Synchronisation of two SLDs does not work

Hello everybody,
I try to configure a unidirectional synchronisation between two SLDs based on NW 7.0 SR3.
The first SLD is my central one. Here are all ABAP and JAVA-Systems registered. That is the part, which works as expected.
Now I want, that these information are synchronized to another (backup)-SLD. Therefor I want to use the
administration => datasupplier functionality, to add another SLD.
In the source SLD I added the "backup"-SLD URL and user/pwd.
After that I restarted the SLD -Server. But nothing happens. Must I be more patiently and wait until the registered systems actualized there information or what should I do?

Hi,
When the Data gets transferred from another sub-module(or I should call sub-interface) to accounting , it validates the fields according to field status group (as you said in FSG in GL Master data).
In you case it seems that the sender object has personal number mandatory and while the receiver (i.e GL in this case ) does not have the field open. Hence the error.
You could change the sender or the receiver FSG however the implications of each change needs to be analyzed.

Ml_linkage entries (two modules in one)

I have two modules that I need to incorporate into one since they have shared state. I have successfully done this by adding a second entry to the ml_linkage member of the modlinkage structure. When I run modinfo, there are two entries under the same ID number that correspond to my two modules. This does not seem uncommon: a number of network modules have two entries, and NFS even has four.
Things seem to be working as they should, however I have a few questions to make sure that this approach isn't a mistake, given that these modules are still in early development.
FAQ 4.11 [1] states that the approach I have used should not work, and recommends using a third module that each of the other modules depends on. Similarly, FAQ 3.25 [2] offers another solution in which a third module is used to export a global variable. Are these approaches preferable to the approach I have taken and, if so, why? It seems cleaner to me to embed these two modules within one, rather than create external module dependencies.

These FAQ entries, along with the modlinkage(9S) man page and "Writing Device Drivers" prior to Solaris 8, seem to be saying that what I'm doing shouldn't be working (or allowed).
However, "Writing Device Drivers" for Solaris 8 and beyond remove the text that says drivers only support one module and that ml_linkage[1] is required to be NULL. Furthermore, the comment before struct modlinkage in sys/modctl.h says that Sun supplied modules use up to three ml_linkage entries.
Any enlightenment (perhaps history) on this issue would be appreciated. I'm hoping to determine whether the approach I'm using is somehow broken, not recommended, or just not documented.

Did you try your first program (1 module used) with both modules? Maybe one is damaged.
Then, have you tried your second program with letting only one module plugged in the chassis?
If I'm right, both modules can run totally independant, and you don't need to synchronize clocks or whatever to have them working. (but you can if it's the behavior you need)
Just start the module at the beginning of a sequence, then read inputs in a loop (without timing VI). Think about setting the Rate before starting.

Two modules means two forms. These are unrelated.
Or do you mean that you have one form with two blocks (master-detail)?
How to link the two tables data in the designer ?You have to define the foreign key on the tables. Based on this FK Forms Generator will generate the code if you create two Module Components (master-detail) in the module. Don't forget to define the Key Based Link on the master block.
How to View the generated triggers in the designer ?You can't. You have tom open the generated FMB file in Forms Builder to see what code is generated.

How to synchronise with two monitors

Dear NI,
I have an application, for that i want to show the two different screens with different mesurement values. i am using CRT and LCD screens. in CRT screens i am running main vi in this screens i have configuration, testsettings, trendmill,and operator name etc. are displayed, i need the seperate screens for to show measurement values to another screen. how , is it possible to do this? can able to two diferent exe with diferent monitors? and how to synchronise two monitors for my application.

Hi Balaji,
So if you have an extended desktop across two monitors then I would say you had two options.
1. Within one VI you could simple design the front panel in such a way that it extends across both screens with the relevant information in the right screen. The fact that there are two monitors present is transparent to the applications.
2. With two VIs there is a property for front panels to choose which monitor they are displayed on. This is available by wiring a VI reference to a property node and selecting front panel window >> monitor. You then enter an id for the monitor you want it to be displayed on, this is a numeric e.g. your primary monitor will be zero. You can see the property node help page here.

