Regarding download customer.fmb and order.fmb

Hello,
Can you please let me know from where can i download customer.fmb and order.fmb for oracle forms 6i.
Please explain that when do we use set_BLOCK_PROPERTY, i have gone through documents there are few examples and explaination of syntax but still i'm unable to understand when it to be use in menu or forms.

Then we need to know what document you are reading so we know what files it references. If the document is a propietary document, you may have to go to the author of the document to get the files. For example, if you are studying from a copy of an Oracle Training book, you will need to contact Oracle to get copies of the sample forms. i got the pdf from internet the name of document is "*Oracle Forms Developer Build Internet Applications 2-Volume 1 Instructor Guide.PDF 40034GC10 Production 1.0 May 2000 M011398*" and here is no link to attach the file so i'm unable to send you that document.
In above document, i'm going through " *Practice 1 and 1 Create a new menu module.*"

a Using the following screenshot as a guideline, create a new menu
module called M_SUMMITXX where XX is your student course
number.
here is figure regarding with menu editor, we have to followup to that figure

e Run and test your ORDERS form.

a Open the CUSTOMERS form module. Save as CUSTGXX where
XX is your student course number.
b Copy the EDIT_MENU menu from your M_SUMMIT menu
module to your CUSTOMERS form. Attach this pop-up menu to the
Comments item.
c Save and compile the form module. Deploy your form to the Web to
test.

For more information about the SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY search the Forms Help system; click the Index Tab and then type SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY and open the "SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY built-in" topic. As you review this help article it is helpful to have the property pallet open for a data block. Then you can select a property and press F1 to get detailed information about the property.i want to ask that when do we need to use SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY. in which case, because i also read to forms6i.pdf *"Form Builder Reference, Volume 1 Part No: A73074-01"* but i'm unable to understand that how to use and when to use.
there is syntax given only but not given the situation.

    Probably best to ask in the CS forum. If you still have the software keys for CS4, then upgrading to CS6 should work, but you need to check the upgrade policy on the Adobe Store to be sure. Generally you only need the software key to do the upgrade. If you do not have the key, then you may be up a creek unless you registered (as you should). If you registered, Adobe can likely help on getting you the keys needed for the upgrade. I suggest you confirm this in the CS forum.

  • How to capture ship method and freight account in customer master and order

    Hello
    In the customer master, I would like to maintain fields like freight vendor, freight account no and preferred ship method (Like Fedex Ground, UPS next day, etc), and have them copy over to the sales order. I know we can define freight vendor in partner function, but I do not see anything in the shipping view of the customer master similar to this. We are not using the transportation module, and are on ECC 6.0.
    Is my only option to define these in the text fields or under additional data of customer master and have text determination carry this over?
    Im curious as to how other companies have configured this, any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Ken,
    You may use the reserve fields of the customer master at general data or sales area data.
    In customer master data, choose menu: Extras --> Additional data
    To use a reserve field (attribute 1) of the customer master proceed as follows:
    1. Change the short descriptions of the data elements KATR1 by using the SAP enhancement and activate the data element.
    2. Maintain the entity tables TVK1 with the values.
       "01" Fedex Ground
       "02" UPS next day
       etc.
    3. Use the same procedure for the remaining reserve fields KATR2-KATR9.
    Then continue with enhancement of copying the customer master fields into the sales document either VBAK, VBAP, or VBKD.

    Goods can be issued in a number of ways, in reference to many types of documents.  In each case, the GI date and order date are found in different places.
    Please elaborate your request.

  • Invoices, Customer Statements and Order Confirmation

    If one customer wants these things sent to three different places how and where do I look to configure this. i.e. They want their invoice to arrive in an office in Indiana, and the confirmation in Michigan.
    Any help would be great.

  • Time series objects and order objects on what condtion we need to use

    Dear Experts ,
    I have question regarding Time series objects and order objects
    from my understanding
    TIme series objects the data is stored in time buckets without
    reference to orders.
    Order objects the data is stored as orders. Key figure data is
    then saved as orders if semantic 000 is entered in the detail view of the key
    figures in the planning area.
    my question is when to use the option 1 and when should not use
    same for option 2

    Hi,
    This depends on the requirement you have also the application you are using.Like DP key figures are generally time series since in DP you do not need order numbers for example for history sales the requirement is the quantity period wise but not the order numbers.
    Again in SNP the distribution and planned quantities are required order wisecoz you need the order numbers you execute the same in ECC system or for Pegging purposes.
    Now the safety stock requirement can not be at order series since this is with relevent to some periods.
    So overall i can say this depends on the requirement of the kay figure.

    Not sure if this is possible via Customization or not but you can try the user-exits or Routines for the Sales Order program for this
    You need to change the include FV45C102 (assuming you have copied standard order and the copy controls). ABAP team should be able to make changes to this routine and achieve your requirement.
    In VTAA, after choosing the Source and Target order type and choosing the right Quatation item, check the routine for 'Bus.data/item compl.' and it will be what has been mentioned above.

