Status values in projects

Hi,
I am defining the project status values in transaction 'solar_project_admin' under 'project standards' tab as follows.
Z25 - 25% complete
Z50 - 50% complete
Z75 - 75% complete
Z100 - 100% complete
There are columns called valuation and sort sequence next to status and name .
What is the usage and where in IMG do we configure these.

Hi Mike,
it's not maintainded in IMG but in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN on tab "Project Standards". There click on the button "Project Template" at the bottom.

we are facing a problem while stting up CHARM in a three system landscape:
The error occurs wile attempting to create an IMG project:

Message no. SOLAR_SPROJECT022
Diagnosis
When you create a customzing project in the component system, the Solution Manager project status values are copied. If these values do not yet exist in the component system, they are created. If they already exist, they are not changed.
In this case, the copied status values exist in the component system, but they may have a different meaning: their descriptions differ.
Procedure
Check the meaning of the status values and make them match. If this is not possible, create and use new status values to avoid inconsistencies.
How can I check and change this settings in component systems?

Do you know where the status values in (each client) or centrally (SolMan?) could be modified?
I think there are some changes to be done, cause there are all identically configured but none of them has a specific status description.

Status Definition in Project Administration

Hi@ll
i want to know, if you define Status in the PROJECT_ADMIN then this statuses will be available at diffrent locations, e.g. Business Blueprint Documents, Configurations Documents etc.
For example, i define 5 status: open, closed, in work, paused, reopened
All them will be shown everywhere i can set a status!
So, if i want e.g. at a business process description dcument only two status: open and in work; can i define this? or will i always be able to choose of all status at e.g. business process description dcument???

Hi Marco,
The status values you define at SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN aren't meant to be available for Documents you upload, they are for other tabs/reasons, including the following:
(1) As a possible Status value in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN itself, in General Data tab
(2) Admin Tab of SOLAR01/ 02
For Status Values for Documents, you have to make settings in Configuration as follows:
SPRO
SAP Solution Manager -> Configuration -> Scenario-specific settings -> Cross-scenario settings -> Document Management -> Status for Documents
You may also like to read other nodes and what they stand for. They are very useful indeed - provided the project is ready to let the SolMan Consultant gather requiremetns and do a proper job. Many of them cannot be (should not be) done in a hurry

Document status values

Hello!
I am on solar02 transaction and pulling out IMG objects for configuration. After configuring I am documenting the config in the by pulling object-document . The default status values for this in "processing status"column are - open, in process, finished and not relevant". How do I add more status values to this drop down menu?

Hi Mark,
you need to create 2 status schemes.
Goto SPRO > SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide > SAP Solution Manager > Advanced Configuration > Scenario-Specific Settings > Implementation > Document Management > Status for Documents > Define Document Status Schemes
Do these steps for a blueprint schema and config schema
1. Click yes to the Cross-Client popup
2. Click the New Entries button
3. Name you status Schema
4. Click Save
5. Highlight the new schema
6. Click the status value folder on the left
7. Click the New Entries button
8. Add you values in the order you wish, initial status, min, max, ect..
9. Click save
Go to SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN
Open your project
Click the Project Standards tab
Click the Documentation Types tab
Click the Project Template button (bottom right)
Find you documentation types for Blueprint and Configuration in the right hand box
Go to the last column for those documentation types (you'll need to scroll)
Select the newly created schema
Click the save button
Dont forget to assign point

Status Values for Test Management

Has anyone else encountered odd behaviour when maintaining test status values?
For example, in the IMG (STWB_SET Transaction) the table that holds the status values has 10 entries, however the drop down that the end user accesses only has 6.
Another thing I noticed is that when you add / change / delete test status values, a drop down entry TEST_ERROR appears when selecting the status.
Has anyone else noticed this? Do you have a solution?

It's all here, it just needs to be put together.
SP10 IMG path
1. Go to SAP Solution Manager > Scenario specific settings >Implementation > Optional activities > Document Management > Status for Documents > <b>Define Document Status Schemes</b>
2. Click New Entries and add a new schema
3. Highlight the new schemas and click on the Status Values folder
4. Add the new values
5. Go to Project Administation > Project Standards tab > Documentation Types Tab > Click Project Template button.
6. In the last column of each Document Type select the proper status schema that you created.

Earned Value with Project Web App 2013?

