Repetitive manufacturing - CM01 Capacity Requirement

Hi All,
I configured repetitive manufacturing process with lead time scheduling.
Conf. at OPU5 is set as below
Rate.plng horzn  - 999
SelID:rate plng -  02
Scheduling u2013 X (selected)
Generate Capacity reqs. u2013 X (selected)
Scheduling level  - Via Rate based scheduling
Adjust dates u2013 Do not adjust basic dates, dep reqmt to operation dates
For capacity scheduling u2013 Always basic dates, dep. Reqmt to operation dates
I run MRP (MD02) with option - Lead Time Scheduling and Capacity Planning
I could see required capacity is calculated at tab u201CProduction Ratesu201D & also in menu Planned order >> Goto >>Capacity leveling.
we are unable to view Capacity requirement in CM01 transaction & in planning table MF50.

Hi,
Select the correct profile in CM01.  Menu->Planning->Profiles

  • How is Reqmts calculated in CM01( capacity Planning: Detailed Capacity List.

I believe Reqmts is the difference between the 'To be confirmed' and 'confirmed hours'.
If let suppose standard hours for a part to be manufacture is 100hrs and we have already work 52 hrs off 100hrs then if i go and look up this order in CM01 then the Reqmts should say 48hr (100-52).
But when I am going to CM01 it still saying 100 hours which is not correct. Can some one help me solve this issue

    Hi Pankaj,
Once confirmation is done, hours must be deducted and it should show the remaining hours in CM01 based on the below settings in work center/resource in Capacity tab.
Control: Calc. of Remaining Req./Duration After Confirmation
Controls how, after partial confirmations the
    Remaining capacity requirement and
Remaining duration in a rescheduling is calculated.
    The following are possible:
Formula-Related: The remaining requirement / remaining duration of a
partially confirmed operation is determined when the formula defined in the work
center is evaluated. It is the remaining quantity and not the operation quantity
that is taken into account after the confirmation.
Completely for Partial Confirmation: The remaining requirement /
remaining duration is reduced completely when there is a partial
         confirmation.
Completely for Final Confirmation: The remaining requirement /
remaining duration is reduced completely when there is a final confirmation.
There is no adjustment through partial confirmations.
Proportional to Service: The remaining requirement / remaining
duration of a partially-confirmed operation is reduced proportional to the
service that is assigned to the relevant capacity segment in the work center in
         your record type group.
    Dependencies
When there is a final confirmation the remaining capacity requirement of the
    operation is always completely reduced.
    Please check your settings accordingly.
    Thanks.

  • Function Module to get a work center's capacity requirements (load) within a given period

    Hi all experts,
Currently I’m doing a capacity summary report similar to CM01, but with a summarized capacity availability and loading for a period.
Selection Parameters: Work center range from and to, Period from and to
List Format: Work Center, Avail Capacity, Loaded Capacity, Free Capacity, Load %
I have found a standard function module (FM) to get work center's available capacity for a period, but still facing the challenge to find a FM to get a work center’s capacity requirements (load) in a period.
I have read through all the related threads from the web, and tested the recommended FMs, but still cannot get a right result.
Please help to provide some leads for a FM or the logic.
    Best Regards
    Philip

    Hello Philip
The following function modules should be useful:
       - CY_PRIMARY_SELECTION            - Function module for selection of orders for the work center
       - CY_SECONDARY_SELECTION          - Check for additional criteria
       - CR_CAPACITY_AVAILABLE_PERIODS   - Reads the available capacity from work center
       - HR_PERSON_READ_TIME_INFO        - Reads the available capacity from person (modification)
       - CY_GET_PART_CAPACITY            - used only for the first period to read backlog
       - CY_LOAD_DISTRIBUTION            - Distribution key
Please observe that these are simple function modules, not BAPIs, That means, they were developed to be used on the SAP internal programs and they are not supported by SAP when used in custom programs.

  • Repetitive manufacturing:backflush

    Dear experts,
At my client place , repetitive manufacturing scenario is there.
While doing back flush, I am facing an error "Argument 1061 not contained in table T437D"
                                     "Message no. RM001"
Please guide me where I am going wrong in customisation.
    Regards,
    Sameer

    Dear Sameer,
    check for this 2 settings,
SPRO-Production-Repetitive Manufacturing-Planning-Define scheduling parameters for Planned orders (OPU5),Check
*whether for order type * or for order type PE - Run Schedule*Quantity for Plant RA01 whether you have maintained the
    relevant required parameters.
Then also in SPRO-Production-Repetitive Manufacturing-Planning - Planning Table-Maintain distribution for Planning
table whether you maintained the setting for the plantRA01.
Once after doing this setting,it gets updated in table T437D.

