Rescheduling production order.

Hi, I am using a custom strategy which is similar to planning strategy 82. whats happening is . when the delivery date in the sales order is getting rescheduled its automatically rescheduling the production order.
but when the production order is rescheduled its not rescheduling the sales order automatically.
what am  I missing.
when i release the production order( which is having a past date) its changing the confirmed quantity in the sales order to 0. but its not rescheduling it.

Deepu,
Most of this is standard functionality for strategy 82.  In this strategy, the master document is the Sales order.  Performing an availability check in the SO will have the effect of rescheduling the production order, and possibly changing the Basic Start and Finish dates.
When you change the production order, the sales order will normally not be affected immediately, until the next time that you run a Sales order ATP.
If you wish to change the Production order dates, and have the Sales order 'align' with the ProdOrder dates, you could consider running SD rescheduling (V_V2).
I have never released a past due production order, so I cannot say how the SD order would behave under these circumstances.  It doesn't seem to make much sense to me to release a production order with 'impossible' dates.

  • We need to avoid rescheduling of Production order in APO

Currently the production orders are created in ECC with reference to the plan orders transferred from APO. These orders are transferred back to APO as part of standard CIF. Since ECC is the owner of Production orders, we don’t want APO influencing any changes in production order. But there are situations when the APO is rescheduling the production order by automatically triggering heuristics after getting the changes in capacity from ECC via CIF. That is impacting with the schedule of orders already planned by business in ECC. One such known issue is when the capacity of resource has change during the time when order is scheduled. How should we avoid this?

    Hi Anubrata,
Please check note 161028. This is the standard behaviour. If the SKU is X0 have to be planned by APO!
    This note describes a modification proposal for the following purpose;
When a planned order is imported into R/3 via the interface, it is never scheduled in R/3 (detailed scheduling: esp. generation of capacity requirements).
This is the current design of APO <-> R/3 interface.
However, for such special requirements that the planned order should 'always' be scheduled, you can apply the following source code change.
This modification enables you to always automatically schedule the planned order that comes over the interface from APO for 'change' and 'create'. If capacity planning is activated, then also capacity requirements are determined in R/3.
This functionality only works for PP/DS planned orders and not for SNP planned orders. For SNP orders the SNP PPM will always be reexploded after a changed planned order is send back from R/3 to APO and then the order will be rescheduled in APO again.
    Hope that can help you.
    Thanks.

  • Question about the rescheduling of a Sales Order and its Production Order

    Hello Everybody,
I experience something strange with the rescheduling of a Sales Order and its corresponding Production Order.
It will be easier to explain with an example...
For a material, I have created a Sales Order.
And from this Sales Order, I have now a Production Order converted from a Planned Order generated by the MRP Run.
This is what I have in transaction MD04:
    SALES ORDER
    AV DATE: 20/02/2008
    GR DATE: 20/02/2008
    PRODUCTION ORDER
    AV DATE: 20/02/2008
GR DATE: 18/02/2008    (GR process time is 2 days).
    ==> OK !
Now, I have to reschedule the Sales Order one week sooner.
    SALES ORDER
    AV DATE: 13/02/2008
    GR DATE: 13/02/2008
After transaction COHV to reschedule the Production Order, I have:
    PRODUCTION ORDER
    AV DATE: 15/02/2008
    GR DATE: 13/02/2008
    But I expected to have:
    PRODUCTION ORDER
    AV DATE: 13/02/2008
    GR DATE: 11/02/2008
Do you have an idea about what is wrong?
Thanks in advance for your help on this subject.

