Reg : Initial configuration for SLD

HI all ,
In the netweaver administration portal we have a option for deploy and change .when we click on that we have some options for initial configuration.Now the doubt that i have is that we have installed netweaver java stack on a server .We have configured local sld on that .We want to connect to a seperate ECC 6.0 system.That system doesnt have a sld configured for it .So we want to bring that system into our sld.I have configured NWA_01 i.e .configuration for local sld and NWA_03 i.e. create a connection to the SLD and Setting required authorizations for SLD (CIM client settings) in netweaver administrator portal.Do i need to configure only these or anything else other than this .One more thing is that when i enter the netweaver administrator portal i am getting these error messages.
System Landscape Directory is not accessible
Only local system can be administered
Any pointers regarding this.Thanx in advance .

The java stack is installed as standalone or ABAP+Java?
You need to maintian SLD server details in RZ70 on ECC server and test if data is sent successfully. Check for RFCs SLD_UC/SLC_NUC in ECC.
Also, check if SLD server is running.

Need Help regarding initial configuration for distributed cache

I am new to tangosol and trying to setup a basic partitioned distributed cache ,But I am not being able to do so
Here is my Scenario,
My Application DataServer create the instance of Tangosolcache .
I have this config.xml set in my machine where my application start.

Now on the same machine I start a different client using the command

The problem I am facing is
1)If I do not start the client even then my application server cache the data .Ideally my config.xml setting is set to
distributed so under no case it should cache the data in its local ...
2)I want to bind my differet cache on different process on different machine .
say
for e.g
machine1 should cache cache1 object
machine2 should cache cache2 object
and so on .......but i could not find any documentation which explain how to do this setting .Can some one give me example of
how to do it ....
3)I want to know the details of cache stored in any particular node how do I know say for e.g machine1 contains so and so
cache and it corresponding object values ... etc .....

After digging into the wiki lot i found out something related to KeyAssociation I think what I need is something like implementation of KeyAssociation and that
store the particular cache type object on particular node or group of node
Say for e,g I want to have this kind of setup
Cache1-->node1,node2 as I forecast this would take lot of memory (So i assign this jvms like 10 G)
Cache2-->node3 to assign small memory (like 2G)
and so on ...
From the wiki documentation i see

A key-associator may be used to indicate related entries, the partitioned cache service will ensure that associated entries reside on the same partition, and thus on the same cluster node. Do someone have any example of explaining how this is done in the simplest way ..

I started having problems with updating some applications because I threw mistake my Id Apple and password, restoring the password and continue without solution, finish restoring manufacturing the device, and now asks me to set enter the Id Apple with which I set the same, the problem is that I do not know because I'd gift my father about 2 years ago, and does not remember. What I can do?

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

since i am new in ACS 5.1 configuration , I need so information to go ahead to configure ACS 5.1.
which EAP method to use for wireless client authentication ? what is the best practice ?
I have gone through some cisco documents and it shows that best practice is to configure PEAP but for the same , I need to install certificate in ACS server as well in client PC. is that so ?
I have no clear picture for this certificate ?
from where i can get this certificate or do i need to purchase this certificate separately from cisco. how to install it in ACS server ?

If you do not require to trust the server certificate, you can simply disable the option of server certificate validation.

UCS C210 - Initial Configuration using DHCP

Hello All,
I'm trying to do the initial configuration for a C210 but we have no keyboard and monitor. So the idea was to use the default configuration on the Shared LOM, using DHCP. But i can't get an ip address.
We connected the server to the switch core, that is the DHCP server. The switch port is configured correctly. I can see the mac-address being identified by the switch, the LOM on the server is up, the switch port is up but cant get ip address.
So we are stuck right now, trying to get a monitor and keyboard.
Any clue on how to solve that?