Hi folks,
Earned Value in Project Client is quite fine, the choice of calculate against actual or status date is a nice feature. But using Project Web App I lack the option of setting the status date - is EVA in Project Web App 2013 really restricted to the actual
date? Or is the status date set automatically by approved task updates?

Hi Olaf,
Unfortunately the status date cannot be set from PWA, and there is no automatic update behind. The intent is that the PM updates the status date and the tasks in MS Project Pro and the team members and executives can consult EVA from PWA.

Retrieve all values from project type when project type combo box is null

Hi,
We are facing a tight situation here. We have a scenario where we have 2 filter options.
1) Department ID
2) Project type
When department ID is selected all the department IDs should be populated in the combo box and the project type combo box should be empty.
Similarly, when project type is selected all the project types should be populated in the combo box and the department ID combo box should be empty.
Then, when more than one value is selected from department ID box and all the values from project type must be retrieved from query level (as per business logic).
How do we do this? Kindly help us with this situation.

Basically my situation slightly different.
I am trying to do a bulk insert on SQL Server table using prepared statement, during that time i am getting the exception. I am using JDBC-ODBC driver. However, if i do individual record insertion, it is working.
Any idea about this type of problem ?

I have created a project. I am unable to change the status of the project to APPROVED. I am getting the below error:-

You dont have this option in any STD SAP t.codes, where you can change the status of the projects/WBSE collectively.
So use this BAPI to Read the status of Project/WBSE
BAPI_BUS2001_GET_STATUS To get both the active system statuses and the user statuses for a project definition
use this BAPI to Change the status of Project/WBSE
BAPI_BUS2001_SET_STATUS
one system status and one user status can be revoked each time, and one system status and one user status can be set each time for a project definition
For Network order status change
BAPI_BUS2002_SET_STATUS
Set/Reset Network Status. At the same time, you can revoke one system status and one user status, or set one system status and one user status in a list of activities for the network.

I want to set value of project code to Reciept from production matrix after selecting Production order number.I have taken project code field in Production order header.That project code value i have to set in Reciept from production. I got the Project code no by query but I cant set it to Reciept from production Matrix project column.

The cell should be foucsed before setting value for it. try this:

How can I retrieve the document line status value from UI

Hi,
Right now I need to do some check with the each document line status in UI, but it seems it doesn't exist in the the matrix. When I try to use code like this:
oEditText = (SAPbouiCOM.EditText)oMatrix.Columns.Item("LineStatus").Cells.Item(i).Specific;
It gives me Invalit Column error, I guess the line status field does not exist in the matrix. Do I have to use DI or SQL query to retrieve the like status value?

If the document is open on the screen, you can of course get line status from the UI.
It is column 40:

As Standard there are 2 separate search fields for Status.
One for User Status
One for System Status
Are you sure that the other Status value you require are not for other Service Transactions different to the one you are wanting to search on?
If you need to make a only the User Status for a given selected Transaction Type, then you would need to make an enhancement to that Component

Navigation ->Payables->Oracle Payables ->Invoices->Inquiry->Invoices ->go to Invoice status block and open to Status LOV
plz provide me sql query to find those status lov values and accounted values for any supplier & invoice num.

The invoice approval status does not come from any table / lookup.
Instead, Oracle builds it by calling the ap_invoices_pkg.get_approval_status function.
You can also call it by passing invoice_id, payment_status_flag and invoice_type_lookup_code.
All these 4 columns are present on the ap_invoices_all record.

Display Char Status Values

Hi BW Wizards,
I have a query which I run by calendar month/year via a variable. The query runs off a multi-provider and is restricted to two info-providers. I would like to show the Status values for each info-provider by month per ID.
The problem is that Status is a Char and so are all the other info-objects used in the query. I would like to show the status values which are alphabetic- they are not numeric. The query is defined as follows:
Rows
1. Calendar
2. ID Number
Columns
Info-Provider
Status
I get blanks in the white result value cells as I am not using a Key Figure. I know I can set a counter by using a formula selection but I actually need to see the values for status per cal date and ID....this could be a status value of A, C, D etc which all represent a meaning in business.
How can I achieve this?

HI Venkat,
This is a good suggestion and a correct one, but actually I did this but the users would like the status in the columns, I tried this but the ID must then also go in the columns and causes a scrolling problem. This is due to the fact that we have 40000 IDs in a monthly report and if they go in the columns its difficult to easy look through the report as opposed to if they were going down the rows.
Do you know how I could provide them with what they need.
