Text browser movement CSS

Question

Hello.
I'm currently teching myself CSS and having one or two
problems.
The main one is that the text positions itself in different
places for different browsers.
It's in a <div> tag to give me better control. When I
look at it in Int. Explorer it looks pretty much the same as the
'design' view in Dreamweaver (which is cool).
But when I look at it in Safari there's a huge gap...it seems
to pull any text on the page down.
Can anyone help? The following script comes after another
<div> tag which contains a .flv move player

This the first time I've used CSS and am trying to design a
simple site for my broadcast journalism work.
The URL is:
http://www.notjustthenews.co.uk/page2_movies.html
Basically, when the site is viewed in Safari there are huge
gaps, unlike the layout in Internet Explorer.
Also some of the font sizes vary, yet they are all set the
same size on my style sheet.
