Scheduling Xcelsius report in Infoview for SWF format

Experts,
Can I know how do I schedule Xcelsius report in Infoview for SWF format.
My report is ready and user wanted this report everyday morning.
I am refreshing it manually and sending him.
I want to write flash file in a share location.
Please help me.
Thanks

Hi,
Unfortunately, scheduling of the swf files are not possible at the moment.
You can manually export the swf to a network location.
Thanks,
Amit

  • Error while scheduling DESKI report in infoview

I m scheduling a DESKI report to users enterprise inbox from infoview using a server group. This server group has DesktopIntelligence Job server, Destination Job server, Adaptive Job server and Program Job servers and all these servers are running.
When I schedule the report to boldusers enterprise inboxbold it get failed and shows this error message
bolddestination DLL disabled. []: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp] bold
I m wondering what has to be enabled for scheduling a report to infoview's own inbox.

    Abhilash
You are correct that it shows all the prompts but only when we run the report either directly from the CR Designer or via View on Demand in Infoview/CMC.
But if I try to schedule an instance of this report, I am getting a check box in the parameter section which says "Show unused parameters" to see this dyanamic prompt. And When I check that box in Infoview still I am not able to select any value for this prompt as it's greyed out.
Hope I am able to explain my query to you.
Also attached a screen shot of the scenario for your reference.

  • Integrate Xcelsius Report in WebDynpro for ABAP

    Hi all,
I would like to integrate Xcelsius reports into WD for ABAP. This shouldn't be a problem if using EHP1 in ERP backend.
But what I would to do is to influence the report's behaviour. E.g. by clicking on a button I want the report to change.
Is it possible to trigger events from WD ABAP into an integrated Xcelsius report?
    Regards

I believe this is a duplicate question to another thread, but SAP supplies both a Flex 2 and Flex 3 version of the FlashIslands SWC.  Just use the Flex 2 library.

  • Scheduling Crystal report from Infoview portal doesn't show up data

"The crystal report is based on a SAP BI query. The parameters of the report are basically the parameters(SAP variables) of the SAP BI query. When we run the crystal report in the CR Report Designer tool, it runs fine showing all the data correctly. Then we published the crystal report to the Crystal Enterprise Server from the SAP BI system. Through the Infoview portal, the user clicks on the 'Schedule' link for the report and sets the parameters. When the 'Schedule' button is clicked, it runs successfully but no data is seen in the report except for the template. But under the same report, in Infoview portal, if the user selects "View" link, sets the parameters and then clicks the 'Execute' button, it runs successfully showing all correct data.
Dont understand why it works for 'View' link but doesn't work for 'Schedule' link. Is there any setting that needs to be made for this?"
    Thanks in advance,
    Sri

Once you tick the schedule button the History window opens and you should see your instance. Status is usually pending and after a refersh (scheduled for run now) you should get the status running/successfull or failed. What is your status here and what happend if you tick on the instance once you get the status successfull?

    Hi Sri,
When we are able to see the report and unable to schedule the report with in the Info view, then check with the user rights.
Just try to login with admin account and try to schedule the report.
Also check the report in CMC and see the preview of the report.
If the user doesn't have enough rights to schedule the report, then  it doesn't allow it.
Also check with in the Folder rights with in the report is saved.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Error when trying to schedule a report in infoview

If i try to schedule a report and set the format to PDF and destination to specific email recipients and click the schedule button. i get the following error An error has occurred: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The viewer could not process an event. Error in File Buyer Status:

The interesting thing is that I have a test platform where all my reports work correctly.  However, all these reports fail with the error message on my production platform.
On the production platform, I can run these reports from CMC without any errors.  I suspect that something about my Single Sign-On to database configuration is not correct.
So far, I have been unable to detect any significant differences between the working test platform and the failing production platform.

    Hi,
I am new to this environment. I would like to try and schedule a report monthly with dates (that will change from month to month). ie first and last day of previous month. Is there an easy way of achieving this automatically?

