Transport of the Project (TC - CMOD)

Hi,
I have a project created in CMOD in which I have many user exit variables.
Can someone help me how do I transport the same to quality. I have transported the queries which are using these variables. However I am not able to transport these variables to the Quality server.

Hi Ramesh,
For project:
Goto CMOD -->> enter project name -->> from menu GOTO -->> Object Directory entry -->> Give development class.
or change from Tmp.
system will ask for request.
Now go inside -->> compenents -->> include -->> again from GOTO -->> object directory enty you can collect the includes.
Or from SE80 also you can collect. or from SE38 give include name and collect.

Hi,
One simple way is goto CMOD and give project names with Z* or Y*. First findout the naming convensions following in your project and see.
Then gibe projects one by one and select COMPONENTS option and click on Display, if you find the following Function Exits means it is our DataSource project
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_003
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_004

I created the project in cmod using enhancement MM06E005. After created i got the issue The project contains inactive include tables CI_EKKODB & CI_EKPODB during activating the project. I want to move my project to production. please guide me to solve this issue...

Hi,
You need to activate the structures CI_EKKODB & CI_EkpoDb. After this, you need to activate the standard table EKKO & EKPO.
Then, you need to adjust the tables in SE14.

How to activate the new enhancement project thr cmod

I hv created new project thr CMOD as ZQMUDR and i hv created the include pgm and also it is working fine in development.
i hv transported both to production server. but it is not working in production. how to identify the problem in production. I don't whether we hv to activate the same in production or not.

u might not have transported to produciton properly
just check wether the project is active or not
if not try to re transport from development may be u might have missed something
u can activate in prodcution if u have authorizations but try to transpoort from developmetn once again

How to transport a Enhancement Project for extractor (CMOD)

Hi all,
how can i transport a Function Enhancement for a R/3 extractor (created on the CMOD transaction)?.
The extractor and the Structure Enhancement is already transported, but I go to SBIW and select the extractor under SAP-R/3 and select Function Enhancement, enter the project name and it's not transported.

Hi Juan,
Have you tried activating the components (under this project) and project in the target system.
If you are unable to see the components/projects, you can try activating them in your development system, it will prompt for a transport request, which you can get imported into your target system. Hope it helps,

Change the package of a project in CMOD

I want to change the name and package of the project created in CMOD which consists of screen exit.
Can anyone help me out how to change it

hai ramesh....
               the package / development class of
               objects, programs, function modules..... whatever it is
               it is possible to change their packages from any package to any package.
go to SM30...
provide table name TADIR...
click on maintain.
select ur object by selecting the check box.
enter ur object i.e table / program / FM name.
double click on it....
it will opens the popup window....
there u can remove the old package name.. and assign ur new package.

In T-code SE03, under Administration -> Display/Change Request Attributes
Select "SAP_CTS_PROJECT" and hit the change button and then change the value of "Default for All Clients" to Mandatory

Create the second transport for a project

When creating a project, we clicked "YES" to create a transport linked to this project.
However, once we have to release this transport, we want to create another transport
linked to the same project. If we create this transport from SE10, SE01, etc. perhaps
the said project will NOT be aware of this new transport.
Should we create the second transport from SOLMAN_PROJECT_ADMIN ?
And if so, how to do it?

if you want to transport solution manager project created in solar_project_admin then you can use the transport request created for the same via the sap menu as i have mentioned from
solman dev to solman prd etc
but if you want to transport the TR which are created for a CHARM project in solman then in that case you can schedule it with the task manager after changing the phase you can check the process flow etc here

Error in CHARM configuration to move JAVA objects 'The project is not relea

Hi,
I have BI 7.0 (ABAP + JAVA) landscape (i.e. CBD, CBQ and CBP) on SPS12 and SolMan 7.0 (SMD) on SPS14. My goal is to move both ABAP and JAVA transports through CHARM. I performed following tasks:
1. Configured TMS by selecting CBD as Transport Domain controller to move Java transports
2. Configured CHARM for BI landscape to move ABAP transports in SMD and it is working fine
3. Configured CTS+ to move JAVA transports on SMD instead of CBD because CTS_BROWSER service is not available on CBD due to SPS12. While configuring CTS+ in SMD, I used SIDs for BI Java landscape as reverse SID (i.e. DBC, QBC and PBC) and used mapping parameter to map to original SID. I used reverse SID because already in SMD (CBD, CBQ and CBP) has been defined for CHARM purpose. Now, I am able to move successfully JAVA transports of BI landscape from SMD.
4. I am having issue in configuring CHARM on SMD for JAVA transports. I am following http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager --> Media Library --> TechnicalPapers --> How to Set Up and Use eCTS/ChaRM Solution Manager 4.0 SP12 document. Following are the steps, I performed to move JAVA transport through CHARM:
     a. Defined JAVA systems (i.e. DBC, QBC and PBC) in SMSY as Enterprise portal systems
     b. Defined ABAP system (i.e. Where Transport request is created, in my case it is SMD) in SMSY
     c. Defined logical component for both ABAP and JAVA systems
     d. Defined solution manager project by adding two logical components created at step C (i.e. ABAP and JAVA)
     e. I am getting error when I am trying to activate CHARM and create task list. The error is as follows:
/TMWFLOW/TRACKN 101: 'Warning: Problems occurred during synchronization of the system landscape'.
If you choose 'Check', the system displays the following message in the results list of the check:
/TMWFLOW/TRACK_N 806: 'No consolidation system found for SMD-200 (project zjava3)'
If you try to create a task list by choosing the relevant pushbutton, the system issues message
/TMWFLOW/CONFIG_UI 017: 'The project is not released. Hence cycle can not be created'.
I found a relevant sap note for this 1054264 but it is not useful me, as it suggest to upgrade SolMan to SPS12 but whereas I am on SPS 14.
Any suggestion are welcome. Thanks in advance.

