Snow leopard uptodate link terminates at empty shopping cart

Hi,
I purchased the macbook pro on 6/9/2009, and am using the apple online store link http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/9784001/wo/mA6AA eZV33RP2QMu99OJC2y73GJ/1.) from http://www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate/ to register for my snow leopard $9.95 upgrade when it is available.
The problem I'm running into is that after I entered my serial # and the qualified system is shown with a 'continue' button, clicking on it takes me to the empty shopping cart instead of registering me for the upgrade, and there's nothing to indicate what to do next other than 'continue shopping'. I am not sure what to do next to properly register for the snow leopard upgrade online.
Any help is appreciated.

Those of us here are simply users. Only a small handful of folks on these boards work for Apple, but they volunteer time here just like the rest of us. The problem you're having can only be resolved by folks on the inside, which is why you need to pursue other options for getting your upgrade pricing honored.
I suspect there's an overload on one of the servers which is causing the issue.

Snow Leopard-UpToDate---WTH!

I just tried the UpToDate enrollment program and it comes up flagged as incorrect serial number.
Yet, when I enter the same info to check my warranty status, it comes up fine with my serial number.
Aren't these systems integrated? It's definitely registered or the warranty info wouldn't show.

There have been issues with the Up-to-Date program servers lately. For a while, the update could not be added to the cart at all.
Worst case scenario, print out the pdf, fill it out, and snail-mail it in.

Snow Leopard up-to-date program not working online?

Just purchased a new MacBook Pro on 6/15. When I try to use the up-to-date program on www.apple.com/macosx/uptodate it lets me sign in but shows my shopping cart as empty. I can't get it to let me pre-order Snow Leopard for $9.95. Anyone else able to use this or not use this program?

Snow Leopard crashed : unable to find the hard drive in Disk utility

Hello,
A few days ago, my computer (running on Snow Leopard 10.6.3) suddently crashed (no recent update, no new software or hardware installation).
Since then, i'm unable to start the computer. It freezes on the start screen with the apple and the loading bar. Sometimes i've got an empty folder with a question mark.
I tried to start with the install CD, and when i select Disk utility, it only recognizes the DVD, not the hard drive (then i cannot even try to repair it).
When i want to re-install Snow Leopard, i arrive on an empty screen on which i'm asked to choose a drive to install on. Of course as i cannot choose a drive, i cannot install.
Finally, when i try to start with no errors (pressing Maj button when starting), i've got a kernel panic error saying "unable to find driver for this platform ACPI"
Can anyone help me ?

Your hard drive has had a serious malfunction. It might be that it is software: your partition table may be corrupt. If so, this may be fixable if you take it to a local Apple certified tech. However, it is more likely that it is hardware and the drive itself has failed. I hope you have a backup. If you do, you will need to replace the drive and restore the backup to the new drive. If you don't and you have important data on that drive (and if you have important data, why don't you have a backup?) you will need to contact one of the data recovery services, such as Drive Savers or Rescuecom. Be advised that the price for data recovery starts at $200 and heads upwards really quickly, depending on what the exact problem with the drive is. I have seen data recovery charges of $3000 and more for seriously screwed up drives.
Having a backup is a lot easier and a lot cheaper.

Why can't I download Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard?

I login to Apple Developer and click Download Xcode 4.2 (Snow Leopard) but I'm just presented with an Access Denied page... Do you know why this happens?

I just checked it again and here's what I've done:
1) Browse to developer.apple.com
2) Choose iOS Dev Center
3) Log In
4) Go down to the Downloads Section on http://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action and click on Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard download link.
5) The link is download.apple.com//Developer_Tools/xcode_4.2_with_ios_5_sdk/xcode_4.2_and_ios_ 5_sdk_for_snow_leopard.dmg but instead of downloading the file, I'm presented with an Access Denied page:

Beeps in macbook after installing snow leopard

Hello, first, sorry for my english, last Friday I got snow leopard uptodate, after successfully install, the system may be restart, and then the screen goes black emitting several beeps.
if I turn the computer off and on again, snow leopard boot properly installed. I tried to reinstall it twice and both times gave me the same error.
10 days ago I expanded the macbook to 4gb ram.

I agree with Jay, it sounds like a RAM problem. Exactly how many beeps are there? Here is Apple's article about startup beeps:

I would try to put the old RAM in and see if you have the same problem. If not, then you have bad RAM whether or not you're plugged in to electricity.

