I have tried to do troubleshooting based on all the inputs from checking my wireless connectivity to restoring defaults but am unable to do the scan to my email until now. i just get the message "Unable to connect to web services...".

Hi MimiMnl,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I see that you are unable to use the scan to email feature of your Photosmart 7525 printer because you are getting an unable to connect message.
There are several steps I would like you to try please.
Please turn off your printer.
Please turn off your router.  If your router doesn’t have an on/off switch, please unplug the power cord from the router.
After waiting a full 60 seconds please turn on your router (or plug it back in).
After the router has completed its startup routine please turn on your printer.
After the printer has completed its startup routine, please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.
Please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer. I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screen shots on how to do this.   Don’t worry that the screen shots show a Photosmart 7510 printer, the steps are the same.
Please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there is no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.
Please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.
Thank you.

Hi , Based on your description, unable to scan to hotmail, I suspect the issue is related to the Browser or your Microsoft settings. HP scan is not designed to scan to web mail, so I am not sure how much help I can be, but I will happily do all I can to assist you. What Browser are you using? I have read many complaints just like mine and we all try everything and you say you will send the solution to a private inbox.I do not understand. Why dont you post it so we all could read it? I CANNOT SCAN TO EMAIL and I tried everything.

    Hello D-ice,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that you are having issues with the Scan to Email feature with the Photosmart 7520. We send out reset steps in the PM's because it is not always needed to go to that length of troubleshooting.
Prior to attempting a reset, please ensure that these steps: Re: Trouble scanning using Photosmart 6520 have been done. I know your printer is not the 6520, but all steps are the same. If you are still having the issue, I will forward the reset to your PM inbox.

Hello FreckleFace, welcome to the forums
I read your post and from my understanding, you are unable to scan to email. I would like to know some more information about the problem and we will troubleshoot from there.
    Please let me know:
What printer(s) are installed on the computer?
How is the printer connected (USB/ wireless/ wired/ Bluetooth)? Have you tried an alternate connection (if not, please try and include the results)?
What is the Operating System of the computer?
Have you tested hardware functionality (copy and test print, power)?
What Firewalls and Anti-virus software are installed? Have you tried disabling or uninstalling them?
Did any changes occur on the computer around the time when the issue started?
Have you tried power cycling the entire network, and disconnect and reconnecting any connections?
Have you tried scanning from the printers control panel and the printers software from the computer?

  • Scan to email dont work

    I am very frustrated.
Not only does the scan to email not work but this forum seems silly. everyone is posting the same question and apparently there is an answer but instead of the answer being posted, it is being sent to the people asking the question individually. Defeats the purpose of a forum, no?
Ok. so now I registered to this forum. below is the same problem I had. Can you email me the answer too?
Hello Garytech1.. Please send me the fix. I believe I have the same issue. Scan to email from control panel does not work as it should. Everthing else works. when I first setup the email/pin it worked once and now it only says "preparing to scan" and then timesout and tells me to try again later.   I even disabled/re-enabled web services. Then it worked one time and now gives me the same issue. Please help
    Thanks!

    Hello @joebob999 ,
Sorry to hear about the recent issue when trying to Scan to Email. I do not know the steps that Garytech1 is sending via the Forum's Inbox, but you can send him an inbox message directly by clicking his name above. In the mean time, I would like to offer a few suggestions that may help.
Check for updates on the printer, Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates.
Power off the printer and ensure the power cord is connected to a wall out let.
Next you want to power reset the router. If it has a power button press that, if not, remove the power cord. Wait 60 seconds and then allow it to power back up. Once router is fully on, power up the printer.
Test the Scan to Email, if it works there is no need to continue. If it doesn't, try the next suggestion.
Refer to this Thread answered by a colleague of mine happytohelp01 : Efax 7510 still won't work after turning off/on ePrint several times. Follow the steps to setup a Manual I.P and DNS for the printer over the network. The steps will be the same, if not very similar for your printer as the one in the above post.
Try to Scan to Email once done, if still unable to Scan to Email, continue below.
Go back to the above Thread, rather than using the DNS suggested try this set; Primary DNS Server : 209.244.0.3 & Secondary DNS Server : 209.244.0.4.
Try to Scan to Email, if the feature is still not working you will need to call HP's Cloud Support team. If you live in the USA/Canada, 1-855-785-2777. If you live outside the USA/Canada, click HERE to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

  • Scan to Email not Working - Windows 7

My printer was working fine until i changed my comcast password.  now when I scan to email it tells me my username and/or password are invalid.  Anyone have any idea how I can fix this quickly?  I've been on the phone with HP for over 2 hours and now I've been told that I have to call another number tomorrow for Cloud because they were closed tonight.   Thanks in advance!

