Returns and Repairs  in CS

Hi,
I am creating the  following cycle-
Service notification--> Repair Quotation
Then i create a Repairs order with reference to teh quoatton created earlier- and carry out returns delivery.
The problem is that  when i go to the repairs screen ,it does not create a service order automatically for the returned material
Is something missing?
Also, Is it possible to create a quotation from an inhouse repairs order?
Let me know
Thanks

Hi
It seems you do not have the required access. Please discuss with your basis guy and ask him to give you SAP-ALL access. I think you would then be able to mainatin new items.
Thanks,

  • Windows is Scanning and repairing drive... (- Errors in Event Viewer)

Long post, please be patient... :)
    I have a fairly new (purchased 8/2013) Lenovo ThinkPad T431s with Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit (updated from 8.0 -> 8.1). It has a very tricky error coming basically 8 / 10 boots:
Windows is Scanning and repairing drive...
Error details from Windows Event Viewer (a new similar error appears on every boot to event viewer):

number of the file that needs to be reconnected is 0x400000003db80. There may be additional files on the volume that also need to be reconnected to this parent directory.
What has been done 1st trying to fix that:
SSD disk has been changed (image from previous SSD copied back) ->
    no solution, error remains
chkdsk /F /R -> no solution, error remains
SFC /scannow -> no solution, error remains
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth -> no solution, error remains after a few boots
TRIED using Windows 8.1 "Update & Recovery -> Refresh Your PC without affecting your files" -> Inserted the Lenovo "Operating System Recovery Disk Windows 8 Pro (OEM Activation 3.0 Required)" BUT Windows did not accept
that DVD claiming "The media inserted is not valid"... ???
Ended up calling Lenovo Support and they instructed me to order the Recovery DVD from
Lenovorecovery.com -> Unfortunatelly Windows does not recognice the DVD(s)...

    2) Excluded the dirty volume from boot checking with chkntfs /x
-> still the Error appears in Event viewer log (but Scanning is skipped/not shown anymore during the boot).
    What is causing the error?
    3) Why do I have three (3) recovery partitions?

What has happened in the past days:
    A) Lenovo on-site-Support changed the motherboard -> had no impact on the error (which I expected).
    B) I found
instructions how to manually create USB Flash stick with a booting Custom (OEM) Recovery Image.
    C) Booted with USB and performed "Refresh your PC without affecting your files."
    D) Windows was refreshed but...

Now Lenovo support is proposing a full re-install (to be performed by myself) of Windows as this is SW issue.
    Summary:

  • Service Contract and Repair procedure

    Hi,
I am struggling with a Service mgmt issue.
There is a service contract in which we maintain the terms and conditions of service (bill plan) and also give the rates for service.
Now when i run a repair at plant scenario wherein i bring back the defective matr. for repairs, the service notification is connecting to that contract and takes the contract number.
What is fail to understand is that how do the contract terms and conditions affect the repair process.
The process i am following is as follows:
1)Created a contract for the C/s and material to give service for one year and the customer paid one time for that through billing the Contract type WV.
    2) For the repairs, i did the following
Service notification - repair Order - return delivery of defective matr to service center - Service order creation - carrying the repair (added a spare part also) and technically completed the order - Delivery of repaired matr to customer - Resource related billing request creation (DP90) - Billing the repair order - Settlimg the Service order - Settling the Repair order.
In all this process, i do not find any link between the Contract and repair cycle. Ideally since the customer has paid for the service one time, we should only charge for whatever spare parts are used.
Hope I have been able to explain it. looking forward to any help on this issue
    Thanks
    Arijeet

    HI Arijeet,
conditions and the price agreements for the service material and materials will be picked from the service contract into the repair order.
    regards

  • Macbook Pro "13 (2013) returned from repairs making new noises internally.

    Hello,
I recently turned my Macbook Pro into Jump Plus (an apple retailer) for what turned out to be a Hard Drive cable issue. My repair invoice says, "Front Hard Drive Bracket W/IR/Sleep/HD Cable". The tech who repaired my macbook said this problem was a common issue because of the structure inside and could also be caused by toting my macbook around a lot.
Since getting my macbook back after a quick repair (and replacement of this cable), I have noticed my macbook making new sounds. Occasionally there will be a tinkling noise, a chinking noise or even a sort of rubbing noise, mostly heard on the ride side of the macbook (but it could just be where I am putting my ear). It doesn't happen all the time and I find the noises are more frequent if my macbook has heated up a bit (for example after watching several long youtube videos). I do not find the fan to be overactive at all and my macbook is not overheating at all.
I do not know if these noises are simply caused by the shifting of parts when it was opened up and repaired. From what I have read I'm assuming it could be from parts rubbing together inside but I am really not sure.
The sounds aren't very loud and I usually only notice them if the room is very quiet or if I am watching videos or what have you on my stomach and my macbook is resting on my bed.
I am just concerned as to whether this is just a normal occurance due to the layout or could indicate a further issue that may need to be repaired.
    Thanks for your help!

