Software compatibility with VISTA

I have tried following the directions online by installing the 4.2.1 desktop software. After I connect, I am still receiving an error box that is titled Intellisync and it says Internal Error. I have tried to uninstall and install multiple versions of the software and I can't get it to work. Is anyone else having this problem.

Unfortunately, the Touchpad doesn't even appear in the device manager. It's just not recognised at all. There's not even an unknown device in there or any devices with errors.
I've tried going to the Toshiba European driver page and have downloaded and installed both drivers. Still no joy. It remains persistantly invisible in the device manager. The Synaptics driver even says during install that it cannot work if the touchpad itself isn't recognised by the OS.
The laptop has been re-booted and the BIOS re-checked for the touchpad being enabled so much it must be getting a persecution complex :-P

  • Photoshop 7 compatibility with Vista 64

I just purchased a new Dell studio computer with Vista 64 OS and Photoshop Elements 7 preloaded.  I cannot get editor to work at all and organizer will not import photos from my camera.  I have followed techs' instructions from Adobe and Dell to no avail.  After many frustrating hours I went to the windows website and discovered Photoshop Elements7 is not compatible with Vista 64.  It would have been nice if the Dell salesman had told me this.  Anyway, I have paid for this software which I can't use and Dell will not give me a refund since the software is preloaded.  I am considering a trial download of Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 to see if it will work with the Vista OS.

Many people have reported that PSE 7 works well on Vista 64.   While Adobe has stated explicitly in writing that it does not support earlier versions of PSE on Vista 64, it has not put that in writing for PSE 7.  A couple of people have reported that Adobe support says that it is not supported, though Adobe customer support is often mistaken about many things.
Did you actually contact Adobe technical support, and did they work with you?   I'm guessing that Adobe business development did the deal with Dell to distribute PSE 7 on Dell Vista 64 computers without consulting customer support, which doesn't want to support Vista 64, and now Adobe is just trying to ignore the mess they created.
When you say "organizer will not import photos from my camera", do you mean that the Adobe Photo Downloader does not launch when you plug in the camera or card?  That is one thing that is known not to work on Vista 64, due ot a Windows limitation.   Have you tried importing the photos by doing File > Get Photos And Videos > From Files And Folders?   What happens when you do that?
With respect to the Editor, you could look at these troubleshooting steps, the first of which are quite simple:
    http://www.johnrellis.com/psedbtool/photoshopelements-6-7-faq.htm#_Troubleshooting_Editor_ crashes
They combine the knowledge from these forums with the Adobe tech notes and are more complete than what most Adobe support people have access to.  You might try working through all the steps, and even if you've tried something similar before, try the steps exactly as written here.

  • Device software compatibility with server software

We are currently in a beta mode syncing BlackBerry devices with an Exchange server using BlackBerry Manager 4.1.  One of our users wants to upgrage his device software from v4.3 to v4.5.  We are trying to determine if that will create any compatibility issues with the server software.
    Solved!

    hello,
I don't think so, but should tjhat happen, you can downgrade back to 4.3.
I think you will find more detailed answers if you post your question on the "Blackberry Enterprise Solution" board.

  • Secure Desktop compatibility with Vista

Cisco states that CSD version 3.3.0.118 will work on Windows Vista if MS hotfix KB935855 is installed- I have yet to see this work. I've also seen a compatibility chart that states that you need Service Pack 1 on Vista- I have gotten that to work.
My issue is I have a lot of users who are reluctant to install sp1 on their personal Vista machines. I don't even want to do this on mine because of the other ill effects it can cause. Does anyone know the exact hotfix that is needed for Vista to work with CSD without having to install sp1?

To the best of my knowledge it can't be done without SP1.

  • Palm IIIx compatable with Vista?

I have just obtained a PalmIIIx. Will it work with my Windows Vista operating system ?
    Post relates to: Palm IIIx

Hi, and welcome to the Palm Community Forums.
You will need the new Palm Desktop 6.2.2 (see Support & Downloads link above at the top of this page).  Then, you will need the new PalmHotSyncSetup application from http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/ .  Note, I have not tried it, but everything I've ever used from Pimloco Software has been first rate, so it should work.
Let us know how you make out.
p.s. I doubt it will work if your Vista system is 64-bit.  There are no 64-bit compatible USB drivers.

  • X-FI XtremeMusic - Compatibility with Vista x64

Hi. I currently have the Audigy 2 ZS installed in the following system:
    Intel Quad Core Q9300 (@ 2.5ghz)
    4GB DDR2
    ATI Radeon HD4650 GB
    Nvidia 730i chipset
Yet installing the drivers provided on the website with the operating system of Windows Vista x64 gave me numerous problems (particuarly in games...no surround hearing or decent bass) so have decided to go for an 'assumed' more supported card - the XFI XtremeMusic.
Now, my question(s) is, when I receive the XFI will the drivers on the CD be Vista x64 be supported and if not does it matter (I needed the CD before for my Audigy 2 ZS on XP before installing the drivers on the Creative website).
Do I get all the GUI apps included
Am I going to get that surround-sound-like hearing back (DirectSound or something is it's - the game I'm particuarly talking about is Americas' Army here if that helps). Bass too
I need to ask these most probably obvious questions before I buy the product, just to save me the dissapointment.
    Thanks,
    Junkz.