    Hi @littles4,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I gather that you are getting an error message when using the scan to email feature of your Officejet 8600 printer.
Your post leads me to believe that you are using the scan to email app found on the front panel of the printer. Would you please run the Wireless Setup Wizard (WSW) on the front panel so that the printer has the new wireless network password? If you are unsure how to do this, the steps can be found on page 225 of your User Guide, in the section titled “Set up the printer using the Wireless Setup Wizard”.
Please try to scan to email again. If you are still unable to scan to email, please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer; the steps, including screen shots, can be found in this post.
Please try to scan to email again. If you are still encountering issues, please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

  • Deskjet 3510 scan to email

Hi.  I am running on Windows 8. My printer is great other than that I am unable to "scan to email". It gives me the option but then says I have no email attached to this program. Can you help me with how to do that?
    Dana

Hello mcdana, and welcome to the HP Forums!
I see you are having issues using the scan to email function.  I would like to help you with that.  You most likely need to set up the proper email clients.  I would suggest utilizing this document on How to Scan.  You may notice some of the headers will relate to Windows 7, but the scan to email layout should be the same on Windows 8.  In that document there is a header marked 'How to scan with HP software.  Within that header, there will be another marked 'How to scan to email.'
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Scan to Email not working

    Hi
I am suddently getting "Server Connection error 403". I tried adding another email to see if this solves. But the problem persisted. I tried the following:
    1. As suggested in the HP forum(Kyle_W), doing a hard reset by pulling the power chord when the printer is on and plugging it back again after 15 seconds. Still it did not work.
    2. Trying to install the app "Scan to email" but could not locate it.
Please respond ASAP as I have an important doc to be scanned and emailed to my customer.

  • HP Officejet 6600 and Outlook 2007 unable to send scan to email

    Hi,
I am unable to scan (HP Officejet 6600) from my comuter to Outlook 2007.  I used to scan whatever I am scanning for the day from my HP Officejet 6600, and then I would see my scan finished then I would hit email scan. I would then recieve multiple errors.
Here is the process; HP Scan (save) and then I get an error: The HP Scan application is unable to open your application and/or cannot attach the scan to a new email. Please check you email configuration and try again. I then select (Next) I select "OK," which then provides me with another error: This action is not supported while an older version of Outlook is running.
    Therefore, can somebody help me?
    Thank you,
    Joe Martinez

    Hi Joe,
First, try reinstalling the latest HP software.
From Programs and Features uninstall the HP Officejet 6600 Basic Device Software, next dowload and install the latest software below, then check for any difference:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-108845-4&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
If the issue remain ensure that Outlook is set as the default program.
From the Control Panel select Programs, then Default Programs.
Select Outlook 2007 from the left pane, ensure it shown as "Outlook have all its defaults", otherwise click the button to set all the defautls for outlook and check again.
If there is still no change I suggest trying the Hotfix for outlook below, be sure to follow the entire Resolution Section:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/813745
If there is still no change I recommend repairing Office / Outlook and check if that may help, otherwise you may need to Reinstall the software.
You may follow the steps to repair Outlook 2007 below:
    http://www.companionlink.com/support/kb/Repair/Re-install_Outlook_2003,_2007,_2010
Hope that may help getting the issue resolved,

  • Unable to delete and incorrectly typed email address from the scan to email app on HP 6700

    Hello,
I incorrectly entered an email address on the SCAN TO EMAIL APP on my HP Officejet 6700 Premium and I am unable to remove this email.
When I enter the screen and select delete or modify or remove for the associated email it prompts me to enter the pin number (which of course was sent to an email address that I do not have since I typed it in incorrectly).
I have done a search of the forum and seen that people using this app with other machines are also having this problem and have not found an answer.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you!

Hi Denise-Adam, welcome to the HP Forums. If you do not have a settings option in the Scan To Email App, you will have to remove Web Services, and re-enable it. This will require you to add the printer back to HPConnected (if you are using it), and re-add the app.
The instructions to reset web services are under the section "What if I lose my printer code before registering my printer?" in this document:  Getting Started with ePrint
    I hope this helps.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium - Unable to Enable Scan to Email

I was out the country for the past two weeks, and just returned to find that I can no longer scan to email (or the computer) from the printer. I have verified the email settings many times over, yet I continue to receive the message that "Connection failed -- Click "OK" to go back."
This worked just fine before I left on my trip, but now I can't get anything to scan. I have no issues printing over our network.
Any recommendations? Have been using an email account on our gmail for business account, but also tried switching to my personal .mac account.. Same results on both :/

    Hey there
Try connecting to the network again by running the wireless setup wizard:
    On the printer display:
Select the right arrow, select Setup, Network, Wireless Setup Wizard
The printer will search for networks in your area, select yours
Input your network/router (WEP/WPA) password and the printer will tell you when it's connected
Now try and run the firmware update again once the printer is connected to the network.
Your other option for updating firmware is via USB connection to your computer if you are running a Windows OS: HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g_n Firmware
    I hope that helps!