  • Repetitive Manufacturing - Backflushing

    Hi Gurus,
I am new to Repetitive manufacturing Scenario, I have created a planned order and then done the required steps of Backflushing and GR and completed that.
After which I found that the components are not correctly consumed during backflushing. One of the component was consumed in less. Now I want to charge this remaining qty to that order.
But when I try to do this using the same tcodes like MB1A, MIGO with 261 movement against that order, Error message "Internal Order..................."
    is displayed,
Please let me know on how this problem can be solved, this may look silly, but being new to this scenario Can any one please help me.

    Hi,
If you want to correct then you have only option to reverse the backflush from MF41 and perform the fresh confirmation (backflush) like same in production order confirmation cancellation and then re-confirmation.
While reversing syetem updates the stock for components and for finished part its create planned order for reverse quantity (depends on rem profile settings).
If any question then please inform.

  • Repetitive manufacturing:subcontracting

    Dear experts
In repetitive manufacturing scenario, I have subcontracted my 4 of operations.
Now the requirement is I want to create Automatic PR for those operations.
So please guide me what are the necessary settings to be done.
    Regards,
    Sameer

    Dear Sameer,
I doubt whether operation sub-contratcing is possible in REM scenario,i have not tried this, but in my understanding if you are
using a reporting point backflush this may be achieved.
In one of my project in REM scenario we used direct sub-contracting where this is possible.

  • Repetitive Manufacturing planned order long text

In our scenario, we will use the repetitive manufacturing process with planned order.   However, the users would like to attach the long text for each planned order.
Is there any use exit or BADI to support this?
    Regards,

    Hi ,
i think there is no user exit or BADI which can work in your case.
When we required similar functioanolity we landd up in desigining entirely new Z tocde which would accept the long text ofr the plan orders and save it.
we created coplue of ztables to store the plaf link.

  • Capacity requirement showing up in previous month in RCCP

    Hi Experts,
I am doing RCCP through MC88. But when i am giving the sales quantity in January and generating a synchronous production quantity, the capacity requirement and load are shown in the month of December instead of in January.
How can i get the requirement and load in January, please suggest.
    Regards
    Sm.

    Hi Jiaul,
I cannot find a provision to change the profile dynamically from MC88 screen. This is possible in my understanding in capacity levelling/planning screens like CM38/CM01, etc.
But even in such screens the same problem remains. For example when i did LTP for this material with PIRs in Feb 2011, the capacity requirements in CM38 appeared from current period that is from 09.12.10, though my planning scenario was valid from 01.01.2011. I changed the period and evaluation period dynamically from  the CM 38 screen, but that did not solve the problem as the requirement and load which was wronly showing up in Jan instead of Feb 2011 ( just as it happened in RCCP) merely vanished from the output and now i have the available capacity in Feb 2011 showing up but without any capacity requirement or load in the month.

  • Options on BOM component backflushing (Repetitive Manufacturing)

We are in the process of implementing Repetitive Manufacturing and we would like some insight regarding BOM
    component backflushing.
    Our requirements:
    1) In a scenario with insufficient unrestricted component stock the entire transaction should be stopped, including the
Goods Receipt of the assembly. We do not want backlogs generated and we do not want a correction dialog box. We
only want the GI of component stock to happen for exactly the exploded BOM quantity or not at all.
    2) No opportunity should be given for the end user to modify the GI quantity of the BOM components even if there are
    errors.
Unfortunately I have not found a combination of configuration settings in the repetitive manufacturing profile that can
completely satisfy those requirements. Several settings have come close or give us other means of controlling the
process but none have been a perfect fit. We've also looked into setting the stock deficit message (M7021) to "E" but
we are worried about compromising other processes with that approach.
Can you please let us know what, if anything, we are overlooking and what options are available to us to meet these
    requirements?

