Subscription renew notification mislead me and my ...

My subscription has been renewed 2 days ago. I received an email and also in Skype it told me "We've delivered your order" and today while I called relying on this I got my balance used but not subscription. I contacted to support and was told that Skype bills 3 days before the subscription ends. Ok, I can understand this if it bills before, but then why I was told that the order was delivered? 
Because it told me that the order has been delivered I made a call and ended up with emptying my balance. 
I think this is not good to inform a customer about delivery while it has NOT been delivered yet.
Would be glad to hear your opinions about the this issue.  

Sorry to hear that! I tend to use the default Messages app more than anything else too.
I'm curious about your issue because you said "most iPhone users..." That can make the situation a little bit tricky, but it can also be used to your advantage, because if you compare the messaging/cellular settings on one iPhone that works and one that doesn't, you will likely find your resolution. I'd suggest looking at an iPhone that doesn't receive your messages and try to make the settings match the settings of an iPhone that successfully receives your texts.
Since it only happens with iPhone users the problem is likely not on your end; it's more than likely an issue with iMessage on the recipients' phone, but you can certainly try to deactivate your iMessage account (if you have one). Deregister and Turn Off iMessage - Apple Support. Bear in mind that this tool is usually used to solve issues that are the opposite of yours (iPhone users cannot send texts to you).

  • Big problem with iTunes Match and subscription renewal -- think twice before you sign up!!

    A little over a year ago I signed up for iTunes Match thinking it would be an excellent way to free up some space on my drive and save me some time by providing access to all of my music on my phone/ other devices. About 100gbs was uploaded without incident. I deleted that music from my drive thinking that iTunes match is like any other cloud based service. In August my subscription came up for renewal. In August I had also switched debit cards. The auto-renew failed. I received notification of such and then went to update my new card information with the account. The card information updated successfully, but when i then went to update my iTunes Match I would receive the error message #5002. So I called customer support. They politely agreed to rectify the situation and that I was not the only customer to face this situation, but said it would require contacting engineering to get a hard fix since in order for an account to renew a subscription they have to purge the library. This is fine because all of your iTunes account purchases are already backed-up. But it is not okay, if you have any other 3rd party music in your library. All of the 3rd party music I had uploaded from old CDs, converted LPs, or purchased through other online vendors would have to be deleted in order to renew my subscription. Engineering replied that there was no work around. This has left me at a weird impasse with customer support with no resolution. The music is just sitting there. I'm gladly willing to pay to renew my subscription, but because of bad engineering, deceptive advertising, and what I'm guessing is a greedy internal policy regarding 3rd party media, I stand to lose the couple thousand bucks just by being a loyal Apple consumer and choosing to use their product over alternatives in the market like Google Play. The morale of the story is this: ITUNES MATCH IS NOT A REAL CLOUD BASED SERVICE EVEN THOUGH IT IS ADVERTISED AS SUCH.  Think twice before you sign up!  

    Hello Michael, I've been reading many of your splendid replies so perhaps you can help me as I can't seem to find the exact solution to what should be a simple problem. I got a new iPod Touch recently and after spending almost 3 hours on the phone with Apple today we discovered my account was so old it hadn't synched up correctly with Apple's new data requirement so an Apple manager was connected to me and eventually we solved several issues which I won't bother going into here. However, at some point in all this I saw Match show up and music from the iCloud was seemingly downloaded onto my new iPod. I was surprised to see this as I thought I'd done away with Match long ago, but with the new version of iTunes which eliminated over 300 playlists and all of my music from iTunes when it updated to the newest version last week, I suppose anything is possible.
    What I want to do now is simply to be able to put my own music back onto my new iPod and ignore everything related to Match hoping it goes away and never returns. So I followed the online instructions to turn off Match, and now iTunes and my iPod say I need to subscribe to iTunes Match...but I still cannot download anything onto my new iPod and the 15,000 plus songs that appeared to be downloaded earlier when on the phone with an Apple manager are also no longer available. BTW, my Match subscription should be paid for, but I can't even figure out how to make sure it never gets updated again as this is nasty business scrubbing all 3rd party music off our own devices. Yuk. But can you help me please? Thus far, this experience with this new iPod Touch and the new iTunes 12.1 is the worst experience I have ever had with Apple and I own many Apple products.

    I have has Unlimited European subscription for several years with automatice renewal. Yesterday I found that my service no longer works. Apparently the card on my account had expired and so as the renewal payment did not go through my service was ended without any warning or notification of a problem.
    I contacted Customer'Service' - haha - and was told to add the subscription to my account again and that my telephone number would be renewed as  it was already part of my package. Last year I paid £33 - this year it cost £58 and the number was NOT included. The system wanted me to pay about another £35 to renew the number as well!
    I contacted Skype again and was told there was nothing they could do. Skype numbers are no longer included in the Subscription and because mine had lapsed it cannot be renewed and I have to pay for both services. An increase of over 100% in a year. A formal complaint by email got an initial standard reply that had nothing to do with my complaint and the second reply was basically 'tough luck'.
    I have cancelled the subscription renewal and will transfer the number to another provider.
    What can anyone do about the mighty Microsoft organisation? - well I can certainly publish this story on as many sites as I can to warn others.
    I think this is just a way to get people onto the new more expensive packages.

