Status Definition in Project Administration

Hi@ll
i want to know, if you define Status in the PROJECT_ADMIN then this statuses will be available at diffrent locations, e.g. Business Blueprint Documents, Configurations Documents etc.
For example, i define 5 status: open, closed, in work, paused, reopened
All them will be shown everywhere i can set a status!
So, if i want e.g. at a business process description dcument only two status: open and in work; can i define this? or will i always be able to choose of all status at e.g. business process description dcument???

Hi Marco,
The status values you define at SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN aren't meant to be available for Documents you upload, they are for other tabs/reasons, including the following:
(1) As a possible Status value in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN itself, in General Data tab
(2) Admin Tab of SOLAR01/ 02
For Status Values for Documents, you have to make settings in Configuration as follows:
SPRO
SAP Solution Manager  -> Configuration -> Scenario-specific settings -> Cross-scenario settings -> Document Management -> Status for Documents
You may also like to read other nodes and what they stand for. They are very useful indeed - provided the project is ready to let the SolMan Consultant gather requiremetns and do a proper job. Many of them cannot be (should not be) done in a hurry

    1. if it is left blank- There will not be any user status for PD. Hence all the transaction control will be by the system status.U can add profile later.
    2. if PS000001 is specified- User status control for PD will be from profile PS000001.
    3. if 00000001 is specified- User status control for PD will be according to the profile  00000001

    I have to set the User Status for the Project Definition and the WBS elements in that project.
    The User status to be set is the same for the project and wbs elements.

    Hi Shkithija,
    There is a dump encoutered in the form "PS_FLAG_GET_GLOBAL_FLAGS" for 'chk_precommit_ok' in the "BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT".
    But it is showing SY-SUBRC = 0 when used along with BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.
    May i know what are input parameters we need to pass it to "BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT".
    Do you have any idea.

    You dont have this option in any STD SAP t.codes, where you can change the status of the projects/WBSE collectively.
    So use this BAPI to Read  the status of Project/WBSE
    BAPI_BUS2001_GET_STATUS   To get both the active system statuses and the user statuses for a project definition
    use this BAPI to Change  the status of Project/WBSE
    BAPI_BUS2001_SET_STATUS
    one system status and one user status  can be revoked each time, and one system status  and one user status  can be set each time for a project definition 
    For Network order status change
    BAPI_BUS2002_SET_STATUS
    Set/Reset Network Status. At the same time, you can revoke one system status and one user status, or set one system status and one user status in a list of activities for the network.

    Please go through OSS note 423857.
    Symptom
    When you call the transaction SPRO or SPRO_ADMIN a syntax error occurs in the program SAPLSPRO_STATUS. The error can also occur when calling the Testworkbench in the program SAPLSTATUS. The message is 'The addition 'FROM' is missing'.
    Cause and prerequisites
    The cause is changes with the change documents which only appear, however, when the change document object is transported or generated again.
    Solution
    Import the corresponding Basis support package
    Reward points if this is helpful.

    Could someone help me understand the integration of Change Management and Project Administration within Solution Manager, pls? I would be very grateful for a sample process to demonstrate the complete workflow. Eg.
    1) Support Messages is created
    2) Change Request is created from Support Message
    3) A project is created for the Change Request
    4) ??? What about the blueprint, configuration, testing, learning features? How do they integrate with CHARM?
    x) at the end, how does the project created for the Change Request integrate with the project that documents the business process? I mean, if the actual processes of an R/3 system are documented in a SolMan project, and a Change Request is processed, how do I modify the general project with the change project?
    This is absolutely not clear either in the on-line help or in the book "SAP Solution Manager"

    I am not quite clear what exactly is your requirement here. Change Request Management and Project management are different in their ways. You can handle the documenation tasks through your project management and ChaRM is used for the changes.

  • Cannot map roles other than Project Administrator and SOA Designer

    I've installed PS4 HC FP Stage 3 on Windows, and I have seeded the demo community users. When I use Business Process Workspace to map roles to these users, the only roles available to me in the Select Role list are Project Administrator and SOA Designer. I was expecting to be able to map far more roles, thus:
    * mtwain needs the Project Creator, Designer, Deployer, Project Documentor, and SOA Designer roles.
    * jcooper needs the Designer role.
    Any idea what's wrong?

