Service Desk: How do i Reply back to a support message?

I  am in the process of configuring the servcie desk.
I am using Solution manager 4.0 sp13.
I am recieving the messages in the Service desk, and the suport  team members are able to get their respective messges based on  the PFAC responsibility rules.
How do the support team members reply back to the message creater about the completion of the work,?
Or
put it another way, how does a mesage creater in a satellite system know the status of his message?
Lalchand.R

Hi Lalchand,
An action can be defined in configuration (SPRO) for sending mail notification to message creators whenever the message gets a particular status.
You can copy the standard action ' Email message to creator' under the SLFN action profile and change the conditions for automatic trigger.

Kathir

  • How can i get back a deleted text message

how can i get back a very important text message i deleted by mistake.my phone is iphone 3g
    thank you

I'm going to post what I found via Google. As I understand, it works for some, not for others, so I'm not vouching for this, so do it at your own risk:
FACT: SMS messages remain on the iPhone after deletion. When “deleted” on the iPhone, they are technically hidden and marked for deletion. Text messages are then deleted only after sync with iTunes.
In order to recover a deleted text message or messages, run through the following 4 easy steps:
    STEP 1:
Make sure iTunes doesn’t automatically sync with iPhone when connected.
    STEP 2:
Connect your iPhone to iTunes and Back up by selecting Preferences > Backup from iTunes, or right-click on your iPhone and choose back up.
    STEP 3:
Restore your iPhone by selecting Restore under Preferences. Note that restoring the iPhone will restore the previous iPhone firmware. Your iPhone will be completely erased after the new firmware is installed. So make sure your back up is good!
    STEP 4:
The final step will be to restore your iPhone from the back up you created on step 2. This will allow you to restore any data you have backed up, including the “deleted” text messages.
    That’s it!
It’s important to distinguish between iPhone data restore and iPhone firmware restore.
iPhone data restore allows you to restore data you have already backup on iTunes. This is your photos, video, text messages…etc.
iPhone firmware restore is pretty much like a restore to factory switch. This will restore your iPhone to the previous firmware or system and no user data. This option is often recommended if your suspect that your iPhone OS or iOS is unstable.

  • Service Desk: Sending e-mail with a link to a message

    Hi out there,
our SolMan is configured to send an email when a ServiceDesk message changes the
state (ie. "in process" -> "customer action").
Now i'd like to have the http link to the message (ITS) in the mail.
There is a note on SSMP 733511 with exact this subject, but it does not describe
how to bring the link in the mail.
The mail is generated throu the smartform CRM_REMINDER_MAIL_01.
Does anybody know how to modify this smartform? Or isn't that the right way?
    Thx for answers.
    Kurt

    Hi,
Copy this standard smartform, and generate it as Z. And in this smartform you can insert the link into smartform.
And change the name of the snmartform in the Action configuration to the name of Z.
    reward if helps.

  • When I select messages it wont go to main message menu it stays locked and I can't send messages to anyone else. How do I get back to the main message menu? select anyone else

How can I get to the main message menu? It stays locked on one persons messages and won't let me message anyone else. Can anyone help me?

You should be able to tap a different conversation you already have open. Try tapping the write new message button, it looks like the square with the pencil icon, right next to the word Messages, if it opens then tap the blue + sign.
You could also try to delete all you current open windows by tapping the Edit button then check marking all them > delete.
If you are still having problems first try to close Messages and then double tapping the Home Button to bring up the dock and long press on the messages app in the dock until you see it shaking with the red circle and completely turn it off, then re-open and see if that fixes it. If not you could try to reboot the iPad by holding the home button and the power button at the same time, ignore the "slide to Power Off" message and continue holding both buttons until you see the screen go black and the Apple logo appear.

  • How can i get back my deleted text messages?

I am trying to get back my text messages that my iphone 4 randomly deleted

Are you on iOS 7? Because if so I too had the same problem. What I did was go into my messages and I went to create a new message. Then in the field that says "To", type the person/contacts name and then go into the message box. After that all of your deleted messages should reappear.

  • Why is it so hard to get back to a support message after logging in?

