From ancient times men invented various tools and technologies for effectivecommunication. From the books on history we all know that men usedprimitive tools for sending a signal or message. For example takeglasses, fire and letter writing. Some of us if not all remember how weexperimented with various things to make them send our voices, take forinstance an empty match boxes. The conclusion of all this is that we didand will always try to find new and more efficient ways to send ourvoice or message to another. • How do you 'overlay' one graph onto another in Numbers?

I'm working on a survey and I want to show that the composition of my sample is representative of national trends in terms of gender, occupation, religious affiliation, etc. And I want to represent this graphically by, e.g., displaying the proportion of males and females in the UK population in a bar chart (49% and 51%), and then overlaying onto that the proportion of males and females in my survey (which is more like 40% and 60%), so that the two sets of figures are on top of one another and the reader can judge from that how representative my group is.
How do I do that in Numbers?

The problem with just dragging one on top of the other is that they still act as 2 different graphs. It's also difficult to make the one underneath visible.
A stacked column graph doesn't work either because that puts one column on top of the other. I want them laying on top of one another so that it's easier to compare their relative size. The best near solution I've found so far is to simply use a standard column graph, but with two series (one with the population data, one with my sample data). That puts the two columns for each category (male and female) side-by-side so you can compare easily, but it's not quite what I want.
I want something more like this:

It doesn't have to look exactly like that but hopefully you can see what I mean.

  • Long-Term Trends of Query and  Statistcs - BI Application Type

    HI all,
There is a query to read the statistical data as to how many times a query has been executed, and how long has each query taken while its run for a specific time period. The name of this query is Long Term Trends of Query and statistics, 0TCT_MC01_Q0424.  After making a bit of modification in this query, I added a key figure that says Count (To give u the count of the number of times this BI application object has been run).
In this query, there is a navigational attribute called BI Application Type, its values are XLWB, TMPL and # (Not Assigned). XLWB would be for queries or workbooks that have been run, TMPL would be for templates but what is the # for.
I ran this query for a day. The result showed that there is another query which has been run almost 88 times today, however, when I drill down on BI application type, I find that XLWB count is 5 while # count is 83. I want to know what is this #.
appreciate if anyone can clarify this.
    Rgds,
    Sree.

    Any update on this,
    Rgds,
    Sree.

  • Telecom Personal Argentina S.A. Is Not Respecting the Apple Warranty Terms

    Hi.
I'm from Argentina, and I did buy an iPhone 3GS 16GB in December, at the carrier Personal Argentina SA.
The cuestion is, I get radomly (plugged in or not) this error:
    http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/3040/img0035p.png
    http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/7811/img0036k.png
Today, i went to the carrier support, and they told "We don't wave that kind of error in our "Error List", so we can't replace your phone". That's a lie, because Apple support this.
I hope you find a solution, or give me a contact to tell this.
    Thanks

Looks to me (and I haven't been advised on changes) that this is a customer protection.  I don't know what the previous policy was, but this guarantees that if FiOS is no longer serviced in your area, you cannot be charged an early termination fee if there remains time left on your account.  It seems obvious that you wouldn't be he held responsible in such a case, but this is just putting it in writing.

Hi if the data loaded in the data mart is only having percentages and not having constituents then they cannot be added to any other levels other than the once at which they are loaded. The only way is to ensure that that data to be loaded is the constituents as shown in example.
Suppose user needs to see Gross Profitability which is ( Revenue - Cost)/ Revenue
I should not be creating a measure called Gross Profitability if i require reports of gross profitability at different context. Rather I should create Revenue and Cost as my measures so that i can calculate the Gross Profitability at any level required.

