Talent Visualization in  Nakisa

I want to know the difference b/w Talent in Nakisa and Talent Management in SAP.

SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa is a 100% web-based solution that provides real-time, in-depth visualization of organizational data and analytics, and execution of succession plans. It helps organizations to effectively align talent goals with business strategy based on a single system of record for talent and a single consistent view of the enterprise.
The SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa application consists of four components: Succession Planning, OrgChart, OrgModeler, and HCM Dashboard. Customers can choose to license HR Professional users in order to access the capabilities of all four components. This requires corresponding HR Professional licenses in SAP. If only the OrgChart option is required, customers must license the Employee user option and have corresponding SAP Employee users. The Talent Viewing (Manager) option provides access for managers only to the SuccessionPlanning and OrgChart components.
The SAP Talent Visualization application (with the exception of OrgModeler) does not have a separate database - it depends entirely on data and objects maintained in SAP ERP Human Capital Management. Customers should have Organizational Structures, including Position and Person data (Qualifications) in order to make best use of the SAP Talent Visualization application.

    we want to upgrade to SAP Org Visualization 3.0 (SAP Talent Visualization - Org Chart by Nakisa 3.0) and need some information about it.
    The product has been put on PAM within the last week but there is no technical info (O/S, DB, SAP version requirements etc) also we can not locate any upgrade/installation documentation.
    Currently we run Nakisa 2.0 as a non-Web AS program on a windows server. Rumour has it that Nakisa 3.0 run in a Web AS.
    Any information which can help us to upgrade to 3.0 will be great.

    Tiene herramientas de configuracion, para el Organigrama, y para planificacion de sucesiones, no hay mucha informacion liberada

  • Nakisa Search - Employee Names not displayed

    Searching in Nakisa V2.1 on employees returns employee IDs, but not First Names and Last Names. What could be causing this. Indexes are refreshed every night.

  • An error in Profile tab in Nakisa Administrator

    Hello
    We have faced a problem during the customization of the Nakisa OrgChart.
    I go to Nakisa Admin Console - OrgChart - Hierarchies - Organizational structure - Position. In the right frame there is Profile tab. I can not go into this tab because on this tab there is triangle yellow icon. When the mouse cursor is above this icon an error text appears:
    An error has occured while initializing this step: java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.nakisa.framework.configuration.DetailsPresentationConfiguration.toXML() of an object loaded from the local variable.
    Did anyone meet this problem?

    If you are facing problems with the Admin please try SAP note 1560825 (Unable to navigate through AdminConsole wizards in Nakisa).

  • Functional Area (FN) missing in objects list

    In transaction PP01, we cannot view "Functional Area (FN)" object under the Object type drop down list. It is als not shown under "Maintain Object Type" list. Can someone help how can be available. Is there any business function or switch to be activated?

    <b>You need to configure the integration schema to "extract" these fields in order for them to be available to OrgChart. I believe the file is called downloadSchema.xml and is found in your build folder. It is <i>not</i> the one in the SAPExtractor folder (that is for Staged).</b><br/><br/>

    <b>Your bottom requirement is standard - unless you secure an item then every employee will be able to see all data.</b>

    <b>In order to configure manager security you will need to undertake some XML configuration. This is not advisable unless you have experience of configuring the XML files, particularly with security as it is highly complex configuration. There are a couple of consultancies with specialist skills (Emeritis, ROC, Nakisa) that have the expertise to perform this type of configuration.</b>

    <b>In order to do this you need to configure an authentication source and populate the user population and rolemapping sections of the LoginConfiguration_<type>.xml in the Authentication folder of your build. <type> refers to the type of authentication you are using (SAP logon forms, Portal integration with Logon Tickets etc). You will then need to map the roles in RoleMapping.xml in the Security folder of your build and then configure each role in Roles.xml. You need to create a hierarchyscope for each dataelement you are restricting data for and then add the security keyword to the sections in AppResources.xml that you are restricting with this particular scope.</b>

    2.Organization Management - It deals with the personnel planning all about Business Units,Cost centers etc this will give the picture how your organization look virtually.
    Keep these modules as base must know modules
    3 Time Management - This manages employee times ,leaves,quotas,shifts,working schedules etc working patterns etc
    CATS ,Cross Application Time sheets
    Shift Planning etc are part of Time Management but these are individually separate knowledge of these is not necessary when you start your career going forward it would be helpful to grow.

  • Reading Incumbent and Position data in SuccessionPlanning

    Hi All:
    I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced an issue with the SuccessionPlanning module where the organizational hierarchy can be viewed, and the position/holder names are displayed in the hierarchy view.  However, when clicking on the position/holder for more information, the view details pane that comes up is unable to display little to no information about the holder or the position.
    So, for instance, if I were to click on the Position box for the Janitor position which was held by John Doe, the pane that opens up for more details the position and the incumbent lists his name as "n/a  n/a".
    I likely have a broader issue, because my searches for all positions and all talents yield no results and the log file tells me the dataset brought back no results which just isn't possibe, but I'm a little stumped because I HAVE actually connected to SAP with my connection string and am able to retrieve some data.  For instance,  I can see that the position Janitor is connected to job Custodial Enginner, which reflects ECC.  However, if I go to change the job the position is tied to directly in Nakisa, I can't get any jobs to show up in the dropdown for jobs. 
    The ID I'm using in my connection string is able to retrieve all this data if I were to log directly into ECC.
    Anyway, that's kind of a lot of info and I see most of the questions on here are about the OrgChart module, but since I'm a little stumped, I thought I'd give it a shot.  If anyone has come across this issue before, I welcome any feedback you can offer.  I'm using TVN 2.0 on ECC 6.0 ehp4.

    I would strongly recommend installing Service Pack 1 (SP1) for SAP TVN 2.0 before you do anything more (especially if you haven't done any customisations yet).  There is some very significant fixes in there.
    You will find this on service.sap.com/support then follow:

      SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa -> .... sure you can follow the rest from there.
    There is a zip file with code and a PDF install guide in.  Just follow the steps, it will take you 1-2 hrs I guess.

  • Incorrect Vacant status

    Hi Nakisa experts,
    I'm trying to display the correct icon for vacant positions in OrgChart (Nakisa 3.0) but all the positions are taken as occupied positions but there are vacant positions (at least in PPOME). I've checked some xml files but I couldn't find where I have to do necessary changes to get the correct vacant status. ¿Can anyone help me, please?

    In the early build versions of 3.0 there was a problem with how vacancies were determined.
    This solution varied between the Live and Staged solution but each was resolved by an update to the Add On (to include 2 new function modules for Position Vacancy).

  • Assigning Employees to Positions as Successors

    Hi Guru's,
    We have deployed HR Renewal 1.0 on EhP6 and planning to implement Talent Management. I went through SAP documentation for Manager Role and read that managers can assign employees to positions as successors.
    But, I could not find an application from role SAP_SR_TMC_MANAGER_6 where managers can perform this activity.
    Please suggest.

    I cannot stop a document printing on my hp 6500A Plus wireless printer once it has started to print.  I have to wait till each page tries to print, then press the red X to the right of the printer display window multiple times to kill that page print

  • 3.4RC not exporting Exif data in jpegs?

    I just checked and there seems to be no Exif data in my exported jpegs, even though Minimize Metadata is not checked. Anybody else experiencing this? DId I miss some new setting or way of specifying this? Win 7 64-bit, 64-bit LR.