When I get a message saying there's a reply to a discussion here, I click on the link to get to that discussion.    It says I have to log on in order to reply, and I do so - but it leaves me in a different screen.   If I page back, it thinks I'm logged off again.   If I link back, it thinks I'm logged off again.
Why can't this web site let me log on and keep me logged on at the screen from which I clicked the log on link?

    Howard
Well - you broke the Internet! - kidding of course
I am now having the exact same symptoms on THIS thread as you did on whatever thread prompted this question. Other threads seem unaffected.
The only way I am able to post this reply is to go to Howard Brazee's Profile | Activity and click the Reply link at the bottom of the synopsis, which opens a compose pane on the Activity page.
    instead,
This is a new wrinkle on a similar 'infected' thread's behavior - only worse. For posterity, I will describe my normal WorkFlow that yields NO Joy...
    Restart Mac
    Open TenFourFoxv31.1.0 (Firefox/Mozilla)
From a browser bookmark that is Login > Using ASC
    Login from the Login Page
    Directs to Using ASC
Scroll til all I see is the list
Invoke a FF add-on - ReloadEvery (20 minutes) on that page
This becomes my 'Base Camp' for navigating to threads
Keeps me from being timed-out / logged-out with NO indication thereof
Switch to MS Entourage mail client
Click the "Go to this Discussion" link in the email notice of your post "I just got your message in my email......"
Auto-switches to FF and opens the thread to your post in a new TAB
    Login state = 0
Scroll to the top of page = state is 'Guest'
click "login' link - this should take me to the Login page (the hover indicates the correct URL for login page)
instead, I am taken to the Main "Apple Support Communites" page - the one with all the BIG icons
    login state = 1
Scroll to the bottom of page
    click Using ASC icon
Takes me to Main Using ASC page
    Login state = 1
find the "Why is it so hard...." thread title in the list
    click the link
takes me to the thread "Why is it so hard...."
    Login state = 0
    Apple's physical address " 1 Infinite Loop "
Our friend bobsuefert has been teasing me that the JiveWare has become 'self-aware' and is jacking with we all. This is another in a long laundry list of "glitches du jour" (another bob-coined phrase).
Just for fun, I just switched back to my BaseCampTAB, clicked to go to this thread... whaddya know? Login state = 1 as if nuthin ever happened. There IS a Ghost in the Machine !!!
I select all > Copy > click the reply magic twanger - we'll see what happens?

  • In solman 4.0 how to send message to SAP through service desk

    Dear all,
I have configured service desk functionality, My requirement is from service desk how to send message to SAP.
    Regards,
    Pavan.

    Hi,
    Following the steps:
ƒBasic configuration - RFC Connections to SAP
Check if the RFC Connectino SAPOSS is working properly
Check if load distribution group is set to EWA
    The RFC Connections:
    - SAP-OSS (Send Message to SAP)
    - SAP-OSS-LIST-O01 (Update Message from SAP)
will be created automatically by the system with a user which has been assigned
    previously.
IMG Path: SAP Web Application Server | SAP Web Application Server | SAP Solution Manager| Basic Settings | SAP Solution Manager System | Connection to SAP | Assign user for forwarding Service Desk Message
With transaction SM59 you can adjust the RFC connections.
    - For further information on SAP R/3 Front-end connections, see SAP Notes: 33135, 766505, 24177
    - To forward Service Desk notifications and Issues to SAP, you need to assign a user to the SAPNet R/3
    Front-end connection to SAP.
    Activities:
    - 1. From the SAP Solution Manager (transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER), choose (Edit-> Global Settings.
    - 2. Choose Display<->Change.
    - 3. For SAP Service Marketplace, specify http://service.sap.com as the URL.
    - 4. In the Connection to SAP tab, specify SAPOSS as the RFC destination. Note that the entry is casesensitive.
    - 5. For User forwading messages, enter a valid user and a password. This user will require all the authorizations for SAPNet R/3 Front-end for your customer number.
    - 6. Save your changes.
The system automatically generates the following RFC destinations and assigns the S-User and password you specified: SAP-OSS, SAP-OSS-LIST-O01
    Good Lucky!
