Scripting WLC show commands (ie show client detail) every x seconds/minutes

Is there a simple way to script using either a terminal client (putty, teraterm, etc.) or Prime Infrastructure whereby I could set up a set of commands to be run at a certain interval?
I want to conduct some client testing roaming across a site whilst some how performing a show client detail every 15 seconds and a show run-config every 30 minutes?
TIA,
Nick

Is there a simple way to script using either a terminal client (putty, teraterm, etc.) or Prime Infrastructure whereby I could set up a set of commands to be run at a certain interval?
Yes you can.
The easiest method is to use console.  You can knock up a script to run the command at specific intervals and log the outputs.  If you do this, you must ensure the console timeout is expanded.
Another option is to create a PERL script (using KRON) to telnet/SSH into the appliance and run the command and retrieve the results.

  • Issue 'show hsrp detail' every 5 minutes using EEM

    Hello,
Please confirm EEM is a feasible way to accomplish this and confirm I can trigger it every few minutes.
    1. Issue a "show hsrp detail" under the respective interfaces.
    2. In the output of the "show hsrp detail", if I find "Standby router is unknown", trigger an email to the [email protected]

Yes, in Cisco IOS 'watchdog' works.
In NX-OS, that would be the 'scheduler' feature.

  • The iPad screen only shows an apple every 3 seconds. what is wrong?

Screen shows apple every three seconds.I cannot turn it off. the iPad2 is recognized by itunes when connected to computer. Will not start up or shut down.

If it keeps showing the Apple Logo every few seconds, then it is continuously trying to reload the iOS, but somehting is making it restart.  Normally, a failure should make the iPad boot into recovery mode automatically, but you may have a hardware issue that needs service.
    Try this before getting service:
    1) Plug the iPad into the computer and open iTunes.
    2) Hold the Power Button and Home button simultaneously for 10 seconds, then release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 20 more seconds or until the iTunes symbol shows on the iPad's screen.
    3) Restore the iPad using iTunes on the computer.
If you do not get the iTunes symbol on the iPad and continue to see the Apple Logo over and over even while trying these steps, your iPad will need service to get it fixed.

  • Online video players showing progress bar every 30 seconds

Sorry, i am new member of this forum. I'have joined because i have a serious problem and i think you may have the solution for this. it think all this started when i installed windows 8 on my asus laptop. Every online player does the same: after the progress (seek) bar and mouse pointer disappears automaticly when you start a video in full screen, they show up every 30 seconds after that. So, if they disappear on 0:05 seconds, they appear again on 0:35 and on 1:05 and again and again untill the end of the video. it's so annoying. can someone help me about this ? thank you...

Are your drivers (particularly network adapter) up to date for Win 8?

  • Wlc monitor client detail show wrong interface name

    Hi,
Do anyone know why I see the wrong interface name when looking at the client details?
In the shown example the interface name should have been id017_publikunm not id161_admin
The vlan nunmer 2317 and IP address 10.17.237.x is correct for id017_publikum.
I hope some one out there can help.
    Aksel,

I know its an old post but I encountered the same problem recently. What I did was I went to the same client properties and clicked on the remove button. It removed the association and when I filtered for the same client mac address I could see it has connected to the correct interface. So it was getting the correct IP Address also.............problem solved :)

I've upgraded our 5508 WLC's to ver 7.6.100.0.  I've also upgraded our NCS to 2.0, and our MSE to 7.6.100.0.  I now can no longer see clients on the MSE map for our sites.  I've added the WLC to the MSE syncronization.  When I select "show clients" it says 0 of 0 found.  I know I have clients connected, since I can see them in the WLC.  Is this a licensing issue?  Thanks for your help!

Make sure that NMSP is up.

