Skype mic issues with Beats soud card

Hi All, I am having problems to make use of my internal mic especially to use Skype, I have already changed my first DV6 laptop due to the same issue! can anyone help please? and to HP could you make better laptops, I will throw this kit out if this issue is not sorted with an update ASAP!

I have a similar issue where if any recording takes place, or the microphone is even accessed by a program, I lose all audio until I restart my computer. What's similar is that after this occurs, the microphone and line-in inputs both get muted automatically. Previously, audio in certain games didn't work for me as a result of this, but with a bit of playing around sometimes I can get it working. However, eventually (usually after around half an hour), the sound will just cut out in-game entirely and require me to restart once again (only happens in games that use a microphone in some way; Fallout 3 is unaffected but Call of Duty: World at War is, for example. I think it might be either a really rare driver issue or a hardware problem, at this rate.Message Edited by sear on 2-6-2008 04:0 PM

I have installed the agent 10 or 15 times and one installation has failed, no error appeared during the installation but I am having inconsistent issues with my ethernet card not working here and there. We rebooted and can log into Novell client but the login prompt did not appear for ESM client or the icon was not in the systray. Everything seems to work, besides at times (a couple times today) it terminates his ethernet card/connection. I would re-image his computer but he has several applications and it would take several hours, so I am hoping someone has an idea to fix this issue. So I was trying to figure out why he did not get the prompt to login and why it's not in the systray and it appears to not have completed the install? I checked the add/remove programs, its not listed within their, I also checked the registry and found nothing for endpoint within their, but the files are within c:\program files\novell\zenworks endpoint security.
I have also tried uninstalling it but that fails due to it "not being installed", and it will not reinstall over itself either.
I did notice that stuninstdrv.exe is running in task manager. Any help would be great...

If you are searching the registry, check for the "Senforce" string. It should be at HKLM\Software\Senforce
Try running the install program for the ZSC with the following command line:
    setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1"
If you've specified an uninstall password, try this one instead:
setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1 STUIP=password"" (please note the double quote at the end)
Let me know if that helped you.

  • I added an iTunes card to my account. THe balance shows on the account, but I can not download, because iTunes has an issue with the debit card linked to the account. Shouldn't it default to the balance from the card I added?

iTunes keeps telling me my debit card is declined, when I am trying to use an iTunes card that I added today. The amount from the iTunes card shows on the account.

You need to fix the issue with the credit card on the iTunes account or you can remove the credit card.

  • Ok, so I have a 1g macbook Pro and I'm having an issue with the graphics card, so I believe.

I believe I'm having an issue with the graphics card. For one, when I'm using programs like iMovie '11, SPORE, or the Sims 3  for long periods (hours usualy) of time, the computer will be perfectly fine. It gets warmish-hot, like usuall, all of a sudden it will randomly freeze for 5 to 10 seconds, then shut down and reststart. This happens, espically on the Sims 3 I can play for a while, but when I try to save it will shut down on me.
Also, I got a new iPod touch 4g on the 25th, the first few times I tried syncing and downloading, it started off fine, but after 10 min. it would restart. Now it works ok, but I still monitor it just incase.
Can anyone help me understand why all of this is happening? I beleve the graphics card isn't good enough, even though it meets the standards for iLife, and The Sims 3. My graphics card is a ATI,RadeonX1600. The laptop has 2 GB RAM runs at 2.16GHz with an Intel Core Duo on OS X Snow Lepard (10.6.8). Thanks everyone.

Threads are just processes that link together like the threads in these discussions, well, maybe that is a bad example given how disjointed these get
It looks like you are not pushing the cpu or hard drive enough to cause your behavior.  Not sure what the temperature limit on that cpu is, on the newer models it is around 100-110 °C which is notciabley hot, and the system shutsdown for self protection at the thermal limit.
You could be hitting a thermal limit causing that behavior...so do you see good behavior at lower load levela on the system?  Does this only happen with when you are under the high graphic loads?
Trying to zero in on when this occurs to see if we an isolate the problem.

  • Is anyone having Mic issues with iPhone 5?

