S&OP Key Figure Offset by 1 Period

Dear All,
I am trying to mimic the offsetting logic, but not see why it is not working.
Thanks a lot for you hepl.
Kind Regards,
Omar
Existing Key Figures offset by 12, working
ACTUALSQTYPRIORYR@REQUEST = SUM( "ACTUALSQTYPRIORYR@PERPRODCUST1" )                                  Input Key Figure : ACTUALSQTYPRIORYR@PERPRODCUST1
ACTUALSQTYPRIORYR@PERPRODCUST = "ACTUALSQTY@PERPRODCUST"
Input Key Figure : ACTUALSQTY@PERPRODCUST
PERIODID0@PERPRODCUST1 =  "PERIODID0"  + 12
Input Key Figure : ACTUALSQTYPRIORYR@PERPRODCUST
PERIODID@PERPRODCUST1 = "PERIODID"  + 12
ACTUALSQTYPRIORYR@PERPRODCUST
New Key Figures offset by 1, not working
BEGINNINGONHAND@REQUEST =  SUM( "BEGINNINGONHAND@PERPRODLOC2" )
Input Key Figure :BEGINNINGONHAND@PERPRODLOC2
BEGINNINGONHAND@PERPRODLOC = SUM( "PROJECTEDINVENTORY@PERPRODLOC" )
Input Key Figure : PROJECTEDINVENTORY@PERPRODLOC
PERIODID0@PERPRODLOC2 = "PERIODID0"  + 1
Input Key Figure : BEGINNINGONHAND@PERPRODLOC
PERIODID@PERPRODLOC2  =     "PERIODID"  + 1
Input Key Figure : BEGINNINGONHAND@PERPRODLOC
See error log attached

Hi Alecsandra,
We are configuring ACTUALSQTYPRIORYR (already available) and ACTUALSQTYPRIORTOPRIORYR (configuring). In this case we are using same PL PERPRODCUST1 and I am using PERIODID1 for ACTUALSQTYPRIORTOPRIORYR calculation but does not work.
Why do we need to set the PERIODID twice, in PERIODID0 and PERIODID?
PERIODID0@PERPRODCUST1 =  "PERIODID0"  + 12
Input Key Figure : ACTUALSQTYPRIORYR@PERPRODCUST
PERIODID@PERPRODCUST1 = "PERIODID"  + 12
ACTUALSQTYPRIORYR@PERPRODCUST

  • Key figure Period Value TC has a difference of 123,445- IDR in roundingstep

    Hi,
    Pls suggest some tips, to resolve this, as I am struck in Currency Translation;
    Diagnosis
While checking the rounding conditions for key figure Period Value TC a difference of 123,445- IDR was found in step Balance Sheet.
    System Response
The data will not be rounded.
    Procedure
Examine the data to be rounded with regards to the key figure to be checked, Period Value TC. Check whether the rounding condition has been met for this key figure.
Make sure that the check looks at the total balance of posting levels 00, 01, and 10 (as opposed to the rounding algorithm, which rounds each posting level separately).
If the same message (with different differentials) appears elsewhere, please note that the check is performed for each subassignment value of those subassignments that have a selected default indicator in the differential account assignment. In this case, check the customizing settings for method step Balance Sheet.

    Hi CSM Reddy,
The content of this forum is rather rich and contains a lot of questions and solutions given already.
So, I'm kindly remind you about searching functionality.
You could find, for example, this link:
    SEM-BCS: Currency translation
A little remark. Disbalance may occur because of different reasons. So, first of all try to run the RFD validation. If the validation does end with errors, especially an error on the check that compares RE in B/S and NI in P&L, run the reclass (2nd one) mentioned in the link.
If such a check is green, then go for another reclass (the 1st in the link) which will round the balance. Usually, I run it in a test mode first, in order to see how much differences the system discovered. If they are not material, I round them. If they are, then it'd better to investigate the reason.
    Hope this helps.

