hello experts,
i need to know if we can maintain the training catalog based on company codes... as of now i can see the training catalog for the plan version... is it possible to have 2 catalogs for 2 different company codes which are in the same plan versions????

Dear Achana,
As per my knowledge that you can do what you need by restricting this in the Authorization Level in SAP Security Roles.
Also you can develop a Function Module that for example when this user access some Training and Event Management data, then this FM will read the InfoType 0001 the Company Code, then accordingly will display.
Also you can create 2 general high level Business Event Grouping of the Training Catalogue, then you can play with its access from the function module.
This is my suggestions, I hope it will help

    The training and event mgmt configuration is completed in R/3. The client requirement is that the training calendar should be displayed in ESS, so that every employee can apply the training. What are the additional functionalities required for my scenario?

    please note TEM is superceded by LSO ie learning solution which has the same functionality but in front end
    and can be integrated easily with portal as it is BSP based
    I would ask you to check service.sap.com for BP and help.sap.com for learning solution docs

  • Adhoc query for Training & Event mgmt

    Hi,
    Can anybody guide me for design the adhoc query for training & event management. I needto extract data upto attende level from a particular infoset.

    Hi,
    I have got a query in AD-HOC query.
    After creating the Adhoc query using the join table functionality the resulting adhoc query does not results any out put.
    What I have done is :
    1.Created a user group through SQ03
    2.Attched user to My user group
    3.Created an infoset using join table functionality(SQ02).
    4.Saved and generated the infoset
    5.Added the user group to the infoset and than run the ADHOC query.
    The table I have used to join is all PA table (For test pupose)
    Though the purpose of the custom infoset is to join PA,OM and E rec infotypes, for testing purpose I have joined only PA infotypes.
    Result:The adhoc query does not gives any out put instead it says no data could be read.
    Could you please tell what else I need to do so that the custom infosets gives an out put.
    Will greatly appreciate your help.

  • Integration bet Training & Event Mgmt & Time Mgmt - IT2002

    Hi,
    Please refer to the below scenario:
    100 employees(attendees) attend a training event(Business Event).Because we have an integration of TEM with TM, so IT 2002 for all the employees gets updated.
    However there are few(around 20)employees whose IT2002 is not getting updated.As a result of this, we have a Z-report which does not fetch the data for these 20 odd employees.
    Could anyone please let me know why this is happening?

    Payroll Area would have been locked for those employees during course bookings. Hence, IT2002 does not has course attendance hours.
    Check SM35 and execute the job (This job gets created after course bookings) to update IT2002 for those employees.
    Ensure Payroll Area is unlocked when you execute this job.

    In TC - OOER we can enter the instructor's name and address details
    only.

    you can maintain this in that path: Human Resources -> Training & Event Management -> Settings -> Current settings -> Resource Management -> S_AHR_61011893 - External Instructor.
    you can maintain:
    1) Object (first name, last name).
    2) Relationships (belong to a company).
    3) Address.
    4) Name format.

  • Training & Event Mgmt. in ESS

    Till date whichever document I have read regarding ESS, it says that "Training & Event Management" is part of it. Today when I am implementing ESS for my client, I see that ESS is having all the functionalities e.g. Leave request, Who's who, Life and work, Benefit & payment, Travel etc., but not TEM anywhere.
    My client needs Training related functionalities in ESS.
    Can anyone help regarding how do I add TEM in ESS?

    In the new version of ESS the Training and Event management is part of Learning Solution. Its now a different component.
    having said that the old functionality is still available.
    It the scope of the project is not to implement LSO ( Learning Portal)
    Pls ask your portal consultant to create IAC iveiw.
    for you pls go to tcode, SICF > f8 > default_host > sap > bc > gui and find PV0I and many more will be there.
    You need to activate and provide the list of services to Portal admin to add that into ESS main Role.

  • WorkFlow for Training & Event Mgmt .

    Hi SAP-HR Experts .
    I am badly stuck in a issue regaring Event & Training Mgmt .
    Issue is : There is training calender for a whole year , different - different training programs
    are schedules there . Employees Books himself/herself for a traing program through ESS , as He/She press the Send Button the Information goes to his Manager /HOD for approval , this information goes  his/her Manager /HOD through a WorkFlow mail .
    How to do this Friends ... being very confused ...
    Let me know Experts ... being Buckle under pressure .

    I have created in pp01 tcode all locations. How to transport these location  in Quality since there is not any Transport Request.