You should first fix the errors you get such as the missing consolidation system
Please see thread [Re: No consolidation system found for SID in solman; or check the forum on the error message "'No consolidation system found for" and you will find relevant information.
I would advise to update your SAP Solution Manager though to one of the latest available levels, there are a lot of fixes and enhancements to Charm (and also availability of quality gate management which gives some of the functionality of Charm but is more compact).

Choosing the project after Authorisation of Change req.

Dedar SolMan Gurus.
We have this issue to be solved. When I authorize the change request and I have more than one project for one system landscape (component), than for creating a normal correction the system sometimes offeres me one or more projects. On what metters it depends? On the phase of maintenace cycle. If yes than this should be wrong. No matter what phase is, I want to at least develop changes. I do not have to release them. If there is another reason please let me know.
When I am using u-gent correction the system let me choose even form the maitenace cycles in phas go-live (at least I think ).

Hi,
The selection of project and maintenance cycle depends on the ibase you are selecting. You should always select the target system's ibase and based on the transport route created to the target system, the project gets selected.
In normal correction, your maintenance cycle should be in the phase 'Devlopement with Release ' or Developement w/o Release'. This is because you are using the task list of maintenance cycle. Normal correction does not have its own task list.
You can create u'gent correction till your maintencnce cycle phase is 'Emergency Correction'. U'gent correction has its own task list,so its not depending on the maintenance cycle task list.
Please revert in case of any doubt.

How do you set the PROJECT END limit?

Hi there,
I know you can drag the right 'bracket' on the bar ruler or you can type in a value in the transport under the tempo. But on my system, I can only get it to bar 21601 and no further.
You may be thinking, what am I doing? Composing a 13 hour song?
I just have some files with time stamps on them and a few say they go beyond my project end. I'm hoping there's a setting where I can extend the limit.

I'm afraid there is not such a setting but you can try next..
If you need to increase this length as a time length,just halve the tempo. You can achieve the same result by using 4/8 time instead of 4/4 time, and treating quarter notes as eighth notes.A 4/8 song at a tempo of 60bpm (equivalent to 4/4 at a tempo of 120)etc.

How to deactivate the project lock functionality

I am trying configuration from solution manager to development syatem.
After performing the nessary configuration and saving it in a change request it give a message
"Create an RFC connection to the Solution Manager system, or deactivate the project lock functionality"
I have tried everything with RFC connection but problem is still there .
The only option is to deactivate the project lock functionality.
Can anyone help me with it?

I deactivated all the option in tx: /tmwflow/config_lock
but still it gives this message after i save the changes in change request in development system.

Transporting SPRO img project documentation

Hi,
We have a system config client copied from another system.
We currently have a requirement to transport all SAP SPRO project documentation from source system to another without a system export.
We were able to transport the project with the meta data and have the configuration.We now require the related sapscript notes that relates to the specific IMG configuration settings.
Please can you advise how to get this documentation over to the new system?

CMOD is the Project Management of SAP Enhancements (i.e., SMOD Enhancements). SMOD contains the actual enhancements and CMOD is the grouping of those SMOD enhancements.
User exits (Function module exits) are exits developed by SAP. The exit is implementerd as a call to a function module. The code for the function module is written by the developer. You are not writing the code directly in the function module, but in the include that is implemented in the function module.
The naming standard of function modules for function module exits is:
EXIT_<program name><3 digit suffix>
The call to a functionmodule exit is implemented as:
CALL CUSTOMER.-FUNCTION <3 digit suffix>
For Example:
The program for transaction VA01 Create salesorder is SAPMV45A
1. If you search for CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION program SAPMV45A you will find ( Among other user exits):
CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION '003'

Display the program where you are searching for and exit and search for CALL CUSTOMER-EXIT
If you know the Exit name, go to transaction CMOD. Choose menu Utillities->SAP Enhancements.
Enter the exit name and press enter.
You will now come to a screen that shows the function module exits for the exit.

3. Using Project management of SAP Enhancements
You want to create a project to enhance transaction VA01
- Go to transaction CMOD
- Create a project called ZVA01
- Choose the Enhancement assign radio button and press the Change button
In the first column enter V45A0002 Predefine sold-to party in sales document . Note that an enhancement can only be used for 1 project. If the enhancement is allready in use, and error message will be displayed
- Press Save
- Press Components. You can now see that enhancement uses user exit EXIT_SAPMV45A_002.
- Double Click on the exit.
Now the function module is displayed. Double click on include ZXVVAU04 in the function module
Insert the following code into the include: E_KUNNR = '2155'.
Activate the include program. Go back to CMOD and activate the project.
Goto transaction VA01 and create a salesorder. Note that Sold-to-party now automatically is "2155"
In CMOD you create a project, and then you can activate an enhancement (ie: an EXIT).
For SMOD, i use it to search enhancements, that after I apply in CMOD.
SMOD is the TC to help you get the information about the SAP enhancement,
CMOD is the TC to let you create your project using the SAP enhancement.
CMOD is the Project Management of SAP Enhancements (i.e., SMOD Enhancements).
SMOD contains the actual enhancements and CMOD is the grouping of those SMOD enhancements.

All transport in a project to be moved to QAS

Hi,
We have created a Project in Dev Server and it has created Transport request (PKRk900013)
Now all configuration done by consultants are being associated with the Project.
My question is how do i move these request in Quality , if i move the project request PKRk900013 will it move all requests under the project or i need to do the mass import.
Pls suggest.

Hi Irfan,
You need to transport each request created bu the consultants.
By moving the request all the tasks under the request will be moved to QAS.
You can ask your consultants to put manu changes under ine request and then release the request so that you will not have to import many transport request.