    Hello.
    Thank you for your reply.
But in fact, I am doing some tests on a test platform, which is using an "old" copy of production database.
So, there can't be data already scheduled for the dates I am using.
Moreover, I just tried now to do the same with dates in November 2008, exactly with the same results.
In production platform, they experience this problem too.
    Summary of my new test:
    Before rescheduling:
    SALES ORDER:
    AV. DATE = 20/11/2008
    GR. DATE = 20/11/2008
    PROD. ORDER:
    AV. DATE = 20/11/2008
    GR. DATE = 18/11/2008
After rescheduling of one week sooner:
    SALES ORDER:
    AV. DATE = 13/11/2008
    GR. DATE = 13/11/2008
    PROD. ORDER:
    AV. DATE = 15/11/2008  (ipo  13/11/2008)
    GR. DATE = 13/11/2008  (ipo  11/11/2008)
I really don't understand why I don't have the same kind of dates as the ones I get before the rescheduling...
In my mind, I expect to have all these dates set back of one week...

  • Rescheduling of Production Orders using COHV

    Hi,
    My Client Requirement is:-
There are more production orders . I have to reschedule that production order one after the other.
When I change 1st production order by 2 days in future then all the production orders are reschedule after 1st production order.
Eg. Reschedule 1st Production order date is 20.01.2012 , then all remaining production order reschedule after the 1st production date 20.01.2012.
I have tried in Mass processing of production order COHV but couldn't give result.
Please tell me the Procedure for doing it with brief.

    Hi,
You cannot schedule production orders dependending on each others dates in standart SAP. COHV schedules orders at a specified date, all for the same given date. You have to run COHV for a number of times using the outcome of the first run of scheduling.
Generally capaciy leveling tools of SAP are used for requirements such as these. However these also do not consider any relation btween orders, only dependency of operations within an order is taken into account.
Alternatively, a batch program may be developed to schedule orders reading orders line by line and dates for each.
    Regards.

  • Rescheduling Sales Order vs Production Order (Components)

    Hi gurus,
Transaction V_RA rescheduling sales order with different filters.
We need a transaction similar to V_RA that rescheduling sales order and production order (for availability check of components). Does it exist??
I will reward points to all answers!
    Thank you!

    Daniel,
It all depends on the business policy of each client. In our case, it was decided that in case Production orders and Sales orders compete for the same material, we will give priority to sales orders. Hence, we changed the timings of the nightly jobs. The backorder job was run first, so that stock was committed there first. Balance if any could go to Prod orders.
But again, that depends on the strategy of your company.

  • Production order automtic rescheduling

    Hi all,
Do you know if there is a way to reschedule automatically production order based on recommendations made by MRP run ?
We are trying to use COHV but not succesfully...
    Thanks in advance

    Benoit,
I assume you are talking about the rescheduling date calculated during the MRP run.  This date is not used by COHV.  The calculation of this date uses extremely limited criteria, and most planners will not blindly reschedule their production orders without first checking many other things (released?  On the shop floor?  Capacity available? RM available? etc etc)
You could create an LSMW or CATT or recording to change your production orders en masse.
One way to reduce the necessity of mass changing production order dates is to wait until the last possible moment to convert your planned orders to production orders.
    Best regards,

  • Rescheduling a Production Order

    Hello Gurus,
MRP creates a Planned Order for me which I finally convert to Product Order through MD04. I have set Back-Ward Scheduling for the Production Order PP01. For example the Basis start date and Finish date is between 11/07/08 --15/07/08 on Production Order. I go and manually change the Basic Finish date to 19/07/08. When I save the Production Order, it also moves the Basic Start date automatically forward. What if I dont want to change the Basic Start date and just want to spread the Production Order. How do I achieve it.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

    Kumar,
Thanks for the answer. If I dont want to remove the automatic scheduling indicator. Can I go inside the Production Order in change mode and change scheduling to 'Only Capacity Requirements'. If I do this it let me be flexible on the start date, even if I change the finish date.
Is it a practise followed in the Industry.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

  • Duplicate production order due to sales order on credit block

    Dear Experts !
Need feedback on the following scenario:
    - Sales order is entered for material which is produced in-house specific to the sales order (ie customer's logo is on product).
    - Schedule line in sales order creates a production order specific to the sales order.
    - Customer runs into credit check a few days later and consequently the schedule line in the sales order is removed due to credit block, however the linked production order still remains and is produced by factory.
    - Sales order is released from credit check and a new schedule line is created resulting in another production order being released.
Any ideas on how to prevent duplication of production order?
    Thanks in advance!
       -Alvin