    Hi Archana! for specific objects transport use RHMOVE30 report; by selecting:
    - object type and object ID
    - uncheck 'Test'
    - check 'Transport'
    - select your task for transport in 'Task'.
    Next screen, press Transport/Delete button to confirm adding this object to the selected task.
    Additionaly, to transport an entire structure, you can use root objects + evaluation path. So, to transport a location structure, use:
    - object type: F
    - object id: (id of root location)
    - evaluation path: F-F

  • Setting up ESS for Training and Event Mgmt

    Hello to all SAP HR experts,
    i am now doing a project on SAP ERP HCM and would like to learn more about the things and steps i need to do to come up with a ESS for Training and Event Management. I have an account for SAP Netweaver and able to access Enterprise Portal (EP). Do i require to navigate in EP to use the items there or do i need to set up an adobe interactive form using SAP Netweaver Developer Studio, design the flow at Visual Studio(VC), then link all the VC at Guided Procedure? If that's the case how am going to extract the data which i have configured in the IMG path under Training and event mgmt (TEM) and also SAP Learning Solution(LSO)?
    For an example: I have created Training Event Groups, Training Event Types and Courses. If i want to so a paperless ESS, how can i extract all this into the fields which i have designed in my adobe interactive form.
    Please help me and guide me along

    There are 2 end user possibilities for Learning
    One is PV7I and PV8I ITS services which are part of an old ESS role and can be used as integrated ITS versions
    any ESS role via HpF or called directly via URL (without a Portal) - this will allow users to book course and events and view/change bookings etc
    The other is Business Package for Learning 1.0 which requires a Portal (and other LSO dependancies to run)
    this provides a wider range of Learning based activities including booking etc

    SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> Training and Event Management -> Integration -> Time Management -> Integration Yes or No?
    The documentation will inform you about the steps and results of this action.
    Here you can read the most important:
    Requirements
    You must first enter the integration plan version valid for PE in the PLOGI PLOGI entry in the step Set active plan version.
    Standard settings
    In the standard system, this switch is not active. It contains no preset value.
    Further notes
    The Training and Event Management component can be used without an interface to Time Management.
    If you do not have an interface with PT, the following function is not available: use of attendance and absence types for instructor function and training measures.

  • Training and event mgmt - employee absent scenario.

    Hi SAP Gurus,
    The scenario which i am working on Training and event mgmt.
    Here the scenario is if an employee applied for training program for 2 days and got confirmed, and the employee has not attended for 1 day, we need to deduct one day salary (LOP) for that one day.
    For my cleint Payroll is not implemented, we are using third party payroll called Hewitt Associates. My client team is suggesting me to check whether it is possible to track the employee through time mgmt from Attendance.
    Here we are using negative time mgmt.  How to do this scenario?

  • Training & Event Management - Business event appraisal

    Dear all,
    Wish you all a very Happy new year.
    I hve two questions.
    1. For e.g. there is one trainer who has conducted many training program in an org and business event appraisal has been performed where there is criteria to capture instructor information. Then how I can get a report for that trainer only. There is one selection criteria in the report of business event appraisal where I can select the instructor(appraisee) id. But it is not working.
    2. When there are more than one instructor in one business event, then how attendee appraisal and business event appraisal are done?
    3. In training & event mgt is it possible to perform periodic appraisal?

    Hi Daniel,
    There is no SAP standard report on Trainer wise attendance history for this purpose you have to define the Adhoc query.
    When there are more than one instructor in one business event it is a tough scenario to have attendee appraisal .
    In TEM it is possible to have periodic Appraisals.

  • Training & Event Management - Budgeting

    Dear All,
    In Training & Event mgt, there is one Budgeting function. It budgeting function what I know is some amount is assign to the head org unit & to its all corresponding org units. Then when an employee from the org unit is booked with attendee fee then the same amount is deducted from the org unit to which he belongs to.
    But is it possible if I assign amount only to the head org unit, and not to the org units which comes under the head org unit and book an employee with attendee fee who do not belongs to the head org unit but belongs to some other lower level  org unit. So in this scenario whether the Budgeting function will work? And whether the cost items which are maintained in business event level can also be taken for budgeting?

    Hi,
    If you mean how to include pricing within the TEM system, than you may do so on the Prices tab at Business Event Type level - you may specify the internal activity allocation and the external one for pricing.
    You may also use the functionality of Price Proposal for automatic price calculation.
    This prices can be transferred to the SAP CO system by an interface (transaction PV18): the participants' cost centers are debited and the cost center of the cost object of the business event is credited.

  • Training & Event Management - Attendee fee

    Dear all,
    In Training & Event mgt there is something called attendee fee which is maintained in business event type & business event. When I book an employee, at that time I maintain it as activity allocation. As per my understanding this fee is maintained when an employee pays fee to attend a course. Please correct if I am wrong.
    The questions are:-
    1. So when the employee himself do not pay but the company  pays fee for his employee when an employee attends any training program, then how it has to be treated & and how to maintain it?  Whether it has to be treated as attendee fee or cost items?
    2. Another question is when the company pays some attendee fee and for some reason the employee could not attend the training. At this time the company reimburse the fee from the employee. How it has to be maintained?

    Yes, Training & Event management and Appraisal are available in ITS based ESS business package.
    But latest ESS business package(webdynpro based) do not have training and event management. You may need to deploy Learning solution. Full functionality of Appraisal is available with ehp4 of ESS BP.
