Through JDev simple SCM Operations fails like Check in check out.

Hi Friends, I am using Oracle 9i Jdeveloper version 9.0.3.5 (Build 1437) with SCM Support Version 9.0.3.11.92.
I can successfully connect to ARCS.
But when I try to dop any operation(lock/check out/check in) on a file I get the following error:
Invalid File Path (file:/home/rchaturv/jdevhome/jdev/myprojects/oracle/apps/cdr/reportset/webui/ReportSetEntryModifyCO.java)
for ARCS operation. Processing cannot continue...
Any suggestion, pointer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rohit

Hi Rohit,
This forum is visible by external customers and is not appropriate for issues with internal systems and tools. ARCS is an internal system.
You should contact Applications Development Services with this issue. You can file a bug on bug.us against product 926 (ADEVSRV) to raise a support request.

  • SmartView 11.1.2.1 Operation Failed.  Check Log for Details

    Hello,
    We recently upgraded to 11.1.2.1 and are having several users getting an error message when submitting data to HFM via Smartview. The error says _"Operation failed. Check log for details"_. The odd part is that they said the data is still uploading to the DB correctly. I have two quick questions:
    1) Where can I go to check the logs for details?
    2) Outside of seeing the error log does anyone know what causes this?
    Thank you in advance,
    Jason

    Hi Frank,
    This is the service impl class TerritoryProposalPublicServiceImpl for our product's application module "TerritoryProposalPublicServiceAM".
    I added a new service method in this AM. I am using ServiceFactory class to call this method "findProposals()", first time when i run the code it invokes the service correctly, second time it fails throwing this errors.
    I found the place where it is getting exception, these are all frame works classes
    ServiceImpl.invokeCustom() -> calls acquireResources() method -> Calls ServiceConfiguration.getRootApplicationModule(this.getApplicationModuleDefName(), this.getConfigurationName()); -> Calls getApplicationModule()
    Exception is thrown from the line in bold
    Properties props = SDOValueStoreHelper.INSTANCE.getAppModuleSessionProperties();
    props.put(ServiceSessionImpl.SESSION_APPMODULE_NAME, pool.getName());
    props.put(ServiceSessionImpl.SESSION_TRANSACTION_ID, id);
    SessionCookie sess = pool.findOrCreateSessionCookie(id, id, props);
    sess.setEnvInfoProvider(envInfo);
    SDOValueStoreHelper.INSTANCE.setSessionEnv(sess);
    sess.setEnvironment(ServiceSessionImpl.SESSION_APPMODULE_NAME, pool.getName());
    sess.setEnvironment(ServiceSessionImpl.SESSION_TRANSACTION_ID, id);
    appModule = sess.useApplicationModule();
    //bug9215734,
    appModule.getTransaction().setBundledExceptionMode(true);
    Please see if you can figure out why sess.useApplicationModule() not able to find application module.

  • Jdev: public_html is being periodically left checked out ???

    We have an odd and periodic problem happen. OSCM version: 4.11
    - Periodically a check out is left on a directory (public_html in Jdev)
    - Someone else is allowed to checkout this directory and check in. This leaves
    We have exclusive lock enabled!!!!! ???
    - This leaves the dangling check-out hung
    Attempts to check-in force a merge, which hangs with CPU spinnnin on the RON
    - Undo checkout is the only solution.
    - When the earlier version is locked, all Jdev us of adding files is blocked even though
    the top version is one greater than the checked out version.
    Anybody have any ideas?
    TIA curt

    We have had a similar problem. It occurs when someone adds a new file to the repository without first downloading the latest version. If the developer's current workarea has an older version of the public_html folder, jdeveloper cannot check in the folder with the added files since there is a newer version. Since our repository rules are the latest content of a root folder, the refresh associated with the download updates to the latest public_html version before the add occurs. We also found that the merge does not work properly once the problem occurs. The merge window does not accurately indicate the differences between the versions and if you go ahead with the merge, the files not listed will not be present in the new checked in folder.

