System Status Change for Project Definition
Hi,
I am working on a requirement to notify the Project Manager when the Project Status changes to REL.
I couldn't find any user exits where I can add the code to send an e-mail notification at the time of status change of the Project Definition or the WBS elements within the Project.
I checked for events in Business Objects BUS2054(WBS) and BUS2001(ProjectDefinition) which might get triggered at the time of status change. I couldn't find any events relevant to Status Change.
Any ideas how to handle this requirement ?

why don't you try the following:
in project builder CJ20N (project definition) use the I (informaton button) where the System/User status ism and then in the next screen use the menu Extras->Changed Documents ->All.
Next screen press button history...
(or even CN60 transaction)

Hi Experts,
I need exit for CJ20N where system status changes can be captured
for both the below cases
1) When WBS Element is having Networks inside it
2) when WBS Element is having no networks inside it
EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 --->>> ZXCO1U01 , will work for 1) , but not for 2)
i want an exit where status change gets captured for both cases 1 and 2 and
will do further processing according to client needs based on status change
Need to trigger IDOC on status change of WBS element.
If WBS is having network inside it , then network status changes also with WBS status change
and IDOC should trigger for WBS also.
I just want suitable exit / place for coding . Rest i can do.
if no suitable exit / BADI , then what is the best possible place where i can go for Implicit Enhancement

I need to perform custom validations on standard fields which cannot be done through OPSI or OPUC transactions. 0007 or 0002 User exits seem to assist on custom field creations/validations. However, I do see people posting the following BADIs which may be useful.
CO_SRULE_CHECK
PROJECTDEF_UPDATE
WORKBREAKDOWN_UPDATE (which you already tried)
WBS_FIELDS_FOR_ASSET
CO_SRULE_CDOC
Let me know if any of these worked out...

Hai Experts,
Please help me 'How to find next number range for project definition in tcode "CJ20N". I was trying in function module NUMBER_GET_NEXT. Is it right function module? If its right what input i need to give for this tcode and for the field project definition?
Note: I searched in forum before posting, but couldn't find the solution.

For project defination internal number is assigned by system.
When you saves's project then system allocate one number to project defination, you can view it,
SE11 >>> table PROJ >> Click on contents >>> execute,
here you will get your project defination & number is assigned to project defination.

Including customized fields in Field selection for Project definition
Hi Experts,
I have created additional zfields in Project definition,
But those fields are not coming in customization node " Field selection for Project Definition".
Is there any way , by which we can include those fields in the list of " Field selection for Project Definition" in customization ,
so that i can hide/disable for diff project Profile.

actually one can try to add customer fields to field configuration using transaction SFAW alike SAP own fields.
It is usually possible to extend the list of the modifiable fields of the field selection in transaction SFAW within the framework of a
modification (as long as the fields are relative to tables PRPS or PROJ). The relevant module pool is SAPLCJWB.
Example
E.g. for the SAP field 'functional area' (field PRPS-FUNC_AREA) one would proceed as follows:
In the transaction SFAW, Module pool SAPLCJWB, Screen group PRPS
-Select 'Modified fields', and choose 'Change'.
-Enhance the list of the modifiable fields by the following entries :
PRPS-FUNC_AREA. Answer yes to the question : do you want the field to
be modifiable?.
Don't forget to save and then click on the 'generate button' of the
transaction SFAW.
- The relevant field for distribution profile would be PRPS-PGPRF.
In the same manner one can try to add the Z field.
Please note: This procedure is considered as a modification, so please review note
114390 which discusses a problem which can occur during an upgrade.

PS: Setting Project Profile as a mandatory field for Project Definition

I would like to know how to set Project Profile as a mandatory field for Project Definition (CJ20N or CJ01). I tried to look for controls at OPUK config but the Project Profile is not available for definition - either mandatory, optional, suppressed, etc. Would appreciate if you can share your expertise on this.

I would like to know how to include some additonal fields in OPUK/OPUJ. We have defined some .INCLUDE component / fields to SAP standard table PRPS/PROJ. We want those fields to also appear in OPUK/OPUJ so that we could also defined their characteristics - whether input, mandatory, suppressed, etc.

We want to install the Project Systems and the requirement is to report on the following fields:
Project Definition (Project Definition PROJ PSPID)
Project Definition (PS Short Description PROJ POST1)
Project Definition (System Status CNJ_STAT STTXT_INT)
WBS Element (Project Type PRPS PRART)
WBS Element (Short ID PRPS POSKI)
WBS Element (Person Responsible PRPS VERNR)
WBS Element (Company Code PRPS PBUKR)
R/3 Table Names and Field names are in brackets.
0PROJECT_ATTR & 0PROJECT_TEXT are DataSources of 0PROJECT Master Data.
0WBS_ELEMT_ATTR & 0WBS_ELEMT_TEXT are DataSources of 0WBS_ELEMT Master Data.
How can I find the transaction data for those above fields, PLEASE ?

