MikeHi Mike,
did you install all required rpm's? You could check this with my open source project which is also using silent installation method. Furthermore also ASM setup is included. ;)

Edited by: disa on 05.04.2011 17:57Did you ever get an answer other then weblogic being the wrong version?
I am trying to add a 2nd OMS and I get the same error. Weird part is I am trying to connect to the OMS 1st server through weblogic with out issue. Now it seems to be looking at the new sever to stop all under gc_inst, but there is nothing in there.
Does someone have clear steps on adding a second OMS? I have been through the doc and loading exactly as it states. Failing at same step.
Thanks

12c OEM Installation -- adding a OMS node
Hi Experts,
I gone through the steps mentioned in the below document for adding an additional OMS node for the existing OEM with one OMS.
=====================================
Oracle® Enterprise Manager
Cloud Control Basic Installation Guide
12c Release 1 (12.1.0.1)
E22624-12
7 : : Adding Additional Oracle Management Service
=================================
This procedure deals with adding the adding OMS using "Add Additional OMS Deployment Procedure".
My question is , is this the only method we have to add the additional OMS to the OEM 12c ? or do we have any other method to perform this ?
Please let me know if there is any other method other than one mentioned above.The recommened way to do an additional OMS install is using deploymnet procedure but you can also do an silent OMS install as well , where you have to run all the steps manually on the server.
if you have any security restrictions or audit demands in your environment, or if you are not permitted to use Oracle credentials to log in over the network for installation, then follow these steps to manually install an additional OMS in silent, non-interactive mode.

Need help with a Silent Installer for Photoshop Elements 10
I can't seem to get the silent installer working. I've used the Elements 9 instructions for 10 but I still get pop-ups requesting info:
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/silent-install-volume-license-photoshop.html
I cannot find any info at all relating specifically to Elements 10. Before I go digging into the msi with ORCA (preferable to have something I can deploy in Active Directory through GPO) I tought I'd ask here@mtarggart
Delete the blank between /UL and 1033, and it will work. :-)
@Davide M, thanks a lot for your helpful article!
mtarggart wrote:
I've tried the above command and I keep getting prompted to select an Install Language. I'm trying to install this on Windows 7 x64 Enterprise. From an elevated command prompt pointed to the directory of the Elements install files (C:\PSE 10), this is what I am typing: start /wait setup.exe /UL 1033 /V"SERIALNUMBER=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx".
For the ones who want to use installation from a server share,
change "Setup.exe" by using \\Servername\Share\Setup.exe
and set \\Servername\Share to your Servershare.
The last thing I've been searching for was setting the right country
and stopping PSE from asking me which country I am living in.
Seems as if there was an additional switch e.g. "Country=244" for US. -

I've done multiple installations by silently installing the cloud agent 12c using a response file. However, the configuration portion failed on this one windows 2003 host.
Has anyone seen this? I've searched on metalink and see other problems like TZ, service already exists, incorrect PERL settings etc..but found nothing that helps so far.

Premiere Elements 11 - Silent installation for SCCM
Hey guys, I am trying to package up Premiere Elements 11 for a Silent install using SCCM. I have followed the official deployment guide here:
Deploy Premiere Elements 11 and earlier | Windows
and the following Blog post:
Mick's IT Blogs: Deploying Photoshop Elements 11
but am encountering the same issue as someone noted in Mick's Deployment guide - I configure the "Setup.ini" file and the “application.xml.override” files and the installation does indeed run and complete.
However, the created Desktop shortcut points to an executable file which does not exist and it seems that half of the program is missing/not installed despite there being no errors during the installation.
Additionally, the Adobe guide linked above talks about copying the xml.override file into two folder locations:
<Your setup location>\ElementsOrganizer\SupportFiles\payloads\EO[*]AMTLibSupport
<Your setup location>\SupportFiles\payloads\PRE[*]AMTLibSupport-32/64
but neither location exists on my source media (downloaded from Adobe.com).
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Regards,
Scott.jaojr1962,
/UL1033 parameter is for setting the uninstall language and not for setting the country. So, the country dialoue would come on launch.
Adobe gives out these instructions to its OEM/enterprise users. If you're an OEM or an enterprise user of PSE/PRE, could you please contact Adobe through your respective point of contact? Adobe would be able to provide you a solution which you'd be able to use to avoid the country selection dialogue if you pre-configure it correctly.
thanks. -