  • "SQL Operation failed" When deleting forms EPMA

    V11.1.2.1 - Planning through EPMA.
    I have a form which I made to test something that I cant get rid of. I can edit it, I can hide it and I can change any normal setting you would expect on it. When I open it, everything appears as expected. This is happening for just one form, I can create and delete others in the same folder. I've tried renaming it and deleting and that still doesn't work.
    I just cant select it and click "Delete": I get an error message saying "The SQL Operation failed. Check logs for details.
    Does anyone know which logs in particular might point me to the cause of the problem?
    Has anyone had and resolved this before?
    Regards
    Ed

    Check the user_projects/<instancename>/diagnostics/logs/starter or services depending on linx/windows. Check the Hyperion Planning log to see what errors are generated in the log when you attempt the delete. You should see an sql error message.
    If you don't see any messages you want to set planning property debug_enabled TRUE (the instructions for this are in the troubleshooting documentation for EPM) and restart the server.
    Retry and reexamine the logs.

  • Checking out graphics

    I am using Arbortext's Epic Editor to access the Oracle database through the IFS adapter. I cannot check out graphics though through this adapter because the box is grayed out. Does anyone know why this is or if there is a configuration parameter I need to change? Thanks.

    Nicholas-
    Thanks for the quick reply. Basically I have a graphic (JPG) I imported into FCS and the metadata is all there. I add notes to the keyword field in FCS, However when I check out the graphic and edit it in Photoshop CS4 the added notes aren't in the keywords field in file info (only the original keywords). I add a new note in Photoshop and re-checkin to FCS and the notes added in PS are there.
    I'd like to be able to have the metadata be exchanged both ways. Note if I export the JPG the info is retained but that's a lot of work importing and overwriting of files.

  • Application pool unable to check out application module instance in TOMCAT!

    Hi,
    I am able to run my bc4j application (WITH jsp CLIENTS) in JDEVELOPER just fine. But when I deploy it to TOMCAT, it gives me an error :
    "oracle.jbo.common.ampool.ApplicationPoolException: JBO-3003: The application pool WoopsBC4J.WoopsBC4JModule, failed to check out an application module instance"
    Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
    I have successfully deployed the sample ONLINEORDERS application to TOMCAT without any problem but this application somehow refuses to work.
    Is there anyone who encountered similar problems?
    Regards

    Chris, Here's the complete error message that I am receiving when I attempt to call the JSP page. I infact re-installed tomcat just to make sure that I don't have any old files that my application is referring to. So right now , I have only one application.

  • Cancel check out in CMSDK

    Hello,
    I am working with the CMSDK(iFS 9.0.3), and have a doubt about the operation of cancel-check-out.
    Ej:
    1.- I create a versionado document called "prueba.txt" with the content "original document".
    2.- I make check-out on the document "prueba.txt".
    3.- I modify the content of "prueba.txt" with the text "modified document"
    4.- I make cancel-check-out of "prueba.txt".
    5.- The content of "prueba.txt" is "modified document".
    According to as the previous version of iFS worked (with the PendingPublicObject), when making cancel-check-out the document was with the content that tapeworm before making check-out. Now when making cancel-check-out does not return to be left the content that tapeworm the document before check-out.
    My question: Is correct the new operation of cancel-check-out or I am making something bad?
    Note: cancel-check-out means to do unreserve() of the VersionSeries.
    Thanks.
    Fabricio.

    Hi Matt,
    My commentary basically aimed at cancel-check-out, since in the previous versions cancel-check-out discarded the modifications that had been made on the document, since these were stored in the PendingPublicObject. Now when cancel-check-out is made not they discard the modifications. He is this correct one?
    Thanks for the answer.
    Fabricio.