    Hello,
Apologies for the confusion, let me explain it a bit more.
    - Sales order is entered for material with planning strategy group of make-to-order, the schedule line initiates new production order for make-to-order material.
    - A few days later - the customer goes over credit limit or has overdue invoices, etc..
    - During background rescheduling (or any sales order change) the sales order gets a credit block due to static check.
    - Sales order block deleted schedule line in sales order, however the production order remains active.
    - Once the sales order is released from credit block, a new schedule line is created which initiates a new production order.
    - Duplicate production order is now being made in shop floor.
I hope the above explains my scnario a little clearer.
    Thanks and regards,
    Alvin

  • Multiple production orders  are generated for same requirement

    hello guru's
For a MTO (make to Order) scenario, where the Material requirement quantities are generated from Sales Orders.
Ex: Sales Order created for 500 Qty.
I had run the MRP using MD03 with the following parameters
Processing key              NETCH      Net Change in Total Horizon
Create purchase req.     1                  Purchase requisitions in opening period
    Delivery schedules       3                  Schedule lines
Create MRP list            1                  MRP list
Planning mode              1                  Adapt planning data (normal mode)
Scheduling                    1                  Determination of Basic Dates for Planned
System had generated Planned Orders for Qty 500 and these are converted to Production order for Qty 500 for which the Purchase Order for 500 are created.
Goods receipt of 480 has been made against the Purchase Order for the Ordered 500 Qty.
When I re-run the MD03 the system is generating the new Production Order Qty 0f 20 which is not supposed to be as this 20 Qty was already part of the existing Purchase Order and yet to be delivered .
Could you please explain me why this is happening?
    regards

    Dear,
MRP will consider the firmed PR for the completion date contained in the PR. If the requirements date is different, then MRP will create a new proposal (PR).
If you wish for MRP to RESCHEDULE the dates of existing firmed purchase reqs, instead of just creating new proposals, you have to set the Rescheduling horizon. OPPQ> Rescheduling (plant) or OPPR >Recheduling Horizon (MRP Groups). Start with a small horizon,  Also check the tick mark for firm reciept there.
Are you getting any expection message in front of PR?
MRP will 'assume' rescheduling by configuration, by managing the rescheduling horizon, and by setting the rescheduling tolerances. These config can be found in
    OPPQ select Rescheduling
    or, for MRP groups
    Please check and come back.

  • Rescheduling of order based on operation confirmation dates

    Hi All,
Our production process to complete a product has got long lead times.
In production order, for example, there are four operations OP10, OP20, OP30 and OP40.
During production order creation, system will perform lead time scheduling based on standard value time mentioned in the routing for every operation. Due to long lead times and production delay, there will be delay in actual execution of these operations with scheduled dates. After confirming OP10 with actual execution dates in CO11n, if we go to production order and click on scheduling button, then system reschedules remaining operations dates in the production order based on actual execution times entered for OP10.
Our requirement is by using Enhancements/BADI/IDOCs is it possible to automatically reschedule the order after confirmation of OP10 in order to reflect nearest actual production execution dates.
    Please suggest your valuable findings.
    Thanks & regards,
    Satya.

