[Solved]Cannot copy marked region with 「M-w」 in Emacs 24.2-1

I upgraded my Emacs to version 24.2-1,and I found the default keybinding 「M-w」 cannot work,I did not rebind the key combinatory,neither change the configuration of Emacs. I searched and found nobody like me,and I didn't get information about this officially.
Could anyone give me some hints?

[SOLVED]Cannot copy/cut/paste files in Konqueror

Hi all, I am using KDE4.1.2 (official version). My konqueror cannot copy/cut/paste files in 'file manager' mode, the copy/cut/paste items in the right click menu are always faded out, and C-x/C-c/C-v hotkeys do not work either. However, it can read/write/rename/delete files normally. In fact, 'Move to' and 'Copy to' menu works too. Meanwhile, dolphin does not have this problem. I am a little confused.:mad:

I'm using kdemod, konqueror 4.1.4 in i686, and the paste is always greyed out (same happens with the button in the taskbar). The "copy" action seems to be enabled through ctrl-c and the right-click, but there is no way to say, because no paste can be done. Deleting files works, so it does not seem to be related to permissions.

I installed konq-plugins, but it did not help. The paste is also greyed out in dolphin.
I wonder if anyone is having this same issue? I thought this was solved in 4.1.3

Cannot Copy a Spec with Attachment

Hello everyone
When trying to copy a specification with an attachment, we are presented with an error message stating that the specification cannot be copied until the attachment(s) is removed. I notice that the pdf attachments are not openable within the specifcation either. When opening the actual attachments, we are presented with a pop-up window wit the text - "NO TRANSLATION FOUND FOR 'lblTitle'". Unfortunately, nothing appears in the stacktrace for drl-prodika or application. We are unsure as to why this is happening. Has anybody else experienced this or knnow of any fixes?

We have found that if you are making a Copy from an existing spec, you must save the new spec BEFORE you try to add an attachment or replace the attachment if the original included an attachment. This could be what you are seeing. If you dont save first, you can see the behavior you are describing.
Also occassionally, a user will get impatient if attaching the file takes too long, and they start clicking trying to add it again. Then once it catches up they have 3 attachments, and only one of them has the actual file included in it. Then they delete 2 of 3 duplicates, but delete the good one not knowing which one is the good one. Actually had this happen in production yesterday with a user. We had to delete the remaining one, and simply add the attachment again.

BUG - Copy HTML region with items

When you copy a html region - there is the option to copy buttons and items.
If you specify Yes on items, and specify the same page number, you will receive validation error "You may only copy items to a different page". However, change it to No, and the items are still copied. In fact, the items are always copied whether you check yes or no to copy items. This is the case whether you are copying to the same page or not.
I don't have a problem with having the ability to copy items in the same page, in fact i'd prefer that. But currently, there is no option not to copy them.
OK.. Test Cases:
To different page:
Copy items - No; Copy Buttons - Yes = everything is copied
Copy items - Yes; Copy Buttons - No = items only are copied (expected)
To same page:
Copy items - No; Copy buttons - Yes - everything is copied
Copy items - No; Copy buttons - No - nothing is copied (expected)
I have verified this bug on apex.oracle.com

[Solved] Cannot burn CD's with LG drive on new system

Arch x86_64 (up-to-date) on a Zotac GF-8200-C-E miniITX motherboard, Athlon II X2 240 CPU with an LG SATA GH22NS50 DVD+-RW drive. The drive reads CD's fine, but cannot burn anything successfully. The drive works fine on a WinXP system. I have tried burning as root with bashburn, cdrecord, and xfburn, to no avail. I have also tried changing the SATA section in my BIOS from IDE to AHCI to no avail and have tried various media. The drive has the latest firmware installed. Part of my cdrecord log is below - showing the errors:

[SOLVED] Cannot open x apps with sudo

Hi all,
I just did a fresh install of kde in Arch, and I cannot open any x server apps, like kwrite, using "sudo kwrite". I tried xhost +localhost and my user name, but that didn't work. Then I tried tweaking the $DISPLAY... I couldn't get anything to happen either. Can anyone give me a few helpful pointers? Thanks!

try with "sudo -E gedit"
from sudo manual:

I I am having trouble copying from any text to my clipboard and then pasting it into another document. The clipboard has a past copy of another line of text and it will not clear it and over right it.