  • Non cumulative key figure and fiscal period 13

    Hi,
We have defined a non cumulative key figure. In the cube, the non
cumulative characteristic is the fiscal period (0FISCPER).
This non cumulative key figure works fine from period 1 to 12, but
    displays nothing for period 13 (and 14, 15, 16).
We want to display the balance for the special periods 13 to 16, Is
there a way to do it?
    Thanks,
    Gabriel

    Hi,
Yes I am sure, there are some amounts posted in period 13. And even if there are no amount posted, there was a balance in period 12, so the balance should stay the same in month 13.
The balance in month 1 of the next year is correct: balance of period 12 + amount posted in periods 12, 13...

  • Offset on Fiscal Period

    Hi
I am trying to compare Prior Year vs Current year revenues for a particular period. My input parameter is Fiscal period.
I have created two Restricted key figures.
First one is Revenue key figure restricted by Fiscal period. (User input period)
Second one is Revenue key figure restricted by Fiscal period with offset -12.
But I am getting same results in both columns though Cube has data for two fiscal periods.
For e.g. If user enter 007/2010 i need to see revenues for 007/2010 and 007/2009.
But i am getting revenues for 007/2010 in both columns.
Do I need to use Exit variables or will it work with Offset?
    Thank you
    Sree

    Hello Sree,
I think you can easily get this by using structure for fiscal periods.
Try to visualize the query designer structure as:
    Revenue
         Structure
               Fiscal period
               Fiscal period - 12
This will give you the output in format
    Revenue
    2010   2009
    xxx      yyy

  • Setting the values of the key figures

    Hi,
I have a problem in a query. There is a variable chosen with a range for 0calmonth. For the two of the key figures, I need to restrict the key figure to the first period and for the other key figure I need to restrict to the last period. However, what I need more is that if in the restricted period there is no value for that key figure it should get the first period that it has a value. For example:
    Our variable set as: 02.2006   -  05.2006
    And our data is
         CalMonth          KeyFig1     KeyFig2
    A     02.2006                 0            7
    A     03.2006                 0           8
    A     04.2006                 4            9
    A     05.2006                  5            0
I want to see in the query as:
                  KeyFig1    KeyFig2
    A              4                9
When I add the results with first value and last value, I can see these figures in the general results section. But this time I have to hide the key figures and show only the results section.
Any idea on preparing such a query?
    Thanks in advance...

  • Hide Key figures in report but show result

    Hi all,
I have a query with GL Account in the rows and Fiscal Period and the key figures in the colums, so the key figures are displayed per fiscal period. One of the key figures I want to be hidden for every individual period. However I do want to display the result for that key figure over the different periods.
Any suggestions on how to do that?
    thanks,
    Bart

    hi,
In the rows I have characteristic GL account and in the colums I have characteristic fiscal year/period and 3 key figures: a formula called 'mutations' and 2 hidden key figures called 'Total debit postings' and 'Total credit postings'. 'Mutations' is 'Total debit postings' -'Total credit postings'. Because Fiscal year/period is in the colums the mutations are displayed per period. What I want to be able to see is both the sum of the mutations over all periods and the average of the mutations over all periods.

  • Restricted key figure for more than one key figure

    hi all
i want to restrict almost three keyfigures based on the  same posting period. So instead of creating restricted key figures for each key figures can i create a RKF for all the three key figures based on the same posting period.
Is there any way i can do that.
    thanks and regards
    vijaykumar

    hello Chandra,
if those are the only 3 keyfigures in the query, you can have posting period restricted to the required period in the filter area( if u dont want to the period to be displayed) or else you can restrict the period in the rows/free chars area too.
you can restrict the posting period using variable with period value as a user input value.
If there are other key figures too, then you need to create 3 diffrent restricted key figures restricted for this period.
    thanks,

  • Virtual Key Figure - Cumulation

    Hi all,
I am trying to cumulate a virtual key figure for all fiscal periods one by one but I want to sort the Fiscal periods in the badi RSR_OLAP_BADI as if the fiscal periods are not sorted then the cumulation does not happen correctly.Could anybody please guide how to access the entire data set of the query in the badi COMPUTE method...What I am getting is only a record by record access in the method.