You should not be complaining to users about this.  Return the computer to the repair shop and tell them what you told us!  Let the repair shop make you whole like they should have done in the first place.

  • Verifying and repairing in Snow Leopard not working

    Hi everyone.
I have a white MacBook (3,1) running Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6.8.  My computer was running extremely slowly so I opened the Disk Utility to try to repair it.  Disk Utility told me I needed to run my Snow Leopard installation disk and verify disk permissions from there.  I did so, and even though the estimated time said 27 minutes, it ran overnight, generated a long list of broken permissions, and nothing else happened.  I rebooted and now I could select "Repair Disk Permissions", so I did so, and again, the estimated time was 25 minutes but nothing happened.
From browsing the support community I see that this is a known issue with Snow Leopard.  What can I do to verify and repair permissions so I can then verify and repair my disk?  I would appreciate any information whatsoever.
    Thanks,
    Christine

    Try it this way:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

  • Returns and replacement

    Hi Gurus,
Kindly provide the information about the customer returns and replacement in respect of under warranty cases
    Eg
Final product sold is gear box (based on BOM). If we received the gearbox from customer for repair we have to replace some parts of the gearbox and send back to the customer (Note: gearbox is under warranty). In these case how to account the return gearbox and how to account the replaced parts and how to send back to the customer.
    Regards
    Allen

    Hi Pepe,
I suspect something might be a problem with Item Usage. So we need to check 2 things.
    1) Create a return order/ return request item directly in ECC and check the item usage that is getting picked.
    2) In CRM also create a return order / return request item and check the item usage.  you can put a break point on select statment "SELECT SINGLE * FROM crmc_it_assign" in CRM_ORDER_IT_ASSIGN_SELECT_CB FM.
I suspect the problem with item usage as transaction type and item cat group can not change (assuming materail and product are in sync)
Let me know the outcome. Hope this helps.Regds,
    Raghu

  • Difference between service order and repair order?

    hi all,
pl help me in understanding the difference between a service order and  repair order.
pl tell me what is the process to create service order?
what is the process to create a repair order?
how we will know by looking into the order whether it is a service order or a repair order.
    thank you,
    hun

    Hun,
Provides support for the complete Service processing lifecycle from Service Quotation creation to Billing. A service order is created if the customer has to be billed for services like utility usage, no. of pages printed (using counters etc). Service Order processing includes integrated validation of service contract price agreements and warranty entitlements.
    The cycle is :
Business Scenario – Service quotation and service order management
    A.     Make inquiry – Customer contacts and requests for quotation
    B.     Create and communicate quotation – service rep. creates a quotation and sends it to the customer
    C.     Accept the quotation
    D.     Convert quotation into service order – and release the order
    E.     Create and optimize assignments - The Resource Planner assigns any field service tasks to one or more of his Field Service Representatives
    F.     Execute assignment, perform confirmation - The Field Service Representative performs the service assignment at the customer site and performs confirmation for the work done, materials used and so on
    G.     Approve confirmation, assign costs - The Service Manager checks and approves the confirmation data and decides which costs should be billed to the customer
    H.     Bill customer, perform analyses - The Service Manager triggers billing of the customer and performs analyses of the complete service order processing cycle
Where as a repair order would be created when a customer finds a defect in say a product and the requests for a repair of replacement.
    The cycle is:
    The business scenario
    1.     Enter repair request
The customer calls the service organization to request a repair. The agent enters the repair request. The system checks whether a warranty exists.
    2.     Send in defective product
The customer sends in the product using the given return material authorization number.
    3.     Plan repair steps
A service representative performs the technical analysis and enters the inspection result (causes, tasks, etc.). He decides what action should be taken based on the inspection result.
    4.     Create service quotation
The system calculates the price for the planned repair and required spare parts, according to the price agreements in the service contract, and the warranty costs. The agent generates a service quotation.
    5.     Perform confirmation
The customer accepts the quotation. The service representative repairs the product and confirms his working times and materials used. He also documents the inspection results.
    6.     Return repaired product
The service representative returns the repaired product to the customer.
    7.     Create invoice
The service representative triggers customer billing, based on the confirmed time and spare parts used, and in accordance with existing warranties and specific price agreements.
    8.     Analyze defect reasons
Using predefined queries and reports, the service manager analyzes the most important defect reasons.
Refer to CR700 - Service for details info.
    Regards,
    Julius

