Serial Based Drivers

Hi,
I am busy with a project that uses a serial RS232 connection, the device is the openEEG device. I have set up my macbook to utilize my USB to serial adapter and this is working fine. I now need to write a driver which will allow me to run my signal processing code map the output of this code to mouse movements. Thus I effectively need to write a serial mouse driver.
I am not sure if this is possible or not, as I don't know if you can cascade drivers. ie: There will already be a driver loaded for the usb-serial adapter now can I make this output run into my driver to be decoded and finally outputted as a mouse movement which is sent to all open applications.
If not is there another way of taking over the mouse and keyboard functionality? My other option would be to convert the openEEG platform to USB and then write a HID device driver. Can a HID device driver be used to control a mouse?
Thanks

  • Promax serial-ATA Drivers

If anyone using the Promax serial-ATA Raid, aka satamax, has the drivers, I need them. My raid won't mount after reload of OS. The Raid doesn't appear in Disk Util either.

I guess that means that they aren't a decent vendor.

I looked for a driver at http://zone.ni.com/idnet97.nsf/browse/ but was unable to find one for the Denver Instruments' Balance. National Instruments develops Instrument drivers based on demand and popularity. If it is a commercially available instrument, you can officially request one at:
    http://zone.ni.com/idnet/other.htm
We develop drivers based on demand and popularity so the more requests we have for it, the greater the possibility that we will develop one in the future.
If you would like to try developing your own instrument driver, we have documentation, model instrument drivers, and driver templates to help at :
    http://zone.ni.com/idnet/development.htm).
We also have a syndicate of third party vendors that specialize in National Instruments' produc

  • Installing windows based drivers

i'm one of the unlucky ones who has issues when installing gfx drivers on my imac for windows. my screen goes black when i do it through the dvd, so i had to update them manually. my question, is this:
since i don't have any of the drivers installed from the DVD, i can't use basic functions such as the number pad, eject button on keyboard, etc. is there a way i can manually download these drivers and install them one by one? i want to avoid having my gfx mess up and not be able to use windows (again). currently running leopard.

If you are using Bootcamp, burn the drivers CD through Bootcamp on the Mac end. When you boot back up in windows pop in the CD you just burned, it will install a most if not all the drivers you will need.

  • Non serial Invoice data based upon GRPO

    Hello Experts,
I want to made report on non serial based items.
Means i want data based upon the following way.
Suppose GRPONo 400 have three items  Item A, Item B and Item C.
and suppose Item C is non serial based item,
so i have to get sales data(A/R) of Item C for GRPONo 400 only not the different GRPONO of Item C.
    Ex:-
GRPONO     GRPODate     ITEMCode     ItemQty      SaleInvoiceNO            SaleInvoiceDate     SaleInvoiceQty
    400     12/12/2009     Item C     50                 900            15/02/2010     30
                                                                                    600            12/02/2010     20
I want only those Invoice sales data which is actually raised against particular GRPONo.
    Thanks,

    Hello Gordon,
Thanks for the reply. We are basically used FIFO method for items.
I can able to discover the solution of Serial based items from OSRI and SRI1 table.
But for non serial based items there is no way to discover that particular GRPO Item quanity has been sale against which Invoice NO???????
I want the sales data of Non serial items for particular GRPO Item quantity.
I want to show that particular GRPO qty is sold against which which invoices..
I hope you are more clear about my requirement.

  • MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR and Serial ATA Drive

I've got a very strange problem....
Yesterday i have installed my new motherboard (MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR) but i have a problem with the SATA feature.
I've got two drives : one 40GB ATA (Western Digital) and one 160GB SATA also from Western Digital.
My SATA drive is recognized by the FastTrak BIOS (v2) but i'm unable to reinstall Windows XP Professional (with SP2 Slipstreamed) because Windows Setup didn't recognize the SATA disk. I have loaded the Promise Serial ATA Drivers at the begin of the installation (F6)...
I have also tried 2 different versions of the Promise SATA Drivers; the one that cames with my motherboard CD, and the most recent from the MSI website. But with both drivers the same result. How can i get my Serial ATA Harddisk get work with this motherboard?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Computerfreakje.
PS : My specifications are the following:
MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR (Rev. 7.4)
    AMD Athlon XP 2500+
    2x 256MB Kingston PC3200 Dual Channel
    ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb (R360)
    Western Digital 40GB ATA
    Western Digital 160GB SATA

    Thanks for your reply Richard,
My motherboard didn't came with a floppy (I have bought an bulk version..) I have created a SATA floppy by myself. (I have got the drivers from the motherboard cd..) These drivers are also good, right?
Which type of RAID Array should i create? Because i have only one SATA drive.....
I think the "auto" feature is the easiest way?
    Thanks.
    Computerfreakje.