While Generating the Query it goes to the Break Point , but not where key figure is getting calculated.
But after that if i execute Query still its teh same

  • Hiding different characteristic columns for 2 separate key figures - Part 1

    Hi,
I am defining an input ready query for Integrated Planning. The aggregation level and layout in BEx Query Designer are as follows:
    Company Code - Column
    Business Area - Column
Chart of Accounts - Column (Hidden)
G/L Account - Column (with Hierarchy display based on FSV enabled)
Fiscal Year Variant - Column (Hidden)
    Fiscal Year - Column (Hidden)
Fiscal Year / Period - Row
Budget (Custom Key Figure like 0BALANCE) - Row
LV Budget (Custom Key Figure like 0BALANCE) - Row
The output is as follows (for three months, without hierarchy display for ease of understanding):
                                             LV Budget                      Budget
    CCode  Bus Area  G/L Account  FY/Period  Jan 2010  Feb 2010  Mar 2010   Jan 2010  Feb 2010  Mar 2010
    ABC    1100      1022514                 1000.00   1500.00   2000.00    1200.00   1600.00   2200.00
    ABC    1100      1022515                 1100.00   1600.00   2100.00    1300.00   1700.00   2300.00
So far so good. The KF are input ready and I am able to save values. The problem is that the business requirement is for a different number of columns to be displayed for LV Budget and Budget, i.e. LV budget is only maintained for, say the first 2 months and budget is maintained for 3 months. Ideally the output should be 2 columns (Jan and Feb 2010) for LV Budget and 3 columns for Budget (Jan - Mar 2010). Currently, I am getting 3 columns each for LV Budget and Budget (Jan - Mar 2010).
I have tried removing Fiscal Year / Period from the drilldown (across) and creating a structure with five selections, 2 for LV Budget and 3 for Budget with the appropriate selections accordingly:
    Key Figure = LV Budget, Fiscal Year Variant = K4, FY / Period = 001.2010 - 002.2010
    Key Figure = Budget, Fiscal Year Variant = K4, FY / Period = 001.2010 - 003.2010
The issue is that the query is no longer input ready if FY / Period is removed as a drilldown across. I have tried adding it to the new structure but it gives rise to three columns for each selection, two of them blank (the ones for other FY / Periods than the one specified in the selection), for example:
    LV Budget   Jan 2010 Feb 2010 Mar 2010   Jan 2010 Feb 2010 Mar 2010
                1000.00                               1500.00

    Hi,
Just try swapping Key figures with Fiscal/Year period in your basic structure (the very first one)
    I hope it will help.
    Thanks,
    S

  • Key Figures By Fiscal Period Dissappear -

Some Back Ground on the problem query.
I have 4 calculated key figures. Each one represents 4 quarters of a year. Each one is a sum of three RKF’s. For example CKF1 (Quarter1) is a sum of RKF1 (Period I), RKF2(Period2), RKF3(Period3).  I have created a key figure node for each of the CKF’s and assigned the RKF’s accordingly. So Quarter 1(CKF1) when expanded will contain the period 1(RKF1), 2(RKF2) and 3(RKF3).
    Scenario 1
I have the nodes of the CKF set to collapse by default.
I run the query, no issues, the RKF's nicely roll up to the quarters and they show up in the CKF column.  But when i expand the quarters, for example the 1st quarter CKF, the values for each of the RKF do not show.
    Scenario 2
I have the nodes of the CKF se to expand by default.
I run the query, no issues. This time, the quarters (CKF's) and the individual periods(RKF's) both show up. No problem.
But when I collapse any quarter (CKF) and expand, RKF's disappear.
Summary: When I expand or collapse a node, the key figures under the node disappear.
I am leaning towards researching on some OSS notes for this. If anyone has come across this issue and already know an OSS note, please let me know.
    Thanks a Ton!.
    Vamsee.