  • SSIS 2012 Scheduled SSIS package fail to start – Execution timed out

    Hi
    I am currently running into an issue that seem to have a live Connect issue raised for it. The following is the link to the connect issue https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/783291/ssis-package-fails-to-start-application-lock-timeout-in-ssisdb-catalog-create-execution
    There is also a blog post that explains this issue in more detail, however the solution
    it provides does not work all the time and I am very reluctant to create custom stored procedures in the SSISDB. http://speaksql.wordpress.com/2013/06/27/ssis-2012-fail-to-start-execution-timed-out/
    Just to give some more background. When scheduling 10 or more, in my case I scheduled 14, SQL Server Agent Jobs all executing a package in the SSIS Catalog and all kicking off on exactly the same time about 10% to 20% of these jobs fail stating one of the
    following error messages:
    The operation failed because the execution timed out.  Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider  Started:  12:20:01  Finished: 12:20:07  Elapsed:  5.797 seconds.  The package execution failed.  The step failed.
    Description: Transaction (Process ID 66) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.  Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider  Started:  14:06:48  Finished: 14:06:53
     Elapsed:  4.719 seconds.  The package execution failed.  The step failed.
    This timeout takes place both when using TSQL to start the package in the Job or when the step in the Job is set to start the package as an Integration Services Package.
    Steps to recreate this:
    1. Create one SSIS package that simply executes for around a minute. For example you can use an Execute SQL Task and simply execute the following TSQL "WAITFOR DELAY '00:01:00'"
    2. Create 14 SQL Server Agent Jobs each executing the same package and schedule all of them to run at the same time.
    3. Watch the execution of the jobs take place and note the failures. (This does not always happen and you might get one run in which everything executes without a problem. The next run might have 6 or 7 of the jobs fail.)
    You can also create 14 different SSIS packages, one for each job, and the result is the same.
    I am running on SQL 2012 SP1 CU4. Windows Server 2012 R2 patched to the lastest patch level.
    This issue does not happen when the packages are deployed to the SSIS Package Store the way that it was done in SQL2008 and before. It only occurs when the SSIS packages are deployed to the SSIS Catalog.
    Any help or feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Christo Olivier

    Hi Tom
    Thank you for the fast response. I went and increased the value by 1024KB instead of the initial
    512KB. Unfortunately this seems to only alleviate the issue but does not stop it from occurring. It
    is happening much less often now but still occurring intermittently.
    Regards,
    Christo

  • Mac OS X 10.6.8, receiving error message "Failed to check for updates. The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted." How to fix?

    When I try to update my software, I'm receiving the error message "Failed to check for updates. The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted."
    I'm using Safari 4.0.3. Yes, I know this is an old version of Safari - I can't update it, or any other software on my MacBook. Should I just wait for the Lion OS, or is there any kind of fix a non-technical Mac user like me can attempt without screwing up her laptop?
    I've tried clearing my cache and resetting Safari already - doesn't help. I've also tried to update after disabling my (Norton) antivirus software, thinking that might be interfering. None of these help.
    I don't know if it's a related problem, but also I can't download .pdf files from the internet, although I used to be able to.

    You should use the NortonAV uninstaller to uninstall it. Disabling the dreadful thing in the past hasn't always been sufficient for it to cease creating system havoc. The Mac NortonAV version has a long and well-earned reputation for doing truly seriously nasty things to OS X. Shame on Comcast for inflicting NortonAV on its Mac customers. It's not a matter of if NortonAV will mess up OS X but when and how badly. I can't help but wondering if some setting in your Norton AV has decided that NortonAV, rather than you, will be making executive decisions about what you are allowed to install on your computer and is keeping that fact a secret.
    After you are done uninstalling Norton use the finder to search for any Norton files that the uninstaller might have missed. Add the option to search for invisible files.
    After you have removed all the Norton bits and pieces restart in safe mode by holding down the shift key right after the startup chime. Keep holding down the shift key until you see the Apple logo and spinning gear. Safe mode does some maintenance tasks which means a much longer than normal startup time. Use Disk Utility to repair permission
    If your Mac works normally in safe mode restart. If things still aren't fixed you might want to give another shot at reinstalling Snow Leopard from the install DVD and applying the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo before taking your Mac to the Apple Store.
    If you feel the need to run AV software on your Mac use ClamXav in manual mode. It's donationware and doesn't seem to cause the litany of weird problems that are associated with other AV software.

