Reduction level in planned orders

Hi,
Few part# are having planned orders with reduction level 2 even though there is sufficient time for production.  Say for eg: parts are supposed to be delivered on 29/09/2009 it is taking reduction level 2 even though it has an opportunity to start earlier.  I have updated the material masters with lead time from routing and these changes are clearly visible in Work scheduling view in material master.  Not all the part# are having this problem, very few are having this problem.
Pl help,
with regards
deepak

Hello Bramahankar,
Thanks for your kind response.  I would like to explain little more in detail, the problem i have is like this.
1.  Parts are supposed to be delivered on 29/09/2009, so the system based on lead time required and backward scheduling few part# are having start date as 18/09/2009 and few may plus or minus 3 days to this.
2.  Out of 20 part# 4 part# are having reduction level 2 and its starting very late, say like the the start date is 19.09.2009 even though it can start 2 or 3 days early and avoid reduction level 2, but the system isn't doing this.
I have tried all sort of things like updating lead time in material master, re run MRP but its not helping out.
Could you pl help.
With regards
deepak

  • Planned order reduction in REM scenario

I havent worked on REM scenario before (all my exp is in discrete) so my question might be quite basic...
    lets say I have 3 planned orders po1, po2, po3 for a material running on 3 lines.
    po1 - 100 quantity
    po2 - 150 quantity
    po3 - 100 quantity
I have done scheduling using MF50 and schedule is released to the SFC.
now, when I go to MFBF screen and just enter the material number and post backflush + gr (which is the normal case almost all rem clients do, if i am not wrong) for quantity 75, which planned order will be reduced? how does system determine which planned order to be reduced? is there any logic?

    Hello
The following note explains which orders are selected for reduction during backflush:
1932420 - Reduction Period for planned orders in RE
You can find the relevant customizing for planned order reduction on the repetitive manufacturing profile (transaction OSP2). See the screenshot for details:
Planned orders are sorted for reduction on program LBARMFCV, on the following piece of code:
    SORT PLAFX BY SORTFLG PEDTR.
It means that, if there are several orders selected according to the customizing, system will select the order to be reduced according to the finish date.

  • Planned order confirmation

I have created a new material with REM activation..
I have created a planned order for 1000 qty for the material..
When i confirm even a partial amount of the planned order for eg 100 qty, then in the system i am not able to see the planned order again.. I guess fullly confirmed planned orders will not exist in the system.. But this is partial only, then why the planned order is not seen in the system.. Can anyone tell me what s the problem and how to clear that..
And a very important information for me,where can i find the components that are issued for a planned order..Please tell me is thr any reports for this..

    HI
Please check  REM profile in OSP2 > Control data 2 for Planned order reduction> Select reduce planned order assigned to version and also reduction period 0
Check also after running MRP MF27 should be executed so that reports MCP6/MCP8 get updated to see GR agianst Planned order
    check and revert

  • Missing Planned Orders

    R/3 4.7 - Long term planning
MS01 is not creating planned orders as I would expect for approx one-hundred materials (of thousands).  -- Plant level
But when I run MS02 -- Material level, then planned orders are created.
I need this to work at the plant level.  MS01 and MSBT (nightly batch job).
    Thank you for solutions!
    Best regards,

    Jim,
    Check for planning file entry.

  • Planned order not getting generated at plant level

    Hi experts,
When i run MRP for a particular plant in T- code (MD01) Planned order is not getting generated but when MRP is done against a material in T - code (MD02) in the same plant planned order gets generated... Is there any customizing  to generate planned order in plant level.....

    Dear Joseph,
No it is not recommended. only in emergance cases this will be done
Usually in MDRE and MDAB will be scheduled before MRP run at background for inconistancies in planning file enries
So the above said t-codes will take care of the same

  • Collective Planned orders Scheduling for lower level orders with reference to the Superior order

    Hi All,
    Collective planned order scheduling.
I have been trying to reschedule the superior planned order and i was expecting the lower level planned orders to reschedule based on the superior planned order.
    My problem is
when i try to reschedule the superior planned order the system is not rescheduling the lower level planned orders.
For example if i change the basic finish date of superior planned order as 30/09/2014 and reschedule the planned order it is only scheduling the header planned order and the lower level planned order is not scheduling.
Could some one tell me why this is not happenning at planned order level.
As the rescheduling of collective order will work at production order level but for some reason it is not happening at planned order level(as there is no option available to do so).
Please give your thoughts on this asap.
    Mahee.