Needed to do the same thing, with lots of different date ranges - month to date, year to date, last month, last week, fiscal year, etc.  Came up with a solution that takes a bit to set-up but then is re-usable and flexible.  I'll do my best to try and explain. 1)  Within the universe, created a "CurrentDate" derived table that calculates various points in time (yesterday, first of the week, last of the week, first of last month, last of last month, etc.).  Because the product would not let me use an unlinked table in calculations, I used a common table as the "from" in the SQL and included a common identifier so I could link the derived table to an existing table in the universe - I selected a small one with only a few records.  Using Oracle here, not SQL, so you'd need to modify to use SQL date functions, and add/delete the calculations you need:select distinctcommonidentiferfield, trunc(sysdate) as CurrentDate,trunc(sysdate)-1 as Yesterday,trunc(sysdate)1 as Tomorrow, case  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=2 then trunc(sysdate)-3  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=1 then trunc(sysdate)-2  else trunc(sysdate)-1  end as PriorWorkDay,case  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=6 then trunc(sysdate)3  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=7 then trunc(sysdate)2  else trunc(sysdate)1  end as NextWorkDay,case  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=5 then trunc(sysdate)4  when to_char(sysdate,'D')=6 then trunc(sysdate)4  else trunc(sysdate)2  end as TwoWorkDaysFromToday, trunc(sysdate,'D') as StartThisWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')6 as EndThisWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')-7 as StartLastWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')-1 as EndLastWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')7 as StartNextWeek,trunc(sysdate,'D')13 as EndNextWeek, trunc(sysdate,'MM') as FirstOfThisMonth,trunc(last_day(sysdate)) as LastOfThisMonth,trunc(last_day(add_months(sysdate,-2))1) as FirstOfLastMonth,trunc(last_day(add_months(sysdate,-1))) as LastOfLastMonth, case  when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)1  else extract(year from sysdate)  end as CurrentFiscalYear,to_date(concat('07/01/',case                          when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)                          else extract(year from sysdate)-1                          end),'mm/dd/yyyy') as StartCurrentFiscalYear,to_date(concat('23:59:59 06/30/',case                                   when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)+1                                   else extract(year from sysdate)                                   end), 'hh24:mi:ss mm/dd/yyyy') as EndCurrentFiscalYear, case  when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)  else extract(year from sysdate)-1  end as LastFiscalYear,to_date(concat('07/01/',case                          when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)-1                          else extract(year from sysdate)-2                          end),'mm/dd/yyyy') as StartLastFiscalYear,to_date(concat('23:59:59 06/30/',case                                   when extract(month from sysdate)>=07 then extract(year from sysdate)                                   else extract(year from sysdate)-1                                   end), 'hh24:mi:ss mm/dd/yyyy') as EndLastFiscalYearfromsmallexistingtable 1a)  Link the derived "CurrentDate" table to smallexistingtable using
your commonidentiferfield (at least I had to do this, though everything
parsed ok in designer, when used in a query unlinked, it screamed quite
unhappily which is why I ended up basing the query on
smallexistingtable and linking). 2)  Created a "Dates" class and objects for each date in the above table, ie. "Current Date", "Yesterday", "Tomorrow", "First of last month", "Last of last month"3)  Created an object called Prompt - Date Range - Start Date.  This prompts the user to select the date range type they want and also allows for "custom" date ranges for on-demand reports.  For scheduled reports, you just select your response as part of the scheduled instance.casewhen @Prompt('Select records for','A',{'Today','Yesterday','Tomorrow','Prior Work Day','Next Work Day','Today - Date Selection that is used to select the appropriate records based on your record date being within the date range selected:@Select(My Date Field) between @Select(Prompt Fields\Prompt - Date Range - Start Date) and @Select(Prompt Fields\Prompt - Date Range - End Date)6)  When you create your query, just use the filter created in step 5.  I also usually include the Prompt - Date Range - Start Date and Prompt - Date Range - End Date objects so that I can use them min(Prompt - Date Range - Start Date) and max(Prompt - Date Range - End Date) in the report header to display the actual date range selected (all the value in Prompt - Date Range - Start Date are exactly the same, I use the min to avoid multiple value errors - same for Prompt - Date Range - End Date, I use max just because logically my brain likes that better).  When you refresh the query, it will ask what date range type you want, a start date and end date - used for custom ranges - you can enter any date if not selecting a custom date as it is ignored. Hope that makes sense and is helpful.  It's worked really well for me.  I also have an even more complicated version (imagine that!) for situations where there may be multiple dates a user can choose from, ie a posting date vs the date of service.  It will ask the user which they want and in the Prompt - Date Range - Start Date, a case statement is added to handle the selection/use of different date fields.Deb

  • Unable to edit values of Unused paramters while scheduling a report in Infoview

    Hi
I have a crystal report which is using a Cascading Dynamic Parameter (LOV in BVM) e.g. Country -> State > City.
I have not used Parameter Country anywhere in my report formulas but have used State and City.
When I publish the report on BO Repository, I get prompted for all the parameters when I select View on Demand. However When I try to schedule an instance of the same report It becomes Unused Parameters and am not able to edit their values.
Can you please advise me on this, how can I Schedule an instance of this report.

  • Error Message when Scheduling a report in Infoview

I have created a report in Crystal Report using the Universe.  Report is saved to the Enterprise and set up to schedule in Infoview.
When the report is scheduled for now or any other "when" time, I receive the error message:
"Error in File C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Data\procSched\tfcu-fics.reportjobserver\~tmp58860bbee30730.rpt: Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters."
Currently running CR Version - 11.5.0313
    BOE Version - 11.5
On my workstation - the ODBC connection, System DSN, for crystal is using the Adaptive Server Anywhere 9.00 driver - have no issues creating the report from the Universe.
On the server the ODBC connection, System DSN, for crystal is using the SQL Anywhere 10 driver.  Would using the SQL Anywhere 10 driver create the error message above?
To test this I changed the workstation System DSN connection for crystal to SQL Anywhere 10 and when trying to refresh a report created from the Universe I kept receiving the ODBC Login window asking for the database password.
Is there an issue with SQL Anywhere 10 and a Universe not holding the database username or password?