  • Not allowing changes to payment terms after the AR document is released to accounting

    Hi,
Anyone know the best way to not allow a user to change the payment terms after the AR document has been created in AR? This is affecting aging because users are changing the payment terms without permission. What is the best way to control that?
    Thank you.
    AK

    Hi A K
Frequent change in payment terms is something business should introspect. Payment term is decided and agreed upon with customer/vendor during the initial stages.
However from IT perspective, it can be controlled keeping some system controls.
    1. Limit the Customer master change transaction to very limited users or to a manager. There should be internal approvals by management for business to make a change. Bring this into force.
    2. Regularly run the customer master change reports and provide the trend to management to restrict or limit the changes.
    3. Use Change Message control for master data by providing necessary warnings or error messages when master data is changed.
    4. In  the sales order level, there is every possibility to change the payment term. Based on the user authorization get the payment term field greyed out and provide change access to accounting or to a specific user upon approvals. This is a bit complex process but I feel this brings up controls and stops the process from exploitation.
    5. Also activate 'Sensitive fields' KNB1-ZTERM for payment term field in customer master. This brings up another layer of confirmation of change by other users.
    6. Another back route, not recommended in all cases, is to subsititute the required payment term during accounting document posting.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,
    Sekhar

  • Trend micro

    Hello
We have bought a laptop and trend micro anti-virus +antispyware software  about a month ago at Best Buy. Trend micro was already preinstalled on a laptop.
For some reason we needed to reinstall system an a laptop. So after reinstallation we tried to install Trend Micro from the CD that we got from Best Buy
But this time it said that license expires in a month even thought we bought Trend Micro for about $50 and not a trial version.
Can this problem because of the fact that this software is only for 1 personal computer and after system reinstallation it thinks that it is another computer ?
Or what is the reason for it?
    Thank you

Not a problem. I would contact the store and let them know that when you purchased the PC, you were not charged for the Trend Micro. I believe we are still offering 6 months free with the purchase of a PC.

  • Lost my Trend Micro when updated to Mavericks

Just downloaded Maverick, but it says my version of Trend Micro that came with my laptop isn't compatible. It came with my purchase. Shouldn't I get a free upgrade to the new Trend Micro Titanium?

I agree with those who are telling you that Trend Micro is "crapware" and not needed.  The Best Buy people must have some incentive to sell this piece of junk.  It creates a perception in our minds that we need this.
There is a reason Apple products are more expensive, when you consider that the Operating System has so much built in.  If you, like I, have come from a Windows environment, you are conditioned to think of things in terms of your past experience and assume it is the same with OSX.  It's not.
I had Trend Micro on my Mac and tried to get rid of it.  I did it incorrectly and now it has left behind a "gift" that keeps on giving.
Based on my experience with the Trend Micro product, I recommend you uninstall it using the instructions provided by TrendMicro at their website.
DO NOT under any circumstances drag and drop it to the trash.  You will end up with remnants of the product on your system that are nearly impossible to get rid of without a tremendous amount of effort.  We all have better things to do!
OSX Mavericks has everything we need to keep our information safe.
    Good luck.

  • "Read Historical Trend(s)" gives one point too early.

I'm using LV6.0.2/LVDSC 6.0.2. It's my first time using LVDSC.
I'm finding that "Read Historical Trend" and "Read Historical Trend(s)" vis always return a data array with the first point being earlier than the 'start timestamp' input to the vi.
    Is this:
    1) normal behavior for the vi.
    OR
    2) due to the fact that my installation of the 6.0.2 updates did not go smoothly (I sometimes get a "secondary dll cannot be found" error msg when I start LV by opening a vi with "Read Historical Trend(s)" in its hierarchy ... no error when the vi is opened when LV is already running.)
NI Support has recommended that I do a complete unintall/reinstall which I'm about to do. I'm just curious as to w
hether the extra early point is due to my poor interpretation of what 'start timestamp' means or my bad installation.
    TIA. Donald
    =====================================================
Fading out. " ... J. Arthur Rank on gong."