  • Return and Exchange process in CSC

In CSC Return and Exchange process, While Returning an Item, Refund type is Store Credit. How to change Refund type as credit card?
    Thanks in Advance.

You can check out the products and services tab on this website - follow the instructions and it will let you if you are still under warranty and also let you know how much apple will charge to replace the battery. Also, check out MacResQ.com and compare prices. I believe I read that Apple Stores will give you a 10% discount for a trade in and there are some online places that will let you trade up also.

  • New Mac Mini and Repairing Permissions

I've been having trouble with my Mail program and thought I would repair permissions to see if that would help. I ran disk utility from my internal hard drive and ran repair permissions. Apparently it found several permissions to repair, so I thought I would run repair permissions again and the same list appeared. Running a third time and the same list appeared again.Do these permissions ever get repaired? What do I do from here? Should I repair permissions after booting up off of my original system disk? This Mini is only a couple of weeks old and I'm already having problems with Mail and repairing permissions.
    rskover

Thank you Tim but the computer is packed back waiting for TNT to take it back to Apple. I don't have time to play with permissions, the permissions are OK in the old computer.
This is what may have been your problem. The permissions on your old computer may not have matched the new computer. I think you gave up before the penny dropped.
They sell the computers very expensive and I think they would have to improve quality.
I am unsure how that can be one of your gripes as when the cube came out it was way overpriced in comparison to their other desktops. That did not stop your or I getting one then.
Your issue was a software problem not a hardware problem so no matter what kind of mac you had it would have needed troubleshooting.
The quality of the new mac mini far exceeds that of the cube. Try playing 1080P high definition media on your cube, or even 480P for that matter. Try outputting 5.1 surround sound from your cube without the addition of a firewire audio interface.
I know how frustrating it can be when something just does not seem to work. I have encountered this a few times in my work. However sometimes I just have leave it come back with fresh eyes and try other approaches and I succeed.
What you need to appreciate installing an upgrade should be planned for any eventuality. In business upgrades are scheduled to have the minimum impact on the workplace. That being said I have worked 48 hrs solid over a weekend getting systems up for a monday morning. They are not always straightforward.

  • Use of Return and Notify_url variables offered by PayPal

I have been integrating PayPal into my application (ASP NET MVC) where I made some analysis about PayPal (went through their documentation about the integration). Created a PayPal sandbox account and can transfer the amount. What I want to know is about the `return` and `notify_url` variables. I have enabled `auto return` in my account and also enabled `PDT`. My form variable is like this:<input type="hidden" name="notify_url" value="http://localhost:xxx/xx/Notify">
<input type="hidden" name="return" value="http://localhost:xx/xx/Return">As I have surfed in net, what they state about `Return` and `notify_url` is:> The "return" URL to which PayPal redirects buyers’ browser after they complete their payments. For example, specify a URL on your site that displays a “Thank you for your payment” page. Default is nothing is specified – PayPal redirects the browser to a PayPal webpage. Note, you must have "Auto Return" enabled in your Account Profile settings in order for this variable to work.
    >PayPal returns data back to your site via what they call IPN. Its really just a callback to a URL you specify. You can set this URL via the variable `notify_url` you can send to PayPal.From the above quotes what I understand is that PayPal will post `IPN` variables to `notify action` once the payment done before auto redirecting to the page I set (I mean customer may go the application page or they may close the session). But only return action alone hitting not the `Notify_url`.Correct me if I misunderstood the concept and let me know if it was still Unclear.

Yes, it's not present in the code I have posted but I have tried this as well.
It didn't work, as expected, because soap/axis is on top of http and not https and because my proxy uses http as well (or at least that's what I have learned so far).
In fact, I have tried all combinations between http.\*, https.\*, and Authenticator without success.
I think the problem is more soap/axis related. The solution for axis2 seems somewhat 'trivial' (and well explained over the web) while it's not for axis1.