    Hi,
I hope, you are entering  values 009.2006 to 011.2006 for the variable "From Fiscal Year/period to To Fiscal year/period". Am I right?
If so, Donot restrict the fiscal year period with "From Fiscal Year/period to To Fiscal year/period like as you mentioned:--
<i>Above this Structure have kept Fiscal year/period info object with variable "From Fiscal Year/period to To Fiscal year/period.This is because i need period wise breakup.</i>
To get the break up Priod wise, taking Fiscal year period characterstics above  the structure is sufficient with ou any restriction.
Under the characterstic fiscal year period take two KF (same kf called SALES QTY two times with different heading like " last year Actual sales" and "current year Actual sales ") . First KF will be restricted with customer exit varible on Fiscal year period characterstic. Second KF will be restricted with user entry varible on Fiscal year period characterstic.
In case if you enter the value 009.2006 to 011.2006 as the iput to user entry varible, the code should generate the value 009.2005 to 011.2005 to Customer exit varible.

  • Use of key figure based on period

    Hello All,
I have 2 key figures in my multiprovider, e.g. Actual Amount and Budget Amount.  I need to display one of the key figure based on period.  Reports have January to December columns.  Now, if current period is October, I have to display Actual Amount from January to October.  For future periods i.e. November & December, I need to show Budget Amount.
Can anoybody please provide a solution for this?  How should I proceed?
    Thanks and Kind regards,
    Ajay

    HI Ajay
Looks like you are creating a Capital Forecasting report. In order to show amounts period by period what you need to do is
    - Create one key figure for actual amount which might be based on 0Amount key figure with Debit/Credit indicator as S. (If this is not the case then please do so according to your requirement)
    - Create one key figure for Budget amount (according to your requirement)
    - Create one customer exit "Formula" variable called actual indicator. This variable will be populated with a number of 1 to 12 for each record in your cube based on the user entered month. i.e. if user enters October. assume your cube has 12 records one for each month the first 10 records will be populated with 1 and the records for Nov and Dec will be populated with a 0.
    - Create one customer exit "Formula" variable called Forecast indicator. This variable will be populated with a number of 1 to 12 for each record in your cube based on the user entered month. i.e. if user enters October. assume your cube has 12 records one for each month the first 10 records will be populated with 0 and the records for Nov and Dec will be populated with a 1.
    - Create a calculated key figure that is defined as (Actual Amount)Actual indicator + (Forecast Amount)Forecast Indicator.
    - Create twelve restricted key figures with the CKF created in the previous step restricted with the month (Jan to Dec)
    - Add the above created twelve RKFs in the query.

  • Problem with BI-IP and Offsets in Fiscal Period/Year

    Hi freinds,
I got a request that is linked to BI-IP and Query design.
The request is that the users should always see a complete year by Fiscal Periods (001.2010...012.2010).
Now the BI-IP should be dynamic. This means in 007.2010 the user should plan 008.2010...012.2010, the previous month are supposed to be the actuals.
Problem: I do not want to change the query each month in order to move the planning month. I tried to use an offset with 11 month actuals. Saying "current month/Year", -1,-2,...,-11 using 11 restricted key figures. Same I did for the planning month. I now limited the Data to 2010 in the filter and anywhere I could. However, the result columns are showing all 22 Month. 001.2010...007.2010 are the only once which carry data. all other columns are empty.
I just do not want to see the columns that do not belong to the current year.
Any ideas or How to's I can use?
    Thanx and best regards
    Joerg

Sorry, but I can't imagine how that should work.
I have two Cubes combined under a Multicube. One containing the Actuals and one for the Forecasts. To show the actuals I have to create a restricted key figure that shows the actuals and for the forecast I have to select differently.
What is the exit variable supposed to do? I could use a SAP Provided variable to find out about the first month and the actual month, but since it will be a restricted keyfigure it will be shown as sum between the two month. I need for each month of the year a column, and the "open" Month should be input ready. And this should be dynamic.
    Thanks for helping

