  • Travel Allowance based on distance traveled

    Dear consultants,
My client wants to pay Travel Allowance to employees who travel unplanned during their travel plan. Employees are divided in "Reimbursement Group for M/A Enterprise". There are different rates per KM for each grade. I have specified the rates in table V_T706B2. But when we enter the amount against any expense type in TRIP, we wish the window to receive amount (if traveled by hired vehicle) or number of KM (if traveled by own vehicle).
    Where to customize it ?
    Regards,
    Bindumadhav

    Hi,
This is not possible. Its not possible to get a default value for KM and on the Expense Receipt level also. You can hav a default amount value but not a KM.

    Hi,
    24hour interval ?
Depends on company requirement , 24 hours interval means system shall calculate per diem on travel start time to 24 hours instead of calendar days which means start of trip time and calculate with working days..
    No day scaling ?
Day scaling according to method 1 ?
Day scaling according to method 2 ?
    following is help
Day Scaling for Reimbursement by Number of Trip Hours
Meals per diems can be scaled according to the number of trip days.
    Example:
From the eighth trip day on, a higher meals per diem is to be paid to the traveling employee.
Day scaling of meals per diems is, however, only possible for amounts calculated from view V_T706V. (Valuation of trip duration according to number of hours, see 'Valuation of trip duration')
Day scaling is enabled by setting the 'Number of trip days' field (ANZTA) for reading view V_T706V.
    You have the following options:
    1. Without day scaling
The 'Number of days' field is set with the total duration of the trip in days.
    2. Day scaling according to method 1
To scale reading within the trip, the 'Number of days' field is
set as follows to read view V_T706V:
    1           one-day trip
    1           several-day trip, first day
    2           several-day trip, second day
Trip days-1 several-day trip, next to last day
Trip days   several-day trip, last day
    3. Day scaling according to method 2
To scale reading within the trip, the 'Number of days' field is set
as follows to read view V_ T706V:
    1           one-day trip
    2           several-day trip, first day
    2           several-day trip, second day
Trip days-1 several-day trip, next to last day
Trip days   several-day trip, last day
    Note:
If no entry is found in view V_T706V to set the number of days, the next higher is searched for.
And could you explain with an eg for While scaling hours in "Scale Per Diems for Meals by Hours", Selection interval start date must be less than to start date of "Define Per Diems for Meals Per Day" (24 Hours)"
For example You have define Define Per Diems for Meals Per Day in which you have given Validity dates..
    Amount = USD $100
    Valid from 01-01-2010 to 31-12-9999
then you have to set calculation guideline as discussed earlier...
then during scaling , there are two selection interval dates
selection interval dates 01-01-2000 to 31-12-9999
Selection interval dates shall be greater (or equal to ) then Validity dates...
    Hope would help you..

    Muhammad Umer

  • Excise Duty sediment allowance calculation

How does SAP deal with sediment allowance:
For cask products we are able to claim a sediment allowance, for the undrinkable bits at the bottom of a cask. So if a product has a volume of 9 Gallons (40.9L) but there is a sediment figure of 0.7L we only pay duty on 40.2L.

  • Pro-Rata Allowance Calculation based on WSR

    Hi,
We need to perform an enhancement for a allowance to be calculated based on their WSR. Could any one please advise what would be the best approach to perform this customisation.
    Following are the details:
A calculation needs to be made based on an employee’s 0007 & 2003 records for a given month to determine what percentage of the planned hours for the month that a person has worked and then apply that percentage to the Monthly Staff Supplementary Allowance applicable for the Work Schedule Grouping.
Example A – Employee on Work Schedule for the Whole Month Employee has a 0007 infotype record that has them on Work Schedule SC112 for the whole of April 2008. System pays 100% of the allocated payment of $166.67 per month
Example B – Employee on Work Schedule for part of the Month, Employee has a 0007 infotype record that has them on Work Schedule SC112 for the part of April 2008 as they only started on 14th April 2008. Planned Hours for April for SC112 are 180 hours and this person has worked 108 hours which is 60% (=108/180). System pays 60% of the allocated payment of $166.67 per month which results in a payment of $100.00 for the employee.
Example C – Employee on Work Schedule for part of the Month Employee has a 2003 infotype record that has them on Work Schedule SC112 for the 14th April 2008. Planned Hours for April for SC112 are 180 hours and this person has worked 12 hours on SC112 which is 6.67% (=12/180). System pays 6.67% of the allocated payment of $166.67 per month which results in a payment of $11.11 for the employee.
Example D – Employee on 2 eligible Work Schedules for the Month Employee has a 0007 record for Work Schedule SC112 from 01.04.2008 to 14.04.2008 and then for SC412 from 15.04.2008 to 31.12.9999. This person has spent 100% of the month in an eligible Work Schedule grouping System pays 100% of the allocated payment of $166.67 per month which results in a payment of $166.67 for the employee.
Example E – Employee on 2 eligible Work Schedules for the Month, Employee has a 0007 record for Work Schedule SC112 from 01.04.2008 to 14.04.2008 and then for SC512 from 15.04.2008 to 31.12.9999. This person has spent 100% of the month in eligible Work Schedule groupings The period on SC112 represents 40% of the hours for SC112 for April 2008, 72 of 180 hours. The System calculates 100% of the allocated payment of $166.67 per month which results in a payment of $66.67 for the employee. The period on SC512 represents 50% of the hours for SC5112 for April 2008, 96 of 192 hours. The System calculates 50% of the allocated payment of $0.00 per month which results in a payment of $0.00 for the employee. Overall this employee receives a Staff Supplementary Allowance of $66.67 for April 2008.
Your help would be really appreciated.

