SECRET CODES

Mobile Codes can be used in your Nokia phone to show some of the informations which cannot be seen through any other menus available.
They also provide you with more functionalities. Using these secret mobile codes you can increase the productivity of your Nokia mobile.
So here is the list of all those codes.
Nokia X2
On the main screen type in:
*#06# for checking the IMEI
(International Mobile Equipment
Identity).
*#7780# reset to factory
settings.
*#67705646# This will clear the
LCD display(operator logo).
*#0000# To view software
version.
*#2820# Bluetooth device
address.
*#746025625# Sim clock
allowed status.
#pw+1234567890+1# Shows if
sim have restrictions.
*#92702689# – takes you to a secret menu where you may find some of the information below:
1. Displays Serial Number.
2. Displays the Month and Year
of Manufacture
3. Displays (if there) the date where the phone was purchased (MMYY)
4. Displays the date of the last repair – if found (0000)
5. Shows life timer of phone (time passes since last start)
*#3370# – Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) activation. Increase signal strength, better signal
reception. It also help if u want to use GPRS and the service is not responding or too slow.
Phone battery will drain faster though.
*#3370* – (EFR) deactivation.
Phone will automatically restart.
Increase battery life by 30% because phone receives less signal from network.
*#4720# – Half Rate Codec activation.
*#4720* – Half Rate Codec deactivation. The phone will automatically restart If you forgot wallet code for Nokia S60 phone, use this code reset: *#7370925538#
Note, your data in the wallet will be erased. Phone will ask you the lock code. Default lock code is: 12345

Those are no secrets, and many of them even outright printed in the phone's User Guide (or at least has been printed for some models), and all of them have been floating around on the web and discussion forums for at least 10 years now.
They've also been discussed/described on these forums many times over.
Some of them, like the voice codec selection codes, or the wallet code (Nokia removed the wallet app from their phones maybe 4-5 years ago) might have had an effect on phones made years ago, but are not really valid/relevant on todays networks and phones.

HELP! Mail sync not working because of secret code (???)

Hi all,
My iPhone 3G is syncing with my Exchange Server (SBS 2003) only for the calendar and the contacts. The email is not syncing but at least the iPhone is trying to get the emails. It searches for a while and then prompt me for a password. The exact message is:
"Incorrect Secret Code / Enter the password for 'srenou'".
'srenou' is the name i've given to my exchange setup on the iphone.
Two weird things:
a) the iphone/exchange setup has been correctly done and the domain account given for connection is working fine as it authenticated me correctly and gets contacts/calendar items ok.
b) when prompted, if I type in my domain account password, it does not work and prompt me again and again and never sync the emails.
I'm guessing the solution is not complex, but I can't figure it out, could you help me please?

I found the solution looking at the Deployment guide. The answers was to remove the domain name from the account information on the iPhone Exchange setup. So instead of domain/username, I just have now username and the emails are syncing fine.

Secret code that unlocks hidden content

Folks - Itunes promotes their Star Trek Itunes Extra as having a "secret code that unlocks hidden content" however, after downloading it there was no information about any such "secret code". I wrote to the The iTunes Store support team who informed me they "do not provide support for offers related to secret codes or hidden content embedded within iTunes Store content." So who does? Is this false advertising? Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance!

Craigslist secret code scam?

I received a text message from craigslist saying "The secret code for (buyer's email here) is (5 digit pin). And before I really thought about it I gave the person this code, before doing some research and realizing it may be some kind of scam? I'm wondering how to remedy this situation? I already contacted craigslist via their online help section but I don't want my phone number attached to some scammer's account and have an exorbitant charge(s) on my phone bill.. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did you fix/resolve the problem? Kind of freaking out here, any and all help GREATLY appreciated.

I've recently heard that there are codes that can make voice calls cheaper, or even at no-cost. I wonder if there exist any, & what are those codes (specially for N70),& Why did the company put such codes on the phones?

Leave well alone. I've heard of this sort of thing before. It's a hoax and a way of getting your mobile phone details and using them. All you end up with is a very large bill for calls you didn't make. I suspect that the game was free but some free and paid games have in-app purches that can add up.

actually this is part of a game that i wrote.
the user enters a secret code secret (ABCDEF): abcd (say for eg)
next he enters his a guess code guess (ABCDEF):acbd (say for eg)
now the program has to give an output exact match = 2.
a=a and d=d
the code i gave in the first place is a part to increase the value of the counter.
for some reason it goes off track
the above example gives a output

Idea : iPhone on silent and lost, text a code to start an alarm ?

I've just had a fab idea after listening to the radio about a man who lost his iPhone at home due to being on silent. I'm wondering if it was at all possible for an application or something built into iOS to enable a secret code of your choosing to activate a find me alarm. Let's say via text message from your mates mobile with your secret 4 pin number or via your iPad with a find my iPhone app that's enabled on both devices. The code would over ride the mute button on your device and the handset can then be located.

If you have find my iPhone set up on it, you can force it to emit a sound, regardless of the mute switch or ringer volume settings.

I got a question. i read on many sites about a code for activate the Enhanced Full Rate Codec. the code posted on the internet is #3370# or *#3370#. the code doesn't work on some nokia phones (6 series). i want to know if that code really work or if there is an alternative secret code for activate this options.