  • Operation status 'Fixed' in Production order

    Hello all,
We are facing an issue with Operation Status 'Fixed'. If we go to transaction /sapapo/rrp3 and double click on Production Order (R).  Then clcik on Operation , say 0100, at right side you will see multiple Operation status. One of them is 'Fixed'. We can make this indicator active ny fixing the order in planning board (right click=> Fix).
Here we are facing an issue. We are not fixing any order through planning board and still I see Operation status 'Fixed'. Even I unfix it, next day it gets fixed automatically. I suspect that either any job in APO or R/3 do this activity. Please note that in this case 'Date_Fixed' indicator is not checked. Like when you fix the order from planning baord, system check the checkbox for 'Date_Fixed" and for operation status 'Fixed'. In our case only Operation status becomes 'Fixed.
Please let me know what are the different ways to fix the operation status.
    Regards,
    Nitin

    Thanks for the reply.
As you mentioned, if the operation is scheduled at non-working hours then it gets fixed. I checked with the user and they confimred that they are not using the non production hour while rescheduling the order. It means they are not using the check box of non-working hour from DS startegy or Heuristic.
Please let me know what are the different possibilities which can schedule the operation in non-working hours.

  • Production order Basic start date calculation

    Hello PP Sapperu2019s,
I have an production order for total qty - 865,00.This production order created on 11.08.2011 and I could able to see the Basic start date as 26.06.2011.Please let me know how this basic start date gets calculated. I mean what are all the parameters included for calculating this basic start date.
    My Observation:
I have checked in OPU3 for the respective plant and order type the scheduling type mentioned as Backward.
SMK u2013 903 (ie, opening period for planned order u2013 3 days)
In Routing we have two operations.
Requesting from forum people to give me the detailed calculation part on how this basic start date gets calculated / arrived.
Please let me know if you need any more inputs.
    Cheers,
    Kumar.S

    Hi Kumar,
As per my understanding this is all decided/maintained through scheduling parameters which are defined in Customizing per order type, plant and production scheduler (from the material master) (Customizing for Shop Floor Control, by choosing Operations > Scheduling > Define Scheduling Parameters). In what follows the parameters are described that affect the scheduling of a production order. Further control parameters are described in the course of this section.
According to your query I suggests ,In Customizing you can specify that an order is rescheduled as soon as it is a certain number of days late (Start in the past indicator). The system then automatically carries out today scheduling when the basic start date of the order is more than the given number of days in the past. This scheduling is a type of forward scheduling starting from todayu2019s date and where the necessary reduction measures are applied .
Else you can also specify  that a production order is to be rescheduled automatically whenever it is saved (indicator Automatic scheduling). If changes relevant to scheduling are made in the order and this indicator is not set then the order is given the status NTER (dates not current).
Hope this would be useful for you at some extent.
    Please revert if required .

  • Sequencing of Production Order

    Hi,
    The scenario is as follows:
There are 10 production order which are to be executed on a particular day. User will decide the sequence in which the orders have to be taken for production.
Now the client requirement is that the system should automatically schedule the time without overlapping.
For example, The start time of production order with sequence 2 should be a finish time of production order with sequence 1, The start time of production order with sequence 3 should be a finish time of production order with sequence 2 and so on.
Can any body tell me how to handle the above scenario and how to assign the sequence number in the production order ( is there any transaction where in sequence numbers are assigned to production orders).

  • Production order changes through sales order

Mine is a MTO business process. I am using strategy 50. when ever I create a production order from the planned order its getting attached to the sales order which is  expected and obivous. when ever the sales order gets rescheduled its also re scheduling production orders. this is also expeceted.  this rescheduling thing is happening even after I release the order until some cost is incurred on the order( until  the first confirmation is done). this is causing the proble. so whats happeing is  we release the production order Print it. we have a wait time of approx 30 to 40 after we print and we start manufacturing. in this mean time when something changes in the sales order even the credit card info the sales order. the sales order trys to perform a mateerial availability check which is rescheduling the production order and placing it back from released status to created status. this is causing the problem.

    Try this.
    1. Create a Status profile in bs02.
    2. you can use the standard profile PP000001 Status profile ProductionOrder
    3. Assign this profile as header for your production order type in OPJH.
    4. Now when you create and release thep roduction order the - Release status would be set by the system
    5. AFter you have release manullay select the status profile in the prod order header and mark the RLLK Release locked
    6. So next time without deactiviting this check mark in the status profile you wil not able to release the order
so kindly check this option and let me know for clarfications
