print is a diagnostic page but it give only numbers and letters like SN = CN39a19mmp05yr 21 PG =81 12 PER = -5yr 22 FB = 0/0 etc. Tjat does nog help me :-(.  does anybody know how to solve this?

  • Deskjet 3050 Won't Print Wirelessly

    Hi there,
    My new all in one 3050 won't print for me. It is "Offline" in the network page. I feel I have explored every avenue and it will still not print. The wireless network configuration page I printed says everything passed. The home network disagnostic tool says "software missing" after i click test connection. The print diagnostic tool fails on connectivity everytime. I can connect to the printer ip 192.168.1.3 in the browser 95% of the time but not always. My router is a Zyxel P-660HW-T1 v3. I'm really close to tears with frustration, I'm quite computer and networking savvy but I cannot fix this. please help, I'd be eternally grateful.
    Kind Regards,
    Larry.

  • Remote laptop won't print to new HP4622 wireless printer

    My new HP 4622 won't print from wife's laptop (Compaq Presario CQ-60-224NR w/ Windows Vista) in another part of the house on my home Centurylink DSL network with very good connectivity.  I have the printer installed at my desktop (Gateway Microsoft XP SP3) and it prints fine from the desktop.  Does the printer software also need to be installed on the laptop?  I sent a .jpg file to the printer from the laptop and it printed one line of unicode? code per page until I cancelled the job from the print queue. I have gone thru the installation guide a couple of times and nothing is fixed.  Test results say that everything passed and install is successful.  I downloaded and tried the print doctor wizard and it says no problems found.  I have McAfee total protection running, could there be a firewall problem?  I'm not sure about enabling ports or that sort of thing.  I dumped a perfectly good Lexmark X7170 all-in-one because it wasn't wireless and we couldn't get it configured to print peer-to-peer.  Now I have a new wireless printer and con't get to print remotely either.  Hope you can help.  Let me know if you need more info.  Thanks.

    Hi Ken,
    I would recommend giving the printer a static IP address for the wireless connection (not USB):
    - Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
    - Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
    - Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
    - On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
    - Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
    - Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
    - Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS. This is Google DNS. You can choose another external DNS if you wish.
    - Click 'Apply'.
    Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
    After this you will have delete and re-add the printer on your computer. Do it this way:
    0. Go to Start > Control Panel > Devices & Printers and delete all instances of the printer.
    1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing. Get its IP from a Network Test printed from the front panel of the printer.
    2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Devices & Printers.
    3. Click the Add a printer
    4. Select Local printer
    5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
    6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
    If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
    9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
    11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
    12. Click Finish.
    If you're still experiencing issues try changing the channel on your router to 11 and the encyption to WPA.

  • Won't Print to Kodak 1400 Professional - "Printing" never ends

    Hi - Using MacBook Pro 17" and Aperture. OS 10.4.x. Out of box, new Kodak 1400 Professional Printer worked fine, and printed several great pictures. A week later, I was unable to print anything at all. Printer Window shows "PRINTING" and the twirling barber pole thermometer, but it NEVER prints however long I wait and no error message.
    I've opened and closed printer, restarted printer and computer, checked that the firmware is up to date, re-set the paper in tray, etc. ALSO, it won't print JPGS from Preview, or apparently anything.
    What could have happened?
    Fix?

    I have no idea if this will help anyone, but it helped me. I had my Kodak 1400 working with no problems for quite a while. I never really printed much, but I did now and then. About two months ago, I ran out of paper and didn't purchase any more for a while. I finally got my two packs (so I could get the third free!) about two weeks ago. I now have two clients who need prints, a total of about 85 8x10s.
    So, I setup the printer, installed the driver, and started going about my business. Setup the prints, got it all rolling, and prepared to run the first print through as I've found the first print on a new ribbon is a dud due to dust. Nothing happened. It went to "printing" and stared at me as though it were as dumbfounded I asked it to print as I was that it WASN'T printing.
    That was yesterday. Since then, I've removed the driver about a bajillion times. Googled this, FAQ'd that, held my tongue appropriately, used different USB cables, different USB ports, removed the other printer, blahdy blahdy blah. Then, this afternoon while I was somewhere between awake and sleep, it hit me: why not try an older driver. I thought about it, and realized that since the last time I was using the 1400 successfully, I'd reinstalled OSX. What were the odds that when I downloaded the driver the last time, I downloaded the "wrong" driver and got the old one (1.0.2) instead of the NEW correct driver, 2.0.0.
    So, I removed the old driver from everywhere I could. Restarted the computer. Installed 1.0.2, cliked print, and felt my heart sink as the red Error light blinked intermittently with the "Media" light. Shot through the heart... then, all of a sudden, it sucked in some paper, and started printing! Problem solved!
    So, if you still can't print, try using 1.0.2. It might not work, but if you can't print with 2.0.0, what harm can it do? NONE! Muhahahaha. I feel so adventurous for using an old driver. (yes, this is what now counts as "adventure" for me... now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.)
    Hope that works for someone!

  • Won't print to photo tray, but will print test page

    I have most current Vista driver, but can't print to photo tray.  It won't pull the tray in, although it works great when printing test page.  I tried various page/paper settings and "photo tray" light settings, but still won't print from Vista.
    Tried 8250 printer properties, changing paper settings, but can't recognize settings, even though it sees the paper and prints the test page.  Seemed to work just fine with XP.

    Plugged back into Vista, fooled with the settings, then it worked!
    I don't know what exactly fixed it...