    Try This..
    1. Open the crystal client on your local machine and import that particular report.
    2. Do Database -> Verify Database. Then refresh the report on your PC and make sure that it returns data as expected.
    3. Export it back to repository and try scheduling it again. You can verify through CMC for Crystal Reports under " Database Configuration" property to make sure it points to the right ODBC.
    Let us know.

  • Scheduling not working in InfoView for printing or email

I recently upgraded from Crystal Report Server XI R1 to Crystal Report Server 2008. My schedules for reports were lost. I rescheduled some using infoview. They ran as scheduled but would not print or email. I had to reschedule them using CMC. They then worked. Is there a configuration setting to allow scheduling to work in info view? Is this a security issue. I was logged on to infoview as admin.

You may want to check the job server settings to ensure that Email is an authorized output.

  • Scheduling of reports in Infoview

I have two reports scheduled at 7 :00 am & 04:00 am.I need to overwrite the report scheduled at 07:00 am.What do i need to do
so that only one report schedules at 7:00 AM

I understand that there is only 1 report template but still unlcear if there are 2 instances: one that schedules at 4 and one that schedules at 7.
    1. If you ave 2 instances, once that schedules at 4 and one that schedules at 7, it is fairly simple , just query for the instance scheduled at 7 and delete it.
    e.g
    oInfoObjects = (IInfoObjects) oInfoStore.query("select si_id from ci_infoobjects where si_id = < recurring instance ID>;
    ((IInfoObject)oInfoObjects.get(0).deleteNow();
    oInfoStore.commit(oInfoObjects)
You can use query builder to get the SI_ID of the recurring instance that schedules around 7 using:
    select SI_IS, SI_NAME, SI_RECURRING, SI_NEXT_RUNTIME from ci_infoobjects where si_name='<report template name>' and si_recurring=1
here the SI_NEXT_RUNTIME should be around 7 AM.
    2. If you have a single recurring instance that schedules at 4 and at 7, are you using calendar to schedule it? Because if the recurrence is chosen like daily at the 3 Hr interval, how did you manage to get only 2 runs a day rather than 8 ( 24/3)?
Any ways use query builder to query for this instance. You will need to delete some property bag in the IS_SCHEDULEINFo that corresponds to 7 AM schedule.

  • Scheduling Report through InfoView - Destination Email

My question pertains to InfoView in Crystal Report Server 2008.  I am trying to set up a scheduled report to run once, and be emailed as a pdf to my own email address.  I am using the administrator account and can successfully do this through the CMC, but when I try to schedule the report through InfoView, the destination always reverts back to the Inbox destination rather than the email destination.  The job has a successful status, but the destination is always the Inbox.
I am fairly confident my job servers are set up with the proper SMTP information since I am successful when trying this through the CMC and I am setting everything the same through InfoView.
    Any ideas?

    Hello,
This is Crystal Report Server 2008 and I guess Business Objects Enterprise 3.0.
When scheduling a report through InfoView I do the following:
    Recurrence - Now
Format - I choose PDF, although it doesn't really matter for the problem I am having.
Destination - I choose email from the dropdown, there is no checkbox to ignore the defaults.  I have to input my own information.  I populate the From, To, and Subject boxes.  I also choose to have an attachment sent.
I click the Schedule button and I am taken to the History window.  The job has a status of Running.  I choose refresh and the job completes with a status of Success.  However, when I click the status and the Instance Details are shown, the external destination line reads as Inbox and no email is delivered.  The report is delivered to the InfoView user's inbox, but not in an email as I selected.
This process works when performed through the CMC, but not through InfoView.

  • Can Tivoli (TWS) be used for scheduling WebI reports in BO XI 3.1?

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to schedule WebI reports to refresh using TWS?
We are using BO XI 3.1 SP2 deployed on unix and would like to use TWS to refresh WebI reports that are built on SAP BW Bex queries.  Does anyone have any experience scheduling WebI reports using TWS with XI 3.1?  Any information you can provide would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Derek

    Hi
I can think of two options:
    1) You define in BO CMC external events  and schedule your reports to wait for them. In the TWS you can schedule an OS script to create the file that triggers the BO external event. The reports will run only after the file is created.
    2) You write  a java program that uses the BOBJ SDK in order to schedule immediately your reports. In the TWS you create a scedule that starts the java program. (You can find examples how to use the SDK here http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/samples )