This behavior is by design in the Citadel database's query interface.
The reason is if you drew a graph of the data returned by your query, and had the axis limits set to the start and stop time of the query. If we returned only the first point with a timestamp >= start time, <= stop time, then the graph would imply that there is NO data, or that logging was off, or that the data was bad before or after the end points. That is not true in those cases.
In terms of graphical displays, this is not a problem. You need to set the start and end time of the X-axis, and do NOT choose "loose fit", and do NOT choose autoscaling. The behavior of the graph is easy to configure to get the proper visual look, which will then also include an accurate reflection of the data in the
    system.
If you want to eliminate that first value, use the Array Subset function to get the remaining values.

  • SAP F&R:: Trend + Seasonality

    Hi Guys,
I have been trying to generate forecast for a set of consumption data where the data has a trend and a seasonality component. However, when I generate the forecast, the system at best ONLY takes into account the trend in the forecast. The seasonal patterns are completely IGNORED in the generated forecast values. Is there a way (other than using DIFs) of making the system consider and replicate the seasonal patterns in the forecast generated? Or am I inputing wrong kind of data?
Someone please throw some light on the issue.

Dear Nicolas, I did go through the documentation. Infact, I had done that before posting my query on the thread. However, I am still not able to resolve the issue.
Was wondering if I could get your personal contact deatils, so that I could send you some screen dumps.
    Once again stating the problem:
I have data which contains TREND + SEASONALITY. When I execute a forecast, I want the system to replicate the trend and the seasonality in the forecasted values. However, RIGHT NOW, I am unable to find such patterns in the forecast.
    Queries are as below:
    1. Does F&R have the capability at all to replicate TREND + SEASONALITY. Or because it is meant for short term planning, it automatically corrects the forecast for the TRENDS & SEASONALITY.
    2. If it has the capability, please tell me the EXACT SETTINGS, and not just the documentation.
    Thanks.

  • How to view forums by date, not "Trending Questions"

I used to be able to view forums by date, now they appear in order of "Trending Questions"  so that a discussion that has been inactive for three months now appears before a discussion from a day ago.
Is there a way to get back to the way it should be (by date), or must I live with this poorly conceived "upgrade?" I searched in my preferences and profile, but can't find a way to change this.

That's completely counter to the ethos behind the forums. Our goal is to build up as many previously-answered questions as possible, so as to reduce the need to ask the same thing over and over (which is immensely annoying for those who have to keep answering it!). In a perfect world, searching via Google, Community Help or the forums tool itself should always bring up an answer to any customer's questions regarding the use of Adobe products.
For info, the current database size in Jive is not an issue in terms of the user experience - the SQL queries run by a typical user/page session execute many times faster than the data itself can be sent across the networks.

Yes I do. I think it’s a dumb idea designed by someone twiddling their thumbs with nothing to do. If there is no activity on a Subject within two weeks it should moved to a Archive. Then deleted.  the less stuff you have to deal with the faster Forums will be. If the subject needs to be covered again bring it up again.
Some postscripts for previous replies in this thread:
"Trending" was taken from Twitter, where it refers to hashtags with high levels of recent use.
The "Trending" pod on the overview page for a discussions space is not identical to the first items in the 'discussions' tab, as it includes activity on the other content panels (documents, ideas, polls, etc.) where those are present. If we sent everyone to the discussions tab, users would never know there's a new document posted (e.g. an FAQ) and would have no way to reach it.
If you prefer a different layout of your set of regular forums, try the Personalized Homepage feature (using the "Your View" button on the forums homepage).

  • Trend Micro AntiVirus Renewal

My Trend Micro Antivirus is up for renewal in a few days. It does not give me an option for renewal online, it just wants me do call 1-888-best buy and ask for the subscription software team.
I've tried this and gotten lost in the 'press xx for xx' maze, with no option for "subscription support team" and long waits for an operator. When I did get to an operator, I was just passed onto another menu with no software support team option, and I was disconnected from there.
    I
I don't want to spend an hour on the phone trying to talk to someone who knows what's going on. Is there no way to renew online like theere was last year?
