Tracking idoc

I have a jms-xi-idoc scenario. I am sending lot of idoc's to ECC through XI. There is a time lag
by the time idoc's reaches to ECC from XI. Is there any way to track the XI message with idoc number
with out seeing the segments of the idoc ?? By using message id of the XI can we track the corresponding
idoc ??
thanks
kumar

Hi Palanati Kumar,
   I got your requirement.
If you know the IDOC Number and if you want to find the corresponding XI Nessage, Follow the following steps.
In the backend system
1) Go to WE02 and give the idoc number and press F8.
2) Double click on the control record and go to DEtails tab.
3) Copy the Identification number (Exclusinh the First 3 characters ).
4) The Identification number is nothing but the message id of the message in XI.
Go to XI system
1) Go to IDX5 transaction.
2) GIve the message ID that was copied from Identification number.
3) Press F8 and double click on the record that displays after wards.

Ravi

  • Tracking Idoc status in target system from XI

    Hi
We have done File to IDOC Scenario succesfully i.e HR
data  from file has been mapped to HR Idoc(HRMD_A06) .
Now when Idoc is posted to R/3 , SXMB_MONI shows
    successful status(Idoc posted successfully) .
But when we check in R/3 in WE05 transaction ,though
the idoc is present but it shows status 51/52
with message "Idoc could not be posted" /"IDOC not
    fully posted" .
In this case how can we track in XI  whether the Idoc
is properly posted in the target system(i.e R/3) .
Since XI only shows that Idoc was successfully sent
irrespective of the status in R/3 .
Please suggest as we are new to XI .
    Regards,
    Shikha

    Hi
    Thanks for the guide.
we are  not sure of the steps to configure it in R/3
system so that it sends the acknowledgement back to XI
    system.
When we tried to configure it as per the guide , for
test purposes we executed the program RBDSTATE but it
gave message "No parties are interested in the selected
    data" .
Please guide us on this .
    Thanks

  • How to track IDOC

    Hi Experts,
I use WE19 to reprocess an existing IDOC (source IDOC). WE19 will generate a new IDOC. My question is how can I track the source IDOC of this new IDOC? Is there any way to get the source IDOC regarding this new IDOC number generated by WE19?
    Thanks a lot.
    Yu

Thanks George! But I couldn't find the original IDOC through BD87. My example is:  original inbound IDOC 9001, run WE19, change few segments' value, get new inbound IDOC 74001.
Can you kindly let me know in BD87 how to get the original IDOC?
    Thanks again.

  • Tracking IDOC reprocessing

I have developed a File to IDOC interface in PI/XI. The file I pick up will contain a list of invoices from a vendor system ,
that I convert into ACLPAY IDOCs and post invoices.
When the IDOCs are posted into our SAP  system some of the IDOCs fail and some of them are successful.
At the end of a business day the user will execute txn we05 to see the status of the IDOCs that came in for that day.
If any of the IDOCs failed the user would use WE19 to correct the data and reprocess the IDOC again.
The problem is the old IDOC that came in still has a error status and the new IDOC created by modifying the old IDOC doesnu2019t have any reference to the older IDOC.
Is there a way to see if and IDOC was created by reprocessing an already existing IDOC?
Or is there a better method to handle my scenario?
    Thanks

Can we track idoc xml msg directly from Integration Server?

    Hi Sridhar-
You can use the transaction sxmb_moni to see your message.
If your message is not available then update the cache..

  • Any table keep track of Sales order and relevant IDOC

    hi all,
Do we have any table to keep track Sales order and its relevant IDOC in the system?
A list of sales order# given by user, from the list, we would like to find a faster way to get the corresponding IDOC.
    thanks.

    Hi Reetha,
EDIDS table would have the IDOC Number & sales order number. Parameter 2 is the field in EDIDS which would have the sales order number.
I understand that this table would have many records but i dont think any other table would have the above combination. If you get any other table, then pls. do update @ it on this thread.
    Thanks,
    Best regards,

  • How to track the Inbound child IDOcs in PI 7.4 Single stack

    Hi Friends,
I would like to know the procedure of tracking the Inbound child IDocs in PI 7.4 Single stack.
    Here is the detailed description.
Say we are getting the data from third party system and the message may have multiple IDOcs in it. The message has processed successfully from PI and reached to the target system(ERP). So, now my question is how to track the IDOc count with in that message.
    Please suggest on the same.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Venkateswarlu.

    Hi Hareesh,
Thanks for your inputs. According to the link IDOC Status, Tracking in SAP PI/PO Single Stack I am thinking the required funcionality is not there in PO 7.4, but still i would like to have little more clarity before moving further.
I will explain what what was happening in PI 7.11 so that you can understand what i am looking for in PO 7.4.
We will get the data from third party system in xml format, we had to search for the messages based on interface name and time range within SXMB_MONI. After getting the result(say the output is 100 messages), we will download the values of "Outbound Reference" field(which is a key to find the child messages for messages resulting in an Interface Collection). Below is the snap of Outbound Reference field for your reference.
Now we will go to the table IDXRCVPOR in SE16(within PI) and put the values of Outbound Reference field in Text 24 and execute. Here we will get all the child messages.
Now please let me know if this kind of scenario is possible in PO 7.4.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