Is anyone having Mic issues with iPhone 5? Speakerphone works but not the mic, on phone calls and memos.
Took it to local Genius campus and after taking off the back screen and case, they blew air into the mica and it worked for about 20 mins.
I can't have a ready can of air around every time the mic goes out.
    Anyone else had similar issues?

I am having a similar problem. I had the iPhone 5 delivered yesterday. On most of the calls I tried, the person on the other end could hear me just fine on speakerphone, but not on the regular mic. It was garbled, or I would cut in and out. I could always hear the other person clearly.
I just got back from a Genius Bar appointment where they gave me an entirely new phone. The issue exists on this one also, though now it seems like the audio is more muffled than garbled or spotty. Again, speakerphone works, and I can hear the other person clearly.
I had originally restored backup from my 3GS, but before I went to the Genius Bar I restored to factory settings just to be sure it wasn't a software issue (it wasn't, apparently). I did not restore from the old phone for this new handset either.
Thanks for any suggestions...frustrating, for sure!

  • Issues with games, video card issue?

    Hi,
I have been having issues with games lately. Mostly they are hidden object games from  Big Fish, but they start up then minimize, it doesn't crash completely just minimizes, I click on it again and it works for a few seconds and minimizes itself again and again. I am unable to play the games because it keeps minimizing. could this be an issue with my video card? I have attempted updating it but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?

    Ok OK, Update...
the games work perfectly on my father's HP which runs windows 7...so it definatly is NOT because of not updated stuff....I really dont know what else to do at this point....no suggestions from anyone?!?!?!

  • Any issues with adding this card to my mac?

I would like to add a card to my mac pro that will enable me to capture video from certain types of HD video cameras.
    1. Do I have a slot available to put in one of these cards?
    2. Are there any potential issues with doing this?
    3. I am guessing that by adding the card, it will create an open port on the back of the mac that will allow me to connect the camera.
    http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/
I have the Dual-Core Intel XeonProcessor Speed: 3 GHz.
    Thanks!!!!

The Intensity HDMI card is normally used to capture UNCOMPRESSED video from an HD vidcam.
Lets say, for example you get a Canon HV20 camera - it has both firewire and HDMI outs. The camera, being HDV, uses HDV compression to write to tape. So once video is on tape, you will be capturing HDV encoded video (just fine with FCP). The HDV standards dictate 1420x1080 even though the sensor of the HV20 is a native 1920x1080. But, since non-square pixels are used, consider it 1920x1080 aspect.
If you hook the HV20 to your Mac Pro using HDMI and the Intensity card, you can capture uncompressed, native 1920x1080 video. However, you better have enormous and extremely fast Raid storage, as it requires sustained data rates roughly, what, 100 times greater than HDV? And you better have a really long extension cord if you plan to use it in the field, as, you must remember, once written to tape it will be compressed HDV video, so the small gain you'll get from native uncompressed 1920x1080 video is only available at the time you shoot, and only out of the HDMI port.
HDV looks stunning as is, so unless you are a professional with special requirements (in which case I've not told you anything you don't already know), you may want to rethink this.
If you shoot well exposed HDV video, and edit with FCP or iMovie HD for that matter, and play back from tape to a 1920x1080i HDTV, it is as good as watching the Discovery Channel HD.
    Good luck,
    John F

  • Issues with a Credit Card Machine using a VG202

Has anyone run into any issues with using CC machines with using SCCP on a VG202?
Setup: 2 CC Machines--> VG202 --> connecting to Call Manager 8.6 using DHCP.  Both of my CC machines work fine doing a normal CC transaction, but at the end of the day the client runs a batch report on the cc machine but the cc machine will time out after 1 min.  The Batch report usually takes about 3 to 4 mins to complete.

    Thank you!
Adding "network-clock-select 1 T1 0/0/0" to the config resolved the issue. No more slips and credit card machine runs smoothly now.
I very much appreciate your assistance.