    Hi Experts,

    eg:
If I enter 03,2009 as Input the reuslt should give from financiual year starting to current month.
         11.2008      12.2008     1.2009     2.2009     3.2009        average
             11          10       12       10        10         10.6
             10         10       11       12        10         10.6
    total         21         20       23       22        20          21.2
we have only one characteristic in rows... companycode.
    Waiting for your Inputs.
    Regards
    Prasad Nannuri

no it will work for u
you have to use variable on 0calmonth or fiscal period depending on what Time characteristic u are using.
lets say that variable is zcalmonth
it is based on 0calmonth for e.g.
now u restrict keyfigure with this variable zcalmonth with time char. = 0CALMONTH
copy and paste the restricted keyfigure
now set offset for variable in  variable selection screen dialog box = -1
    repeat this until u want
    make this variable mandatory
now at query execution user will select any value for month/year
and u will see all 5 months in result set
now there can be maximum 12 months in a year, so u end up creating only 12 restricted keyfigures.
use YEAR in restricted keyfigure too, and restrict it with YEAR VARIABLE processing by CUSTOMER EXIT = CURRENT YEAR
in this case it will automatically removes any additional values...
    for e.e.g
    YEAR = 2008 only
    User entered 6/2008
so lets say ur financial year starts in  april 2007 and ends in april 2008
    so u expect to see
    4/08
    5/08
    6/08
but u created 12 restricted keyfigures , so it will show upto
    4,5,6 months only

  • What are these Key Figures / Attributes

What are these Key Figures / Attribute? Could some one explain it?
    $$PERIODIDCU$$
    $$PERIODIDFR$$
    $$PERIODIDTO$$
For example, one of it is used in SAP2 model, for Key Figure DEMANDPLANNINGQTY.
    It has a calculation of IF("PERIODID" >= "$$PERIODIDCU$$", IF(ISNULL("DEMANDPLANNINGQTY@PERPRODCUST"),"MKTGPROMOTIONFCSTQTY@PERPRODCUST","DEMANDPLANNINGQTY@PERPRODCUST"),"ACTUALSQTY@PERPRODCUST")
    Thank you.

$$PERIODIDCU$$ is a call to look up what the current period is based on the system date plus your current period offset configuration.
So the above formula says if the period ID that you are reporting on is greater than equal to the current period in the system (taking into consideration any offsets you may have configured), then do the subsequent logic.
I haven't seen the "FR" and "TO" syntax for period id, but I can only assume they are related to some sort of "from" and "to" range for period id.

  • Open sales orders key figure in APO

    HI Gurus,
Can anyone please throw some light as to where i need to be looking in this scenario. Our BW resource extracts open sales order quantity from ECC and loads into APO DP. The issue that i'm seeing is the open sales order quantity key figure is not getting updated properly in APO. For example to begin with we have a quantity of 800 EA in the period of 12/2014 (we go by fiscal period and in this case 12 would represent September 2014), 01/2015(October 2014), 02/2015(November 2014). The customer service group has deleted the quantity completely from period 12/2014 (September 2014) in ECC. But when i look in the planning book in APO, i can still see the quantities in the periods of 12/2014, 01/2015 and 02/2015. I was expecting the quantity from the period of 12/2014 to not showup in APO as it has been deleted in ECC. Our BW resource also confirms that he has loaded it properly in APO. Where can i start looking to resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Ravi

Dear Subhash, Thanks for your reply and i apologize as APO DP is new to me and i'm picking up things, can you please guide me to which tcode should i be going and checking this. Also reloading the planning area can you xplain a little more please
Okay i have checked in the tcode /SAPAPO/TSCUBE and this is setup in the process chain for us which runs once a month on the opening day of the period. I hope this is what you were referring to?
Under the key figure assignment in TSCUBE tcode, i see that the 'Add data" check box is not checked under Target area.
