TVKWZ : Org.Unit: Allowed Plants per Sales Organization

Hello,
At one of the implementations which is doing intercompany postings with SO-PO model has 250,000 records to be created in this table.
1. Is this okay to have such a huge number of records in this table ?
2. Is there any way BDC, LSMW method to load these records since this is a config. table.

Are there really 250000 plants available for this sales org. I think there is something wrong in this.
Please think of what are the essential criteria for the consultant to create a separate plant and create separate plants only if the criteria is met. Also please discuss with a MM consultant on reducing these plants. I really cant see morethan single digit number of plants having the need to be assigned to a sales org.

  • Benefit or drawback to define plant at sales organization level

at the time of creation of sales organization i have define plant at sales organization level.
there is another setup in IMG and that is "Assign sales organization - Distribution Channel - Plant".
what is the purpose of plant at sales organization level and what impact will occure if i assign plant on sales organization -distribution channel - Plant level. ?
kindly assit me that what will be better should i define plant at the time of creation sales organization of should i use IMG setup "Assign sales organization - Distribution Channel - Plant". ?

    Hi there,
When maintaining the material master, you extend the material to the sales org / distribution channel. If plant is not assigned to sales org / distribution channel, system will not allow you to extend the material to the sales org. That is the implication here.
Also when raising the sales org, you raise it with respect to a sales area in VA01. When you enter a material in Va01, system will throw an error that plant isnot defined for the sales area is it is not assigned to sales org / dist channel.
When defining the sales org you assign a plant there meaning that the sales org can be fulfilled by that plant. You can ofourse change the plant proposed by the system. Again when you change the plant, system will throw an error if it is not assigned to sales org / dist channel.

  • Sales order item category per sales organization

    Hi
Sorry for the question, I am FI/CO expert, and since our SD expert left us, I am also the SD expert now.
Can I define different item categories for the same sales order type for different sales orgs?
VOV4 (IMG-sales and distrebution-sales-sales documents-sales document item-assign item categories) has no sales organization parameter.
    Thanks

Yes, you can define different item categories (in t.code VOV7) and assign to same sales order types. The item category is determined by based on Sales document type + Item category group (from material master) + Item category usage + High level item category (check t.code VOV4).
The item categories are not assigned to sales organization, but the sales document types are assigned to sales area. Check t.code VOV8, where the sales documents are defined and in t.code OVAZ, the sales documents are assigned to sales area (sales area = sales org + distribution channel + division).
YOu can see the steps of configuration at SPRO -> Sales and distribtution ->Sales document header (related to sales document type) and then at -> Sales document item.

  • Lead Search As per Sales Organization

    Hello,
We are using CRM 2007, we need to restict the Lead (BT108S_LEA/Search) Search Component based on the Log in user Sales Organization.
For Example, Sales Org A - for place A- so user belongs to A will only search those lead belogs to Sales Organization A , otheriwise system should through an error message.
    Please Advice,
    Thanks &  Regards
    Deb

    Hi,
    Thanks for the Reply.
Just wanted to know it further like how it will work when the user belongs to Sales Organization A, execute the "search" option through Web UI. Through the Auth Obj, we can restrict the user from Create or Change the Lead document, but how to put that restriction while using WEB UI Search Option.
As these needs to be communicated to the Basis team to complete the authorization profile and assign it to the relevant bussiness roles.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Assignd functions to an org unit

    Hello,
Which functions can I assign to an org unit?

    Hi Iris,
Functions are possible applications in which the organizational unit is valid.
With these functions you can control which attributes are available and which properties the attribute have.
You can assign one or more functions to an organization unit. This means you can use one org unit for different areas, for example, an org unit can be a sales organization in the Sales scenario and a service org in the service scenario.
You can maintain different attributes depending on the assigned function.
You have three options to select on the Function tab in transaction PPOMA_CRM (Maintaing Org units)
    Sales, Service, Marketing
The corresponding attributes can be maintained on the attribute tab page by selecting one of the three attribute maintenance scenario Sales, Service, Marketing.
I hope your query is answered.

  • Org unit and a sales Org

    Hello,
Does any Org unit must be assigend to a sale Org and why
    thanks,
    Iris

    Hi Iris,
Organizational Units form the basis of an organizational plan, Organizational units are functional units of a company. Depending on how a company is organized, organizational units can consist of departments, groups or project teams.
There are three different areas basically in SAP CRM Sales, Marketing and Service. An org unit can be assigned to different areas, for example an organization unit can be a sales organization in the Sales Scenario and service org in the service scenario. If your organization wants to be a sales organization, then you need to maintain the same on the Function tab of the org model. All the attributes relevant to the same, can also be maintained in the attributes tab page.
Hope this was useful to you.
    regards

  • Restrict Opportunity access from other Org Unit Sales agent

    Hello,
My Scenario is, there is different Organisation Units and Sales agents are assigned to those Org units. Now the issue is, Sales agent from one Org unit is looking into the opportunity of other Org unit. As the sales agents have their own targets and competition, one should not see the Opportunities of other Org unit.
How can we achieve this ?
a ) Can we achieve this through PFCG roles, if so how ?
       b) I heard about the concept of Access control engine, which is usefull in this kind of scenario's. but again we need to implement ACS here, which I dont have ides.
Please suggest me the best method to achieve this. Also provide me step by step procedure also to achieve this.
    Thanks,
    MD.

    Hi, madhusudan444.
Yes, you can achieve this by PFCG.  Authorization objects CRM_ORD_LP or CRM_ORD_OE will help you.

I would not recommend using ACE in this issue, because ACE is abap. Your issue can achieve by standard procedure.