    Your question :
when I receive the XFI will the drivers on the CD be Vista x64 be supported
    Answer :
No, most likely you will get an original Windows XP installation CD with Win XP drivers and the software suite for the X-Fi XtremeMusic Soundcard. The Windows XP installation CD for Win XP will not work in the any vista OS. Below is a weblink to get the X-Fi Installation CD for Windows Vista.
This vista installation CD will have all the drivers and software needed to operate the X-Fi ExtremeMusic Soundcard. Yes. the GUI apps are included on the vista installation CD and some upgrades are required.
Whats NOT included on the installation CD is the Dolby Digital Li've and DTS Connect Pack, If you want it you have to buy it separately, weblink below. Also, this vista installation CD does not have the up-to-date drivers and software.
Once you install the Vista installation CD completely, You must either download the updated drivers and software separately from Creative Labs download webpage or use "Creative Software AutoUpdate" to update to the latest drivers and software of your choice.

Put yourself in our shoes.  If I tell you I want to build a rocket, what information would you give me?  You would need to know if it's for a hobby, something bigger, carries a payload, carries living organism, how far does it go, where does it land (if at all), etc...
First of all, we still don't know what you want to do with this relay.  Using a computer to generate is series of pulses is not usually the best way.  What is the frequency of the pulses that you want to transmit?  And why do you want to use a relay?  What are you driving?  Can the relay that you are using fast enough to follow the pulse train that you'll be sending?
Provide information, ask questions politely and people will help you.

  • Adobe software - compatibility with intel Macs

I've just bought a new iMac and hoped to be able to run my elderly Adobe software (InDesign 2 & Photoshop 7). I have enabled Rosetta but when trying to install both programs (from the original discs) it made reference to Classic (which I thought was only used to run programs that were native to OS 9). Needless to say, Photoshop did install but crashes every time I launch while InDesign fails to install at all. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way around it? Or do I have to buy new Adobe software. PS: I have successfully installed and are using, Microsoft Office from 2003.

I am coming from the PC land, I puchased a IMAC QUAD 7 with lots 8 gigs of memory. I tried to install photoshop essentials I think 6 for the Mac it came with a new touchpad. It would not work it crashed immediatly. I installed Photoshop c4 extended, trial version for the Mac it works just fine its problem unlike extended for PC is not 64 bit It only sees 4 of the 8 gigs of memory. It works justfine. It can not open as many pictures at same time but I can only work n one at a time. I am also running Windows 7 64 bit with fusin ware 3. Windows works quiet well. You may be able to run your older photoshop( I believe they came with both Windows and Apple versions) Inside of your apple, fusion and say windows xp are less than photoshop. Just a thought.

Will I have any problems working with older apps in Yosemite (i.e. VueScan, Quicken 2007, Microsoft Office 2008)? Is there a listing anywhere on this site or at Apple for compatibility issues?

  • Virus software compatibility with FCP

Are there any issues regarding running an anti virus software whilst running FCP, I have heard differing views, most subscribing that you end up with lots of problems. Currently I'm the only person using a Mac in an office environment where everyone is using a PC. IT won't allow me access to internet/email etc., unless an anti virus software is installed. Any answers ???
    thx

You need to talk to your IT people explain how the Mac OS X software operates.
Where capturing and video editing is concerned, I always recommend to turn off and uninstall all background utilities whose purpose is to scan files.
    That includes virus software
I'm more conservative on this than Michael, but the problem lies in IT people that lack information.
    Ask them to get educated.

You are worrying about this way too much, simply connect the iMac using the supplied USB cable that comes with the UPS. Then check the Energy Saver settings in System Preferences and you will see the UPS and be able to control it.

  • Softwares compatibility with Mac 0S

I have .lwp and .123 files from an old IBM Thinkpad and now i am on Mac OS X, so i can not read them.
Do you have a solution ?
    Thank you

.123 is probably from Lotus 123.    If you can get a copy of Maclinkplus (no longer made), it may convert those to Excel or iWork's Sheets.    You'll probably need also to install it on Lion, if your MacBook Pro is older than October 24, 2013, or Snow Leopard Server using this tip:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6841
Seeing as http://www.roaringapps.com/ says that Maclinkplus 16 is incompatible with Mountain Lion and up.

    But, I think you have a 32 bit. W7. I have a 64 bit. one and
I think the clue is that a PalmDesktop 6.2 downloadable from this site http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/49229_en.html has no setting for BT connection. So I still have a problem with a sychronization :-)