  • IDOC Status, Tracking in SAP PI/PO Single Stack

    Hi All,
My PO version: 7.4, SP4. I am not sure my questions below are still a limitation in current PI/PO single stack systems, and hence requesting your help for the same.
    1) Is there a way we can track outbound idocs in SAP PI/PO single stack similar to PI abap stack IDX5? ( Note:- I couldn't find any option in IDOC monitoring in single stack SAP PO 7.4, SP4)
    2) IDOC status is always 0 in SAP PO 7.4 single stack IDOC monitoring. I am not sure if this status is just specific to my PO system. Any setting needs to be applied?
ps: Please post only relevant answers/solutions

  • IDoc Tracking: TIME LIMIT EXCEEDED

    Hello!
We have about 15 different R/3 platforms connected to XI using the IDoc adapter. If I use the IDoc Tracking functionality in IDX5 it usually is working fine and the IDoc number in the receiving system and IDoc status are returned within seconds.
However, for one R/3 platform it was always taking about 30 minutes until the IDoc number and IDoc status were returned. The status bar displays that the IDOC_DATE_TIME_GET function module is executed.
Now it runs for over one hour until it stops with a TIME LIMIT EXCEEDED error message and no IDoc numbers and status is returned any more. What needs to be corrected to speed up IDoc tracking for this particular system?
    Regards, Tanja

Not sure if this would help, but this link speaks of how to bypass time limit exceeded

  • Track changes in customer material info (VD52) and create custom IDocs

    Dear experts,
we want to track changes, which are made in VD52 (Customer matertial info record) and create custom IDocs (Z-format) based on these changes. What is the best way to do this?
    Best regards,
    David

    Hi,
There are a dedicated BTEs (Business Tranaction Event) for this purpose (transaction FIBF).
    - created customer material infos OUTBOUND_CALL_00504001_E
    - changed customer material infos OUTBOUND_CALL_00504002_E
    - deleted customer material infos OUTBOUND_CALL_00504003_E
You can assign your own FM to the BTE and send custom IDoc whenever there is a new/updated/deletd customer-material info record.

  • IDoc Tracking: RSEIDOC2_CALL_VIA_RFC_DOCNUM error

    Hello!
With SP19 there is a new IDoc Tracking functionality available. You can click on an IDoc number in IDX5 and it takes you the IDoc monitoring in the sending or receiving system. However, for some SAP systems I get the following error:
Error  during remote call of method RSEIDOC2_CALL_VIA_RFC_DOCNUM in system <SM59 Destination>, message
    Message no. IDOC_ADAPTER840
If I test the SM59 destination with Test -> Authorization it is successful. What do I need to configure to make it work?
    Regards, Tanja

    Hi,
Even though both are on same patch ..level..
    please check the ALE settings..
    In general..from Note..
In the ALE tools, a RFC connection is established to other systems at different points. Instead of a normal ALE IDoc transfer, this concerns synchronous calls that partly execute a dialog message in the target system.
Examples are distributing a distribution model view, ALE-CCMS monitoring or IDoc tracing.
    Additional key words
    ALE synchronous RFC RFC_DATA_DETERMINE_FOR_CHECKS
    Cause and prerequisites
The standard system only allows for RFC destinations of type R/3 - R/3.
However, with regard to the Business Connector and in the era of connections via the Internet, for example, it might be useful and necessary to allow for other RFC types.
Nevertheless, this requires carrying out enhanced troubleshooting because other connections are more difficult to monitor and might display special error messages or not provide a dialog logon

  • DESADV01 IDOC and Carrier PRO/Tracking #

Currently working with the configuration and mapping development of the DESADV01 for our outbound ASN's. Where within the IDOC flat file version of this document can I find Carrier PRO or Tracking numbers?
I ran the WE61 tansaction to view the document layout.  I find references to the BOL#; however, I cannot find any Carrier Pro#/Tracking number references.
    Thank You.

You have not answered where are you planning to store the tracking # in SAP. I'm not aware of any such fields in the standard SD tables. If you're creating a custom field then, naturally, you'll have to extend the IDoc. If you're reusing some standard field, then search for a corresponding field in the IDoc.
Have you checked with the recipients of your IDoc? If you extend the IDoc and put this field where no one expects it, it will be useless. Mapping is usually a two-side process.

  • IDoc Tracking

    Hello!
With SP18 there is a new IDoc Tracking functionality available. You can click on an IDoc number in IDX5 and it takes you to the IDoc monitoring in the sending or receiving system. This is working fine for some systems within our landscape. Once I click on the IDoc number a new login screen opens where I put in my logon information and it takes me directly to the IDoc monitoring in the sending or receiving SAP system.
However, for some SAP systems the login screen does not pop up and I get the following error:
Error during remote call of method RSEIDOC2_CALL_VIA_RFC_DOCNUM in system <SM59 Destination>, message
    Message no. IDOC_ADAPTER840
If I test the SM59 destination with Test -> Authorization it is always successful. For testing I put my dialog user in SM59 and then it was working for all SAP systems and I was taken to the IDoc monitoring in the sending or receiving system without having to enter my login information. But of course we want to maintain a communication in SM59 and then the user has to enter the personal user info but this is not working for all systems because of the error mentioned above.
    Regards, Tanja

    Tanja,
