Well, to paraphrase the old line, "What're you gonna believe, that email or your own lying eyes?"
The first thing I'd recommend trying is to power down your iPad (press & hold Sleep/Wake until the red OFF slider appears, then slide it to shut down), and then boot it back up and try again. You're resetting a bunch of state signals by doing that and this simple action (the first of a series recommended by Apple in your Users Guide) will quite often clear up these sorts of problems.

Updated to IOS6 and now my apps will not update on the Ipad2. I have to delete them and then re-install. But I have several hundred apps and this is cumbersome. Seems the new software is too buggy. I am telling people not to update software yet.
Basic troubleshooting from the Users Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Your iPad may already have the latest carrier settings, especially if you have updated to iOS 4.3.3.

I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro, I am trying to run MW3 but it will not work without crashing a few minuets into the game. The general specs on my computer are a dual processor 2.53 ghz. 4 gb ram and a NVIDIA geforce 9400 (9600 is the alternate card).
Things to note:
I have been unable to update firmware on this computer for about a year now. Im not sure why.
I am running a bootleg copy of Windows XP on this computer, I would not like to spend $149 to get Windows 7 if possible.
any thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated, thank you.Why don't you take your 'old' MBP into your local Apple Store and have them check out everything that's wrong with it - and I mean everything? Then, when you get an estimate about how much it would cost to get the machine completely repaired, ask about the Apple flat-rate repair pricing?
It's worth a shot - and with what you may save, you can put in the bank for a new MBP.

I have updated my iOS and now my hotmail will not verify my password through apple mail app. I have reset password - tried new password and old password and it still gives me password incorrect. Hotmail works fine on Mac. Has anyone had this difficulty and been able to resolve it?
Did you try deleting the mail account, then adding it back? I've read a lot of times that is what needs to happen in order for it to work properly.

I have an iPod 2nd gen . I have been trying to get an update to the software, but it will not update. Current version is 4.2.1 Trying to update it so I can use facebook on it, but with this version facebook will not work. Can someone help with this please.
Ipod touch 2 g does not go above ios 4.2.1 and the facebook update needs 4.3 , so there is no way to update the app.

How much space is your Other using? You may be able to reduce.

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

When you downloaded Lion from the Appstore (and paid 29$) you have 10.7.4.
After the download you will find it in the Applications folder: that is the installer ! The installer vanishes when used, thus if you want to make an installer disk (to avoid a later redownload), you should do it before you run this installer. Have you tried deleting it from the iBooks app and redownloading it via the Purchased link in the ibookstore in the iBooks app ? Re-downloading.
If you have the same problem after re-downloading it then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that book and use the 'Report a Problem' link. -

I am trying to reset my apple id under icloud account information on the original pc that I set the account up. I have changed email addresses now and would like to change to new address. I have gone through the steps on changing apple id and password and have my phone hooked up to pc but it will not change over to the new address and password thus I can not order any apps or use icloud. Go to Settings, and then turn iMessage and FaceTime on if they are off. If they are on, then turn them both off, restart the phone, then turn them back on.
Go back to Settings > iCloud. Whether the current or old email address is displayed there, try your current password. -

Try deleting the entries from the Movies part of your library (i.e. where you are trying to play them) and see if you get the cloud symbol next to them for re-downloading in the Purchased link