    Hello Mahee
Please observe that your system is working as designed. Planned orders are scheduled independently, even when they are part of a network/collective order. Note 152319 explains the planned order scheduling in detail and it provides the following information:
    * No scheduling of overall networks is executed although a directly manufactured component is assigned.
Note that no scheduling of the overall network is executed for planned orders. For the components requirements dates are determined. In order to cover them, planned orders are created in the next MRP run. Since the requirements are not managed using the exact time, the results of the planned order scheduling and of a scheduling of the overall network of the converted collective order can differ.

  • MPS run, planned orders were created for all levels ?

    Hello PP members
    I ran a small scenario
material    MRP Type     Low Level    SG           M/T Type
    A      M0         000             40              FERT
    B               PD              001              40             HALB
    c               PD              002               10             ROH
Maintained PIRs(MD61) for material A, and ran MD41( Single Item Multi level Planning)
As material A is an MPS item, I was expecting that it should create planned orders only for material A, but in this MPS run it created planned orders for material B & C. (Looked into MD04, where I see planned orders were created
    for all the levels)
As per the MPS run, it will plan only for one level of BOM (in this scenario for material A)
Any suggestions, why planned orders were created for material B & C
    please clarify

    Just check
System must have created a dependent requirement planned order and not the planned order for requirement you put in demand management for B and C
i.e. if you enter a demand in MD61 for B and C, run the transaction, system will not consider this requirement during MPS run. MPS run will consider the requirement if the requirement for the child is comming from parement where parent is MPS item.
Hence you need to run MRPm for B amd C if teh requirement(not dependdent requirement from A) is to be considered.
    I hope you are clear

  • Use of Planning Table (MF50) in Capacity Levelling with Production Order

    Hello Experts
I wish to know that is it possible to perform Capacity Levelling in planning table (tcode MF50) with respect to a Production Order ? It is known that MF50 is used in Repetitive manufacuring to do the capacity levelling with respect to Planned orders. But in our discrete manufacturing scenario we want to use planning table to the capacity levelling with respect toa Production order.
Any clue or help pertaining to this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Jayanta

    Dear ,
MF50 is does the cacapcity leveling based on mateail -run schedule order (planned order ) where as in discrete manufacturing , when you run the MRP ,  MRP system assume Infinite Capacity  and schedule the order as per your selection in MD02(2,1,3,3,2)  and then you convert those planned order to Production order .Here you checkied the Capacity in Production Order level .
In stanadrd SAP  , it is not possible to use MF50 for discrete production order.
In discrete order or process order ,  do the caapcity leveling , there are seperate planning table available based on Over all Capacity Profile and Schedule type .This can be done  in following way :
    1.CM31-Production Order Wise -Tabular
    2.CM23-PO wise -Graphical
    3.MC88: Ruf Cut Planning
    Work Centre Wise : CM21 -Graphical , CM22-Tabular Planning Table .
Make sure the below set up before  you carry on the Capacity leveling :
    .Define time profile in OPD2.
Define the strategy profile in OPDB
Define the Overall profiles in OPD0.
In OPJK  maintained check capacity with SAPSFCG013 profile for your production order type
In OPU3 , scheduleing parametre s: Generate Capacity , Scheduling Type , Automatic Log ,Start date in Past as per your req.
In OPJU , chekc the contol tab of the scheduleing as per OPU3
In OPKP- Production scheduling paranmeters assing the overall capacity profile -SAPSFCG013  with finte scheduling tick.
    Master Data :
1.Materials Master define the Production scheduler and production scheduling profile
2.Work Center - Define the capcity planner group, activate checkbox Relevant for Finite sceduling,on the capacity header define the shift timings, break timings and unit of measure,no of individual capaity, enter formula for scheduling in capacity view.
3.Routing - enter the values for the standard values. Use control key with scheduling.
Hope this will help you .
    Regards

  • SG:50, Cannot convert planned orders to prod orders at BOM component level

Test scenario for Strategy Group 50 (Planning without final Assembly)
    Product Structure
    Material-->  SG50.00 > FERT> (Strategy Group: 50)
    Material---> SG50.02 --> HALB --->(Strategy Group: 40)
    Material---> SG50.04 ---> ROH --->(Strategy Group: Blank)
Maintained PIRs and Ran MRP at the header level, Planned orders are created
with order type VP at levels of BOM structure. Thus cannot covert planned orders
to production orders without having sales order.
But my understanding of Strategy Group 50, is BOM components can be produced before hand (i.e.
before sales orders are recieved ). Now planned orders with order type VP not able to convert
planned orders to prod orders at BOM component level