    I would like to know also. I have made many DVDs, but the number order does seem to be random. For presentation purposes I want to play a specific clip by hitting it's corresponding number on the DVD player remote when the DVD is at a complete stop (so if I put the movie clip in the 2 spot and hit the number 2 on the remote, then the 2 movie clip will play). I can get this to work from the menu by dropping them in iDVD in the order I want and waiting for each to encode before dropping the next, but at a complete stop I cannot ensure number 2 on the remote will play number 2 on the DVD. To me it looks like iDVD gives those numbers in the order in which the audio is encoded when burning, with the shorter clips first and longer ones last.
    Can anyone help me?

  • Is the new feature of material status definition is supported in ASCP r12

    Hi all
    I am facing new requirement from Customer which is on R12.
    They have a warehouse which by definition is non Nettable. This  warehouse manage by locators.
    Customer requirement is that group of locators in the warehouse will be nettable despite that the warehouse it self set as non nettable.
    They can't set those locators in different nettable warehouse.
    My question is releated to the new feature of material status definition on R12 as a nominate for solution for this issue.
    As I saw I can set material status as nettable and assigned it to the locator.
    I haven't test it yet and I will appreciate your best practices /knowledge feedback  If this feature supported in ASCP

    First of all, Warehouses cannot be nettable/non-nettable. I assume when you say warehouse you are referring to Sub-Inventory. You can only have a nettable/non-nettable sub-inventory.
    The precise answer to your query on material status is NO.
    As of now ASCP does not have the capability to plan based on the material statuses defined in source.
    ASCP do not collect the Material Status related information.

  • System Status Change for Project Definition

    Hi,
    I am working on a requirement to notify the Project Manager when the Project Status changes to REL.
    I couldn't find any user exits where I can add the code to send an e-mail notification at the time of status change of the Project Definition or the WBS elements within the Project.
    I checked for events in Business Objects BUS2054(WBS) and BUS2001(ProjectDefinition) which might get triggered at the time of status change. I couldn't find any events relevant to Status Change.
    Any ideas how to handle this requirement ?

    Do we have any reports in SAP which will shows the status of all the projects, the same way I want to the report for WBS elements and activities also? I want to check the what all the projects in closed status and what are all technically closed, what are all in open status. Friends please suggest me the appropriate reports for my requirement.

    In almost all standard SAP raports you can see some icon - Status -
    If you use it you can choose project definitions, WBS elements, networks, activities with status chosen by you.
    And PS Information system will show you only objects whit chosen status.

    You might also want to review the Project Status Inquiry Setup chapter on the Projects User Guide release 11.0, which list the exact definition and formulas.
    01) Ovr Bgt - this column will show the character '*' if the inception to date actual amount plus the commitment amount exceed the cost budget amount. You can select the budget type on the tools menu.
    02) YTD - Rev Bgt - Year to Date accumulative amount of revenue budget.
    03) YTD - Act Rev - Year to Date accumulative amount of actual accrued revenue
    04) YTD - Cst Bgt - Year to Date accumulative burdened amount of cost budget.
    05) YTD - Act Cost - Year to Date accumulative burdened amount of actual distributed costs
    06) Commit Amt - current burdened amount of summarized commitments
    07) PTD - Act Cost - Period to Date accumulative burdened amount of actual distributed costs
    08) Tot - Rev Bgt - Total revenue budget from the start date till the end date of the project

    12) Est to Cmplt - Estimate to Complete. This is a calculated measure based on the formula Estimate to Complete:
    Total current burdened cost budget amount – (ITD actual burdened cost + PTD commitment burdened cost)
    13) Summarization Exception - list a note if summarization process could not complete successfully.

    Can you help me to provide a procedure how to find it through tables?
    For example I find process order status in table JCDS & JEST by adding letters OR followed by 4 zeros as a prefix to process order & enter in to field object number.

    Hi,
    Follow the same procedure by using the object number of the WBS. It starts with "PR". You can get the object number of the WBS from PRPS table. To get the object number of the activities you can refer the table AFVC. Pass on the WBS in the AFVC table and execute it. This will list all the activitiies that fall under the WBS you entered.
    As an alternative you can use the report CN41N to fetch objects with the REL and CNF status. Change the layout to include the column "Status" in the report. You need to define a status selection profile to fetch only the objects having the REL and CNF status. Refer SAP Help to understand more about this.