    Dear Prasad,
1.Check in the REM profile whether the check box for error correction in dialog mode is mandatory.
2.Check for this authorization object, under the main object C_BACKFL,check for this object BF_POST ,check whether the tick mark
is for all these values.1 Post without correction
    2 Display BOM/routing
    3 Change BOM/routing
Better not include the tick mark for option 3 and i hope this will solve your problem,
    Check and revert

  • Repetitive Manufacturing and Run Schedule Header

    Dears,
Could you Please Explain to me the  Process of Repetitive Manufacturing after run MRP and get  planned orders for RS
What happend after that  , how to deal with planned orders and and how to create Run schedule Header
Please note that i'm aware about no need to create RSH just product cost collector
    Regards
    Rami

    Dear Rami,
As explained by our forum members the concept of creating RS header is more valid and not required, configuring a REM profile in
OSP2 and assigning the same in the material master and REM allowed setting in MRP4 view and in the production version and
scheduling parameters in OPU5 for order type PE is sufficient.
If you want more explanation regarding the same means please revert.

    Dear experts,
We use repetitive manufacturing. We use BAPI_REPMANCONF_CREATE_MTS for repetitive manufacturing. We have a requirement that to change the activity quantities and component in or before confirmation.

    anyone?

  • Reg capacity requirement

    Hi friends ,
Can anyone tell me how to create capacity requirement..
When execute cm01 for a work center it is displaying the " No capacity requirements have been found for
selected periods" how to generate the requirement??

    how to create capacity requirement
CM01 is a report where you can see capacity requirment of a perticullar work center.
As said by our other expert you need to create capacity during work center creation.
Now based on your usage of workcenter in routing sytem creates capacity req during mrp run (scheduling = 2 lead time scheduling),plan order creation and production order creation.

  • How to Split Capacity Requirement

    Dear PP Guru's,
We are in discrete manufacturing, there are several operations having capacity requirements say 24 hours .
But in actual we do not perform such operations at a go. We carry out operation in partial lots of operation qty. say each lot requires 4 hrs & there are 6 lots. Say for each lot operation is perforemed on alternate day.
My query is how we can split the capacity requirement of (single) operation in to six (lots) so that we can schedule each lots on alternate day. Currently we schedule capacity in CM31 where the order is shown in single block of 24 hrs.
Please suggest how to split the operation qty. Any configuration required to do so?.

    Srinathan.

  • Capacity requirement group by week

Inside CM01, given a work center,  we can get capacity requirements group by weeks.
Is there any function module to get the same answer?
I've found that table KBED seems to hold the information I need.
But don't know how to group the records into different slot of week.
    Can anybody help?

    Hi Frank,
Too good... it worked !!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks. If it's too good, I suppose you can always add errors.
And can we give input for END DATE...it does have only start date..Yes, you could give the end date instead of the start date.
    You could allow either.
Suppose you had a form that returned user_input_date (a DATE) and a string, user_date_type, returned by a radio group, 'START' if the user indicated that the date entered was a start date, or 'END' otherwise.
    WITH  d  AS
        SELECT  user_input_date -     CASE
                             WHEN  user_date_type = 'START'

    ,     g  AS
        SELECT  (creation_date - input_startdate)  AS wk_num
        FROM    xxsirf_per_addresses_tl
        CROSS JOIN  d
    SELECT    MAX (input_startdate + (7 * wk_num))          AS wk_start
    ,         MAX (input_startdate + (7 * wk_num) + 6)     AS wk_end
    ,         COUNT (*)
    FROM      g
    GROUP BY  wk_num
ORDER BY  wk_num;Though if you were running this from a form, it would be easy to do sub-query d separately, and pass the input_startdate that it computed to the query I posted earlier.
I would discourage allowing users to input both start- and end dates, because they won't necessarily be six days apart.
Of course, you could ignore one if both were entered, but that's exactly the kind of thing that confuses end users.

  • Repetitive Manufacturing Transactions - MF12, MF41, MF47, etc.

    Hi Experts -
Does anyone know if there is an easy way to change the layouts of the repetitive manufacturing transactions to be a single line ALV format?  I am especially wondering about MF41 and having a layout where there is a checkbox for the selections.  I know I can change the layout but seemingly not to a more userfriendly ALV.
    Thanks

    Dear Angela,
I dont think it's possible to modify the layout for these T.Codes.I could not get even some OSS notes relevant to modifying the
    layout for MF12.
Kindly please do share if you get some useful information regarding this requirement.