  • Mic issue with Lenovo G710 laptop

I have a laptop Lenovo G710 which i have upgraded to Windows 10. The laptop has an inbuilt microphone.I'm going through the setup process with Cortana but my voice isn't being detected when getting Cortana to learn my voice.I have done following to try and fix it but it hasn't yet worked:
I checked in Device Manager and looked for Microphone(IDT High Definition Audio Codec) and it says Device is working properly when i go to the properties of it.The latest driver was installed 09/07/2015.
Secondly, I have tested the inbuilt microphone out by going into Control Panel, then going to Speech Recognition then click on Audio Devices and making sure that the microphone is enabled.
I then right clicked on it  Properties went to the Levels tab and increased the  Microphone level to 100. Microphone boost is set to the max level. If anyone can help me to fix this issue, it would be much appreciated.Kind Regards,

    Hey there,
I've been having the same problem for a long time now, seems like the IDT drivers for this model are fu**ed up somehow. No one ever responded to my problems. Don't expect anyone having a magical solution to this, unless someone from the Lenovo support really decides to dig deep. The newest driver is absolutely incompatible with Windows 10, even though it says it is. The mic works "fine" when listening to it through the recording devices properties, but never have I been able to make it work with Cortana, neither Skype! To temporarily solve this problem, until MAYBE a solution will come, I advise you to open Device Manager, and under Sound, video and game controllers, click right on the IDT High Definition Audio Codec, Properties, Driver, Update Driver, Browse my computer for driver software, Let me pick from a list, and select High Definition Audio Device. Your sound will sound worse, after some restarts it will maybe even go almost mute (at 100% volume set EVERYWHERE application-wise, windows-wise it will sound like 30%, 40% before), but at least the microphone will work service-ably with Cortana or Skype.
Guys could any of the official support REALLY take a look at this problem? Seems that not just me has it. This is a serious issue to solve. Thanks! (whistles in the wind, becomes forgotten in a few days)

  • Issues with MSI FX5600 cards

In my part time i build computers from a small buisiness i started while in university.
I have several issues concerning the new MSI FX5600 Cards, that have not been completely answered in any post that i have read here in the forums or in the poor FAQ section of the MSI website.
These cards have been around long enough now that MSI should start taking Customer service into consideration and start answering some of these issues that many have mentioned and have yet to get an answer to.
The first Set are Hardware related. Second are Software.
HARDWARE#1 First off is the poor construction of the heatsink/fan assembly on these cards, the one im using now, along with pretty much every one i have seen has large gaps between the RAM chips and the heatsink ( well its not really a heatsink more like a heat spreader plate).
The solution given in this forum is for the consumer to do the work of assembler himself (thats pathetic). So i guess MSI should stamp "some assembly required on their boxes and drop the price some $50 for the time it takes a user to repair this problem.
MSI should hire some good assembly people at your factories! I have installed many cards over the years and by far this is the worst heatsink assembly i have seen, which is quite obviously due to MSI using cheap labour done at a rapid rate.
Or just abandon this one heat spreader plate idea and paste individual passive heatsinks on each ram chip, like Asus and many others do.
And best idea yet is to Recall all your cards and offer everyone a decent heatsink solution to replace this poor design.
HARDWARE#2 Why is there no temperature monitoring on these FX cards? Simple question however i have yet to see an answer. Will there be in the future, or is there no temperature monitoring due to lack of a hardware, or do we all have to go buy thermocouples and connect them to our heatsinks, if we want to know the temp of our cards. Given the above #1 it would also be good to know the temp of the RAM given that many of the chips have no heatsink at all connected to them.
HARDWARE#3 The unit that plugs into the back of the VIVO cards never quite stay plugged in well and are so short that due to a lack of slack in the cable weight put on it by pluging in other cables tends to cause the whole unit to become unplugged. Why not just make that cable a litle bit longer?
HARDWARE#4 (related to above vivo connector unit) why use a (infra red )IR reciever connected to the video card? Why not just supply a seperate ir reciever and have that connected to a USB port or somthing else. Does it really make sense to have IR using the AGP resources? Also the quality of the ir reciever is absolutely the cheapest i have ever seen, and is awkward to place in any usefull position without using tape to stick it it to somthing.
Hardware#5 Cheap Remote control. Lots of buttons on it however most are really useless, and dont work anyways.
Instead of providing these remotes free with the cards, make a good remote remote control that uses RF (radio frequencies) instead of the awfull IR, and that can actually controll common software that people would normally use, or that ships with operating systems like media player etc.. Also why not have it also act as a second mouse like other manufacturers do?
SOFTWARE #1 Lets start off with the IR software or driver, I have used several other IR recievers/software that work perfect within windows. HOWEVER MSI has the absolute worst i have ever seen. The memory leaks everyone has is a perfect example of how poor their IR hardware/software work together. Will you be providing some new drivers to fix this? Or was providing a remote control just a gimmick to try and capture a few early customers?
SOFTWARE #2 the media center is so awfull, due to many reasons here are some.
    a) for many people it wont even work to begin with
    b) the resolution and more importantly Refresh rate ( 60hz ) is just plain stupid. ( i dont know anyone who can stand looking at a 60hz refresh rate for more then a few min without getting a headache).
    c) use of remote control is full of bugs and is limited to this software alone.
    d) i have yet to find any way of even adding pictures or other media files to the lists (not that i really care) this just points out the poor user interface.
I could go on about how bad it is, but i wont.
I recommend that MSI re-think their media centre and just get rid of it all together and start from scratch on somthing new. Try looking at what competitors such as ati's software and even Nvidia have as thier media centres. Also just dont use Intervideo's WinDVD and do like Asus and go with Cyberlinks PowerDVD.
    c) lack of any monitoring software for video chip or ram heat status. This is related to the hardware comment #2
    d) 11 cd's software bundell. Who cares why do you guys hype this if its basically 11 cds of old games that dont even use direct x9 capabilites of the card, or apps that i would question if anyone would even use. Most would prefer a drop in price versus having this large cd set.
Well that is it for now. Normally i would get paid for my ideas and suggestions where i work full time as a product development technologist, But this short list I provide freely hoping that MSI get their act together and make a better product. There is lots of potential there however it would require much more in terms of fixing these bugs that really reduce customer satisfaction and thus reduce sales especially in the customer recommendation sales.
Two last comments not related to the cards:
    i) The packaging. is it really necessary to pay for the extra ink to put colorfull images within the inside of the box? could you not use that extra money saved and put it into either hiring better assemblers or making wires a little longer etc..?
ii) There is nothing mentioned in the manual concerning the Remote control its use or that of the media center.
It would now be nice if MSI would plese answer some of the above questions and sittuations and create a new FAQ for this card and have it available within the FAQ section of their website.
Thank you for reading this post.
    hope for some improvements soon