Seprate Silent installation proofing tools 2010
Hello,
i am trying to do a silent installation of MS proofing tools 2010.
On my cliënts office 2010 is already installed.
I am trying to do this with the following config.xml
<Configuration Product="Proofkit">
<!-- <Display Level="full" CompletionNotice="yes" SuppressModal="no" AcceptEula="YES" /> -->
<!-- <Logging Type="standard" Path="%temp%" Template="Microsoft Office Proofkit Setup(*).txt" /> -->
<!-- <USERNAME Value="Customer" /> -->
<!-- <COMPANYNAME Value="Customer" /> -->
<!-- <INSTALLLOCATION Value="%programfiles%\Microsoft Office" /> -->
<!-- <LIS CACHEACTION="CacheOnly" /> -->
<!-- <LIS SOURCELIST="\\share\server\location of office 2010" /> -->
<!-- <DistributionPoint Location="\\\share\server\location of office 2010" /> -->
<!-- <OptionState Id="OptionID" State="absent" Children="force" /> -->
<!-- <Setting Id="SETUP_REBOOT" Value="IfNeeded" /> -->
<!-- <Command Path="%windir%\system32\msiexec.exe" Args="/i
\\server\share\my.msi" QuietArg="/q" ChainPosition="after" Execute="install" /> -->
</Configuration>
I have tried this with MDT of working directory to the installation-dir of the proofing tools, and with the following quiet install:
setup.exe /config
\\server\share\Proofing\ProofKit.WW\config.xml
This is still not working well.
What is needed to create a full working application-task sequence for MS proofing tools 2010?
ThxHi,
setup.exe /config Proofing\ProofKit.WW\config.xml should work, since the working directory is set to the folder of the designated application. In this case, your proofing tool application directory.
Another way to do it, is to create an install.cmd and use "%~DP0" but that takes a bit away the use of having applications.
A third option which I wonder if you have looked into, is that MDT recognizes other Microsoft (especially Office related) products, and provide an additional property pane on your application properties, where you can address these specific settings and
properties.
I think this will even work better!
If this post is helpful please click "Mark for answer", thanks! Kind regards -
Silent installation of Adobe RoboHelp 7
I've been asigned to build a package for a silent
installation of Adobe RoboHelp V7.
The installation itself was successful but during the first
start of one feature (RH for Word or HTML)
the user is asked to enter a valid key.
I've tried to avoid this process using the command
C :> msiexec /qn /L* “<Log file>” /I
“<Path to RoboHelp MSI file>”
SERIALNUMBER=<serial number>
but it did'nt work.
Any ideas for the reason? Thanks in advance for your help.
GrommingerSorry, I thought that item included the additional
information you will find in this article.
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/robohelp/articles/before_install.html
You will see that the user does have to enter the serial
number.
You may want to report this to bump the priority for fixing.

Silent installation / Installer.properties issues
1)In regards to Windows 2000 server when performing a silent installation of WebLogic
6.0 how can I specify the Path for the start menu (Short cuts for launching)
I can recall being able to do this prior to SP1 being bundled. Below is a copy
of the installer.properties file Example of cmd string C:\Weblogic600sp1_win.exe
-f installer.properties. Exe and properties file both reside in same directory
when being launched. I noticed when installing a second instance using a silent
properties it does not provide a second entry labeled as
(2) in the start menu like I does when installing not using the properties file
for a silent install.
INSTALLER_UI=silent
USER_LOCALE=en
BEAHOME=c:\\bea
USER_INSTALL_DIR=c:\\bea\\wlserver6.0sp1
C_domainName=mydomain
C_serverName=myserver
C_serverListenPort=7001
C_serverSSLListenPort=7002
C_password=changeme
CHOSEN_INSTALL_SET=Server
2)When performing a manual installation it will ask if you want it to start as
a service. How can you do this using the silent install to avoid running installntservice.cmd
as a post step? I have scripted it to run the cmd file once silent install completed
but what to know if it can be in the installer.properties file.
3)Once silent install has completed service starts you unable to access http://localhost:7001
from the same server in which Weblogic was installed.
In addition if you were to stop the service and launch the start menu version
cmd provided during the installation all seems to function as intended. To make
matter worst when I perform the installation (not using silent method) server
seems to be fine.
All seems to be straight forward what am I missing, I have read the documentationRick wrote:

No you can NOT specify your program group in 6.0sp1. It would be installed to:
BEA WebLogic E-Business Platform (BEAHOME?)
where ? is zero or one integer number.
This is true for both silent and GUI installation.
of the installer.properties file Example of cmd string C:\Weblogic600sp1_win.exe

I don't quite understand the problem here. Do you mean this:
1. you finished silent install
2. you run installntservice.cmd to install the service
3. you started the service from control panel
4. you tried to access http://localhost:7001 and it failed.
is this what you mean?

Silent installation for FMW products command prompt stuck!!
Hi All,
I am working on silent installation of Oracle FMW components, I am using the response file approach and Oracle Universal Installer. The aim is to integrate these installation commands to continuous integration tools like Jenkins/ControlTier.
When the installation finishes, the current shell still holds the prompt. I need to press ENTER to get out. The problem If I integrate them with this tools their flow does not end up, as command prompt does not return. In addition to that I need the returned execution status (echo $?) for evaluating the process.
I have tried launching it in background but did not work, any ideas ?
They say, silent does not require user interaction still we have to press ENTER to exit the console (silent + GUI).
Please suggest.
Thanks in advance,
Bhaskar

thats fine that I should nt contuinue the installation if the prerequisties isnt match
but my question is "if we are doing the same installation in GUI based then we have to select that failed components and verify it again, i.e. I select that failed component and retry it (that the same thing done by me) and its working perfectly..." and my installation is successfully completed with any errors.
So, how can I do the same thing through command line, IF I want to retry for the failed components?

Issue with oracle11g weblogic server(10.3.6) silent installation
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to install WL server through silent mode.
The silent.xml that i am using is as follows
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!-- Silent installer option -mode=silent -silent_xml="/u01/app/wlogic/sil/silent.xml" -->
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<bea-installer>
<input-fields>
<data-value name="BEAHOME" value="/u01/app/wlogic/sil" />
<data-value name="WLS_INSTALL_DIR" value="/u01/app/wlogic/sil/wlserver_10.3" />
<data-value name="COMPONENT_PATHS"
value="WebLogic Server/Core Application Server|WebLogic Server
/Administration Console|WebLogic Server/Configuration Wizard and Upgrade
Framework|WebLogic Server/Web 2.0 HTTP Pub-Sub Server|WebLogic Server/WebLogic
JDBC Drivers|WebLogic Server/Third Party JDBC Drivers|WebLogic Server
/WebLogic Server Clients|WebLogic Server/WebLogic Web Server Plugins
|WebLogic Server/UDDI and Xquery Support|WebLogic Server/Server Examples" />
<data-value name="INSTALL_NODE_MANAGER_SERVICE" value="no" />
<data-value name="INSTALL_SHORTCUT_IN_ALL_USERS_FOLDER" value="yes"/>
<!--
<data-value name="LOCAL_JVMS" value="/usr/java/jdk1.7.0_07" />
-->
</input-fields>
</bea-installer>
The installation returns a failure code "null".
I am using the generic installer and have successfully installed through the GUI and console mode.
The OS is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4(32bit on VWare machine).
I have also tried it on Windows 7.
I am at my wits end and any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance
Jitendra

Photoshop Elements 13 Silent Installation
Hi.
I am trying to do a silent installation of Photoshop Elements 13.
We can rollout single installations to specific computers with Enteo DSM (Client Management System).
When i assign an installation to a client, i have the possibility to give the serialnumber with the installationpackage as an variable.
This worked well with PSE10, PSE11 and PSE12.
But with Version 13 the installation routine changed completly. Are there any instructions to do an silent installation with PSE 13 ?
Cheers
TobiShikha,
Silent install worked great but I cant get the adobeID to serialize. I used this for PSE 12 but it's not working on 13.
adobe_prtk --tool=Serialize --leid=V7{}PhotoshopElements-EMT13-Win-GM --serial="xxxx-xx...." --adobeid="[email protected]"
Do I have the right leid? I couldn't find any information on how to get the Adobe ID working.
