SOMEONE HAS HACKED MY REWARDZONE ACCOUNT

Someone has hacked my rewardzone account.  They changed the phone number on the account, and have used the account to purchase 2 tablets.  Fortunately the credit card used is not one I (knowingly) own.  In fact I just checked a free credit report and don't see the credit card there.  Still this is very disconcerting.  I called BestBuy customer service but they were of little help.  Why would someone do this?!  I only had $5 in rewards in the account.

Hello menglehart,
Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and thank you for connecting with us.
I can imagine your surprise and the concern you may have felt when you saw a purchase that you did not make displayed in your My Best Buy™ account.  With the growing concern over identity theft nowadays, it is understandable to cautious.  I looked over your account using the email address you registered with the forum and it would appear to me that everything should be fine.
As CrystalWoW mentioned, your personal credit card information is separate from your My Best Buy™ account.  Do any family members have access to your account?  The last name for the person that placed the order and the last name on the credit card used match your last name.  The email address that was used and the shipping address appear to be similar as well.
I would like to go over your My Best Buy™ account with you in greater detail and make sure the information associated with your account is up-to-date, so I will be sending you a private message.  To check your private messages, you will want to login to the forum and click on the little yellow envelope icon located at the top of the page.  I look forward to further speaking with you.
I hope you have a wonderful day!

You should consider enabling two-factor verification on your Apple ID, to further protect it. Without doing that, it's entirely possible that a hacker who gains access to your account in the future could take control of your Apple ID away from you entirely.
You also should consider whether any confidential information might be stored in iCloud. If you have made the mistake of putting a list of passwords in the Notes app, for example, that list should be considered compromised, and all passwords should be changed (and removed from the Notes app).
If you used the same password as your old iCloud password for other accounts, you need to change the password on all those accounts.
You should also alert your contacts that your e-mail was compromised, so that they are cautious about trusting any attachments supposedly coming from you. Keep in mind that the spammer can continue to "spoof" your e-mail address on the From line of new e-mail messages, even without access to your e-mail account.

Someone has hacked my itunes account and charged hundreds of dollars to my credit card. I have cancelled my card twice and they can still do it because I enter the new info into my phone. The credit card company said that I need to change my account password. Does anyone know how to change your password on an iphone?

I don't have an iPhone but it may be somewhere along the steps for removing card information

    Hello Corinne Craven,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
You can update the name on your Apple ID here:
    Appleid.apple.com
If you suspect unauthorized access to your apple ID I would normally recommend resetting your password, but you have already done this.
Here is some information about 2 step verification which is another level of security for your account.

Be sure to read all the information in the article if you choose to use two-step verification.
    Take care,

  • Someone has hacked into my ipad!

I've been having problems with my password and I've had to reset it several times. Now someone has hacked in and downloaded a game in my ipad! How do I contact apple to get a refund for the price of the game? More importantly how can I stop this happening again?

    Nobody has hacked your iPad.
Someone, somehow has got the password to your AppStore account, downloaded an app using your account, and you have Automatic Downloads turned on in your iPad.
First thing is to login to your AppleID/AppStore account and change the password to something VERY secure and don't share it with anyone.
Then contact iTunes Support and tell them what happened.

Someone has hacked my things, how do I turn wifi off, and when will it be safe to go back on? Also, do I need to reset everything? I have already changed passwords, covered my webcam, etc. Will they still have access to my computer?

Could you explain what you mean by 'Someone has hacked my things'?
What Mac do you have, with what version of OS X?
What security do you have on your wi-fi?

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
    If that is true, then you need to promptly secure your account by resetting the Apple ID's password;
    Manage your Apple ID -

Apple considers all sales as final, but has been known to offer a one time refund.

  • Why does my android message me that someone has logged into my account? how do I make it stop.

Don't know what I pressed but everytime I log in to Firefox (which is about 100 times a day) My phone gives me a message
that someone has logged into my account. Make it stop.

    Hi arsthegreat:
I don't understand what happened. Clarification please:
    # What do you mean by "log in to Firefox". Do you mean login to your Firefox account? or do you mean log in to some other site. If it's not a Firefox account than it's probably not a Firefox issue.
    # What do you mean by "My phone gives me a message that someone has logged into my account.". Do you mean text message? or an email? or someting else
    # Any further info on what version of Firefox, what version of Android and what you did, what happened, what you expected would be super helpful.
    Cheers!
    ....Roland