  • SALES ORGANIZATION -COMPANY CODE

    Hello,
Why sap says that the thumb rule that the sales organisation should be kept minimum per company code. What is the significance behind this statement. Why cant we have more than 1 sales org assigned to company code.

    Hello,
Each sales organization is assigned one company code.
You can have more than one Sales organisation in one Company Code .
Each sales organization represents a "selling unit" in the legal sense. Its responsibilities include product liability and any claims to recourse that customers may make. It is also responsible for the sale and distribution of merchandise and negotiates sales price conditions. Sales organizations can be used to reflect regional subdivisions of the market, for example by states. A sales transaction is always processed entirely within one sales organization.
If there is one sales organization for the company code
The sales organization represents the company code Sales areas defined in the R/3 System are used to refine the structure of the external organization
Each sales area consists of the following R/3 organizational units (in any combination):
    Sales Organizations
    Division
    Distribution channel
If there is more than one sales organization for the company code
Possible reasons for having more than one sales organization for each company code:
    · Different legal responsibilities, for example product liability
    · Unusual stipulations (for example legal), which make it necessary to distribute different product lines separately u2013 for example, products for medicine and veterinary medicine
    · The desire to separate completely the sales activities of different enterprise areas
Separate distribution responsibilities, each with their own Marketing and Pricing policy u2013 for example, one for the domestic market and one for export
Overlapping customer and product master records or the desire to maintain customer and product master data in a specific, unusual way
    · Overlapping responsibilities for order entry, or for sales and distribution processing (sales authorizations)
As generally said , our organisation structure in SAP should be simple to improve efficiency .
    Hope it helps..
    Thanks/Rajesh

  • Org Unit replication ECC to CRM

    Hi Experts,
    Here is the issue:
A Sales order is created in ECC and replicated to CRM. Based on this SO, we need to create returns in CRM. Now the SO is replicated to CRM with errors. So in CRM, error says: Org Unit is not determined.
Sales Org, Dist.Ch and Div is replicated but Org Unit is not replicated as there is no Org Unit concept in ECC.
Now how do I get out of this error in CRM Sales Order doc?
Checked in Org Management in CRM. There is no Org Unit existing for that Sales Org which is determined. So how do I make CRM SO error free. Any thoughts from experts would greatly be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    John

An organzation unit is simply what it means, which is logical representation of some business entity or department.  In CRM an organization unit can refer to a sales or service organization and has an attribute assigned to it, that designates what it represents.
We typically call a organization unit that has the following attributes maintained a sales area:
    Sales Org
    Distribution Channel
    Division
The function tab of the organizational unit is where I assign the corresponding R/3 sales area.  We then use the attributes tab in scenario sales to assign the remaining data.  This data usually is the allow division and distribution channels, along with the corresponding "tupels".  The tupel is the combination of the distribution channel and division.
You also need to mark the the object as permitted in determination, in order for it to be used in transactional processing.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Dealing  of address change of org. units

Here I am putting my question again. If we define the org. units like Plant,Sales org. ,Company code etc. and then change their  address, the address changes in the previous documents also.
Are there any settings through which we can let the old address in the previous documents be the same and at the same time can create new documents with new address.

If we define the org. units like Plant,Sales org. ,Company code etc. and then change their address, the address changes in the previous documents also.
I am not sure if that's a bug or a feature.
If you consider it is a bug, maybe you should consider some kind of Archiving system so you keep a copy of the original invoice "as-is".
Imagine you change a SAPSCRIPT or SMARFORM and you need to re-print the invoice. Not only the address will change, but also the format of the printed billing document itself!
An Archiving system would solve this problem because it would allow you to re-print exactly the same invoice that was printed months ago.

  • How to create batch job based on sales organization?

I am Sending data using RFC function module, within a report program.
Now according to functional requirement I have to create two batch job scheduling scenarios:
    1. Provide a batch job to be run towards month end (2X, 1X) to sent a delta record message using Report.  This is scheduled on demand or requested on demand.  Recommend 1 message per sales org.
Q: What does it mean by scheduled on demand or requested on demand?? Second thing is that like we have 10 sales org. and in variants for job scheduling we can assign only 1 at a time......how can i schedule per sales organization? do i need to create different job for each sales organization??
(2X, 1X) what is the meaning of this notation??
    2. Create a new nightly batch job, run after daily billing batch, to send a delta records message of Report. Recommend 1 message per sales org.
Anyone please provide me some details on this issue.......

  • Assignment of Single sales office to multiple sales organizations

    Hi,
We have a scenario where we need to Assign single sales office to multiple sales organizations in CRM. When i am trying to assign sales office to more than one sales organization 1st assignment between Sales office and Sales Org is getting deleted, and only the 2nd assignment is available.
Please let me know how to overcome this problem.
    Regards
    Raju

    Hi
    1. There are 2 version in CRM Org Model.
    a) SBIV (Standard Backend Integration Version)
    b) EBIV (Enhanced Backend Integration Version)
    2. EBIV is used to handle multiple assignments in CRM system.
    3. As you know we have 3 Org Units as far as Sales is concerned i.e. Sales Org, Sales Office, Sales Group.
    4. In R/3 there is a standard way to maintain multiple assignments among these org units.
Ex: Sales Group 'X' works (assigned) for 2 Sales Offices 'North' and 'South' simultaneously.
    5. But in CRM this assignment is not as common as in R/3 and is not supported thru SBIV.
    6. If you would like to have these multiple assignments made in R/3 available in CRM as well you may want to go thru EBIV.
    7. Once you run EBIV you cannot go back to SBIV.
    8. In EBIV divisions and distribution channels can only be assigned to sales units (sales organizations, sales offices, and sales groups). If they are assigned to any other neutral Org Units (Org Units without any Org Attributes), those assignments would be deleted once you shift from SBIV to EBIV.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