    Stuti/Prasobh:
Thanks for your inputs, it answers my question
Intially maintained Individual/Collective indicator to "2" at header level (FERT), which is why all the planned orders are created with order type VP
Changed the Individual/Collective indicator to "blank " at header level (FERT), and maintained Individual/Collective indicator  to "2" at component level
Reran the MRP (MDO2), with the following settings --> Delete and Recreate planning data and Check mark on  Also plan on unchanged components
Able to see planned orders at component level with order type LA

  • Planned Orders -Order level & Order path fields

    Dear all,
In Planned Orders , in the components tab , the following fields are assigned/populated with some values by the system.
    Order level
    Order path
    Assy Order Level
    Assy Order path
Please clarify , on what basis or what is the logic behind this ?
    Thanks,
    Sheik

    Hi Sheik,
I can't see in the online display of a planned order any of the fields that you have mentioned.
Nevertheless, these fields exist in RESB table; in my understanding they are used by SAP inner logic, and am not sure that they make any sense for other use.

    Mario

  • Capacity planning at Planned order level

    Dear All,
In my current scenario i'm able to see load of process orders against the workcenter in CM01. My requirement is to do capacity levelling at the planned order level.
I have created Production version also & attached to the planned order. Still in CM01  no load or planned order is shown on workcenter.
when i convert it into process order then it shows load / process order.
pl.let me know how i can do the capacity planning at planned order level.
    Thanx & regards,
    dev

    Hi,
In MD12 when click on Go to > Capacity Levelling >
Error Message : No work centers with capacity requirements were found
I have given formula : SAP006 in capacity & Relevant to finite schedulling indicator is also active.
what may be the cause ?
    thanx & regards,

  • Costing affect with MRP at planned order level and after production order

    Dear all,
How the costing affect with MRP at planned order level and after production order completion?
Edited by: Maulik on Jun 24, 2009 1:59 PM

    Dear Maulik,
check Mr. Vinod's inputs abt costing
    1. Maintain following master data:
MM01 Material Master with Costing and accounting view. Make sure all the cost Std, Moving avg etc is maintained along with valuation class in Accounting view 1. In costing tab pls make sure "with qty structure" and "Material Origin" are ticked.
CS01 BOM with components marked with costing relevance in Status/Long Text Tab. Also check all the qty are correct.
CR01 Work Center in Basic data tab maintain standard value key sau SAP1 and in costing tab maintain the workcenter, activity type and formulas (Usually standard formulas like for Machine Hours SAP006, Labour SAP007, Setup Activity SAP005 is used).
KL01 Cretae activity types, in basic data tab maintain ATyp Category AS "1" and cost element (as provided by your FI Guy).
KP26 Activity pricing, here with the combination of Activity type and the cost center you assign price to the activity.
    2. SPRO Activity
Maintain Costing sheet IMGControllingProd cost controllingProd Cost PlanningBasic settingoverheadsdefine costing sheet.
OKKN Define costing variant, you define costing type (In the costing type, you define the purpose of a material cost estimate by specifying, for example, which field in the material master record the costing results can be transferred to like std price, moving avg etc), Valuation Variant (defines how the prices are prioratized), date control and transfer structure.
    3. Costing Process Flow:
    1. CK11N CREATE COSTING RUN
    2. CK24 CREATE PRICE UPDATE (You Mark and release the prce to be updated)
    4. COSTING VARIANT WRT PP
    1. OPL1 DEFINE COSTING VARIANT WRT PP
    2. OKK4 or OPN2 DEFINE VALUATION VARIANT
    3. OKK1 or OPM1 DEFINE COSTING TYPE
    4. OPL8 ORDERTYPE DEPENDENT PARAMETER (assign the above creted costing type for both planned and actual)
Hope this will throw some light on product costing.
    Regards

  • Auto-release Planned Orders is not creating WIP job after zero on-hand (i.e. Level Below  safety stock)

    Hi
The time release fence in defined at item level as 1 day also safety stock level is defined in inventory safety stock form.
Once MRP launch it should create the discrete job against item as zero onhand for that item but MRP workbench is showing planned order for the item instead of creating item.

  • ASCP: How do I get the list of 1st level planned orders using msc_full_pegging table

How do I get the list of 1st level planned orders using msc_full_pegging table, is any one having the script.

Do you mean supply_type? If so, yes it will be in pegging table as supply_type or otherwise you can join this table with msc_supplies by joining transaction_id column and get the order_type from that which will be the supply type.