For initial configuration i always use DHCP, this is my tool
For 1or2 Cisco UCS C-series if more then 3 just add the switch
1. laptop
2. Cat6 cable (cross/straight its ok
3. tftpd32
step:
1. plug cat6 cable to laptop NIC port and to 1GB LOM C210 (dont power the c210)
2. run tftpd32
3. configure DHCP server
4. configure your laptop NIC with static ip address (same subnet with DHCP pool)
5. turn off firewall on laptop
6. power on C210
7. open tftpd32 and monitoring the IP address..
if c210 already power up or didnt get the ip address you should unplug the power cable and plug again and power on the c210..
you must plug the cat 6 to 1GB LOM (port 1 or 2 its OK but dont plug to MGMT port)

CTS+ Configuration in PI 7.4 for SLD specific data

I am doing CTS+ configuration for PI System SLD Vesrion 7.4 to transport J2ee as well as SLD specific data through transports. My CTS server is Solman System.
I have created a CTS user in Solman System and in PI NWA I have defined destination to point to Solman System. But i am running into several errors.
Could anyone please help me what user authorization are required for CTS user in Solman to transfer Non-Abap Data and SLD specific data through transports.
Its very urgent.

The scenario which i am planning to do, describes how the Custom RFC client application in SAP R/3 System invokes a free Web service (that is hosted over the internet) using SAP XI. For our demo purpose, we have used a free web service available on the Internet.
In this scenario we will be using GetQuote method of Web service DelayedStockQuote. This method retrieves the Stock quote for the given Stock symbol. The method GetQuote has an input that takes in two parameters Stock Symbol and License Key and returns the following information.

In this scenario, I planned to create two mappings, first between RFC Request to SOAP Request and second between SOAP Response to RFC Response .
Adapter in sender communication channel is RFC.(RFC Protocol)
Adapter in receiver communication channel is SOAP.(HTTP Protocol)

On testing this scenario, In the Sender R/3 system we have to Execute the Report program we have created earlier. When the program is executed with Stock symbol it should get the details of that stock symbol from the Web service.
My question here is what would be the sld configuration for webservice.whether it is a Java WAS or third party.If it is a third party or java WAS,what would be the system name and host name.
Any clarification from you all is welcome and will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
I would suggest you is to use third party. It is a web service, and does not matter the technology behind it (if it is java, abap, .net, cobol, no difference! it will be described by a wsld).
System name and host name doesn't matter too, you will not use this information in runtime, and you will specify host name and so at integration directory. You can make your standard on it, for example, put the name as DelayedStockQuote and host as http://ws.cdyne.com.

SLD configuration for DXI / PXI technical systems

Hello,
we have a problem when transporting XI configuration objects from XI dev to XI prod. The transport objects arrive in XI prod, but the name of the business system (for the SAP backend system) is not converted from dev business system (T01CLNT010) to prod business system (P01CLNT01) although the transport target for T01CLNT010 business system was set correctly (we are using business system groups Dev and Prod). And the "related integration server" for T01CLNT010 was also set correctly to DXICLNT010.
But then I noticed that the technical system for the DXI (XI Dev) is configured as follows:
TMS Domain ("DOMAIN_PXI") and TMS Transport Group Name GROUP_PXI ("GROUP_PXI") have the same values as PXI. Is that correct ?? We are using file transport, not CMS.
Another strange effect is that when I set the group in business system DXICLNT010 to Dev, that is also applied to business system PXICLNT010 ! Which is of course not what I want.
I assume I have to associate DXICLNT010 to Dev and PXICLNT010 to Prod, same as for T01CLNT010 / P01CLNT010. Correct ? Or does the group in the XI business systems not matter ?
Can anyone post an example of a working SLD configuration with two XI system dev and prod ? What values do I have to use in the XI technical and business systems, so that the transport will work ?

There's obviously something wrong in the SLD configuration for the exchange infrastructure systems. The error you're describing (one system pointing to another) usually occurs when one system is generated through homogeneous system copy of another system (was that your case?). I've seen that behaviour once and they corrected it by manually deleting the exchange infrastructure systems from SLD and creating them again from scratch.
Anyway, I highly recommend you to get an expert NW Basis consultant to realize a check in it before you proceed any further.
Aside of that, you're correct in your assumptions.
Your config in SLD should be like:
DEV_GROUP:
- DXI
- T01
PRD_GROUP:
- PXI
- P01
It's always 1 XI BS per group.
Also, if you use separate SLDs for XI Dev and XI Prd, you have to make sure that this configuration is reflected in both SLDs. So, if you make it one SLD instance, you must generate a delta export zip file from the SLD where you did the configuration and import this zip file in the other SLD instance.
If you use a central SLD, then it's not necessary.