On WLC console, use the show auth-list command.
The following example shows from WLC console that there is no location server available:
In order to manually add the MSE and establish a NMSP connection to WLC, complete these steps:
On the MSE console, run the cmdshell command, and then the show server-auth-info command.
This example shows the MAC address and the keyhash to be used for adding to the WLC.
Run the config auth-list add ssc command, and then run the show auth-list.
This example shows that the MSE was added to the WLC (manually).
On the NCS, confirm that the NMSP connection shows Active.

  • How do I show the details of a customer when they are logged in a secure zone?

How do I show the details of a customer when they are logged in a secure zone?
I want to show the customer details as well as some customer CRM fields that are applied to the customer. None of these are entered via a form, they would be entered by the client. The customer would need to be able to log in to view the information and get an email alert when it is updated. Help!?

    Hi,
You might want to look into customer service zones which allows customers once logged in to see their case, order and own details.

  • Webapps.  How can I create a link to a page instead of showing the details-view

I want my client to define what page a webapp shall point to in list-view, instead of showing the  details view, but I cant figure out how.  I have tried this, but it seams that tags don't work inside links:
    <a href="{tag_my_custom_link}">{tag_name}</a>
.. does any one know how to do this?

The problem is the format of your tag.  If your field name in the web app is "My Custom Link" then your tag is {tag_My Custom Link} (note the spaces).
Cedric is right though, make sure the field is a textfield and not a hyperlink field in your web app.  If you use BC's new "Develop" tab up top you can navigate to your web app detail layout in /Layouts/Web Apps/<yourwebapp> and find "list.html".  Then, you can use the toolbox on the right (click the data tab) to insert tags without having to guess.  You can choose your custom field and insert the tag.

  • Need script to show hidden field if number =568845

    Hi All
Using Acrobat 9.1 Pro on iMac with OS 10.6.8
I am working on a fillable form and need a script to show a hidden field when a button is clicked.
I have set up a number field to type in a number and the hidden field is"text1"
Now I need a script for the button to only open the hidden field if the number field =568845
That way the client can fill in the code and then show and type in the field.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Ron

    Hi
The field is hidden to begin with.
Someone will fill out the form with all the other fields.
But they will not be able to see the hidden field.
When they email the form to my client, the client will type the number into the number field.
Then the button to show the hidden field will have an if then statement that if the number field has the right number typed in then the button will show the hidden field, otherwise it will not be shown.
It doesn't have to be a number, it could a word or name.
All I need is the script for the if then statement.
I am trying to use this script, but it doesn't work.
    if (event.value == 'Yes') { this.getField ('Hidden_Field').display = display.visible } else { this.getField('Hidden_Field').display = display.hidden }

  • Report showing IQ03 Details

I am looking for a report that shows IQ03 details in a report view. The details I need from this transaction are:
    Material #
    Serial #
    Asset #
    System Status
    Status with Status No.
    Status w/o Status No.
    Last Event
    Last Event Date
Does anybody know of a report in SAP that can give me a view of this? I do the asset accounting but I am not very familiar with the inventory transactions. The only unique identifier I know of is a combination of the material # and the serial #. I want to be able to put in a plant or cost center and see all of the material attached to that criteria. Let me know if anybody has any suggestions. Thanks,
    Kendall

  • Events script not showing up in designer

I am working on a form using ES4 version 11 and when I try to view the Javascript code for the events nothing shows up.  I also cannot preview the form using the preview tab.  It just hangs.  When I quit and restart the form sometimes the script code shows up.  Any idas what may be causing this?

    Hi,
This does happen to me sometimes, I'm guess that sometimes when an exception is thrown in one of the early events then the preview fails and the only way to recover is to restart Designer.
Try going to the temp directory, just type "%temp%" (without the quotes in the Windows Explorer address bar), you should see a PDF file with a generated name something like, _12fk26d9o1adb71lh.pdf.  This is the file Designer generates when trying to do a preview.  Open this file in Acrobat (with the "When Exception is thrown" option set to break) and you should see what is causing the exception.
    Good luck