I echo these words too. :O

  • Intermittent issue with Wifi network card.

Nothing can be more annoying than an intermittent issue. Unfortunately it does happen to my MBP. This is the new MBP purchase Jan. of this year. About 2 months ago, the MBP developes a problem. The sympotom is, after powering it on, the Wifi network card sometimes suddently stop working, even cannot be recognized by the system accidently. After the problem arise, I cannot turn on wifi again. The only way to get it back is to restart it. It used to work well with my home network and company network.
I have tried every possible mean to figure out what's wrong with it. Tried SMC reset, PRAM rest. Reinstall a new OS on a new partition (per instruction from Apple support). I hate to say this is a HW issue but support people from Apple did suggest sending it to a service center for a check up.
Before I actually dropping it at service center, I wanna know if someone has experienced that before?
Repeat, it used work well with my router.

  • No Sound Issue with PHASE88 sound card

K8T Neo series motherboard, socket 754 - NO SOUND ISSUE
    I'm using a AMD athlon64 processor
I am having problems with my PHASE88 sound card. Windows XP regonises it and says the "driver is enabled but has not been started." I can't fix this problem in the device manager anywhere and so I was thinking it may be a conflict with the onboard Audio. I can't find in the BIOS where to disable the on board audio - can someone help?

    Hi
    Page 3-20 of manual
Integrated peripherals - onboardPCI controller - AC97 sound -disable it.
You may have to install device with New Hardware Wizard in Control panel.
    cheers

  • Skype recording issue with headset

When I record with my headset (Turtle Beach p11 earforce) The recording doesn't seem to make skype that loud and clear, when i do record, I hear skype perfectly. I record with bandicam but I recorded with something else and it did the same thing. I have tried so many times to fix this but I just cant find a way. I like to record with friends and upload the videos, but that gets in the way. So any ideas? NOTE: The headset is designed for the playstation 3 but is compatible with pc. Also I use a Windows 8.1 Acer. Hope someone can help!