  • Wrong Dearness Allowance Calculation

    Dear Friends,
For Dearness Allowance(wagetype 1009) we maintain the %age of Basic(wagetype 1000) in V_T539J quarterly. Accordingly in Payroll processing it is reflected.
In April 2014, for payroll area X it is calculated correctly,But for another payroll area Y all employee's DA calculation is wrong, It takes neither recent %age of basic
    nor that of previous quarter.
For this month's payroll we did the correction manually in IT0008 by calculating DA= 20.2% of basic . Then there's no meaning of maintaining it in V_T539J. It's very tedious to do it manually.
Need to know why this anomaly rises suddenly ? We don't use any BDC/ DA-report program to update DA in IT0008 rather from V_T539J only it is calculated.
    Regards,
    Nayak

    hi,
kindly check the table and dates in v_t539j in expand mode or in se11 so that you can able to understand if any issue in time of delimit..
or the check the employee data if some emploee data can be overright and check the indirect evaluation indicator I is visible........

  • Petrol Allowance Calculation

    Hi ,
Client requires Petrol Allowance to be calculated as follows
For some group employees Petrol Allowance is given as Rs 1.25 per kilometer??
For the rest it is given in the range of Rs 1 - Rs 5,000/-...
How to configure this ?Do we need to make any changes in the wage type characterisitics? From which WT to  copy??
    please reply urgently
    hr-user

    Hi,
1-revert back your settings as earlier in system
2-create a new dedn WT for allowance with settings to reduce that amount from gross earnings and dont include this for posting(This is because you have already adjusted the amount in posting thru manual entry so no need of posting again and also the extra amount is in payroll right,so to nullify effect in payroll you have to do this way)
3-the extra amount will get reduced from payroll in Nov and no posting will be done,as in payroll his gross earnings have increased by 500(apply only to that cadre of employees)
One more thing apprise your employees of the issue so they understand it well and dont complain
    try this way

  • Travel Time Calculation in CRM 2007 Resource Planning Application

    Dear all
we are using CRM 2007 RPA to schedule Service Technicians to Service Demands and also want to use the "Schedule" button to automatically have the system create Service Arrangements. We do use WFM Core and not any external tools.
The problem we are having is related to calculating travel time: the system automatically would line-up service arrangement after service arrangement without any time in between. We wonder how we could include travel times or other expected "in-between" times (e.g. customer specific delays) into the scheduling functionality.
Further, if we have the system propose resources for a demand, there is a column "distance" which says "n/a" in all cases - we wonder how we could (without using 3rd party tools), populate this field - and on what basis.
Thank you very much in advance and best regards
    Christian

    Hi,
How did you solve this issue?

  • Allowing calculated values to be overwritten, but then not recalculated

    Hi,
I'm a bit new to HFM and rules, so I'm looking for some advice on how best to set up HFM to meet one of our business requirements.
We have a need to show a certain part of our P&L for December as Opening WIP numbers for the following year. What I am thinking of doing currently is creating a new scenario called Opening WIP and using a rule to set the values of this new scenario to be calculated from the December P&L. However, different parts of our business may want to adjust these numbers, so I would need to provide a web form through which they can overwrite the numbers derived from the prior year. However, I am concerned that because a calculate rule will exist, when consolidations are run the manually adjusted numbers will simply be replaced by calcualted numbers.
Can anyone shed some light on what the best practice approach to this might be?
    Thanks,
    Vincent

    Hi,
You can use one custom dimension as an audit dimension. To be specific, the members of this dimension will be the different sources of the data like general ledger, manual input, other adjustment. So you will be able to copy the data to one specific member and then ask your users to make adjustments in other members.
    good luck

    Hi Manoj,
Suppose ABCD is the wagetype for xyz allowance. I hope you are getting this 1000 amount from T510.
This is the logic of PCR for your requirement.
    ABCD
      NUM=TKAU**        --> Getting Unpaid Absences (Suppose 2)
      RTE=KCONS2        --> Maintain CONS2 constant in T511K Table with 200
MULTI NRA            --> Multiplying No.of Absences with 200.. that is 400
ADDWT &BUFF     --> Saving that in one Variable
FILFF NRA            --> Restoring Actual values
AMT- &BUFF        --> Subtracting from 1000 and you will get the 600
      AMT?0
         ADDWT *
       <
AMT=0             --> if amount is less than 0 then amount will bocome 0
    Hope this helps.