The situation:
i have a Iphone, IPad and a Mac with I Cloud i have on every device the same adressbook and bookmarks,
now my wife also have a Iphone and a acount on my Mac (and a different apple account).

Synchronisation between two databases tables

Hello,
In my case DATABASE A is always updating table TABLE XYZ of DATABASE B through MQ Series using online messages. Due to some reasons that link is down, could any one suggest how we keep continue synchronisation of these two databases, we can not modify any thing on DATABASE A we can only read it as it is master database while DATABSE B is updated by A.
Table of DATABASE A is containing 2 Million records same with B. Can any one let me know how to compare the rows of the tables of each database and if some rows are missing in DATABASE B it should be updated by DATABASE A.
Please suggest any solution so that both databases should be kepy synchroinised at table rows level.

DAQmx - one chassis two modules synchronous readings

I have a chassis with two 9205 modules, and a 9211 temperature module. I can continuously read voltages on any combination of channels on the two 9205 modules, but when I try to also read the 9211, either in the same while loop or a parallel while loop I get an error on the 9205 that the resource is reserved. I have the 9205 set for reading 10K/sec, in blocks of 2K (i.e. the loop reads 5X a second) so I configure the 9211 to read 2 samples at 10Hz (also 5X a second). The error I get -50103: The specified resource is reserved - I am not sure what resource is in conflict, the clock or some bus allocation?? can I read the three modules (at different clock rates) simultaneously?

Hi Lawrence,
What happens is that the slower module will repeate samples until it can acquire another sample. Both of the channels will acquire the same number of points, but the thermocouple module will store multiple instances of the same value until a new value is read in by DAQmx.
Here is what it looks like to have multiple channels setup for a single task:

Mail Folder Synchronisation between two Mac computers

I have an iMac as well as a MacBook Pro. I use mainly the iMac for my emails and filing, and when i am travelling i use the MacBook. Is it possible to have automatic synchronisation of the mail folders between the two computers, so that they are both up to date at all times? Please advice.

How to keep everything synchronised on two Macs

Hello,
My Father and I have just got two new Macs: I've got a MacBook Pro (not retina), and my Father has got the new 21.5" iMac. (And of course they both came with OSX Mountain lion).
We need to get them both to synchronise for work and keep them synchronised - if possible keeping all settings, preferences, files, applications etc. synchronised. So that when we swap Macs now and then if going out somewhere, they are exactly the same.
(Haven't got a Time capsule or Time Machine at the moment).

i am using two for loops and i want that each iteration for both for loops start at same time..
actually i want synchronisation between these two loops..
so when the each iteration of both loops will start at same time then these will be synchronised..
also if one loop take more time in one iteration then the other loop should pause until the other's iteration completes..

you are right thatthe loops will be synhronised as Labview executes code via data flow.
here i mean of synchronisation is that i want each iteration to be started at same time only...
this is what i am not getting..
i have tried it to b done by defining a local variable in one loop and using its value in the other but it did not work..
i hav tried some more methods but in vain...

I am running LR5 on my desktop and also have a version running on a MacBook for when I am travelling - is their a way to synchronise the two so they contain the same master catalogue?

Is it possible to organise a desktop and MacBook both running Lightroom 5 to synchronise Catalogues so both show the same images in the library?

This can be done with a little bit of setup, care in use and awareness using Smart Previews and a service like Dropbox to sync the catalog and Smart Previews between machines.
I've recorded a tutorial to show how I've been using this process. Note that you need to have enough space available on Dropbox to support the size of the files in question. check out the video and let me know if you have questions:

Two module I/O servers. one serial port

is this possible? it's logical that you'd wan't to put multiple device on one serial network, in order to not have add extra ports to you controlller. I can't seem to find the answer. I ould think that the API handles sharing of the port behind the scenes, but who knows. Can I save myself some work and use the I/O server, or am I going to have to do this the old-fashioned way and use the modbus library?

As long as you are using a 485 port you should be able to communicate with multiple devices using Modbus over Serial. It does look a bit strange because you need to have a different I/O server for each slave device but you can set them to all use the same serial port.