    Hi...
    The Customer sents the requirement ( Like specially manufactured products as per the customer specifications) which can be entered in the form an Inquiry. With ref. to this inquiry a quotation will be sent to the customer. The customer places an order thru document with reference to this quotation.
    Now the company processes the order and manufactures the Product and delivers the Product to the Customer and recieves the payment.

    I've created customer conditions that may apply to a particular material when creating a purchase order in
    conditions folder but it has as sequence fields two new fields that I've added to KOMG via one of its includes.  So, when it's time to analize which conditions may apply to calculate price, SAP doesn't find this customer fields and its value to make the proper analysis and decide if they must be included in the conditions list to calculate the final price.
    What do I need to do in order to have it included in the conditions folder? Any ideas?

    I hope that I dont forget any step:
    1.You need an additional field from customer, e.g. LPRIO from KNVV table. Then do an append in KOMK, and you must call the field with ZZ, so, the name of field must be ZZLPRIO.
    2.In condition, fields for conditions (IMG, SD, conditions) and create a new entry with this field. Then you can create a new table for conditions with this field (V/03).
    3.After this table is created you can add it to an access with V/07.
    4. Finally, if you want that the system determine conditions you need that the system find this field in KOMK when SAP runs the functions of pricing. So in report MV45AFZZ.(open it wiht SSCR is it isnt open yet) in subroutine userexit_pricing_prepare_tkomk, you can write this code:
      tkomk-zzlprio = vbap-lprio.
    Set a break point and debug it (perhaps lprio is populated in another internal table, eg: xvbap, etc...) while you create a sales order.
    I forget in my first reply. Perhaps the data is from customer tables, but it is populated in data of items in sales order, so perhaps you need do the append in KOMP, and in this case you must use the subroutine userexit_pricing_prepare_tkomp. So for field LPRIO
    tkomp-zzlprio = vbap-lprio,

    I believe you are referring to thumbnail image rectangles as customers on page ? not exactly customer database ?
    You can add rectangle with different effects with mouse rollover state and regarding adding new ones , you would need to do that manually in design mode .

  • Why compilation on  custom .fmb files was needed...???

    Hi,
    On client site there are two env: 1) development, 2) test.
    On Both of them exactly the same EBS version, same patches on the same OS and version is used...
    However, on the first env the compilation of custom .fmb files was not needed whereas on the second was needed...!!!!
    Can you give a logical explanation...????
    Note: the ebs version is 11.5.10, the OS is RHEL 4.6

    Hello Kumar,
    User authorization is within Basis expertise, but if you want to get some feel for what authorization objects are take a look at trans SUIM.  But basically how it works is for a given transaction the level of check is specified -- in this case Sales Office.  Based on values stored in that field the user is allowed or not allowed transaction access. 
    So you determine whatever the needed matrix is for authorization restriction (i.e. user A can access Sales Office xxx, user B can access Sales Office yyy & so on).  Also give Basis the transaction codes to restrict, along w/the technical table/field for each (like from customer master - KNVV-VKBUR, from sales doc level VBAK-VKBUR). Basis sets up the authorization object w/assignments to the users accordingly.
    This is standard SAP & your Basis support should be familiar with it.  Good luck.

    We have requirement to create separate planned orders for customer demand and separate planned orders for forecast.
    I mean one planned order should not cover both the forecast and the Sales order quantity; there should be separate orders for the two.
    We are using SNP heuristic for planning.
    For Eg in a bucket :-
    Forecast = 100
    Sales Order = 40
    Lot size = Lot for Lot
    Planning Strategy = 20
    We Need:
    Planned order 1 = 40
    Planned order 2 = 60

    Unfortunately, SAP itself says that one should not use 30 with SNP. Quoting from SAP Help for  "Planned Independent Requirements (PIR) Segment":

    "In SAP APO, the quantities for make-to-order operations are, in general, planned separately to those for make-to-stock operations. These areas are known as PIR segments.
    In general, you can only plan within a PIR segment. This means that you cannot consume planned independent requirements for a make-to-stock scenario with sales orders in a make-to-order scenario.
    However, SAP does offer a special segment to cover exactly this situation u2013 PIR segment Planning without final assembly, without individual requirements. For more information, see the input help for the PIR Segment field in the requirements strategy.
    Supply Network Planning (SNP) cannot work with the individual customer segment. For example, demand in this segment is not shown in SNP. Consequently, you should not use requirements strategies that use this segment. In the standard system, these are the strategies 30 and 40."
    I have not worked with 30 myself.
    As I mentioned earlier, it won't be easy to differentiate between the planned orders, so I am still not clear how creating separate planned orders would be beneficial for you. But best of luck anyway.
