I just want to know ,when and how i can use requirement assignment tab i PM Order . How it can be used.Is there any config sttings for it.
When i am cretating WC for activity based costing , Requirement assignemnt tab is not there .

You can split the work using the employees.. and assign particular work hours to them

I am working on capacity planning.I am creating an order & putting some requirement let say 2HR. with the help of capacity levelling in CM25, I am dispatching the manpower against that req, which is getting updated in PM order on requirement assignment tab.After conpletion of job I am doing techo. Now my qyery is :
1. During teco, requirement assignment tab is not there in order.
2. If I am cancelling that Teco of order, manpower which is udpated thorugh CM25 in order, is getting clear.
Is this the standard system behaviour, if yes, please guide me what is the reason. In case of no, how to solve this.

As mentioned, it is expected that requirement assignment data is deleted at time of technical completion. Documented in KBA/Note [1634839|https://bosap-support.wdf.sap.corp/sap/support/notes/1634839].

FM/BAPI to update requirements assignment on a PM order
Hello,
I am working on a project which involves building interfaces between a client's SAP ECC system and a third party scheduling system. The orders are created in SAP, interfaced to the third party, where they assign resources and schedule appointments. Hence we need to build is inbound to SAP, to update the "requirements assignment" tab of PM order operations - transaction IW32.
I have looked at BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN, but this doesn't provide this specific functionality.
Does anyone know if there is any other type of function module which enables this to be created/updated?
The data appears to be stored in table KBED - capacity requirements.

After lots of search and trials, I have gave up on the function group CY_BT*.
I eventually used direct update on the database tables of the Requirements Assignment.
Using SQL Trace and Runtime Analysis of the transaction IW31/32, I have been able to imitate the standard SAP process for creation, update and deletion and the effect of every scenario on the database tables:
KBED Capacity Requirements Records
KBEZ Add. data for table KBED (for indiv. capacities/splits)
KBKO Header Record for Capacity Requirements
Combine that with locking mechanism, you will get your results.
Just build a Z-'BAPI'. The best cost-benefit balance, as far as I am concerned.

Reqirement Assignment Tab in Maintenence order
Dear Experts,
I'm struggling to bring the "Requirement Assignment Tab"in the maintenance order, altough all the pre-requsits in the work centre like Other formula SAP008/SAP004/SAP00 distribution formula have been maintained including the HRMS is also maintained in work centre.
I have checked most of the links/threads on google but no success, could some one please help me out is some other configuration is there.
Sorry forgot to add I need this for Multi Resource Planning so that I can use it in splits of the assignments.

You get a warning message if you get them the wrong way around.
The standard settings for PM/CS are:
Capacities tab: Other formula: SAP008
Scheduling tab: Other formula: SAP004
Costing tab: Formula key for costing: SAP008
They should work as standard - assuming no one has changed the formula settings in the IMG.

We had the same requirement and couldn't find a suitable function module to update the splits.
From memory the ABAPers eventually solved the issue by writing the data directly into the tables.

This Path is available in ECC 603 and we are using ECC6 . so not able to get the Path .

I have one more query regarding this:
When I assign one Resource to Reqmnt assignment tab and give any date of friday then the date is automatically switches to Monday's date . the Work schedule for that person is from Monday to Friday but then also it shifts the date to Monday .
Can you please suggest on this .

Thanks for your reply. I could find the entries for all inspection types under Production order type (for example, PP01) in the config , but could not find entries other than 03 inspection type in PI01 order type (Process Order). Is this standard? How do i get all inspection type entries in Pi01 order type? At least, 04.
Also, if I have both 03 and 04 active for the material, then which inspection lot the system populates in the "assignment" tab?

MAKE BUSINESS AREA MANDATORY IN ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT TAB IN PURCHASE ORDER.
What I've done is in dev server is made BUSINESS AREA mandatoy for"A" asset acc assign category, so that while creating a capital purchse order, one should mandatory give input at BUSINESS AREA field in purchase order.
This all setting i've done in OME9.
Till now everything is OK in PO creation except the fact that system is not asking for Business area, infact it is picking the same business area which is present in asset code.
i.e. when i give asset code, it is automatically proposing the business area from asset code and instead i want the system to compulsory ask for business area.
By this I can be sure that the asset code authenticity...

and check for the field "Business Area". to do the field as mandatory, the field should be available here. -
Work Order Requirements Assignment
Hi PM Gurus,
I have a situation and am hoping some of you have seen it before.
I have a created a maintenance work order from a notification. On the work order Operations tab I choose an operation and assign resources on the Requirements Assignment tab (on the bottom left of the screen). Everything is good so far...and the workorder is saved.
When the workorder is TECO'ed in another step all the requirements assignment for the operation is lost.....am I missing a piece of configuration or is this normal behavior....have any of you seen this happen before and overcome it.

I got this situation that user TECO this work order by mistake, and later he reinstate this, meaning cancel TECO, requirements assignment for the operation is empty , and user would like to expect to see this planned data once again, do you have some solutions?

Req Assignment Tab page not coming for Service order
Hi All,
I am working on simple service order SM01 type scenario. where in i am entering the operation & time for the same.
Now when i am going in to operation detail screen . I am not able to find out the requirement assignment tab page.
Strangely when i am using same reference object & creating the Maintenance order PM01 & doing the same as above it is showing the req assignment tab page.

I have found that the external scheduling flag is
set for order type SM01 in customizing. Since this is set, requirement
assignment tab will not be populated as this will be taken care
externally.
Remove the flag in below customising path.
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service--Maintenance and Service ProcessingMaintenance and Service Orders-Scheduling--External Scheduling--Define for Each Order Type
Once this flag is removed for order type SM01, this tab will appear
for service orders.

I have created one quotation 'X 'and after that I created one more quotation'Y' with the reference of original quotation'X 'and rejected the earlier created quotation 'X'.
After that I created sales order'Z' with the reference of quotation 'Y' but while i go to account assignment tab at ' order field' at sales order item level than the cancelled quotation no. is there coming.
As per my knowledge quotation no. 'Y' should flow in sales order account assignment tab in 'order field'
My question is why rejected quotation no. is flowing there in account assignment tab in sales oreder ??
And what is the use and impact of sales order field under account assignment tab at item level in sales order??
This is scenario of MTO and we are using billing plan at sales document header level.

"Order field" at item level in sales order - account assignment tab refers Internal Order number ( created by using Tx:KO01), this is not SD orders.
You might have same number range for Internal Orders & quotations. Hence confusing with the number.
Quotation number will be available only in document flow & document status table VBUK. will not be displayed in order transaction.

Sales order no and line item no in account assignment tab of line item no.
Hi All,
When we display a sales order and go to line item --> Account assignment tab --> we can see sales order no and line item no in that screen. We want to know from where this existing no. in that field is populating from.
We want to know this as we want to check feasibility of changing sales order and item no to maintenance contract no and line item no. ( Maintenance contract we have to pick from notification)
If anybody has any idea about this do let me know as this is urgent requirment.

You mean Accounting assignment tab-->In Settlement rule details
If yes the order number which is coming in that field Sales order and for which sale order you are looking that details both are the same numbers(i.e Nothing but sales order number).
When you create sales order system will give number of the sales order the number will come in this place.