Link Between Shopping Cart and RFx SRM

We have a reporting requirement in BI/BW to merge Shopping Cart and RFx data -- e.g. how many Shopping carts got converted to RFx..etc
I can use Transaction Code bbp_pd and see that the links are available between Shopping cart and RFx.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the two tables CRMD_ORDERADM_H and CRMD_ORDERADM_I contain information regarding individual process, but not the link between the two.
Do you know the underlying tables that contain the 'link' between the two processes.
Appreciate your help!

if you call BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL - you should be able to get all the links in the tables
E_HEADER_REL
E_ITMLIM_REL
After, you can call
BBP_PD_BID_GETDETAIL to get info for RFX

Can't get in to shopping cart

I'm still having this problem. Last week I wrote "For the past month everytime I try to enter my shopping cart so I can download songs/videos, I get the following message: "We could not complete your itunes store request. An unknown error occurred (5002). There was an error in the itunes store. Please try again later." I cannot figure out what to do. Can anyone help me get this fixed? Thanks,"

Shopping cart in iweb NO PAYPAL

I would like to insert a shopping cart WITHOUT using paypal. I know how to create the "add to shopping cart" buttons, but can not figure out how to get them to link to an actual shopping cart page that should total everything up. I will be authorizing the payments from my office so I only need a cart that adds up the total and sends the credit card info to my email (like with forms).
Is there a way to do this without going through a third party?

I doubt forms send credit card info by email, usually in plain text.
Me think something a tiny bit more secure order handling is needed.
Here's the alternative.
Put your bank account number on your webpage with the following line :
Send me the money and I'll send you the merchandise.
There are lots of gullible people out there, so you will never be short on customers.

I want to know which is the screen in which the button 'Add Item to Shopping Cart' appears. The function code associated with it is 'ADDI' .
The reason why I want this is that I am trying to add my own button on the same screen .

In SRM 4.0, for the EBP scenario, ITS is used. Hence no BSP applications are available as per my understanding. Pls correct me if I am wrong.
Further, we have noticed that when clicking the Catalog link from the create shopping cart screen, screen 250 is called. However, if the same functionality is executed from the Change mode of the Approvers login, then the HTML code is generated by some FM.

You can get these cards via SP but you will still take a ding to your AAoA for the new account (although depending on your credit profile, this may not have a huge effect). Hope this helps.

When i press command+I (Get Info) i see that there is 140 GB "Available Space" on my hard disk but when i click on my hard disk icon on the desktop, and then press "space" i only see 102 GB free!! What the f*???

Immediately after a question mark symbol appeared on all my hard disk folders. If I click on these question marks I get a message saying ' the item can't be found'.

Not sure where these hard disk folders are located that you are referring to? Finder, Finder tool bar, Finder side bar, Desktop, Dock?
More then likely they are an alias that not longer point to the orginals, thus the question mark.
I would reboot. Delete icons if an alias and just recreate by dragging from the source. Try right click (control) click to remove.

Wiki migrated from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion missing some links

I migrated the wiki instance running on my old Snow Leopard Sever to the new Mountain Lion server following the instructions here

All looked good, but then I find that some, not all, of the links reference the old server instance and come up wtih 404's.
If I right click on the links that are broken and inspect them the results differ.
the outer html has a reference that looks like this

a link that works looks like this
the outer reference is the same but the inner
<a class="cc-route-enabled" href="/wiki/pages/Q4g545J/CMS_Teaching_Infrastructure_2012.html">CMS Teaching Infrastructure 2012</a>
The pages still exist. If you do a find for the link title you can find the page ok.
Is there a way to fix the broken links to remove the absolute paths to the old server?

OK I've managed to retrive my folders by doing the following
1/ Open Finder and click on the Go Menu option
2/ Hold down the Alt key so that 'Library' apperas in the list of folders you can go to
3/ Select 'Library' and navigate to the Mail/Mailboxes folder
4/ Expand the tree and find your personal folders somewhere below that node (each personal folder will have its own .mbox extension)
5/ COPY the folders you want to some different location (eg your desktop). You need to do this as you won't be able to access the original location those files are in in the next couple of steps
6/Go to the mail App and choose File->Import Mailboxes...
7/ Select the 'Apple Mail' option from the 'Import From' section and hit continue
8/ Multiple select all the mailboxes you copied to your desktop in step 5/ above
9/ Now all your mailboxes will appear under an 'Import' node in your mail sidebar
10/ Breath a sigh of relief that you have managed to retrieve your precious personal folders!!!
Not sure why Apple is silent on this issues as obviously loads of people are expeiencing itand the fact that they now hide your library folder by default doesn't help one bit!!!
Anyway hope this helps
