Sequence stopped on user interface when a sequence error happens on a step. Is possible to change this?

I'd like to know if when developing an user interface over TS using MFC, if a sequence error occurs, I get an error on the user interface and the sequence stops without giving any other option. Is possible to continue the sequence, and show as failed the sequence that caused the error?

If you are talking about the behavior of the simple operator interface example for MFC, then the reason why the error immediately causes a 'skip to clean-up' is because it is set explicitly in the code for the error case. To fully handle the error (as the sequence editor would), you would want to modify the case where the error is detected and perhaps tap into the TestStand API for Engine.DisplayRunTimeErrorDialog( ). If you are able to view the C code written for the full version of the CVI operator interface, you may want to use that as an example of how to completely handle every error.
An alternative is always to handle errors yourself. If you are interested in knowing strategies for such customizations I recommend you look into the shipping examp
les and downloadable programs for sequences leveraging the PostStepRunTimeError callback.

If you want to change the category you need to change the feed, which means changing it in WordPress. You need to pick one category and, if there is one, one sub-category from the official list here:

It is possible to have further categories, though I don't know whether WordPress will allow that, but you should put the most relevant one in first.
Once you've amended it simply re-upload the feed and wait for the Store to catch up. You don't need to resubmit.

You should setup as new.
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

Not so friend user interface when i have 3 emails to read

Hi,
i have the iphone 3gs, and os 3.1.2
find the navigation cumbersome when reading emails, i have yahoo, gmail, hotmail and office emails.
each time i wanna switch emails, i have to click back a few times, to go to the main email dashboard, and then click on my email that i need; and then click back all the way to the inbox.
not everyone has just 1 mail box
wonder if there are any 3rd party tools to improve on this?

There could be a "blended" Inbox mailbox along with a "blended" Drafts, Sent, and Trash mailbox for all accounts as with the Mail.app on a Mac. With the Mail.app on a Mac, you can open the blended Inbox mailbox to reveal the Inbox mailbox for each account. You can select an account's Inbox mailbox to reveal messages received by that account only in the message list, or select the blended Inbox to reveal all messages received by all accounts. The same for Drafts, Sent, and Trash.
Limited screen real estate on the iPhone and with the iPod Touch doesn't lend itself to this very well, but I understand something similar is available with a Blackberry.

Top menu bar, Library menu, Previews, Render 1:1 previews. It will ask you whether you want to build just one, or build all the images in the folder, or if you select All Photographs, it will build all previews for your catalog.

A hidden window opens when I move my cursor over it. How do I change this to having to click on the hidden window to open it?

It used to be if I had more than one window open, I had to click on the hidden window to bring it to the front. Now, if my cursor slides over the hidden window, that window opens. I want to change it back because it causes a problem when typing. If I put the cursor where I want to type something and then move my mouse out of the way, what I type does not show. I am not sure that this is just a Firefox problem. It may be broader.

I just updated to IOS 7 on my Ipad 2 and found out I lost the left-swipe search function. I came here, and saw info that it was moved to a down-swipe. When I swipe down, I get my calendar, not search.

You can resync stuff. But if you want your mini to be a near clone of your 2, and if you have a good backup, I'd start over.

How Do I Reset Indicators in User Interface?

I have a VI that has got out of control. I have created several test sequences that were developed, proven and built into individual VIs. I created a Main VI and placed (cut and paste) each invidual test VI into a sequencial Frame. Long story short; The main screen looks good, but the test values and status indicators do not reset everytime the test is initiated (there is no loop).
Question- How do I reset each of my indicators on my user interface when the test completes?

Try the following: Got to "VI properties...execution". Now place a checkmark for "Clear indicators when called". That might be enough.
(If you are looking for a programmatic solution create an invoke node in the first or last frame as desired, wire it to a reference to the current VI and select method "renintialize all to defaults".)

Access to ResultList objects from Labview user interface

Hi!
I would like to have access to TS Locals.ResultList[] objects from user interface (LV) after test report is generated.
According to TS Help in this point I can get sequence context for the process model sequence file which posts UIMsg_ModelState_PostProcessingComplete message.
But objects of my interest are located in context of client sequence file.
Can I get access to Locals.ResultList objects with use provided model file context?
Are there another ways to get wanted data?
I have references to sequence file and execution in this point and tried to use Execution.RunTimeVariables property.
But could not get wanted data with any supposed lookup string from this object.

The general idea is the following:
You have to keep in mind that Locals.ResultList on the model level (callstack) is simply the return value of a sequence call step (MainSequence). Therefore, you will only have this single entry [0].
To get access to the results of the steps inside you MainSequence (and any other sublevel in the callstack), you have to dig into this callstack using this "root-property":
Locals.ResultList[0].TS.SequenceCall.ResultList

Open Serial Driver VI runs in user interface thread - why?

I know the serial port compatibility functions are "phased out" and you should use the newer VISA functions - but why on earth is the open serial driver VI set to run in the user interface thread? If you happen to use these compatibility VIs your serial communication will be blocked by e.g. a user that opens the calendar view of a date and time control...- and the only reason for that is that that particular VI is running in the user interface.
Change the thread of that VI - and the serial communication runs as it should, so why is it that that particular VI, unlike all the other VIs in that library, is configured that way?