  • JDev-SCM Check Out File Version

    When using the RON, I have been able to successfully check out a specific version of a file using the graphical Version History Viewer (and right clicking on the appropriate node).
    When attempting the same within the 9i JDeveloper IDE, however, this functionality does not appear to work the same/correctly? The node turns blue (and SCM believes the file version is checked out), but JDeveloper does not appear to reflect the same....the icon in the System Navigator does not change to indicate the file's checked out status and the specific version of the file is not written to the workarea's download directory (as is the case with the RON)....?

    This is Release Candidate 2 on Win2K with the Windows Look & Feel. I have tried the Oracle L&F, too, with the same outcome. The same steps in the RON, however, produce the desired result.
    Thanks.

  • Difference between deploying a process through JDev Vs using obant

    Hi,
    I have a Case statement in my BPEL process, which is like this:
    <case condition="bpws:getVariableData('VariableOrderLinesForSimRelationship',concat('/roordprvd:OrderInitiateRequest/roordprvd:OrderLineDataShape[',bpws:getVariableData('CounterVariableLine'),']/roordlnd:OrderLineDetails/roordlnd:RelatedLineNumber'))= bpws:getVariableData('VariableLineNumber')">
    When I deploy it using JDev, it gets compiled and deployed correctly.. However, when I am trying to deploy it using obant from the Developers prompt, it is giving the following compilation Error:
    [bpelc] BPEL validation failed.
    [bpelc] BPEL source validation failed, the errors are:
    [bpelc]
    [bpelc] [Error ORABPEL-10085]: invalid argument
    [bpelc] [Description]: in line 949 of "C:\TEMP\CompareTelcoFiles\ROTelcoNewOrder\ROTelcoNewOrder.bpel", the second argument "concat("/roordprvd:OrderInitiateRequest/roordprvd:OrderLineDataShape[", bpws:getVariableData("CounterVariableLine"), "]/roordlnd:OrderLineDetails/roordlnd:RelatedLineNumber")" for getVariableData is not a literal expression.
    [bpelc] [Potential fix]: Please correct the second argument, you might need to escape using single quote or " to make it literal.
    [bpelc] .
    However, when I changed the expression to:
    <case condition="bpws:getVariableData('VariableOrderLinesForSimRelationship','/roordprvd:OrderInitiateRequest/roordprvd:OrderLineDataShape[bpws:getVariableData("CounterVariableLine")]/roordlnd:OrderLineDetails/roordlnd:RelatedLineNumber')= bpws:getVariableData('VariableLineNumber')">
    it is working fine.
    I am trying to find out, in the first initial expression, when it worked through JDev, why it should have failed while using obant. (obant is being used by the testfloor to deploy the processes, where as developers use, JDev). I was under the impression, both these, namely, deploying through JDev and through obant, go through the same kind of checks and validations. Any input on this, please..
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vijay.

    Vijay,
    I can confirm, that including the latest production version (10.1.2.0.2) - JDev does not use obant to deploy (or make) a process.
    Even that both (meaning bpelc and the jdev compile process) use the same engine API, in certain cases obant is a little stronger with validations (which can be seen as strength or weakness)..
    This has been addressed in our current work on 10.1.3 - with 10.1.3 both will use obant - which is based on ant (and bpelc will offer you remote deployment)
    What version are you using? I have found a bug describing this behaviour (a little different situation - but might be the same base issue)
    hope this clarifies ..
    Clemens

    Hi quodd,,
    We are sorry for the issue being faced by you. I need some information from you so that I take further steps:
    1. Which Adobe product are you using Acrobat or Adobe reader- what is the complete version?
    2. How are you opening and saving the PDF, the exact workflow?
         Are you doing it from within Adobe Reader/Acrobat application or opening it from browser, doing changes and saving it using browser itself.
    3. Can you try to save a PDF to library with Custom template and managed metadata columns using browser directly.
    4. Please verify that columns name do not contain spaces or some other special characters.
       Can you try to save PDF to library with Custom template and just a single managed metadata column  with a simple name