VISA is the generic communication interface.
Hyperterminal has serial comm drivers as well.  It just so happens that Hyperterminal is using the serial comm drivers that are built into Windows.  That's why you don't notice them.
If you installed LabVIEW, then you should have installed the drivers that come with it.  It is on a separate DVD.  Obviously you haven't.

  • Left Serial Track ball button doesn't aleways work in Firefox and T-bird, but works well in IE8 and other programs on this computer

    Sys=WinXP SP3, ASUS MB, Athelon X2 6000 CPU, 4 (3) gb mem.
Intac Systems mouse trak track ball. This device works fine
with all the other programs on my computer. In T-bird or Firefox
the left mouse button often doesn't work for minutes at a time
then works for a few seconds, then stops again. The right button
works all the time, even when the left has stopped, as does the
ball to move the cursor. Have reloaded the Microsoft serial
mouse drivers and tested the mouse and all is OK.

The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
You need to remove the checkmark on "Always use private browsing mode" to leave Private Browsing mode or chose the "Remember History" setting.

  • Trying to install drivers for Lexmark X4650

I've downloaded the RPM based drivers for this printer from Lexmark and am now trying to get it working with CUPS.
I created a PKGBUILD based on one of the other LEXmark driver examples. makepkg completes successfully and gives me a package but, after installing, this package doesn't seem to make any difference to CUPS...  In particular I'm hoping to see it listed in the printers available when setting up a printer.
    My PKGBUILD is as follows:

  • Z-world Little Giant drivers

    Hi everyone,
I`m actually looking for a labview serial driver for a Z-World Little

it is the serial/board drivers that are faulty (constantly jamming for a
while for no reasons). So, if anyone have such drivers, I would like to
know where this person find theses drivers.

  • Is there a way to get a card with 5.1 drivers to work with labview 6.1?

I have a quatech card that is only supported with drivers for labview 5.x. I however, have 6.1 and cannot get the card to work.
Is there any way, other than finding an old copy of labview on e-bay, to get 6.1 to communicate with the 5.x drivers?
The company whose card it is has been rather unhelpful so far, so I was hoping someone here might have an idea.
    Thanks,
    Dave Neumann

What form do the drivers for this card take? If the code calls DLLs you should be able to rework them for V6.1. If they are code interface nodes, you might be hosed.
Another possibility is to check with the vendor and see if they make new up-to-date DLL-based drivers for the card. You might have to buy them, but they should allow you to get things talking.
Finally, ebay is worth a try. A couple weeks ago there was a guy selling a bunch of DAQ stuff and a copy of LV5 was included in the lot.

thank YOU for any help you can offer!

    OK.
I can't help you with the drives then.  That is out of my realm of knowledge.  If they are marked healthy and active in the disk management utility, then that is all I know that they should be indicated.
    As for the graphics driver...
Download and install this free file utility.

After you install 7-zip, right click on the graphics driver file and select 7-zip from the list of options.
Select 7-zip to Extract to: and let it extract the file into a folder.  I let it extract to the file name of the folder.
Then just follow the rest of my instructions to install the driver.
Of course you will first browse to where 7-zip has extracted the folder to, and proceed from there.

  • LV 7 upgrade - VXI word serial problems

We are trying to upgrade some software that was written with LV 5.0.1 on WIN NT, using Labview 7 on a PC running WIN 2K pro. After re-compiling, the Corelis CVXI-JTM VXI module(message based) drivers delivered the error in a one button dialogue " VI Corelis Setup.vi was stopped at node 0x6D4 of subVI 'WScmd.vi'." We've tried substituting the 'OLD' WS commander vis with the same results. Using VISA VXI cmd or query to substitute in the VI, I received the error "Could not perform operation because of IO error".
Any suggestions why this might be occurring, or possible solutions you could give would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Enzo

    Hello Enzo,
When you upgraded from LabVIEW 5.0.1 to LabVIEW 7 did you also perform a driver update? If so, then you may have installed drivers, such as VISA, for example, which are not compatible with the Corelis driver you are using. Our drivers have changed significantly since LabVIEW 5.0.1 and they may simply not work with your Corelis VIs. If you did perform a driver upgrade, you may want to contact Corelis and check that the new NI driver versions are compatible with the version of their driver which you are using.
You may find the current versions of all NI software installed on your computer by launching the Measurement & Automation Explorer program and viewing the Software tab. You can also view software versions from the Windows Add/Remove Progr
ams icon in your Windows Control Panel.