The S/N dialog is part of the process model.
For the Sequential Model (SequentialModel.seq), the default S/N dialog in found in the 'PreUUT' sub-sequence and implemented as a DLL call.
The PreUUT sub-sequence of the SequentialModel is a callback, so you can override it in your own test sequence.

CS5/CS4 GUI User Interface Design

I have always been very unimpressed with the user interface design on Adobe CS4. It's riddled with problems and changes that make no sense and offer no advantages.
For example, there is no longer a normal Windows title bar in many of the CS4 apps. This makes it much more difficult to maximize/restore applications since normally a Windows user could simply throw the mouse to the top edge of the screen and double click the title bar. In fact, doing this with CS4 apps has ZERO function (it doesn't do anything). One would think that by moving the menu commands to the top bar of the window chrome, Adobe would make these menus accessible from the top-most edge of the screen in order to increase usability. Unfortunately this is not so and clicking the top most edge of a maximized window does nothing.
Two other very important parts of an application user interface are the upper left and upper right corners. Normally when a Windows application is maximized, throwing your pointer to the upper right corner and clicking will close the application. Throwing the pointer to the upper left corner and clicking will reveal the application window menu. This happens in ALL applications... EXCEPT for Adobe CS4 programs. These two extremely important application window command locations have been completely disabled in Adobe CS4 apps. Clicking the upper most corner pixels in a maximized Adobe CS4 app does nothing.
Then there's the tabbed document window interface. If you float a document window and maximize that, normally you would expect it to become maximized within the application window as it should. Au contraire, in Adobe CS4, the document window maximizes itself ON TOP OF the application window, thus obscuring and disabling any access to the application window's tools/commands. I did report that as a bug during beta, but obviously it was ignored. Seems kind of obvious to me that the fact that a user could accidentally make the entire application completely unusable by maximizing a document window might be a problem.
It still alludes me as to why Adobe changed the CS4 user interface to something that breaks so many Windows UI conventions. Adobe CS3 was a practically perfect user interface design on Windows. It was very customizable, all of the normal Windows functions were properly in place.
What's the deal with the change?
I thought maybe the file menu was moved in place of the title bar in order to make more room for other UI elements, but it's actually pretty much the same size as the old file menu title bar combination in CS3.
With all these changes and with all the functionality losses, what exactly have we gained in the CS4 GUI? Seriously, I'm asking.
Anyway, I hope Adobe starts reading the Windows User Experience Guidelines (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa511331.aspx) and brings CS5 back to the way a Windows application should behave. Proper theme adherence would be nice too.
Which brings me to Windows 7. I love love love the way Windows 7 groups application document previews in one taskbar icon and allows aero-peek for open windows. Adobe CS 4 obviously does not support this since it does not have normal document windows. I hope CS5 does because it is a great feature. I also hope Adobe CS5 implements the Windows 7 jumplists and maybe even a more touch/multi-touch friendly interface. I've become pretty good at processing photos in Bridge using the touchscreen, and it's very cool, but it could use some improvements.

The faded transparent title bar and tabbed ribbon interface is absolutely gorgeous.

I agree with your comments! So well said!
And there are other issues, too -- by the color of the app window, you don't know if the window is active or inactive (focus or not in focus). Titles of panels which are inactive, are dark text over dark background -- hardly readable at all... And many more.
I really hope Adobe are listening...

How can I give the "user interface thread" higher priority?

We do alot of activex calls to front panels. We need to increase/decrease the priority of the user interface thread to resolve our thread problem. Anyone know how to do this?

through the VI Properties dialogue.
Another place to modify the multithreading system in LabVIEW is a VI
located at: [LabVIEW Directory]\vi.lib\Utility\sysinfo.llb\threadconfig.vi. However I do not think this will remedy any
problems you are having.

Priorities in the User Interface and
Single-Threaded Applications
Within the User Interface execution
system, priority levels are handled in the same way for single-threaded and
multithreaded applications.
In single-threaded applications and
in the User Interface execution system of multithreaded applications, the
execution system queue has multiple entry points. The execution system places
higher priority VIs on the queue in front of lower priority VIs.
If a high-priority task is running and the queue contains only lower priority
tasks, the high-priority VI continues to run. For example, if the execution
queue contains two VIs of each priority level, the time-critical VIs share execution time exclusively until both finish.
Then, the high priority VIs share execution
time exclusively until both finish, and so on. However, if the higher priority
VIs call a function that waits, the execution system removes higher priority
VIs from the queue until the wait or I/O completes, assigning other tasks
(possibly with lower priority) to run. When the wait or I/O completes, the
execution system reinserts the pending task on the queue in front of lower
priority tasks. Refer to the Synchronous/Blocking Nodes section for a list of
asynchronous functions that wait.
Also, if a high priority VI calls a lower priority subVI,
that subVI is raised to the same priority level as the caller for the duration
of that call. Consequently, you do not need to modify the priority levels of
the subVIs that a VI calls to raise the priority level of the subVI.
Thus changing the priority of your VI will change the
priority of UI calls for that particular VI.
Again, I caution you because I suspect that if you are having problems
with your application not running correctly, I do not believe that manipulating
the thread priorities will resolve these issues.