Try closing all apps and then reset your iPad and see if that has any effect on the behavior. If that doesn't help, try resetting all settings.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If you reset all settings, you will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.

I tried to get qpdfview working with chromium, but I didn't find out how… does someone knows how to do this?
Is it possible? I only read about people installing evince, acroread or okular but I don't really like any of them pdfreaders…

Hi, I had a similar issue with an HPC4480, I unplugged both the power & connecting cable from the printer,
rebooted my mac & then reconnected the printer, it was ok after that, check with the HP site about updates for your particular OS & drivers etc..

It is fixed. You just need to be patient and wait for the mirrors to resync. As many mirrors need to resync all the repo packages, there are not enough bandwidth for all the mirrors. So it will take some time. ftp.archlinux.org is a mirror just like the other ones. The only difference is that we are the ones in charge of it.

ITunes cannot find find on NAS and marks them with "!" - Only double-click helps

I have placed my iTunes library on my Synology NAS. After I (hopefully) got rif of my connection problems by switcvhing from afp to a nfs connection there is still another probem: iTunes does not "find" the songs on the NAS after have started it and marks them with the "!" sign on the left side of the name. If I double click on the song, that one is now properly found and play... This is somewhat "not useable", but it works when I am sitting in front of my Mac....
BUT:
When I connect to my iTunes library from my AppleTv or my iPad when I want to stream some music to the AppleTV, only those songs are available that I doubleclick some time before - when they are marked with that "!". This behavior of course is not "usable" at all.
MY QUESTION:
Is there some way to force iTunes to scan the libray and find those songe marked with "!". I know that sometimes iTunes asks for finding some of the not located songs but even then not all of the "!" are gone. That only happens when I double click it manually or show iTunes the song in the "find" dialog that pops up if it really cannot find the songs.

Cannot copy photos from HP Photosmart with Windows Vista

I know how to copy photos onto my iPod (30G) and have done so before. I recently bought a new computer with Vista and cannot copy photos from my Pictures folder. I get a message that says, "Some of the photos...were not copied to the iPod...because they cannot be displayed on your iPod." What can I do to help fix this? I have tried resizing and using Adobe Photoshop and I get the same message.

I use Picasa. You don't have to use iTunes at all. Connect the phone with the USB cable and launch the app of your choice, such as Picasa. Click the "Import" button at the upper left. Your iPhone should appear in the dropdown of choices to import from. You can then import all or some of the photos in the Camera Roll. You should be able to do the same thing with Microsoft Picture Manager or any other photo management program.
The reason that Elements is the only choice is that's the only one that iPhoto on the phone recognizes albums in.
You cannot move photos INTO the Camera Roll from your computer; it's a one-way transfer. But you can sync photos to the Photos app on the iPhone. You either use Elements, or just create a folder on your computer for photos to sync, then create a sub-folder for each album you want on your computer. Copy the photos to each album, then go to the Photos tab in iTunes and select the top-level folder. When you sync each sub-folder will become an album on the iPhone.
However, I consider the photo app on the iPhone rather limited and klunky. Instead I use the app MyPics from the app store. It syncs photos from my Picasa Web albums directly to the phone over the air. I can also create albums in Picasa Web from the phone, and upload images from the Camera Roll directly to Picasa Web.
Another way to get photos (and other files) to and from the phone is Dropbox and similar cloud-based storage solutions.

Yes you can drag and drop music to the iPiod if you select Manually Manage Music and Videos in iTunes.