The version is 7.0. I skip this step and finished with sucess. No run the step:

If you are installing any component of 'NetWeaver', you should register it with Central SLD server of your landscape.
Same case with Trex too, that's why you have that post installation step there. However, it is not a 'Mandatory' step which needs to be done immediately after installation. But in future, you might require this. So you may proceed to do it after proper understanding of what is an 'SLD' even !

WLAN controller 4400 series, use service-port for initial configuration, IP address?

I just got a new Cisco Wlan controller 4402 from somebody else but I can't find a suitable console cable( DB-9 console on the controller) , I googled everywhere and I read I could use service port to do the initial configuration, the CISCO FAQ says initial IP for service port is 192.168.1.1, I tried use Cross-over cable to connect a PC to the service port directly and use a normal cable with a switch to connect the service port and a PC, both of the connections do not work out: from the PC, I can't ping 192.168.1.1 ( PC IP changed to 192.168.1.20) , nor can I go http://192.168.1.1 . The service port Link is solid GREEN and ACT is solid GREEN, the PC NIC says Connected with 100 Mbps , so I'm wondering the IP address of service port is not 192.168.1.1? Please help.
Any sussgestions and advices are greatly appreciated.

plz connect service port to the switch port that should be configured as access.
connect a pc (ip address - as u mentioned) to the other port of the switch. both wlc and pc should be in same vlan (create a temperary vlan).
try https to access the wlc.

Errors solman_setup initial configuration in StartSLD Configuration step

Getting an authentication error when trying to sign into SAP netWeaver using the solman_admin account created in the first step of the initial configuration. I tried going back and creating another user and setting a new password but am still getting the same User authentication failed. I am able to sign in as the J2EE_ADMIN user id here and continue the configuration but get errors on step 66 of 137 Maintain SLD data supplier user. Error: Name or password is incorrect. I am able to click on in the error box the Step: Maintain SLD data supplier user which takes me into the J2EE Engine Useradministration. In here I do not see the solman_admin userid if I try to create it I get the error Current suer has user creation permissions in the UME, but cannot create users in the back-end system (data source). The original and possibly untranslated message was: "No active writeable datasource found for the user creation, check your Persistence Configuration."
I do find my SLD data supplier user SLDDSUSER but am not sure what to fix here for step 66 noted above.
Within Abap I am able to sign in as solman_admin successfully

What role or group do I need to give the J2ee_admin id to allow me to get around the error when clicking on create user in the UME

In ABAP I have given the j2ee_admin sap_all so I am assuming there is a role or group that j2ee_admin has to have in the UME?

Fresh Netweaver 73 with BPM and BPR - initial configuration

We installed a Netweaver 73 Java Only with the UT types EP, BPM&BPR, BI Java and NWDI.
We are looking to the initial wizard configuration tool for BPM, but we did find it.
We expect to find something like the wizard for the PI configuration.

NEW REPOSITORY INSTALLATION ERROR!!
I want to install a new Repository using Oracle9iR9.2.0.1 and iDS10g on windowsXP Professional the same machine.
After running all the SQL scripts ( ckqa,ckvalqa,ckcreate,ckreport) with success to installing a new Repository on my Database using "the Scripts Method",I start the Repository Administration Utility( RAU) to scheck the priveleges and so on.
After pressing the Install button in the RAU:
-I take public synonyms
-I scheck the box for "Support Designer Objects", then
-The Repository size is Medium
-I have not change the defauft Tablespace of the Repository_Manager names TEMPORARY_TABLES to store the index and table of System Data....Diagram Data.

When I read the Help of the Error the
CAUSE was: Failed to find sufficient contiguous Space to allocate INITIAL extend for Segment being created.
ACTION: Use ALTER TABLESPACE ADD DATAFILE to add additional space to the tablespace or retry with a smaller Value for initial.
I then try to resolve it by schecking and changing the Values of INITIAL_VALUE and NEXT_VALUE in the ckparams.txt to 500k.I change the Values of TEMPORARY_TABLES(10214 to 51200k) and TEMPORARY_INDEXES from (20000 to 100000k).Then I run the scripts @ckparams.txt, @ckvalqa, @ckcreate but
-pressing the Scheck Privileges Button on the RAU still give me 106k for the INITIAL_ and NEXT_VALUE.
-And the installato still stop with the same Error.
Question: How schould I resolve this Configuration?

You are running into database errors. You should refer to the database documentation on how to adjust the size your tablespaces. The online Designer installation guide will advise you as to the sizes of tablespaces you require.