    In terms of a refund, what does it say on the app's description page in the store (a lot say that refunds aren't given) ?     The Creative Cloud subscription is not OS specific as it's licensed via your Adobe ID.
    You can purchase a single subscription and use it on 2 machines irrespective of it being Windows or Mac.

    We have an app that user can create auto-renew subscription in our service. The app need one account in our service and he can create a subscription for this user in our service, so, if he make login in our app on iphome, ipad, web, android, etc. he can use our services.
    So the problem is:
    1 - The user in our system called XXX create a subscription with itunes acount AC1 and after one month another people called YYY in our system make login on that same device, and create a new subscription with the same itunes user account called AC1, he can? We can make multiple subscription for the same itunes user?
    2 - When the transaction came to my device, i send the receipt file data to the server check on apple and create enable the content for that user. What the logic used to i know the customer by transactions in the receipt? If the user logout in app from their account, but the receipt still coming every week, how i know the customer by the transaction or receipt data after check on apple? How you do it?
    3 - The user make a subscription on 1st may, i sent the receipt to server and the server enable the content to me. My app is never openned more or the app is uninstalled, i still receiving the money from that subscription if i dont call method "[[SKPaymentQueue defaultQueue] finishTransaction: transaction]" on app because he dont open the app? I have another way, like a callback service, to receive the transaction notifications, or only by app?
    Im searching for this answer a lot, but not found

    Husband iphone 4s = apple id 2
    My ipad = apple id 3
    Son #1 ipad mini = apple id 4
    Son #2 ipad mini = apple id 5
    For iCloud.. Not quite, you want the same ID for iCloud on your phone and iPad so you have the same info on each. (so perhaps ID 1 on both.
    But if you want to share your music (assuming lets say its your ID 1 that has the iTunes account), you should all use ID 1 for iTunes.

  • Subscription Renewal Issue.

    I renewed my subscription and paid it thru Paypal to start from today, 26 July. All seemed fine, got the email "We've delivered your order", then got the Paypal notification email that my payment succeeded. But then, 4 minutes later, I got an email saying "Your subscription has been successfully cancelled" and that my subscription will cease at the end of this month!! What has happened here? My paypal is tied to my current bank account and I certainly had not cancelled my subscription. Thanks

  • TS4009 iCloud subscription renewed, but I don't have the storage.

    My iCloud subscription renewed on 14th October (Current Plan is stated at 10GB, so total 15GB).  It's 16th October and I have the message 'Your iCloud storage is full' and Total Storage is given as 5GB.  Backup isn't working.

    I was using my iPhone for company email a year ago, but I no longer need to do that. I deleted the global MDM(?) and after everything cleared out, the storage & backup tab came back.

  • Subscription renew process not user friendly

    This morning I restarted my Mac, as it was switched off over the weekend to save power.
    I opened Dreamweaver.
    A dialog popped up: "Renew your subscription: Go to the Subscription Manager to renew your subscription for Creative Cloud Membership and continue using your product uninterrupted. "
    I clicked 'Subscription Manager'.
    This took me to the Creative Cloud page: https://creative.adobe.com/
    There were no instructions here on how to renew my subscription.
    Do I need to reinstall each of the apps I am currently using via the Download links (which open Adobe Application Manager)? This is inconvenient because it means waiting for each of these apps to be downloaded.
    The whole process is really un-user-friendly and is creating a very slow start to the week as I cannot resume any work until my apps are reactivated.
    If this is to be a regular occurence is there some way for me to schedule this reinstall process to a time that is convenient for me (eg Friday afternoons every 3 months) so that I do not have these slow starts to the working week?

    You can renew your subscription by going to the "My Adobe" page on Adobe.com: https://www.adobe.com/account.html. From there, click on "My subscriptions and services" under "My products and services". You will be taken to a page that shows your Creative Cloud subscription with an option to renew. You should not need to reinstall any of the applications you have downloaded.
    Thank you for mentioning the broken link from the application dialog box. I can file a bug report for you and hopefully this issue can be fixed soon!

    Due to the time it can take for some transactions to be processed, we charge your bank or PayPal account three days in advance to ensure prompt delivery of your subscription. You don’t lose these three days: your subscription is still valid for the full period that you sign up for (one, three or 12 months).
    Although the recurring payment is taken three days in advance to avoid possible delays, your subscription minutes are reset based on the initial purchase date and time.
    Minutes are usually added at or about midnight UTC/GMT on the due date.

    I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

    By default all subscriptions are recurring as stated in terms of service. Your subscription will be automatically renewed until you cancel recurring payments as shown here: https://support.skype.com/faq/FA1881
    In order to ensure that customers don't get cut out in the middle of important call just because recurring payment was even 1 minute delayed, Skype is taking recurring payment 3 days in advance. Of course you don't lose these 3 days, subscription next month will still be activated on the 20th as expected.
    Your minutes will be available to your on the 20th of February and valid till 20th next month.