System status blank for equipment - no changes allowed
Hi,
We want to dismantle an equipment as it is no longer at the customer's location.
When I go in IE02, I get following message.
"Change technical object" is not allowed (EQU 10051040 )
Message no. BS002
Diagnosis
The transaction 'Change technical object' is not allowed for EQU
10051040, because no status is set to permit it.
System Response
You cannot carry out the transaction 'Change technical object'.
Procedure
You can carry out this transaction if you set a user status, which
permits 'Change technical object'.
I put the User Status on "Released", but still not possible to change the equipment.
When checking the System Status, I noticed that it is blank.
As no changes are allowed, I cannot manually change the System Status.
Also in IQ02 I get the same message and no System Status is filled.
Anyone an idea how to workaround so we can dismantle the equipment?

Yes I have run that program, but it hasnt changed anything. There is a user status AVLB in the equipment. When i checked in the status profile, this user status is not forbidden for any transactions. The program RISTEQ03 seems to work if there no user status also. But for my case, a user status is there, but there is no system status. Since there is no system status, the equipment could not be accessed through change mode (ie02). I need the system status AVLB in the equipment. The equipment does not even have any other details like functional location, maint. plant, sales area data, etc. in it.

i know i can see it using cn60
but now, the system states that there is no data.
i have ticked document change in the project profile.
it seems useless.
could anyone tell me how i can see the change documents?

Not in the under status management. Section.
Run transaction CJEN for project
And check in cn60.
Regarding checking changes in cj20n.
Cj20nu2026.click on the WBS/Activity(which one u want to see).
Editmenuu2026.status.....systemstatus/userstatus.
Go to extramenuu2026..change documentsu2026.all.
Check in Allchangesu2026.and history.
I hope it will reach your req.

Grey field for project definition and WBS element
Dear all,
I have created a project and WBS element in CJ01. Now I go via CJ02 to the change mode and the project ID and WBS element ID is not greyed out. But I would like that the system shows these key fields as not changeable anymore, only fields like description should be changable. Can you please tell me, which customizing step I missed to get the grey field for project ID/WBS element ID?
FYI I do not use a project mask to create the project.

I don't think you can grey out the Project Definition and the WBS Element fields after the creation .
If you want to restrict the users to change the Proj definition and WBS , a better way is through
Authorization objects and restricting only specified users to change the WBS

Issue in CJ20N tcode for project definition field
Hi guys,
After the project definition is created in the system, I have executed the transaction code and when I clicked on change icon(toggle button which is available in the application toolbar) the project definition field is in edit mode. This should not happen at all.

Status Change for Purchase order in Process Purchase order
Hi All,
We have implemented SRM 4.0 with Extended Classic scenario.
SRM does provide standard status for Process Purchase order worklist (such as Ordered, Held, Error in Process etc.). Is there any BADI i can use to overright my own status message for the PO.
To give brief background of the requirement. Client wanted status to be changed to "Cancel" For POs whose all the line items we have deleted or "Close" when Last delivery or Final Invoice check is ticked.
I am aware that i can use BBP_DOC_SAVE_BADI as structure BBP_PDS_ITEM i can get items deletion indicator. But will i able to change the standard Status message?
Presently even though all line items marked delete still shows PO as "Ordered" status.
Kindly let me know if i can acheive with anyway.

Thank you for your response. I have few doubts about the configuration which you have suggested.
- Define Status schema for User status will create a status Profile in which i have to include my own status. In the document of Define Status Schema it specifies that After creating User profile you have to assign same profile to transaction types. (I.e. BUS2201 or BUS2121 etc).
My concern is will my own status profile over-write the standard status which is coming? such as Ordered, Created, Transmission fail etc.
If so then do i have to create status profile to include all the Standard Status message in it as well?
- Other thing i found that Ordering PO goes through many standard status message (COMP, CRTD, CTRA, DCOM, ORDR) and always the last status in the Hearder will display on ITS level. Is my understanding right?
- I found that there is a standard system status message I1045 (BECN Cancel) Can i use this through BADI?

Hi,
Can I have a standard report which shows the dates of each and every status (user & system) of a production order.
I need to have a report for a list of productio orders at a time.
If we go to CO03, header menu, status changes option is there, but it only caters for single production order.
Table JCDS is available to know the dates but I need a standard one rather than a Z development.
Or you can guide me any function module.

TJ02T - to Decode the status Number
as the status data you will get from JEST is in very typical form you have to use TJ02T to find the exact status

REL is set when WBS is set to REL - CJ20N edit->status-> release
SETC ise set when settlement rule on WBS is creaed
BUDG is set when you carry out budgeting via txn CJ30
so it depends on what system status you want set, then execute the following business transaction manually or via program/ development.
However for setting REL or TECO you might be able to use some function modules
